If they're prosecuting with only vague recollection testimony on what happened 25 years ago, that's a joke and shouldn't hold up in court. But if there is new, concrete evidence against the man, then throw the fuckin book at him. The outrage should then be that he's been a free man for the past 25 years living like a king.

For those people saying "that poor kid". This is the best thing that could happen for her. The relationship is fucked at that point, and by staying you're only going to set shit examples for her during throughout her childhood. It's up to the mom to learn from her mistakes and be better. If your heart goes out to anyone it should be the poor father who's had to come to terms with the fact his partner cheated and he's going to lose what he's known as his daughter.

I mean, I agree we aren't doing enough to support boys in schools, but ffs it's preschool. I doubt they'd have an answer for girls either. "Ma'am, it's all play based learning at this age, the kids are going to be coloring, singing songs, and playing outside."

Devil's advocate, but couldn't you argue that hiring a slightly less qualified woman is better for the company? Hiring a woman gets your company better press. I would also guess that most successful discrimination lawsuits are slanted towards women. Sooo, on paper, lower risk of being sued, better press for the company. I'm not sure how much that's worth, but if it's worth anything, then there's a case.

I'm not disputing those numbers at all. Quick googling says 39% of men say they own a gun and 22% of women own a gun. It looks like we may have a contributing factor there, but it still doesn't explain a 85-15 pie chart.

I can see both sides of the argument, and ultimately feel like they should be providing something equivalent for males in the liberal arts field. They're a private company though, and this gets better PR oomf for the buck. They're also trying to increase their female customer base. We really shouldn't be surprised by that. Side note: Speaking as someone who went through a STEM field, we need more women. Total sausagefest in those classes.

I completely agree, OP is just speculating and mob victim mentality is getting in the way of rational skepticism. Could we have a legitimate gripe? Sure, if you find the reverse gender example still hosted by youtube. Until then, the first half of the video is disgusting enough to me to have removed no matter what the last half is.

Not sure I agree that women have nothing to lose from it. Lost youth for a woman is just a big of a deal, and there comes a social stigma with being divorced. That said, I agree it's a tougher road for a man, but I can't be as cynical about marriage as you. I think it's worth the risk as long as you're moved out of the "passionate love" first 2-years of a relationship. And remember, there's always a prenup
