Yeah but you should care because if it's very early versions you may lose 90% of the benefits

Guys, make sure you don't get some old crap version. There are a ton around that cost more than the original course cost when it was copied
/r/RedPillBooks21/06/23 08:00 AM

Just checked it: they have a very outdated version there, you're truly better off with the free articles than getting one of those early versions

Yeah, pretty much. It's inborn in men to understand hypergamy at a subconscious level, else they wouldn't be chasing success or accomplishments.

Yep, you said it, great message! Also, red pill sometimes just makes up evolutionary psychology (if you really want to learn evolution go to David Buss... Or to that website you linked :D). Evolution is also not clockwork, sometimes it's random, sometimes it's even counterproductive. Plus, evolution advances because there are constantly people who are born that differ from all the rest.

It's not a bad point of view, but life is complex and there can be many reasons, including low self-esteem, or feeling safer in the relationship (without necessarily having been burnt). Or maybe they go for high-status, wealth, or even just big muscles... And the correlation with just plain attractiveness is not that high.

Absolutely, but doesn't mean he sells your email to someone else. Selling to your email is different than selling your email to someone else. The first is fair, the second is shady and dishonest.

It doesn't say it's "essential". It says SOME men need it. But I TOTALLY agree with you that you can find the same info somewhere else, without the toxicity. That's a great point, thanks for that.

Yeah, studies should form the basis of your analysis, which leads to higher-level theory. If one is a good observer, and a neutral one, they do add insights. But if you're biased, you're only going to DISTORT those studies to fit your narrative. The studies then only become a manipulative tool to acquire more credibility.
/r/ExRedPill11/12/20 09:21 AM

Yes, exactly, quotes out of context and, most of all, used to reach biased conclusions and build his pies-in-the-sky theory with the foundation being not data turned into theory good analysis, but bits of data twisted by bias. Take the "hypergamy" for example and ovulatory shift, both real (and who wouldn't want the best partner they can get after all? It's the same for anyone). But that are then twisted into "hypergamy doesn't care", as if women weren't able to care, or as if they didn't develo…

Feminists tend to have a more realistic of societal-level power dynamics, since it's true that men have long held more power and have a (much denied) interest in keeping women out of power positions. On the other hand, it takes more mental gymnastics to see men as repressed and disempowered. But I'm not much of an expert on the movement, so I might have missed something indeed. How do you think they're different?
/r/ExRedPill10/12/20 09:37 PM

Oh wow, sorry to hear that. On the other hand, it's understandable how one can fall for what that guy says: he speaks with high authority and conviction, quotes some studies here and there, and builds this all big convoluted theory that truly is nonsense, but at that first blush can make him come across as smart and deep.

Yes you're right, wonderful book. "The Evolution of Desire" is even more focused on human behavior. you can see at times that Buss does not have much "first hand experience", but the book is still a masterpiece.

Thanks man, I suppose you mean that you enjoyed "The Red Queen" but not Rollo's book, right? Yeah, Rollo's book is pseudo-science to masquerade rampant misogyny. Well, not even pseudo-science actually, just "science-inspired" at best.

I don't think so. Red Pill only wants to hear the first half, what women do wrong (because they're bad). The article instead says that all genders play the exact same game.

Awesome book! I haven't read much good stuff about good workplace strategies, which is strange considering that's exactly what people need most. But there are a few gems and this is one of them.

Yeah, you're right many should be there, and that's why a "TOP 10" is always a tough one (and possibly also why "top 10s" makes little sense sometimes). I tried to mix it up a bit, adding a few titles that some people would have otherwise missed, but that are still eye-opening. P.S.: Awesome tip there with "Unscripted", I totally missed it and it's even on audiobook, I added it to my reading list, thank you!

That's objective reality. Are you sure you're in the right place in "ex" Red Pill? Because that sounds a lot like Red Pill style of arguing. Here is an exercise: Put yourself in my shoes. You wrote something and you want to share it and get opinions, feedback and, as it's often the case here, some constructive conversation. You have two options: 1. share the link 2. spend 3h to rewrite the exact same thing which adds even less value because it will be a stripped-down version, so that some (angry…

Don't play that cheap shaming game. I'm sharing what I think, getting feedback and inputs, just like everyone else is doing here. If the community doesn't like it, it will be ignored or voted down.

