calling someone american isn't a slur? in the same way i'm an aussie. american = someone from america aussie = someone from australia
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 10:42 AM

sorry to hear you're american. i'm aussie so citizens can get government supported health checks every year
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 08:53 AM

do you never go to the doctor for an annual physical? they tell you your height, weight and blood type during the appointment.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/26 05:46 AM
1

well for example my little brother IS just over 6ft tall. so i know immediately if a guy is lying about the 6ft thing since I'm around someone a lot who is. personally at 5'4 i couldn't care less if someone i dated wasn't 6ft but i would bother me to know they're lying about their height when i can tell from experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/26 02:40 AM
3

nah i'm aussie
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 04:37 PM
3

i'm the type that doesn't mind paying for myself on dates. it means i can tap out and leave whenever i want to if i end up not liking the person/the date.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/26 04:27 PM
4

could be a cultural thing. my dad hammered the line that "only slutty women ask guys out", and "any guy will say yes because he sees it as a chance to get sex" into me since i was a kid. do you plan on teaching your daughter to ask guys out?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/07/26 08:33 AM

your math one is just weird to me. everyone knows what doing exams at school is like. everyone is taking the same test. if boys do worse than girls during tests when the questions are identical - that just implies boys aren't good at doing maths in exam conditions - assuming the boy and the girl know exactly the same information. the school board in my area is headed by men usually so you'd think the school board would change things if they wanted boys to do better.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/26 05:29 AM

you're overlooking the fact that women are more likely cerebrally turned on than visually. why else do you think spicy fiction is so popular? those women would rather clearly read than watch spicy shows. so it's clear it's a more cerebral thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/26 03:50 AM

it is according to the WHO which was set up and run by the geneva convention
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 09:07 AM

it depends on how you view it. like my mum loves chicken so whenever my dad picks a restaurant for their dates, he always picks one that has a couple chicken options on the menu. just like i have a buddy allergic to gluten, so we always pick restaurants that have gluten free options to hang out at. i'm allergic to dairy so my friends will choose restaurants that have dairy free options for me. i see it as less mind reading and just knowing someone well enough to be considerate of their current i…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 03:18 AM

i see it as more nuanced. no one wants to get stuck in a "what do you want to do?" "no idea. what do you want to do?" cycle just like no one likes being the ideas and planning person all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 03:02 AM

healthcare is a basic human right according to the geneva convention. either you're really young, or woefully uneducated if you don't know what the geneva convention is
/r/PurplePillDebate07/07/26 02:01 AM
6

answer to a) the geneva convention
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 04:52 AM

well it's legal in my country so i personally don't see the issue with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 04:51 AM
3

sure you can. it's legal in my country
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/26 04:49 AM

well on another note. the visitors of epstein island love orphans as they're easier to exploit. so you're clearly on the side of the epstein island visitors either way from what you're sayong.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 05:14 AM

nah it's fine. you don't like the concept of heroes. believing everyone is selfish is a ok way to view things. very edgelord of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 05:11 AM

eh every time i had a bag spill in public, it was women who helped me, not dudes. when i had a unwanted dude follow me around at a nightclub, again it was other women who helped me. there was no "good guy" in any of these scenarios that stepped up and showed he was a good buy by helping me. "good guys" don't really exist
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 04:36 AM

you really want to pay more tax for funding orphanages? that's where kids who can't be with their parents usually end up. if the mother is in jail, you can't always expect the grandparents to step up.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 04:32 AM

that's how ted bundy captured his victims. he pretended to be an injured/blind man that needed help.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 03:26 AM

big difference. ever read locked door's manifesto? turned out the dude practically never spoke to anyone on his own initiative, not just women. he barely took the initiative in making plans to hang out with guys he did consider "friends". he's someone that'd definitely cut and run.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 02:43 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/26 02:42 AM

indifference to a stranger isn't deliberately ignoring someone. it's literally barely noticing that something is there - like lampposts when you're walking down the street.

