That doesn’t mean I’m butt hurt in response to some post by an arrogant stranger. I literally have no emotional reaction to you dude- you just believe I do and presuppose it as an underlying motivator at every word or gesture I post “he’s arguing with me calling him butthurt, see!!!” It’s like, no, your behavior is reprehensible and I’d be saying the same thing to you if you were talking this way to someone else. Being completely honest I think it’s hilarious, the post history lookup, the doubli…

Deflecting? Butt hurt? Really? You are so immature and antagonizing, and you’re considered a leader here. Don’t conflate my objection to such childish behavior with an “emotional reaction.” You implied I lack critical thinking skills and an apparent obedience to God, and shared nothing but negativity in response to a very positive post. Your post screams of a superiority complex.

What you told us about this woman is not agape love (1 Corinthians 13). I didn’t come here to write a sonnet for you so you can judge the depth of my love. I came to provide some context and ask questions. And yet you ignored the posting rules by n't post mission and stats... Did you just attempt to justify casting stones at me by pointing out that I didn’t post my stats?

Just because you haven't found much initially doesn't mean there aren't issues underneath the surface. Infatuation/new relationship happiness masks a lot. Oh absolutely, but after three months I've seen at most one slightly red flag, and I can usually pick up 5 or 10 within a few hours of knowing a girl. I'm just offering that perspective for what it's worth. Deep_Strength I have the utmost appreciation for you brother but I have some respectful disagreements. "I've worked hard on myself for a c…

This was a post I very much needed to read. I am emotionally unstable. Not nearly as much as I used to be, but there's still a weakness there. Going to work on that.

Great post, thanks. Her character is the most attractive thing about her. Good to know your wife was like that, too. My girl is also from a super (super) conservative family. What do you think of /u/UpTanks post? I feel like he's getting at something critically important regarding what I'm kinda sub communicating with verbally affectionate behaviors.

I basically am overjoyed that I found my first good woman. I have gone on over a hundred dates in the past couple years and this is the first I would seriously consider as a candidate for a wife and future mother. I'm 26 years old.

In my opinion she says she wants to take it slow because she (quite wisely) wants to take it slow and getting to learn who he is as a man by how he reacts is just a nice bonus

No, he does not lift. He is quite overweight - not disabled, but affected physically. He needs to get in the gym. He has no discipline, no sense of urgency, no frame, no self-sufficiency, no testosterone... We've had breaks. Months long breaks. He just kinda waits for me to change my mind I guess? I'm mixed on this. I think it might making things worse -for me- to continue in this condition but there's a lot of advice, particularly aimed at Christian women, to just "do it anyway" basically Hmm. …

However, our relationship is seriously devoid of passion, physical affection, sexual chemistry, and attraction. Does he lift? Is he in touch with his primal self? Unfortunately this has gone on a very long time and we're in a vicious cycle where I don't enjoy it, he knows I don't enjoy it, and everyone is feeling pretty hopeless. In my opinion it's mostly on him to generate attraction by being the type of man that has passion for you and who excites you emotionally. Maybe a break is needed, mayb…

Why aren't you taking care of your duties though? She picked you because she trusted that you were someone that can do what she considers basic stuff. You mentioned that you didn't agree to do them. Why didn't you lovingly tell her when she asks right then and there? Probably because you fear the argument. The second you get defensive is the second you start caring wayyyy tooo much about whether she's got her facts straight and is judging you fairly, it's the same second you lose confidence in y…

Your wife has no sexual energy with you and she likes to see hot, jacked scantily clad men perform live. Firstly, that behavior is a predictor of love affairs,, but more importantly, you didn’t post your stats. Am I expected to assume this is most of the problem? Your wife having a preference for fit, strong men, which you aren’t? In all likelihood, you emotionally bore her entirely, and without drastic change, it’s going to stay that way. I think it does but to a slightly lesser degree, because it seems to me that men are fighting a different battle. Girls have a lot more selection by default. Take Peterson's breakdown of the matter regarding men for example. Women, of course, will still benefit by learning more about what they connect and vibe with, what personality traits they admire, having more options and connections, and in preparing them for the serious dating experience.