Well, that's a good message. About the "two outcomes" of the Red Pill, where I suppose you were referring to what TRP promises and not what you think? I disagree on the dichotomy of "succeed" and "not succeed" though and on the consequences as well. For example: I read on how to develop an online business. I fall far, far short of any book or "guru" that I read about. I even fell short of my own goals time and time again. And yet I'm very happy and fulfilled. Personally I don't see personal deve…

I posted this one on The Red Pill for curiosity. And I got banned little after. Good experience though. The whole thing suggested that there might be more bitter misogynists in the Red Pill than I actually thought. Edit: You can see how that went here

The red pill means being capable of questioning your world view Which I'm seeing a lot here indeed (sarcastic). Women didn't vote for centuries, and the results didn't seem much better than today. Not worse either. Probably, just pretty much the same because voting means little. The only difference on who you think should vote or not is how you view the people who shouldn't NOT vote. If someone believes women are inferior and dumber, than it makes sense to say they shouldn't vote. Or... It makes…

That's how a true ringleader behaves, anyway: lash out to avoid discussion, insulate the community from outside perspectives, and demonize anyone who thinks differently. This is probably the stupidest thing you've said considering TRP is a forum dedicated to empowering men; Every second thread I read there is someone calling someone else "blue pill", "beta", "retarded" or a mix of one of those. That's social climbing and that's what I mean by "pushing others down".

Still the same. It CAN be a feminist tactic. And likely, it often is. But anyone, including a feminist, might call a misogynist someone who truly is a misogynist. That's also possible Probably that word is overly abused and only a minority of people called a misogynist are true misogynists. But that still doesn't mean that EVERY TIME someone uses the word "misogynist" he is using a feminist tactic. Instead denying that someone can truly be a misogynist is exactly what a (manipulative) misogynist…

Misogyny is bullshit invented by feminists. Racism is bullshit invented by Leon Trotsky. The purpose of both is shut down debate and discussion and shame those whose views fall outside the mainstream. They CAN be used to shut down discussion, that's true. In which case it's an unfair debating technique from people who don't want to discuss but want to browbeat the opponent. But that doesn't mean that the concepts per se don't exist and it doesn't mean that some people cannot be misogynists or ra…

Misogyny is a feminist tactic? That’s like saying racism is a minority tactic. Couldn't have said it better :). Now if the mod here had said that there is no misogyny in this subreddit, that might be up to discussion. But saying that misogyny is "invented by the feminists" is just nonsense. In some other subs there is now a feminist saying that misandry is invented by the patriarchy. See any difference? Me neither....

I think that's the smartest comment I've read today. Yes, if one comes from a deep blue pill background and/or has been hurt by blue pill beliefs, then going through the anger might just be part of the awakening phase. As long as he's aware that the end goal is not venting, ranting and hating, then that's all good. And then there are some men who weren't that blue pill to begin with and/or never got hurt before -think of men grown in more male-chauvinist societies, or men who had no experience w…

I literally spent 2h preparing a nice post with links and mentions but I got to find out posts with links get automatically taken down by the bots. So just a link now. This is the description of how I grew the most when I moved past what I believe are some weaknesses of some strands of the Red Pill which were holding me back.

Very good message. Yeah, it's difficult to pinpoint the movement. There are a few strands here and there that are definitely unhelpful, but there are also a lot of great contributors and many nuggets of wisdom here and there. And then, as you say, there are the few central tenets that one should always keep in mind

Best post I've read here in a long time. I have just today written an article on this expanding on exactly your thoughts. Going into the "Red Pill" mindsets vs the "Post-Red Pill mindsets": Moving past the Red Pill P.S.: "Beta" is the second in command and gets almost as much as sex as the "Alpha". That might tell you something about the level of sophistication of anyone who started using those designations.
/r/TheRedPill23/09/19 08:35 PM