wasn't giselle pelicot's ex husband a member of one of those?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 05:18 AM

probably because it's more modern. also most people haven't watched fatal attraction.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/26 05:13 AM

nikki was possessed right? that means she was technically unconscious from the moment the wish worked
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 05:39 AM
4

i've heard of gay men doing it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 05:04 AM
5

no reason you can't get your gay on and get yourself a boyfriend too
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 05:03 AM
3

well if women are told to "give him a chance" then i don't see why dudes aren't told the same thing. that being said the movie does make it clear that he could have had a much happier time if he's chosen the girl that was into him and not nikki
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 03:47 AM
5

it was pretty hyped at the time of its release. is a tv show vs movie though. yes it's about a dude getting stalked by a female fan.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 03:09 AM
5

you should check out "baby reindeer"
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 02:55 AM
8

he had plenty attention from that other girl - she was obviously into him. he could have gone for her instead.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 02:54 AM

yeah even in ancient greece, it wasn't usual to exile someone (obviously a man) occasionally that everyone considered was a detriment to their city state. and this was a time where women really were 2nd class citizens and didn't have the vote source: my history professor at uni
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/26 04:01 PM

in china the government can legally unalive certain criminals. i'm actually pro that. here's the thing, married women need abortions for health reasons (my mother did) and i'm grateful she did get it because she wouldn't be here today if she hadn't. i can't imagine many men being happy to be single fathers - but i'm pro enforcing that too if abortion is eliminated as an option for women.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 04:20 AM
10

well i'd rather not support men's bad choices - like the fact that taxes fund prisons and wars, but there you go.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 04:11 AM
2

no i'm bi. just unfortunately i have extremely homophobic parents so i need to get my timing right re introducing an actual girlfriend
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 03:59 AM
9

maybe you should talk to your local council about defunding orphanages. because tax payer money goes to those. that's where kids who are born to parents who can't raise them end up going. personally i'm celibate. i pay tax. i'd rather my tax contributes to other women's abortions than my tax goes to fund orphanages instead but that's just me.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 03:55 AM
7

what about r****? because in many cases, r*** is hard to prove. you're ok with the fact that you have brothers/sisters/neices/nephews etc due to r""""?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 03:02 AM
8

that too. i've had female friends treat me way better than any dates i've been on. like my "girl friend dates" have always been more fun than actual dates i've been on.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:19 AM
10

surely that means men need to learn to treat each other better. define "treat like people". because i was raised to have good manners and be polite to everyone. but that doesn't mean i would treat a complete stranger the same way i treat a close friend (regardless of gender)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/26 02:11 AM
1

yeah by withdrawing support from their politicians is the usual method. that's why i'm doubtful OPs idea would ever get implemented
/r/PurplePillDebate24/06/26 01:42 AM
19

sex aside, my male buddies have told me that male-male friendships tend to be less emotionally supportive than female-female friendships. so i think that's a factor too. like i can meet my physical needs myself, and my female friends provide me the emotional support. so getting a SO is like a "extra" to me
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 10:04 AM
6

ya know how every couple of days this sub gets a post from a dude complaining about how women don't approach dudes? this post just feels like another variation of one of those
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 09:49 AM
1

however the reason you shouldn't "act like a therapist" for a friend is because you're not under HIPPA and can also give bad advice. nothing is stopping me from gossiping about all the stuff a person using me as a therapist told me to everyone else we know. and my friends love gossiping about each other in my group. also like what if it turns out the dude is bipolar/autistic/other mental issue? i'm not a professional so outside of listening to a person rant, i can't do anything about it. actual …
/r/PurplePillDebate23/06/26 06:11 AM
8

which is ironic because even if my dad hated my guts, he would still marry me off to the richest and most competent man he could find. which i have a feeling that most of the men described by OP are not
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 04:54 PM
7

are you saying dudes agree to 50/50 housework? because in my experience, that's not true at all
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 04:35 PM
4

spousal visas are decently obtainable in my country. i don't see what the issue is. all you need is for one member of the married couple to have full citizenship and you can easily apply for a visa for the husband/wife. i even had my visa sped up because i when i immigrated, i was a "dependent child"
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 03:54 PM
10

international dating websites are nothing new. if priority was given to women re immigration, i can imagine many men in those countries having a problem with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 03:47 PM