This was my tendency as well before I started doing a lot of dating. I would get OneItis for every girl almost immediately and contemplate our future together like a maniac. Now it's the opposite. I used to be dying to make her my girlfriend as soon as possible and would wonder if she would be down with that. Now it's like, I know I could have that if I wanted. I realize that this is how naturals think by default but not me. I did the girl's job of longing for a serious relationship, and I would…

The Manipulated Man talks about this in depth
/r/RPChristians24/02/19 01:01 AM

That's quite a write up man. Imo, fem-centrism stems from something akin to a hostage situation. The women are trained to manipulate men and hold their beauty at bay from them- a dangling carrot, basically. Society isn't necessarily hiding the truth, it's just so deeply brainwashed by and embedded in this particular dynamic that it's going to take a lot of strong leaders to re-align perspectives of the masses.

Stop fighting. Amused Mastery. Another thing that gives me a weird feeling is that everytime I come back from work and shes waiting at home for me, we make out a bit, but then shes a little distant from me. Kind of in a “hes not being that affectionate so neither will I” kind of way. they may fuck someone. You can't include for this possibility. It rejects the initial proposition. Skirting around the idea that attraction can develop or wither over time for some group of women in order to religiously uphold hasty generalizations will get nobody anywhere.

Why did you call me a bitch? Chill out dude. Here's a simple proof that it's not true.. The claim is that women decide within 5 seconds whether they want to have sex with a man. The contraposition of this proposition: 'There does not exist a woman who doesn't decide within 5 seconds whether or not she'll fuck a man.' I asked a friend of mine. Ursulina is a woman. I just have a problem with misinformation or inaccurate maxims. Like you make a good and useful point with all that you just said. It's often true and it's an important consideration. It suggests an important strategy: see how she's polarized and proceed. But remember that putting it in a concrete hyperbolic way might actually have adverse effects. Well, on some level, God didn't put you here to relax. Clearly, you are biologically and psychologically focused on being industrious. That is a fundamental part of you in which God has purpose. To be honest brother I'm very well liked and have little experience catching flack for what I say or do. I said all that to give you my principled perspective. You seriously need to improve your writing or proof-reading ability. That was rough. Your mission is your mission. Not theirs. Their approval, agreement, and reaction to your mission won't affect you in the slightest. You're just scared because you think you're weak- and so you aren't sure that you can handle the reaction. I can't name one exclusively beta trait that is necessary or more desirable than the alpha version. We'd have to presuppose that alpha meant 'harsh, unloving, cold, and lacking humility' for us to consider it wrong. But that's a definitional issue. I don't consider there to be strict definitions for what is precisely alpha, it's ambiguous like every other word at the end of the day. That is to say, insofar as alpha means 'strong,' I believe 100% alpha is the goal. For every alpha trait, there's …

Yeah, it's strange. But it tells you she's not needy and is independent. Don't fear. Just be on your mission. She knows what she's doing. She wants you to chase her but it will kill the attraction if you do. She's just a girl bro. Your frame is a little off. Your neediness is causing you to have a skewed perspective. Sounds like you need to really improve your fitness. If you're overweight and a 7-8, you're going to be a 9 minimum when you are built right. Your options are going to increase tenfold. Then you can show up anywhere and attract high-value women. Churches, groups, dating apps, coffee shops, anywhere. As a 7-8, you're fighting an uphill battle (and you know it, which also doesn't help because your frame will reflect your worldview).

She likes you. Try to involve more vulnerable subject matter in your next date's talks so you can form an emotional connection with her. Tell her how x, y, and z make you feel and show an understanding of how her x, y, and z probably make her feel. Going from chatting to deeply bonding is going to help solidify you as boyfriend material to her. Also, maybe kiss her if that fits within your scope of what Christian dating looks like.

Lol We can't tell you her level of interest exactly. She's obviously not disinterested or repulsed by you. Assume attraction. You're the prize. Keep that in your frame. Unless you live in a society where Christians are rare, I believe you can approach and meet random women just as you would were you a secular guy. You just filter out the ones who don't align with your worldview. You ought to be able to meet women anywhere. Coffee shop, class, gym, work, grocery store, sidewalk, it doesn't matter. I would only ever consider it "practice" if it was someone's first few approaches, because they need to get a feel for it. Beyond that, it's just "execution." You're i…

What a testimony man. Really cool to read all that. I would love to see a separate post where you go into more detail about what happened after reading TRP. Specifically, when you started all your behavioral changes, and how she initially reacted and what that looked like over time. Was there a power struggle? Did she resist having a man for a husband? Were there any breakthrough moments? Also, congratulations. Welcome to RPC!