What he's saying is that he reached a point where he doesn't care about his GF. Assuming he is also getting action on the side, I don't see anything wrong with it. Personally I wouldn't do it, but if he's cool with it, then what's the problem. What's silly is trying to frame it as an "alpha thing".
/r/TheRedPill23/09/19 08:28 PM
1

What's pathetic his him trying to position it as an "alpha thing". At 40 he should be mature enough that he doens't need justifications.
/r/TheRedPill23/09/19 08:26 PM
2

This is actually a very good post. I think it vastly overrates the fact that "women are attracted to psychopaths", which his obviously a huge generalization since there are plenty of idiotic, ugly and unattractive psychopaths, but spot on in fixing Rollo's wrong interpretation.
/r/TheRedPill23/09/19 08:06 PM
2

In the beginning he bought too much into the attacker's frame, which gave the attacker power Obama (ie. "I wasn't planning to", which dangerously sounds like a justification). From then on, Obama went into revenge mode. That was effective. I didn't like it as he looked too vengeful and butt-hurt, but he was effective in getting his revenge.
/r/TheRedPill22/09/19 09:37 PM
2

Well, Obama was far from perfect there, but how he ended by kissing his girl totally show what power differential truly is. It's the same of what Trump said about grabbing women by the pussy, except it's more civilized here. But the power dynamics are exactly the same.
/r/TheRedPill22/09/19 06:55 PM

Edit: more like "nothing" than "little".
/r/TheRedPill22/09/19 06:52 PM
2

Totally made up evolutionary theory form that interview. It's the opposite of what Rollo says: it's collaborative behavior that emerged from a violent nature, not the opposite. Also a complete misunderstanding of what a psychopath is. When someone says "could defend a woman with his life", he understands little of psychopaths.
/r/TheRedPill22/09/19 06:52 PM

I never thought about that, but I think it would be easier, yes. Just to be clear, when I said "paying" I meant paying a taxi ride, or it also happened they insisted they'd pay for the drink/food, but not paying me for sex. Not sure on that profession though. On average, I wouldn't expect a gigolo to be banging lots of hotties.

There are many examples ot true misogynists in that article straight from RP (all taken from highly respected members or from highly voted posts). /r/RedPillWives19/09/19 02:49 PM

Yeah, my point is that one cannot say "your pretty girlfriend is selling her body" in the hard-core prostitution way and you have no idea about it simply because you saw one woman do it. But yeah, what you say is true, I agree.

It’s why the infamous PUA Mystery got existential crisis at some point I think that guy had issues on his own. But it doesn't matter, your post is golden. You obviously didn’t have any crisis or major gender dynamics disillusioning experiences that made RP so compelling for you to accept. So I understand your stand against it. It actually saved many young men from suicide. It helped them finally understand what went wrong even though they played by the rules. Why they got so much pain despite so…

In fact, many women have "nurse" fetishes, where they will help you back up, but it only really lasts until you convince them you are hopeless. Boom! This. Great to see some great content on TRP. Maybe I jumped the gun in judging this community a bit too early.
/r/TheRedPill19/09/19 09:02 AM
2

Good post. But exceptions apply. This is (almost always) true if you look pathetic. But if you look somewhat broken on an overall strong frame many women will lap it up.

if not more motivated by physical appearance than men. Nah man, saying "if not more" is clearly not true. Men are more driven by physical appearance, no point in denying that. Women become more like men for short term (but not quite) and men become more like women for long term (but not quite)

LOL great post. As an experiment though it lacks scientific basis for generalization because of self-selection bias. Still, interesting one!
/r/TheRedPill19/09/19 08:45 AM

That's a good comment. But it does not fully capture the idea that betas become more alphas, too. So unless you're a total beta, you also become more alphas (plus don't forget, plenty of alpha men who don't mind throwing their money around)
/r/TheRedPill19/09/19 08:42 AM
10

Nah, it's not just that. I have had plenty of quick sex as a poor traveler where I didn't shell a single buck. Sometimes it also happened they volunteered to pay.
/r/TheRedPill19/09/19 08:40 AM

And you were in China were men outnumber women and there's plenty of white men. Imagine if you were in a poorer Asian country where women outnumber men. P.S.: black Africa is Asia on steroids for what you talk about.
/r/TheRedPill19/09/19 08:39 AM
2

