Aside from the obvious of getting in shape and being the best you can be for yourself, make some real guy friends. Everywhere is social if you make the effort. Get used to interacting with women. Women feeling sorry for you is a really bad sign, they clearly like you as a person but you are not sexually attractive to them. Be more of an asshole. Don't buy coffee for them and their boyfriends.

Most people are pretty dumb and just accept whatever society tells them. No point in arguing wth them. I have a few friends I can argue points with, we don't always agree but respect each others viewpoint, and shock horror, sometimes can change each others minds. They are all STEM graduates.