one of my neighbours is a example of a really bad "passport bro". whenever i see him and his family, he's always speaking harshly and acting physically aggressive towards them. if this is how he is in public in full view of his neighbours, I'd hate to imagine what he's like behind closed doors. i feel really sorry for the lady and the kids. i'm not saying men shouldn't have sex, but dudes like him really shouldn't.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/06/26 03:37 PM

my parents have a traditional marriage. however my mum does work a little on the side because she likes it. also my dad makes enough money to afford the fact that she doesn't need a full time job (whilst still being able to afford holidays and travel - because we have family overseas. also afford nice clothes and beauty treatments and gym) there's no reason you can't have what they have if you can afford it. (yes her name is on the mortgage, she also has a retirement fund)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 02:45 PM

if you want people to be attracted to you "for your personality" then you actually need to demonstrate said personality in order for them to be attracted. it's not rocket science
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 01:20 PM

my brother is 6ft semi-pro athlete and even he has to approach women to get dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/26 01:16 PM

it's dudes like you that make me glad that as a bi lady i decided to ditch the dating males part. thanks for encouraging me in realising lesbianism was the better option
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/26 05:18 AM
6

i know for a fact my male friends wouldn't date me because they're either already in relationships or much younger than i am. i personally see nothing wrong with male-female friendships though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/26 07:09 AM
2

i grew up around little old widows. they're living proof that community is where it's at. cos where would they be when hubby kicks the bucket otherwise?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/26 05:42 AM
1

i thought it was a case of genuine niceness vs performative niceness. like i like to treat my friends sometimes without expecting anything in return. i'd like to think they sometimes do the same for me. (in the same way i donate to charity sometimes - like i genuinely don't expect anything in return in the moment, and i just felt like doing something nice for someone else)
/r/PurplePillDebate12/06/26 12:28 AM
7

for most i know it's less "not want to" but more "cannot". i know a lady who had such terrible post-natal-depression that she well... (didn't voluntarily stay on earth for long after that) my mum was bed bound for like a month. childcare in some areas works out so expensive in some areas that it ends up cheaper just for one parent to stay at home etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 04:44 AM

my great grand sperm donor just randomly walked out on my grandma and her siblings. she tracked him down years later and found out he'd set up a whole other family. men don't deserve "legacy" (including ones i'm unfortunately genetically descended from) luckily he's very persona non grata as a topic so we neither know his name nor what he looks like.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/26 03:53 AM

depends if you consider getting ostracized by the rest of your family as punishment or not. and being viewed by the rest of your local community as being unfilial.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/26 01:52 PM

well most nurses i meet are women you know? even where nursing is an optional occupation. similar with aged care and childcare. e.g in my family as the daughter, i'm already unspokenly assigned the family caretaker role for when my parents are old enough to need caring. my brother is not under the same "nurse" obligation as i am, so he might as well be useful in another capacity

tbh in the past the main reasons women weren't being forced into draft is because they wanted the women to look after kids and birth more babies. if you want to enforce the draft on women i guess you could choose the ones that are childfree by choice or grandmas past menopause? re the provider thing i reckon it comes down to maternity laws and childcare laws. because when maternity leave sucks women are "punished" when their childbirth might make them bedbound/sick. re the quality of work thing …

women have been taught from a young age that there's safety in numbers - so women are more likely to gravitate towards making friends with other women especially in new environments. not sure how men are taught though. i have a male buddy that loves to go on one person biking holidays in japan. so maybe the country you're in makes a difference too?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 05:46 PM

i agree. i'm very pro divorce if the dude fails to be an actual partner in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 02:40 PM

sounds like you should join a polyamory group. most reasons dead bedrooms occur is because a woman has lost emotional connection with her man. even if he's hotter it doesn't mean the emotions come back. never heard of the "ick" factor? i've met multiple objectively model hot dudes over the years that have all given me the "ick" after one conversation
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 02:35 PM

so it's fine for women to refuse to date dudes with no money since he's not adding value to hers?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/26 02:33 PM
5

what's funny to men is not necessarily funny to women. not all comedians have a "all gender" appeal.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/26 08:19 AM

well you can take a look at china, south korea, and japan if you want a real world example of which countires appear to be heading that way first.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/26 11:36 AM
5

