I grew up with some really bad and even abusive step moms who resented that I was there...it's not just a part time parenting situation. You are a part of that kids life. I think this is especially true when the children are younger and more likely to form a serious attachment to you. If you don't want that, and the child is his, now is a really good time to leave.

There's nothing you can do about this now...you can only work with what is happening this very moment. You are pregnant - so unless something really tragic happens, you are going to be having a child with a man that you'd like to be married to but has no intention of marrying you. This leaves you with the option of staying with this man but you have to take responsibility for the choice to do so. You sign the prenup to protect yourselves legally in case of separation, you act as a married couple…

I've been really grateful for the big tent atmosphere in this sub. Sometimes the advice is harsh, but I've enjoyed the harshness because it's honest.

It's written kind of corny, but I've been sucked in like a romance novel - lol!

Redemption is a strange concept, especially if you grew up in a religious household. IDK about you, but in my household redemption is a lot like forgetting. You're forgiven so it's like it never happened. I think that's great from spiritual perspective - but it doesn't apply to the human world. Whatever happened has already happened and you have to own up to it. Never downplay it, and take responsibility for it. I think one of the great things about RPW is that it demands you to look at your act…

Sorry for such a late reply, I only stop by here every so often lately. xD When I was single I was single for a really long time and angry about that. Why can't I find a decent man even though I suck at everything from cooking to dressing well, am obese, have a horrible history, and all that?! (LOL!) Eventually I realized that if I don't have anything to offer like how the hell am I going to market that? So slowly I started learning how to keep house, how to dress better, how cook, and now I'm w…

There is a guy out there who probably isn't perfect, but would make a great captain and treat you well, and that makes him the guy you want to be with. That's the guy you want to be a first mate for. You will not meet your captain while you are this guys plate. If you do meet your captain, he's not going to be interested in snagging some other dudes sidechick. He's interested in HIGH QUALITY. So you have to break it off with this guy. No sexy times, no apology dinners, NO FRIENDS. He's a HORRIBL…

I used to be a feminist, and I wanted women to be able to do all the things that men do in the military. This thought has changed drastically over the years...I no longer consider myself a feminist. I think women can be sent to the front lines now, and recently I heard we will start registering for the draft as well. When I told my husband that this was upsetting for me, my husband got upset and said that at least things would be more fair for the men. For the record - I feel like the draft isn'…

I think it's possible but in my personal experience I think you have to keep in mind that your dating pool is SMALL. Goth, in the true sense of the style, isn't that popular anymore. Your dating pool is limited to people who find that style attractive. If you are only open to dating men who also dress goth than you are limited to men who find that style attractive, dress that way, and are attracted to you specifically. I find that a LOT of the women I've met who are goth are goth for a reason. B…

Have you tried stuff like rainy mood.com? There are lots of extremely long white noise tracks on YouTube. Beaches, rainforests, Tibetan bowls, you name it! I used to let it run in my iPod connected to a speaker for my baby.

I don't know if this is a mess you can really fix. Your man does not seem to value your time, and didn't offer any solutions or take control of the situation before you tried to. He's demonstrating this over and over to you. You have no reasonable expectation that he will ever be any different than he is now, is this the kind of relationship you wish to have? You can acknowledge where you went wrong, and learn better for the next time - but that only improves you. It won't necessarily change you…

This is beautiful! Sometimes I feel like the urge to control things rears up for me too and I have to be able to recognize it and reign it back in. My husband is not much of a talker, so usually I'm on my own with that. But, if things start getting tense and i take the time to examine them than I usually can figure out that it's ME lol. During the last few months I have also noticed that the week or two before ~my aunt comes to visit~ is the worst for this!

I guess I can now call myself a work at home mom. I make some side money doing something very specialized...and I completely lucked out on getting this job. It's really nice because sometimes I can treat my husband to dinner or a movie, and I can buy fashion or beauty products without feeling guilty about spending my husbands money on it...though he always tells me its no big. For fashion: I thrift shop, always buy on sale, and lately I am learning how to sew! For beauty products: I try to coupo…

This is all great advice! I tried to help our friends understand that they do not need a 16 page baby registry. Just put the stuff you NEED - the absolute essentials! If someone is going to spend money on your baby, and take the time to check your registry, why not ensure it's something that you actually need? I also made sure things were bundled on there. Instead of putting a bunch of individual bath products I would select an inexpensive set with all the essentials - etc. I also had one regist…

KitchenAid stand mixer for that price range. You can get all sorts of attachments for it and more easily make breads, pastries...even things like homemade sausages with the meat grinder attachment. There are probably cheaper versions of this appliance, but KitchenAid is the best known and probably the easiest to find parts and add-ons for. The best tool I've purchases in the last year was a food processor. I can shred a whole block of cheese in less than a minute, and make all kinds of purees an…

I found the book to be REALLY FUNNY. I think it says at one point, "YOUR MAN DOESN'T CARE." Don't take that out of context, I think it meant in regards to when some women tend to just verbally dump every little detail of their day. I laughed a lot because some things are worded in such a way that you generally only hear them as sarcastic jokes - but everything is explained really well and it's good advice! Don't be afraid, it's a great book! It's a fresh perspective for those of us who were entr…

Hi Sugarcrush, Yes it is a very bad problem - I have often had nightmares about it! He has problems with neuropathy already, and I read that he shouldn't be worrying about this stuff until he is older unless it's uncontrolled. Which it is mostly is :( He knows he needs to do better but he still ignores it. He probably showers with soap once a week. Usually he takes a shower and just stands in the hot water another 1-2 times a week...one time I asked him about his hair, because it was still greasy after a shower and he told me he just goes in there to relax. Huh, they might let me do that. He added me as his wife when he went to the VA hospital recently...I wonder if I could just stop by the clinic and talk to someone about setting up all his overdue appointments since they have a record of me. I agree, he should go. ...but how do I talk to him about going? He usually just brushes me off and never makes the appointment. When he does go, it's usually because the VA schedules it for him and sends him a letter to come in.