That's a very good message and I agree with you. The way you put it, it makes sense, but the way I have seen "AWALT" being used, repeatedly, does not always fit your current interpretation. The example of the guy who goes to a hooker and says "all women are like that, there is a high chance she's selling her body for money" is ridiculous and there are plenty like that.
/r/RedPillWives19/09/19 07:56 AM

They end up spitting the pill back because it’s very bitter. Or because they don't want to become bitter and angry themselves. Food for thought

You think it's ture that "all women are the same"? The control of the unfair system is country-specific and even in Western countries, it still depends on situations. I personally know some men who hid all their possession behind layers of trust funds, offshore companies and secret accouonts and left their wives -and some even children- in desperation situations while they live the life abroad. Overall though I agree that the system in many Western countries is fucked up, but TRP exaggerates it …

I know this won't be popular, but here it is: I truly think this AWALT thing is idiotic. So basically one girl lied and cheated so all girls like and cheat? It's the "ALL" part that never fails to baffle me: "ALL" almost never applies to life and complex human behavior. By the same token, she could say "all men will buy your lies but they'l never take you back when they find out the truth" (but we both know that, especially the second part, is not true). That being said, you acted like a champ (…

In my opinion, he is a dominant guy, no bones about it. He crosses the line a few times though getting into abusive. However, it takes two to tango and she is also badly misbehaving. But this video is getting so many bad reactions that I wanted to ask for a few more opinions. What do you think?

Great job man, well done, true inspiration! Just cut out that "feminine imperative" BS though. Now you're in a relationship, act like a true leader (and not like a "me VS your imperative")

I'm testing a software that turns the website into an app-like experience. It helps the site load faster, but that prompt to install might be annoying indeed.

This is actually a very good comment. I agree that most type-a personalities will not gain as much from this book. And some socially-unskilled people might actually lose out as they start applying "laws" at random and out of context (if you head over to the subreddit of the 49 Laws of Power you'll see countless examples).
/r/TheRedPill09/08/19 10:38 PM

Interesting point of view, but I don't buy the "it could have been better but it was more complicated on purpose" argument.
/r/TheRedPill08/08/19 05:16 PM

Yeah, no rush. I agree with you, "crushing your enemy completely" is straightforward enough
/r/TheRedPill08/08/19 02:17 PM

Hello fellas. I often felt two weaknesses of "The 48 Laws of Power" were that of being too micro (and thus not generalizable "laws") and too narrowly focused on old times (better for kings and courtiers, less for managers and employees). So I thought of starting this re-interpretation with more modern examples and with a wider lens to capture general principles of power dynamics (and exceptions). Let me know what you think.

I disagree. Especially with this: Just make those 2.1 kids. Stop making it about You, work for something greater than You Because "making those kids" is not about "something greater than you", but it's obeying to the dictatorship of the selfish gene which we should probably be transcending instead.

P.S.: I'm not sure "men's right" is the correct flair, but it seemed more befitting than "rant"

Having said that, I agree mating doesn't have to be zero sum (...) Mating can be a mutually beneficial arrangement Well, it sounds like you understand it very well, actually. That's the whole point :). The rest are more details up to discussion. You say it isn't always easy to find, which might be the case. But I also don't think it's that difficult to find.

It's funny how: You feel you can tell someone else what he has or hasn't learned You generalize to a WHOLE discipline to the point of saying it added NO value whatsoever You take the pain of downvoting my comments :) It seems like you are very invested in defending your point of view. Cognitive dissonance, maybe? But maybe you also consider psychology is a hoax. I might not reply from here on, cheers.

To your puzzle maybe not. It certainly helped me understand a lot about people. I'll be happy to discard when it makes no more sense, but as of today, I am thankful for evo psychology.
/r/ExRedPill02/07/19 09:40 PM

It's not a race to who has more "skills" in this or that, it's about each discipline adding its own little piece of the puzzle to reach a better understanding of humans, life or the world. Evo psych is not as testable as the millions who preceded us are dead, but it adds his own piece as well.
/r/ExRedPill02/07/19 08:48 PM

Sorry, it's not true that evo psychology is BS. It's the way SOME interpret it and USE it for their own made-up theory. But the discipline itself does not deserve the thrashing you give it

Man, this shows such an entrenched combative view of the world as black and white, winners and losers. And you seem desperate not to be the loser. It does seem like there might be ego issues there, too.