i remember boys being mocked when i was in primary school for "throwing like a girl" during sports class. so i would say that society looks down on being feminine
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 03:09 PM

maybe it's a generational/cultural thing? my younger brother is very emotionally supportive of his male friends and vice versa. he and his friends also often plan trips together. they all have jobs. so i honestly don't see why men can't build for themselves what women have from their platonic friendships. no idea about his dating life since he chooses not to share that aspect of his life with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:37 AM

well the thing is, the onus isn't on women to fulfill those gaps for men necessarily (at least for free). e.g i have close male friends in the platonic brother-sister sense where we fulfill the emotional support part for each other. it's not like dudes can't seek those kind of platonic relationships for themselves if they really want one. personally i think desire isn't something that can be negotiated - ie when going to a restaurant, i like what i like and the restaurant can't force me to pick …
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 05:16 AM

honestly most women are currently deterred from dating by STI scares and the fact that in most states the burden of pregnancy is entirely on the lady (see Alabama's stance on abortion) i'm guessing the situation must be pretty dire for someone to actively choose not to bother with certain risks plus it all depends on what someone sees the benefits of a romantic relationship is, ya know? e.g my close friends already offer me emotional support (and have my back in emergencies). i have a job so i d…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:37 AM

also how girls are taught by parents. my dad is quite traditional / conservative - he practically hammered it into my head that "only slutty girls initiate dates" at the same time, he also taught my brother to "not be afraid to chase after what he wants" so it all depends on the context i think. if they've got parents like mine, then they probably had a similar stance hammered into them.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/05/26 04:17 AM
1

that's why i think some life metrics are a better gauge for compatibility. like someone who has never lived alone / had housemates is likely ill equipped at home management skills etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/26 05:28 AM
3

given the fact that society still lets people like diddy and epstein to exist, i don't think women feel like they have any benefit from caring about society. since society doesn't really care about women
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 04:09 AM
8

ever looked at what's going on in south korea and japan? they have a "fertility crisis" going on simply because no one can afford children, nor do they have time off to look after children. money and time does play a huge role on whether people have kids or not
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 04:06 AM
1

logically it should be over 21, at 18 i was making plans for going to university. i'd say the uni experience definitely changed me and a lot of the people i went to uni with. at 21 i was looking towards graduation and either more study or my first job where i would use my degree. 18 yr old me and 21 yr old me are definitely 2 different people. i'd say it's similar for other people too.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/26 03:31 AM
2

i went to a all girls school - girls are absolutely trained to perform gender socially.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 07:55 AM

well there's a reason people don't usually have sex with their friends even in male-female friendships. otherwise you'd think bisexuals would be the sluttiest people on earth (which they're not because monogamous people are still a thing) also asexuals are a thing too
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:11 AM

so why don't more men have sex with their homies if it was a form of emotional support? it's not like you can't or don't emotionally support your friends. i'm australian
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:02 AM

well men weren't the ones heavily campaigning for those to be introduced historically speaking
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 01:00 AM

i live in a country where prostitution is legal AND you can get free therapy sessions with your citizenship. if sex was necessary for mental health you'd think the government only needed to just make prostitution legal
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:59 AM

OSHA - occupational health and safety laws - more people used to die in mining and other factory jobs all the time FDA - Food and Drug Administration laws - there'd be way more poisons and dangerous chemicals in your food and other things in your life that could also kill you if it didn't exist Child labor laws - all children have a right to a free education (at least until the end of high school) All causes that were heavily fought for and promoted by women. it was a lady that introduced the bi…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:55 AM

so hit on the "undesirable" women i hear about. like women much older than yourself with questionable hygiene, and are also "landwhales"
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:49 AM

got any names and statistics for that? women do care about men - you can thank women for the fact that OSHA, the FDA and child labor laws exist
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:47 AM

sex is only necessary for the survival of the species (as in heterosexual with another person). otherwise, masturbation is a thing. if it's so necessary, why are monks and nuns doing ok?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/26 12:45 AM

one of my closest female friend was already bringing me over soup when i was sick and planning outings by our 2nd-3rd month of friendship. we're currently in the process of planning a road trip
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:55 AM
3

