you need skills: - time management so you spend enough time on yourself to be satisfied - kid raising skills so they arent shitty - vetting skills to find a good partner so that the marriage isnt shitty and doesnt fall apart - skills to maintain the marriage - skills to make enough money to be able to afford a family on top of what you want to do - the frame to be ok with living with yourself and not be forced into a marriage (many here will say this is a prerequisite for a good marriage)

Honestly dude, this sounds more like a mental/anxiety issue. If you're anxious, force yourself to do all the things you know you should be doing and are putting off. Only when you begin being successful will your anxiety melt away. Doing the shit you're terrified to do is the only way out of an anxiety hole. Godspeed

I dunno. The guy I linked up there doesn't like supplements based on undefined and impure contents (i.e. valerian root), and he knows what he's talking about. Read his article on supplements. You can try the 400mg magnesium, 1g taurine, 0.25-0.5mg melatonin before bed that he recommends, since they have CNS depressing effects. He says that more than a gram or two of melatonin will fuck your circadian rhythm for days, and I can confirm. But, these won't magically fix your sleep - you need to let …

I read in bed. The idea is that it distracts your brain, and you should fall asleep very quickly after you stop and turn the light off. Your brain doesn't get a chance to start being anxious and filled with thoughts again. If you read in another room then it's not quite as quick. Well, give it a try.

If your mind is racing and that's the reason you can't sleep, try laying in bed and reading until you're tired, then just turning off light and rolling over. Repeat until it works

I think this needs to be said more often here. Redpill is distilled and extreme, but if you apply anything in the extreme, it's bad. It's as bad as being 100% bluepill.

Redpill/bluepill extends to the female too. If you start as a red pilled man, and get a relationship that way, with a feminine redpilled woman, it will only last as long as you display red pilled behavior. You need to find a woman who is at least partially bluepilled and believes in commitment, not just attraction. This won't happen when you meet women with purely a redpilled approach. This still isn't a good approach, but it's your best shot

Seems like you understand well enough. I'm open to further discussion if you come up with anything else later. I am also developing my view on this. I am of the tentative opinion that it will be prohibitively difficult to find a woman who gets it. Extensive vetting would be needed, I suppose.

I deleted comment because my other reply is better. *I meant skewed against the male, of course. As for love... I think that is outside the scope of TRP. Apply TRP where applicable. I can't help you with the love bit. Keep in mind that love is moralistic, and the woman needs to be capable of this kind of thinking. This is DISTINCT from infatuation, hormones, the "honeymoon phase". After the honeymoon phase ends, you become bored with your partner, etc. but you continue to live together, that's…

It's not that we can't strive to be better than our animalistic brain. TRP is simply realism. It's a fact of life that animalistic desires influence people. TRP deals with recognizing that, and gives you the tools to manage it. Even if your goal is marriage, you will deal with shit tests from your gf/wife, jealous behavior, loss of attraction, so on and so forth. Even if your SO has the capability of recognizing these urges, and restraining herself (introspection is difficult, even for men, and …

Well, first off, marriage is just super skewed in favor of the highest earner in the relationship, which is usually the male. TRP deals with the part before marriage. Marriage is purely a moralistic construct. Not everyone in TRP is willing to put up with that or would even consider it to be a goal.

Neat. Go for it then. Just plan to get zero income from your wife after the first kid is born, if it still looks good then you'll be fine. I'd probably still wait a bit. I don't see any red flags in your relationship or her wanting to have kids (you want kids too). However, 21 is rather early for this. There's many factors besides just TRP tenets. How's your career/personal finances coming along? Having kids is very, very expensive. Personally, I plan to wait until I'm at least 28 before looking to settle down. Consider having your eggs/sperm frozen and stored for artificial insemination later. You'll run a lower risk of age-related problems with your babies.

I read OP's post and this is the best advice. Just be aware of the red flags, for the future. It sounds like your natural responses so far have been in line with what TRP suggests. But keep in mind that if you make changes (act more dominant, etc) then she may not approve of these changes and will then lose attraction. She may be comfortable with you now because she knows you won't go looking for other partners in the meantime. This is the fallacy that I see much of TRP fall into. Some guys are fine with spinning plates ad nauseum, other people like you want to have a "fulfilling relationship". You should get used to it eventually. If you wake up before your alarm then it's fine.

You're doing better than most, as far as "progress in life". You can shift focus to increasing your human interactions. Humans are inherently social creatures, so find some buddies to do stuff with once in a while.

Some people on here would tell you to next her, since she is not acting monogamous to you.

About this relationship, it's over. 100%. There is no going back from what she did. Even if she does come back to you it will be temporary and your suffering will be unnecessarily prolonged. Believe me, many of us were there, many times. Delete/block her everywhere. Accepting this is the best place to start OP.

I have a decent amount of disposable income, and I've set up automatic transfers (30% of my income) to my retirement/investment accounts. I have an emergency cash reserve already. I tend to let my disposable income accumulate to a few thousand, then either make a bulk transfer to my investments or buy larger ticket items that I want. Do you think I would still benefit from this app?

I wouldn't recommend it, my friends have been surprisingly unreceptive to TRP despite a long history of enjoying philosophical discussions. As others have said, lead by example, and maybe disseminate tidbits in a slow controlled manner.

This is the solution that my friend has adopted, after many years trying to talk reason into his mother.

I have a friend raised by a single mother. Your story reminds me of him. Your mother will NEVER fess up to her crimes as you see them (doing a shit job of raising you, being irresponsible with her partners, etc). In her self-righteous view, she did the best she could and you should be grateful to her and be her subservient child forever. Attempting to use logic to make her see her mistakes is an exercise in futility. That's how my friend's mom is, anyways.

Y'know, that's not a half bad idea.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