/r/TheRedPill18/06/19 09:53 PM

I agree with you there. Plenty of problems and replication issues: we're dealing with fickle people, not numbers and generalizations are difficult with people. But I also think we shouldn't throw out the baby with the bathwater
/r/TheRedPill18/06/19 09:01 PM

Man, evolutionary psychology is a branch of psychology. Psychology is, in general but not always, more scientific than evolutionary psychology because you can run research on human behavior. But you can't run equally sound research on millions of our ancestors who are now dead (most evo psychology theory you read on manosphere blogs and books are personal conjectures which might or might not be true). That being said, I'm not criticizing evolutionary psychology, I'm actually quite big into it.

100%! On the plus side, it's a GREAT environment to learn about people and psychology, increase your social intelligence and hone your people's skills. But if politics are not your thing, then that stuff will make you miserable (and petty). And, as you say, you're better off out of it.

From a power dynamic point of view, if you are powerful men defer to you MORE than women do (as long as they recognize your authority, that is).
/r/TheRedPill31/05/19 03:34 PM

You are right, there is a strong tendency for couples to kinda of "match up", including in level of success, intelligence and education. But while men are OK with "slightly less", women strongly prefer "slightly more" (and "quite more" wouldn't hurt either). Also, there are different traits that gets exchange. Thus a man can exchange lots of success and resources for beatuy, and he might also forego her intelligence for her beauty. And, of course, that's not to say that ALL men would do that, ev…

The article was including studies from other countries And then if the study doesn't turn out what you like you will say that it's not about your own region, your own county or not like you/your GF are? People are people, and they're more similar than they're different. it just claims successful men will settle down with less intelligent women Not really, more like your own (mistaken) conclusion
/r/TheRedPill28/05/19 12:07 PM

That's an example of a mindset I have never bought into: that "serious" and "scientific" cannot mix with humor, a story or even an anecdotal evidence for clarity. One does not exclude the other

Oh, and P.S.: no offense to you, but your genius of a friend should have taken a hard look at his woman before he impregnated her. The way he's behaved, it might just have been a handy excuse for his POS behavior. Basically not only he left the woman on her own, he even badmouths her around town. Great stuff.

"unequivocally", "100%", "most african men", "all of my friends"... Those keywords don't help the credibility of your message (without even considering the "narrow" at the beginning which suggests a stance looking for criticism instead of truth or fair exchange of opinion). Many successful men want successful women -or hot women, depending on the type of man-. Just not more successful than they are, that was the point (exceptions apply, as in almost everything human related). Cheers.
/r/TheRedPill27/05/19 10:13 PM

Or also very possible, blame it on "insecure men". Same insecure men who are very happy with more feminine women, but God forbid one looks in the mirror...

I get your point that it's not a huge investment, but I don't agree with the argument. If you get two guys who are exactly the same, the guy with 10% more IQ beats the other one 99 out of 100. Anything above "all else being equal" makes the difference. I'm not bashing the gym, just not sure it presents the biggest ROI, especially if someone is working a lot in other areas of his life
/r/TheRedPill05/05/19 09:56 PM
6

Usually, escalate and if she's not ready yet then go back to talking and then escalate again until I feel she's ready for the final push. Checking the phone or pretending she's not there is a huge state shift and is at high risk of getting you into a combative mindset of "who's less interested in the other", and once you get into that race, everyone loses.
/r/TheRedPill03/05/19 10:31 PM
2

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. In my opinion, I'm just not convinced that the long long hours in the gym are an EFFECTIVE investment of time (notice I'm not saying "wasted", of course it's not wasted)
/r/TheRedPill03/05/19 07:37 AM

I'm curious to ask: you talk a lot about "looking good" connected to you lifting. Do you really think the two are so heavily interlinked?
/r/TheRedPill02/05/19 09:58 PM
12

I don't personally use it, unless you can do it really well it reeks of fake (and maybe OP did it very well). Sure it will work sometimes. But even dropping a huge fart would work sometimes. It's still much better than, say, getting angry or not escalating at all. But you can probably do better.