one would assume that if a guy wants me to see him as the "leader" in the relationship that he can plan at least one date since i can't exactly visit him at work and see him in action or anything
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:43 AM
5

nah i'm referring to boyfriends that i've had for months - years still got way better treatment from my close female friends
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:42 AM
2

one would assume that in a LTR you will go through periods where sex is off the table (illness, exhaustion etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:35 AM
2

mostly re the planning on things to do thing like me and my closest friends have a thing where we mention things we'd like to do. then someone pretty soon after mentions that we probably should get along with doing it and starts the ball rolling re travel plans and tickets etc. like a genuine collaborative process with dudes i meet on OLD it's been stuck in a perpetual cycle of "what do you want to do"
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 03:09 AM

sex work is legal in australia and germany last time i checked
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 02:51 AM

this is why i'm mostly content being single. i've yet to date a guy that's treated me as well as my close friends.

well it's not like gold digging is gender specific (but depending on your generation, a 5 year difference isn't that big a deal - so long as both individuals are over 21)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/26 01:07 AM
2

depends what kind of women you want. my dad is conservative minded and drilled into my head that "only slutty girls hit on guys". if your type is a conservative girl, you aren't going to get one
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 05:10 PM
5

now i'm starting to wonder if red pill is bogged down by black and white thinking, and doesn't account for context and nuance
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/26 03:43 AM

i took my SA to court and he still got off. the court of law is nicer to men than you think
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 06:34 AM

OK so what kind of stuff does he claim she said/did that actually sounds like it wasn't some weido dude's fantasy?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 05:50 AM

i was open to believing him but i don't know a single lady outside of a sitcom/porn that calls her own breasts "cannons" LOL
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/26 05:47 AM

probably polygamy might be a thing? like they do in muslim countries?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 07:02 AM

have you ever watched "secret lives of Mormon wives"? apparently there was a scandal years ago about the couples participating in "soft swinging"
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 05:32 AM
1

social skills and optimizing appearance does work. otherwise it wouldn't be included in salespeople training manuals (especially in the new car industry etc)
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/26 02:33 AM
2

depends on the person? personally i think it's a dumb idea just because i know people who have had their government social benefits accounts hacked etc. my grandma is going through a bad case of early dementia and it is sad knowing that she is forgetting i exist
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 07:38 AM
2

there's a anime called chobits you should check out. it explores the concept of a world where everyone has a robot companion
/r/PurplePillDebate04/05/26 03:38 AM
8

well if they can afford it then that's ok but i don't know anyone these days who can
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 08:29 AM
24

have you ever had a good convo with your grandmother?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/26 08:13 AM

well yeah it obvious isn't it? my parents are happily married and have the old married couple act down pat. their secret is that they actually like hanging out together, have similar interests and like doing chores together as well as going on dates. basically you need to be with someone you are good friends with alongside the other stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/04/26 05:37 AM
3

Chad is the name of a country too 😉
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 06:27 PM
3

us australians know who megan is (WAP song) but literally no idea about the dude. we care more about aussie rules football and cricket
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 05:53 AM
3

it's a generic phrase. basically all men put it into their profiles on OLD. it's usually code for a dude saying he's after sex
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 05:06 AM
1

barely anyone watches it in my country (Oz)
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 04:34 AM
5

basketball isn't big in my country but we do all know the WAP song. so most of me and my friends had a vague idea who megan was and literally didn't know he existed until this news about them breaking up.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 04:33 AM
1

same here. i'm more into music than sports. so i knew who she was from the WAP song but literally no idea who he was until this post.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 04:31 AM
13

as a non sports person, the only reason i knew he existed was because of megan. so in my mind he can return to being non-existent. so it depends on who knows he exists i reckon.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/26 04:24 AM

i live in a country where prostitution is legal. there really is nothing stopping them from using those "services" if they can afford to do so. doesn't really stop that resentment mindset last time i checked
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 04:56 PM
3

well obviously people divorce less if the financial costs associated with said divorce are higher.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 06:11 AM
3