I still have you on the bench Bruh I'm 185 with long arms xD Thank you for the pick-me-up regarding lust. It's also an indication of how quickly she'll drop her boundaries. Be cautious there. It's not a red flag, but it is a yellow flag to keep an eye on. Boundaries? She hasn't been "anti-dating," she has just had high standards (I believe). Kick that attitude. That's going to put undue pressures on you that could affect your behaviors. If you mess it up, oh well. She's not a unicorn. Life won't…

Nothing of what Jordan Peterson is saying is anti establishment. The number of times I've heard him describe inevitable tyranny of unchecked establishment.. And you want to tell me otherwise. That's why it's establishment because it doesn't change anything. It's just not purely anti-establishment like you want it to be. Bro, why are you even pondering how this is challenging? You made a commitment to your wife to share one body with her and her alone. Attractive women at church giving you ioi’s at church are compliments and affirmations of how lucky she is to be with you, not tempting invitations. Don’t be fooled. Don’t ponder what could be with these other women. Unless they’re being sexually aggressive or something, you’re putting a stumbling block before yourself by paying any mind to the fact that other wom…

Remember that OP is using an imperative form of language, so as to appeal with instruction to a particular set of people who heed it for their benefit. He does not claim it to be some universal message that everyone needs to hear- in fact, he specifically describes a set of behaviors that function as prerequisites to this post being applicable to someone (stagnant, procrastinating, failure-fearing under-achievers with poor habits) There are a great deal of people, myself included, who aspire for…

Use ourselves and rely on God's instruction to become an instrument to translate that God-given well-being to our spouses. Sometimes in li…

“Think of others as even greater than yourself.” This right here is a key issue. This is what Christ reveals to us but it is quite directly opposed to the exact truth that RP reveals is what gives us advantage with regard to hypergamy: be greater than all the competition by providing more value to her presently and more importantly, be greater than her in order to control the frame, power, be desired, etc. Of course, Christ’s word prevails. But this viewing of self as greater is a central aspect…

You’re being a beta bro. “I’m lazy” Not only is this self-fulfilling prophecy, it’s defeatist baby bologna. Grow a pair and make a change. RP has taught you how important it is to own yourself and be in charge. Take charge. Go hit the gym every day this month. Laugh at the defeatist attitude you’ve cultivated- it was built off of a beta lie that you’re not a boss.

What an awesome analysis. I found so much of it relatable to my past behavioral habits. Robot mode is so natural a mechanism when dealing with a woman, but it’s not nearly as rewarding for either side. I think your assessment of all that is right with positive alpha responses is spot on. Here are my typical types of responses to this hypothetical: “Warm up the car for you? Agree on every point. I've heard the phrase "Humility is not thinking less of yourself; humility is thinking of yourself less" by C.S. Lewis and I strongly adhere to that principle. RP encourages us to put a lot of attention towards ourselves and our self-improvement- and I see nothing wrong with that. Honestly man, you're a boss in my eyes. You had bad luck, but you clearly had the mental fortitude to tolerate, forgive, and try to maintain and work through the issues for the sake of your daughter's well-being. Your woman was an utterly atrocious wife, and one day she will deeply, deeply regret her behaviors. Lean on God during these times, moreso than ever. Didn’t realize you were a girl for 80% of my reading :P I definitely am solid at realizing how much of a woman’s beauty is just her makeup. My last girlfriend (she was a non-believer) would literally not leave the house without 2 hours of prep time, 1 hour of that solely on makeup and hair. I really love when a girl doesn’t need to cake on her face. I don't know if he's framing it, or if you're assuming he's implying all the negative connotations that come with "living with your mom." The truth is, he stated a plain fact: "You live with your mom" and another truth is, women are going to read in all those negative connotations you're assuming he implied. 1 and 2 I haven't experienced much of your first 2 points. Most Christian women I know don't base their attraction to me on my level of involvement in the church. If they did, I don't mind moving on to the next one. As you said, that's a silly way to gauge your attraction to a person. And while I'm sure there are women who do that, they're not the type of critical thinkers I am interested in anyway. I think the best way to defeat this shaming of traditional masculinity is with masuclinity. I think in this case, masculinity entails being above the nonsense and scoffing at the notion of masculinity being inherently toxic/wrong- unfazed, unconcerned. It sounds like he doesn't think he has SMV to me. If I had to guess, he probably rationalizes by saying "the picture perfect marriage isn't worth giving up," or "we can work through this and our kids will thank us for it one day," so he justifies the continued pursuit of reconciliation in his head, but subconsciously he's fighting back a much deeper fear and insecurity that he won't be able to do any better, live well independently, or find another woman he considers worthy of marriage.