/r/TheRedPill29/04/19 07:34 AM

Yeah, he's very Zionist in that sense which I also don't like. That hat he always wear sure doesn't help him to make him more relatable to most non-Zionist people. But I like short successful guys: show everyone that you can work around any limitations.

Maybe, but he's good at debates.
/r/TheRedPill28/04/19 08:34 PM

That's also a good point. Higher IQ in a debate is a bit like a bigger frame in a fight. Doesn't assure you the win, but gives a distinct advantage.
/r/TheRedPill28/04/19 06:13 PM

Absolutely, he carefully picks his data and stats. Stats are quite pliable to manipulation and he makes the most out of that.
/r/TheRedPill28/04/19 02:45 PM

True, he is much weaker when it comes to religion. The stats did help him sound more authoritative in quite a few situations though.
/r/TheRedPill28/04/19 02:35 PM

Well, that's true, many of his best "victories" came from poor debaters. But then again, might it also be the case that some of them looked poor because Shapiro was so good? Think of Cathy Newman: she is highly experienced and cornered many people on her show. Then she debated Peterson and looked like a kindergarten brat.

Ben Shapiro is the most intellectually dominant political debater I have seen so far. He certainly has the basics down pat, things such as: Preparation (possibly the most important element for effective debating) Mastery of English language (a must to be a top debater) Data, statistics, relevant researches (sounds scientific and more authoritative) Conviction in what he says (the basis of his charisma) Embodying and living his value (gives him credibility) He does engage in a lot of ethically bo…

Delaying sex inherently stacks the deck towards the woman for a host of reasons, including biological reasons (and sex is, on average, more important for men). So the longer she waits, the more "power" she acquires. Some men are blind to these dynamics, but the more socially intelligent ones see through them. That's why delaying works best with less socially savvy men and is at higher risk of backfiring with more (socially) intelligent men (who also happen to have more options, on average, and c…

I understand some people don't like the analysis, but this isn't news man, this is videos of what's actually happened. And it's not to criticize Mr. Musk either, it's simply... An analysis. And to me, it's inspiring the guy is socially challenged. If he can do what he did in spite of his shortcoming... We can all do great things.

This post through a devil's advocate lens: "women I exchange contact with will flake, so I'm basically wasting time". If you tell yourself "women flake, that's what they do..", then that's what they will do. And going by this post that also means that day game is also immensely ineffective: go out there a whole day, approach all the time... And maybe you'll land a date a month.

Then he wouldn't show signs of nervousness, which he does. The video is not an attack on Musk, so we don't need to come up with crazy explanations to defend him. He's human, and he's got his strengths and weaknesses just like everyone else.
/r/TheRedPill09/04/19 08:15 AM
3

Well, I wouldn't use the word "beta/alpha" depending on what's the age or profession of the spouse. Especially if you get treated the way we saw in those videos. As far as we know Jobs and Gates might be much happier with their wifes, too and "colleague" doesn't equate to "low quality" (or ugly).
/r/TheRedPill09/04/19 08:14 AM

That's a bit convoluted to think that he masterminded this whole thing to spend as little as possible and making as many children as possible. But it doesn't make sense that he go "emotional support" when you see her treat him like that. I call that emotional abuse, not support.
/r/TheRedPill09/04/19 08:11 AM
3

That's what Peter Thiel (Tiel? not going to open a new tab to check :) said in Zero to One, that Musk is a master salesman. Somehow I could never believe that claim. Sales is a people's business and Elon Musk doesn't get people. Same here, relationship and relationship management is a people's business. It intersects and somewhat overlaps with the ability to make money and build successful companies but obviously.. Not 100% the same and plenty of exceptions.
/r/TheRedPill08/04/19 10:36 PM

Not if he keeps letting her trample all over him, no. Also somewhat depends on personality. A milder woman might have kissed the ground he walks on, but this one went out of his way to publicly emasculate him.
/r/TheRedPill08/04/19 10:34 PM
4