i think culture and country plays into this. some countries have terrible post natal care and maternal leave. so you can't blame women for hedging their bets re income if kids might be in the picture since she'll suffer financially if she does have a kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 06:04 AM
11

so say you lose your looks due to injuries at work - you're ok with your SO leaving you since the only reason they were with you is for your looks?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/26 05:58 AM
1

i vote louis theroux - he's a public figure and is clearly intelligent
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 01:04 PM
3

i'm with you. my money's on the likelihood that most of those ladies were paid to be there
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 01:00 PM
1

dolphins too
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:21 AM
3

or even that online r*** academy stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/26 03:19 AM
4

you may need to be more specific on the woman. like my goth chick buddy and my crunchy hipster buddy have obviously different tastes in guys.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 01:02 PM
1

well i'm allergic to fur so i think it's a case of to each their own. i know a couple little old ladies who live alone who have dogs. if only because the dogs can double as guard dogs if they need to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/04/26 12:59 PM
8

never thought i'd meet someone advocating for paying MORE taxes
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 08:18 AM
10

well you as a taxpayer, already pay for other people who refuse to financially support their kids so complain to your government about it
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 08:00 AM
10

if you're advocating for DNA tests just say so
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 07:54 AM
4

well if you don't want to date, don't date.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 06:57 AM
4

i'd say if you keep attracting gold diggers that's a YOU problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 06:51 AM
3

don't blame women for that. blame capitalism and jobs that don't offer decent maternity leave.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 06:37 AM
12

guys in the goth and rock community would disagree. but you do you
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 06:29 AM
5

i feel like OP is
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 06:28 AM
16

well i'm in amateur theatre so it's also a form of self expression to keep in practice. in asia normal men can wear bb cream and mascara and lipgloss so i don't see what's stopping you
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 05:41 AM
15

dunno about you, but i wear makeup and dress up simply because it's a requirement of my job there's nothing stopping you from dressing up and wearing makeup too
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 05:32 AM
7

pets are technically also parasites you hate animals too?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 05:30 AM
2

my parents are theatre goers. their thing is they know what types of shows they like (webber, gilbert and sullivan) so they specifically look for shows that are by those artists. because theatre tickets are like $300 a pop. i think it depends on your approach. if you know what you like, then you need to keep an eye out for deals like my parents for when they know the show they like is in town.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 05:29 AM
11

well by that logic kids are parasites. so why do you want to have kids?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 05:10 AM
-1

it means to become the best version of yourself you can still be all nerdy, just polish that nerdiness so you attract the nerd of your dreams
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 03:00 AM
1

my favourite incident was when a guy tried to neg the stuff i was selling at a store so that i'd give him a discount. my only answer was: "dude, i don't sell on commission so i get paid the same whether you buy something or not"
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/26 02:46 AM
9

again i don't see the problem? i see it as ideologies and religion. people of the same ideologies and religion should date each other if it's important to them. eg i'm atheist so i would make a terrible partner for someone that's super religious and vice versa
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 02:13 PM
10

so ok then? like i'm very over the hill by red pill standards for women. so those young boys don't want me, and i don't want them because i'm not a cradle snatcher. i don't see the problem here?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 02:05 PM
23

well good for them? like i know better than to force someone to hang out with me when it's obvious that they don't want to
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 01:58 PM
23

i've worked with young kids, the way they act and talk about GTOW do remind me of when kids threaten to run away from home but they do it VERY LOUDLY. like they make it very obvious that they're not actually going to do it and just want a reaction from other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/04/26 01:55 PM
2

you don't think that thanks to the romance books, that's not what women are doing too?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/26 02:39 AM
8

you're not wrong. it is one of the key tenets of the patriarchal society. why else are conservative men so against people insinuating that they might be bisexual / gay?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/26 04:37 PM
1

and you think a competent parent is someone who doesn't care about who spend 6-8 hours a day with his kids?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 10:34 AM
0

ah k. i'm aussie so it's probably different here
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 10:26 AM
-1

depends if you're jewish or not i assume? like my jewish friends say it's done but i don't hear about it from anyone else.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 08:56 AM
3

the courts consult the kids' teachers during custody battles i see the kids more hours per day than their parents do usually.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 05:28 AM
6

