Okay, so. This is a funny story. I go to a Gastroenterologist doctor for a disease I have, and everyone loves me at the office. A girl my age came into the office the other day and one of the nurses thinks we would make a great match. The nurse called me and I gave her my number to give to this girl.

She texts me and it seems to be going well. We traded facebooks and became friends on there. Then I made a colonoscopy joke kind of out of nowhere, and she didn't text me back. Now I see she defriended me.

So where do I go from here? I'm guessing it would be dumb to say something like "Guess you didn't like me joke.. haha". I was thinking of inviting her out with my friends this week.

Edit: Thank you for your input, everyone! I feel fortunate to have these random people/experts chime in on this seemingly trivial situation.

I sent her one text, saying "Hah, so I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you didn't find my colonoscopy joke appealing". No response. I shall move on. On second thought, I probably should've just said something unrelated or invited her to Panera or something. Now I think doing that would be too much, no?