Hmm that's an interesting interpretation there. Seems somewhat too convoluted that she tears apart her husband to advertise her availability, but I'll mull it over more. P.S.: in some women that behavior can also be the sign of a masochistic streak, I've seen it before

BTW, I was thinking about some good books to recommend you on emotional manipulation... And there are quite a few. But I can't remember any focused on female manipulation (you know how it is, these days the male abuser sells much better than the female manipulator).
/r/TheRedPill08/04/19 05:56 PM
31

Totally. Unluckily, it's not even a question of pure chance. Men like Musk ATTRACT manipulative women who see in them easy targets (big bucks and easily fall for all their games). So it's actually more likely they end up with manipulative women than good and supportive ones.

/r/TheRedPill22/01/19 01:39 AM

Boom, this! True to an extent as warlordchat says, albeit I disagree on the nature of the difference. The difference is that women tend to be more "ruthless" in switching and going after what serves them best. This is probably because they function on a tighter timeline and have a stronger need for security and safety.

Great post, love these stories. And your TLDR gave a good laugh :). Bringing someone up after they've been down carries these risks sometimes. They get back on top and not only their options increase, but they also want to forget and leave behind their "bad" years -and you become the one who reminds them of those years-. Keep in mind that "rules" and theories are full of exceptions. Reality is too complex for simple schemes. Now, does this mean that every time you answer someone's question, you are breaking frame? Yes, technically, when going by this model, it does; This is what I disagree with. It puts people in a "me VS you" mindset. And yes, sometimes that's just what you need, but many other times you are better off with a collaborative approach. Hypergamy has long been overblown. It's ever-present, absolutely, but not nearly to the degree bandied in TRP. All women, given the choice of comparable quality and resources, would much rather have their own man if they can choose. And in most western societies, they can choose. "better the 10th wife of a king than the wife of a peasant" is true, but it's true in destitute societies. It loses much of its value in a world where a Golf does the exact same things as a BMW and almost all men can af…

Yes you can see quite a bit of that. A lot of it has to with posturing for social status and ego-massaging. Not everyone of course, and it's also understandable: we all have an innate drive to increase our status and defend our egos. But we can outgrow, and it's our duty to move past past posturing and social climbing.

I have to disagree with this one. There are plenty of happy marriages. But even if there were only one single happy marriage in the world, that would be proof enough that it's possible. Saying it's not real is a cop-out. It's a cop-out on becoming more experienced at reading people, at recognizing high value women from low value ones, at discerning gold diggers from real affection. And even, in practical terms, at learning divorce law if worse comes to worst. Granted, you can never be 100% sure,…

Good post. I had first hand personal experience with a BPD and now it's a bunch of crazy stories to share... Back then it was just a nightmare :). Watch out with the "frantic effort to avoid abandonment" though. That's also typical of the anxious attachment style, don't confuse the two here is how anxious looks like

"was never in danger unless you call a learning experience dangerous". "she can benefit from a brisk walk" I'm a fan now :D.

"I usually am a lurker on this sub, since I usually have no stories or articles of interest to post, but I have one now." He earned my respect before even starting to read the post :).

It's basically the "win-win" approach of Comey, the "helping people save face" of Carnegie and the listening to others negotiation approach in "Never Split the Difference" so as to make others feels heard and understood. Even if you end up going with your idea and solution, by being inclusive you get real buy in. The principle is that people don't like being vanquished. And if you "win" frame battles you often also make an enemy who wants to get back at you. Take this example: https://youtu.be/b…

I'm not a big fan of the frame as it's often espoused in the Red Pill. It can make people go into social situations with a mindset of "frame battles" instead of a more collaborative approach. And don't get me wrong: frame battles is just what you need sometimes. But at other times it makes you come across as a confrontational and socially clueless. All the rest, thumbs up. Cheers to you and to your new enlightenment.

Agree, way too much vitriol against corporate and bis business employment. Even more so outside the US actually. In Europe it's even better with lots of protection and lots of holidays.

