The best teachers are retirees who excelled in their careers in industry, who still retain people person skills. Old curmudgeons don't make for good teachers, even if they are a veritable encyclopaedia of knowledge and skill.

Back in the 1960s, women going to college often were referred as going to get their "Mrs." degree. There is nothing new under the sun. What is, shall be again.

I forgot to emphasize the last line, from John 8:11. Sin no more. That is the crux of it. There is no salvation, no forgiveness, if you continue to sin. Nor if you have sinned so much that your very soul is consumed and blackened by it. You do not attain salvation by sinning your entire life, and then try to repent on your deathbed. Sincerity is required. A lifetime of sin weighs heavy upon the soul.

When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee? She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. John 8:10-11

Sodom and Gommorah had nothing on the sickness that is current society. But it comes close. 4Now before they lay down, the men of the city, the men of Sodom, both old and young, all the people from every quarter, surrounded the house. 5And they called to Lot and said to him, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Sounds like an argument of semantics to me. NCOs control small elements. Fire teams, squads, blah blah. Though in combat with casualties, it was not uncommon for NCOs to take command of larger units due to battlefield requirements. WWI and WWII saw a lot of that.

I thought an E-6 Staff Sergeant commanded more troops, so I looked it up. Buried in the TO&E for a Light Infantry Company, an E-6 is a Section Leader. Commands.....10 troops! https://fas.org/man/dod-101/army/unit/toe/07017L000.htm Though I would hazard a guess that this particular SGT is NOT in command of combat troops, and is likely in some REMF position. Takes 10 troops to support and provision every 1 combat troop, and all that.

Wanderlust has a negative connotation to it. A man who is a drifter or wanderer has always been seen as a threat. Many of them were highwaymen or roamed the old west in outlaw gangs. Hm? There are basic labor laws at the Federal level. Individual States have their own laws on top of that. Keep in mind the vast majority of the workforce is not unionized. Most factory and production operator jobs have gone away. Low wage unskilled labor jobs abound in the service and commercial retail sectors. Efforts to unionize these jobs is often stymied by coroprations shutting down entire stores. See: Walmart.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/01/21 04:54 PM

Quite the opposite. There are a number of laws going back a hundred years protecting organized private labor. Membership numbers have dwindled since the 1970s though, as skilled labor jobs have declined for a variety of reasons.

/r/PussyPassDenied04/01/21 08:54 PM

Same in America. Unionized labor is rather nonchalant about discussing pay rates, as everyone is paid at the same scale. Tough shit, finish your schooling and pass the testing.

Well shit, you definitely know about it then! It isn't taught about at any level in US education that I know of. You only learn about it if you are in the industry, via safety meetings and such. Analyzing past disasters is a common way to highlight the dangers involved if a mistake is made. Safety reps use such things to try and keep workers from becoming complacent. And yes, the power of money is a brutal thing.

TBH, after making home made tacos, Taco Bell is straight trash. Good if you're in a hurry and want something quick (it is fast food after all...), but it is better to make your own. Best part is tacos, quesadillas, chimichangas, burritos, etc, are all pretty easy to make! Last tacos I made were seasoned shrimp tacos. So tasty.

Two car garage is nice, but I'm a car guy, so I love lots of garage space. The rest is fluff. Buy something in your price range, not theirs. Sounds like you'd be happy at the $100K range or so. See what is available in your area. If you have handyman skills, look into forclosures. If you have a lot of cash, consider lowball cash offers on houses that cannot be financed. Caah is king. You can get a house for $60K cash that would be double if it could be financed traditionally.
/r/MGTOW27/04/20 07:55 PM

Buy something small and manageable. My parents were the same way when I was shopping for a house. They were trying to show me $200K+ houses, 2,000+ sq ft, etc. Have backbone and stay firm on what YOU want. Want a small house? A little rancher is nice. Want land? It is out there! Want a condo? Go for it! Though if you don't need much space, consider a duplex. You can rent one half out and live in the other. Renters pay your mortgage.

Massed volley fire with hundreds of soldiers against the target was the predominant application with muskets. This is evidenced by warfare in the 18th and early 19th centuries.

Wat. The British STEN is a 9mm submachinegun. It most certainly has a rifled barrel and is in no way a shotgun. Furthermore, there are shotguns available with rifled barrels. For use with slugs.

A friend of mine is a handyman contractor as well. He told me about this tile job he had. The woman customer insisted on having no gaps between the tile, as she didn't like the look of grout. He did as she asked, against his better judgement. He had to go back later and re do all of it with grout, as moisture got behind the tile and caused the mortar to fail (bathroom application). Never again, he told me.

The one I know decently well sends you to their own school, and you are an apprentice from years 1-4, and achieve Journeyman status after working x number of hours overall along with passing classes. Depends on if its a plug or patch repair. A simple tire plug can be done quickly, usually without even removing the wheel from the car. That is a $10-20 repair. A tire patch is applied to the inside of the tire. This necessitates dismounting and remounting the tire, then rebalancing the wheel. That is usually 1/2 hr labor or so for most shops, plus the cost of the patch (negligible). So it ends up being a $40-60 repair.

On NPT fittings, always apply good quality PTFE ("Teflon") tape or liquid pipe dope. Common practice for HVAC technicians is to tape the male end, and apply liquid dope to female threads. Use the correct tape or dope for the process. "Gasolia" brand liquid dope is excellent for hydrocarbon service (natural gas, etc).

