I think what people don't realize is that being an asshole is really not what it's about. It's about NOT being the nice guy everyone knows who forgives everyone for everytime a girl fucks him over. It made "the game" more natural and ethical than boys trying to get into every girl's pants.

YES!! Thank you for saying that because a lot of people think they should use random "openers" to start conversations. The truth is is that you're only making the girl lose her train of thought and by asking her "Do you consider kissing cheating" or "So how do you two know each other". Girls aren't dumb, they can smell a guy trying to get into her pants from a mile away. Saying hello and then commenting on her clothes or making a cute observation is the best "opener".
