In the US the agency handling the wage garnishment / enforcement of the child support, takes an admin fee, a processing fee and a bunch of other fees that are based on % of the amount of funds being managed for the transaction. This is typically around 5% of the total. So if you have 1k a month in child support they take 50 bucks to themselves.