You make good points. As for anything, there are "good ways" of doing something and "not so good ways". The "healthy way" of going monk mode is that you do NOT stop learning and growing, but grow and learn even more by focusing on something that will ADD to your value. You go monk mode to work on your side project, to improve your coding skills or to work on your mind. If you do it well, you come out of monk mode with more skills for life, more earning power or more mental control. If you go int…

Sounds good. I think it's also OK to tell her, in a subdued fashion: "wow, cool" when she says "nude model". Simply because it's not something you meed every day and it is interesting. Pretending it's nothing might seem like you're trying too hard to make it seem "normal".

My only grip with it is that it focuses it too much on subconscious "reprogramming" and it draws heavily from Tony Robbins and the book The Art of Seduction (not to say that either of them aren't good!). Otherwise what he says makes a lot of sense and I like that he focuses on the basics a lot. He also says that "being friends first" is a myth and not a sex killer, which I also agree with (as long as you're a not a platonic friend, important caveat). Here's a good review: https://thepowermoves.c…

Thumbs up, I totally agree with that Luis. I'm just a bit more middle of the road in the sense that I also see value in squeezing juice out those old oranges, albeit fully knowing that fresher ones give you much higher chances (let's not forget many great chemistry women can end up in those old oranges: as you know well it's not just a matter of like/not like when a number goes stale). Consider that I said downtime what I had in mind was waiting for the bus out of training, too tired sometimes t…

Number 3 worked great for me many times man, and I see it as the opposite of desperation. It's very brave in my book to say "I chased you a little bit.. But now I gotta stop. Your turn or all the best". It's genuine and honest. 4 is for when I'm traveling and I know I'll go back and want to increase my chances with some girls I particularly liked. I can't AB test of course but I feel it was a great contributor to a few lays. But hey, no dissing, if none are your cup of tea, fair enough.

Well.. Kudos to that raikmond, I actually respect your message and your point of view a lot. Ultimately, based on beliefs but also importantly on many previous experiences, my point of view is that if I make things happen with a girl, it will be great for her and I will likely give more than I take. If to make that happen I must follow a few steps that I found to be working... I'm cool with that. But again, I respect your point of view of simply moving much sooner.

It worked for me on several occasions and I shared. I don't pretend it's biblical knowledge or even good for everyone, so definitely feel free to discard.

Pursuing without begging is an important skill gcool7. Of course, the more you go for the things you want, the more it's possible sometimes you overstep the line and become a bit too chase-y. But that's also how you learn. And some others times you'll turn things around and get laid. At the end of the day are you trying to get laid or are you trying to prove you're "manly"? I know which one I'm angling for..

Fair enough, I can see you already have a solid mindset. The call, switching medium and "out-out" text I always do, that's my standard procedure. The "I'm gone" I only use when I actually left a city, and albeit I can't AB test I always felt it increased my chances to meet them again later on. The "offering something of value" is way too much effort indeed and rarely do it, but could be useful for someone who's particularly hell bent into a particular girl. Like you said, if you go through all t…

I use the third one only when I actually left a city, and I always felt it increased my chances to meet them again later on. I wouldn't use it for women living in the same city. All the others did produce results for me -albeit I almost never do the "offer something" as I'm never too into anyone to invest that much-.

Of course, that's always a very valid option. But it's also the "ego saving option". Are you not pursuing further because it's the best option -no time, better options etc.- or to save your ego? If the former, great. If the latter not so great, because some of those non-replyers can be turned around.

If A got feelings for you and you got feeling for her, that's your answer right there and then, you gotta go for her. That's also your best from their dynamics perspective. Because asking B out is more likely to lead A to veto the decision. If they're really so close B would probably choose her friend rather than you. I don't agree with trugg that the two girls will not care. They do care. I even had some girls get very snippy at me once I made my move on their GF and not on them. So there you h…

It could be a few things. She might feel like she was "too aggressive" and now feels bad about it. It could be indeed the moment was a bit awkward and she'd rather forget it -annoying having one minute at the end ruin a whole day, I know-. It's all good though, you had a good experience and you're only going upwards from there. In this scenario, go for the second date, but expect it might not work. Best of luck!!
