I just write whatever I'm thinking/feeling, don't get too hang up on writing a linear story of your day.

It's also slower writing on paper which makes your brain focus for more time on the thought you're writing, as opposed to typing in a multi-task operating system, which has all kinds of distractions.

Shit like this why I visit TRP at least once a day and read at least one post. This is what stood out to me: The common trait all these alpha men will hold, is the ability to harness a lack of empathy or care for others, and a great deal of care for themselves. People won't even think of you as an asshole if you do this, they'll probably just think of you as less needy, higher value. I have friends who act like this and people just excuse their behavior with phrases like "that's just his way, he…

Oh now, I understand looks matter, but I think the focus here is way too big on looks if clearly there's garbagemen pulling hot girls out there, there's a type of personality which is attractive independent of the way you look, but I guess that's what's called alpha here after all.

Nope, at parties I see fat guys with 8's and above, and at around college I see skinny broke dudes with 7 and aboves.

This is one thing that bothers me with this sub, they keep repeating how important status, your looks and to lift are, but I keep seeing ugly or broke fuckers with girls where I live.

it has been shown that if you get rid of your bad thoughts, they'll actually come back stronger. Where has exactly been shown that? When I had depression I used Cognitive Therapy with the book Feeling Good to get rid of negative beliefs and thoughts and it worked. I think you mean when you suppress negative thoughts they come back strong in which case I agree. Our culture insists that humans are naturally happy. But the statistics clearly disprove this I don't think they do, these statistics jus…

What I got from your answers is that there's nothing concrete that can be done.

I see. I asked that because I've built anxiety for over 5 years now because logically I know college is that best thing for me, but when I'm there I end up hating with every fiber of my being and thinking it's a waste of time and I could be using my time in a better way ( I'm in IT ). So I end up doing nothing. No college and no learning more useful things by my own. Just the though of going back to college make me feel sick in the stomach, but on the other hand I feel like wasting my life not b…

I can't tell for other people, but where I work people just bring another set of clothes in a backpack with a towel and deodorant and dry themselves and make do with that. One guy usually smells though.

I think it would be good to get a book or read more into the benefits, otherwise you'll just feel like listening to your thoughts is bullshit and will give up quickly

Did you tried that or do you just think it'd be neat?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