That is a very simplistic visual from the 1950's of how your typical open rear differential works. Only rear wheel drive vehicles have this anymore. Examples being Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro, Dodge Challenger. Also all pickup trucks. A friction clutch limited slip axle works in a similar manner, but allowing full power to both wheels in a straight line. Ford Traction-Lok, Chevrolet Posi-Traction, Chrysler Sure-Grip being examples of factory limited slip differentials.

It would be rated at the correct hertz, which is 60 for USA. Europe uses 50 hertz IIRC. Voltages and amperage use varies on electrical components. Most small stuff is single phase, so either 110/120V or 220/230V. Three phase is in industrial stuff, and voltages vary widely. 208/220/440/460/480V or more all the way up to 2300V and more on massive industrial electric motors. Think power plants, paper mills, oil refineries, et cetera.

That's incorrect. The photographer was there when they raised the second flag. The first was small, so the Marines and one Navy Corpsman raised the second, larger flag so it could be better seen from atop Mount Suribachi. It was not staged, nor did the photographer intend to decieve anyone.

That would never happen. Japanese society is very xenophobic and prideful. They have always considered themselves superior to all other Asian cultures/races. Japan would become a major military power once again before they let themselves be swallowed up by the Middle Kingdom.

Infrastructure would break down in a matter of hours and days. There is some automation and computer control in place, but a lot of America's industry is manually controlled. Power plants, oil refineries, all commerce, water treatment plants, etc.

If a woman is widowed, then her honor is intact. She is a widow, and her children are orphans. The children are NOT bastards, but are orphans from the loss of their father. Industrial/Work related deaths are well over 90% male. Men built this world, and men maintain it. Men die for it. It is not outside the realm of possibility that a good honorable woman with children born WITHIN wedlock would lose her husband. It would take a man of great heart to come in and raise those children as his own af…

Ha! You're a smug bastard, aren't you? Can't take a joke? What you describe as a "motorized bicycle" doesn't really exist over here. Motorcycles, mopeds, Vespa-type vehicles, et cetera, do exist. Motorcycles are the most common. Quite a few people commute that distance for work. There's many reasons why suburbs popped up after WWII, and ease of travel was one of them. President Eisenhower's Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1956 only spurred such expansion of people to the neighboring areas of cities. …
/r/MGTOW14/03/17 01:57 AM

That'd be a motorcycle. Bill Harley and Art Davidson started making those around 1903. They're very popular here in America. I'm sure you're actually referring to mopeds, which have their uses in crowed inner cities. They aren't very popular over here, though. Nor are they useful when you commute 20-100 miles to work, as many Americans do. Different land mass, different needs.

If it runs 12.00-13.99 seconds in a 1/4 mile drag race at a drag track. It refers to the elapsed time (ET). How fast a car is in drag racing is determined by how quickly it can go 1/4 of a mile from a dead stop.
/r/MGTOW10/03/17 12:21 AM

Having a fast car doesn't mean it has to be expensive. You can get an old 1980's Camaro, Mustang, et cetera and hotrod it into a 12-13 second car for not that much money. Less than $10,000 all said and done. Going fast is fun. Having a cool car is fun.

One good bit of advice I have learned over the years is this: When you are interested in a woman, meet her parents. Pay close attention. How is her family? How does her mother act? Her father? You can see the future of a woman by looking at her mother. If the mother is faithful to her husband, you are likely in good stead. Talk to her father. Ask hard questions. If the woman comes from a broken/divorced home? Red flag. Women who are the product of a traditional nuclear family tend to be much mor…

Of course! Remove the State from the equation entirely. Marriage is a sacred bond between a man and woman, sanctified by the Lord. Laws of man have nothing to do with it. Go back 100 years. Repeal all the laws regarding marriage, child support, custody, et cetera. Shut down family courts entirely. Repealing women's suffrage would prevent such laws from being enacted again.

An interesting thing about scars in general is that usually it enhances men's looks unless it is truly severe and gruesome. Adds instant manliness and usually has a good/funny story behind it, especially if it's a "hold my beer" variant. Men can easily be self depreciating and gallows humor abounds. E.g., a story could easily start along the line of "So listen to this stupid shit I did yesterday....". Men revel in the humor of Schadenfreude on occasion.

Ideally you use it to invest in your offspring. You raise your sons and daughters with a good mindset and Protestant work ethic so they succeed in life. Nothing is given to you in this life; you must work hard for success. This is unfortunately not easily attainable now like it was 100+ years ago. Our grandfathers worked hard as did our fathers. The destruction of the traditional nuclear family has made this all but unobtainable.

Wikipedia never had any credibility to begin with. The entire nature of that website precludes such a thing by default. Anyone can contribute, with no credentials. There is no peer-reviewing prior to adding or modifying content. Scholarly journals or books, wiki is certainly not. It is good for light reading or to gain general information about a subject. You can buy a new car, but anything more than basemodels of common brands are gonna hurt your wallet. Your example of Volkswagen is a poor one, as they are considered somewhat upscale. Car prices have indeed gone up a fair bit though. Last truck I bought new cost me around $18,000....in 2005. You honestly are best off buying used, 2-3 years old.
