Girls (people) do this for the same reason they put up profiles on dating sites while having no intention of meeting someone. They are feeling somehow insecure and want reassurance that they can still pull. I'll admit (with no pride whatsoever) to having done similar at one point during my marriage.

It boils down to this - if you can't overcome this tiny error (?) with humor, you probably don't really want to know her. That's my guess.

I'm thinking I'd go with texting another similar joke. Then, "If you'll go out with me, I'll promise not to make any more of those jokes".

I try to keep a firm grasp of the following. There is a finite number of potential matches for you, or of fish in your particular pond. Each person who flakes, or you don't mesh with, or whatever; each of these removes an obstacle in the way of you meeting the person who is right for you. If you can keep focused on this mindset, then each potential match you eliminate is a step forward.

I disagree with you, but I understand your point. I personally know girls who have no qualms about laughing (and spreading the news) about a flaccid penis, or a premature delivery. Additionally, I dated a man (in his 40s) at one point who had never received a blowjob. I know it's not an exact match for this situation. But, being the very first to go there was kind of hot. I doubt that I'm sufficiently unique to be the only woman who would feel that way.

You make some valid points. My assumption, however, was that an older woman would be far less likely to laugh in his face if he didn't perform well. Also, she'd presumably be less likely to sit around and dish with her girlfriends about whatever happened. It's simply a maturity thing, in my opinion.

That's cute. Thanks for the chuckle there.

See, I inferred from your post that you hadn't taken the various opportunities because of your anxiety level, and not because those women didn't suit you somehow. Therefore, I suggested you choose someone who's a bit older to avoid the likelihood of your fears coming true. I'm sure there's a young lady out there somewhere who won't terrify you. I hope you find her.

I'll throw in my two cents. You need to locate/pay an older woman for your first time. This shouldn't be at all difficult. Many women find the idea of breaking in a virgin to be very hot. Also, she can teach you what pleases her, which means there are no undesirable habits to deal with breaking. Once you've knocked out the first one, the anxiety should lessen or go away completely. Go get a cougar!

I just spent more time than I'll admit to searching for that clip from Road Trip. "I had sex. With a girl!"

Gonna have to agree with hardeplasser up there, even though he's been hit with the downvotes. I went through a phase of trying to do the club-thing, only to realize I'm just not a club person. I think the environment either appeals to you or it doesn't. There's no shame in admitting that it's not your thing and finding alternate ways and places to socialize. At least, it works for me.

I was with you even unto "neg". Otherwise, you offer solid advice.

I do understand what you've said. Inasmuch as you stated you see yourself as "introvert and nerd" (as do I), I then projected another trait onto you as well, that of being "socially awkward". For me, clubs are simply terrifying. I see the people there as largely prickly and unapproachable (in fact, it wouldn't surprise me if some did try to eat someone who dared to step up while being beneath their level), and I struggle with filtering out ambient crowd noise in order to hold a conversation of a…

1) Continue on with life usual. 2) Avoid her at all costs. Assuming you were straight with her from the beginning, then her behavior is crazy. You don't want crazy in your life. 3) Allow the shitstorm to pass. In general, the friends worth keeping will have smelled the crazy in the air, and will still be there.

Is it possible that you're setting the bar too high? Moving from 0 social interaction to attempting a pickup in a club is one hell of a leap. Also, many people don't function well in clubs, (Fine! I don't know how many people, but definitely me.) I suspect you might find more success if you chose a less chaotic and high-pressure venue. After all, a club is neither the easiest nor the best spot for meeting people. tl;dr - Step outside your comfort zone, don't jump in headfirst.

It is true that everyone is different. There's nothing inherently bad about not clearing the goal post via the oral route. However, as a general rule with BJs, if it hurts - you're doing it wrong.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