In culinary school they teach you methods and not just recipes. So you'll know how to cook a cut of meat and why. Everything was broken up into sections so...stocks one day, rice the next, red meat, fish, etc. It helped me to really save money at home because I knew how to make my own stocks for free, from chickens I fabricated myself. I'm so good at rice pilaf and risotto now I swear it was worth the cost of attendance alone. Honestly, I think everyone should go. I'm going back to finish culina…

I tried to teach myself how to cook but I ended up just going to cooking school. Sure there are a lot of pro chefs there, but I was surprised to see how many people were taking cooking classes just for fun! It's a great experience and invaluable. Lots of community colleges have these classes for less than you would think, and you end up with a bad-ass knife set. :D I love Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution cookbook. My husbands cleaning habits used to drive me bonkers! But I try to remember that its easy to just pick things up and not complain. So much harder to fight. Now I'm more used to it and my day seems calmer. Many women yell, I'm not the maid! So I tell myself that yep, I'm the maid. Then the work feels so reasonable.

It's not clear to me then, you just said "either let the guy pay, and fuck him after. Or pay for yourself, and hold off."?? The second paragraph wasn't there when I hit reply. Do you mean on the first date? Am I reading it too black/white?
/r/RedPillWomen16/02/15 06:55 PM
1

I agree it's not fair to use a date for free meals or drinks. But if a date doesn't want me to pay I'm not going to have sex with him just because he bought me coffee.
/r/RedPillWomen16/02/15 06:47 PM
2

I probably worded that wrong. The person I was replying to seemed to be saying that if a guy paid for dinner he was paying for the sex so it's not "getting the milk for free". What I was trying to say is that commitment is what should get the sex. Not as payment for sex, more like - how women are encouraged not to rack up their numbers or become a plate here by vetting for commitment first. (Possibly I've misunderstood?)

About a year ago we were robbed, my boyfriend slept through it and I know there's nothing he could've done because he can't help it, but it did kind of put a damper in my mind as another, "I wish you could've stepped up moment" Why would you make him feel bad about this? He could've gotten up and gotten killed. You don't have to be allowed to be feminine. You either are or you aren't. You can build him up, but you can't strip that power away when he doesn't perform the way you hope he will or it…

I agree that Sleeping Beauty is not well written...but I think it's still better than 50 shades simply because Anne Rice is a more talented writer to begin with. I kind of want to reread Sleeping Beauty, because all I remember about it was thinking, "Wow, Anne really loves butt-sex" and "horse racing" with tremendous air quotes.

If you had depression before the baby it makes it more likely for also getting PPD. A doctor is really helpful here because it's difficult to diagnose yourself.

You said you have a baby, and I cant help but wondering...have you been screened for PPD? I have had depression off/on most of my life but I never experienced anxiety until after I had a baby. It is so severe I often think I am dying of a heart attack. I read that it's actually very common to get anxiety as part of PPD, but a lot of the time it's not mentioned. I

I have the problem that my husband had a lot more disposable income before we got married, so he used to be able to splurge a lot. It's hard for him to not do that as much. For me its been helpful to just discuss with him that my main worries are that the monthly bills are paid and that I can do a good grocery shop. After that, whatever. The girl with the highest SMV I have ever met, she flirted with nobody. Men were attracted to her innocent demeanor like flies. She was very kind, and extremely beautiful, so she didn't need to advertise availability through flirting. The one man she did end up flirting with sure felt special! I think men see overly flirtatious behavior as an indicator of a high count or desperation.

I think a lot of this is specific to your region. Most in the USA are are street level or mid range. High class is more rare. Also, a lot of ads have fake info (pictures, names, ages, etc.) so I wouldn't use them to mine any meaningful data.

When I was going through this it was when more female oriented porn and "alt modeling" was pretty new. I remember reading articles on feminist websites talking about how porn degraded women and feeds into patriarchy by turning us into commodities. Or that because sex workers often work for pimps, male run agencies, or gangs...I guess a general assumption that most sex workers are just oppressed. A lot of clients were either beta guys who couldn't get a woman, alpha guys who didn't want to deal with a relationship, or husbands cheating on their wives. A lot of times they really loved their wives but had dead bedrooms. I would try and encourage them to talk to their wives because I felt bad for them. For wives it would be a dealbreaker to find out, but I realized that maybe men really do look at sex in a different way and maybe felt like doing that was better than cheating "for real." Thi…

He's wasting your valuable time! If you are wanting to commit then you don't have time to waste with him. If he can't get it's act together, go find a man who's already got it together. I read once that if you start dating a man and you can't get on the same page about what you both desire for the future, in the first few months or so, then it's time to move on.

We talked about it but its not something we really discuss a whole lot and we don't share it with others. When we met again he had his own problems that kept him from keeping a relationship...we both have helped each other to improve a lot. I guess its a combo of things. I am very lucky.

When I was younger, I was a sex worker. It's a long story but I was raised in a traditional christian home with strong red pill themes but I embraced feminist values and really rejected that. This led to a lot of problems with relationships - even jobs and friendships. Well, there were a lot of things at play. I needed help and I didn't know how to get it.