eh some dads don't know i exist (their kids teacher) so i think some dads shouldn't have 50/50 custody. what kind of incompetent parent doesn't even know who his own kids teachers are?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 03:55 AM
2

david bowie (yes THE david bowie got full custody of his first kid) before he was famous the courts do listen to what the kids want - sometimes 50/50 custody isn't possible simply because it's not good for the kids. what i find hilarious as a teacher is when dads ask for 50/50 in a divorce case but don't even know i exist. and courts sometimes consult the kids' teachers as reference to help decide on what's best for the kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 03:51 AM
7

i know a dude who moved to a different state just to avoid 50/50 custody.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/26 03:48 AM
1

depends how you view it. i personally don't mind if a dude is less educated than me, but he still has to actually care about being educated. simply because i come from a STEM family with a couple PhD holders and i was raised to care about being educated. re the height thing - well i do happen to come from a family with 6ft members so it helps if the guy i date doesn't care how his own height compares to other people. i reckon it all comes down to context and how someone is raised.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/26 07:34 AM
1

not really. most ladies I know who are into warhammer and legos and gaming look nothing like instahotties. I have male acquaintances that refuse to date those ladies "because they're not hot enough" so, in my experience, it's the dudes that need to rethink their priorities
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/26 06:34 AM
3

i think texas and a couple red states are currently doing the whole "no abortion under any circumstances" thing. i have a married friend living in a red state and she's always telling me how terrified she is of accidentally ending up pregnant with the current laws in place.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 06:02 AM
2

at the moment pro lifers are advocating against ALL abortion. including the lifesaving procedure and results of rape versions. that's my issue
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 05:42 AM
2

my mother had a natural miscarriage for a very much wanted sibling. so i very much see abortion as a health related issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 05:07 AM
1

well if dudes want more women to be willing to have sex, then they need to remove the stigma and pregnancy risk women get for having sex. it's not that complicated why should someone want to do something if they're deterred from doing it?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 04:52 AM
1

so long as you don't plan on having kids, it's not a bad idea. there's a reason sperm donation places have the cutoff age at 35
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 03:57 AM
2

"if you're married you shouldn't have a problem with having kids." your words. not mine. my argument is marriage does not mean the baby/mother is healthy enough to grow well during pregnancy
/r/PurplePillDebate09/04/26 01:37 AM
1

you're a dumbass if you think miscarriages can't naturally happen. just ask a doctor or nurse.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:06 PM
2

sex is how you make kids. if you want kids you have sex. however pregnancy isn't always successful - miscarriages etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 05:05 PM
2

you don't think married people have sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 01:26 PM
8

married women sometimes need abortions too. that's where the pro life person gets it wrong. say a mother of 3 is pregnant but needs an abortion to live. is it worth making her die for the sake of the unborn baby, leaving 3 kids without a mother?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/26 04:45 AM

depends if you believe love is a choice or not. if already committed i imagine most ladies would honor that commitment.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 04:02 PM

well hey if it worked for Cardi B ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 03:18 PM

if you want someone to come to your place on the first date and have sex with you. you shouldn't be surprised if they choose to rob you. Cardi B has an interview where she mentions that she used to do that sorta thing for the gang she worked for.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:42 PM

you're naive if you don't think most guys push for sex. relationship subreddit is full of examples of guys doing just that
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:38 PM

point being how do you know? and if she tells you that she does prefer to wait and you keep pushing her with claims that she's lying i don't see anything wrong with the lady for leaving you for insulting her.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:24 PM

i think sluttier ladies should take up robbing more. like what do you expect if you invite a stranger to your house during your first in person meeting? ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 02:19 PM

are you saying someone becomes your bestie after hanging out with them for a couple of weeks? i admire your naivete in trusting people. how do you know they don't plan on robbing you? (see Cardi B)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 11:04 AM
1

it wouldn't surprise me if male hosts at those japanese host clubs have sugar mummies
/r/seduction07/04/26 08:55 AM
18

you're assuming that the other person has good intentions. some scammers are very patient when it comes to info gathering
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 10:03 AM
1

well it still comes down to social skills doesn't it? like old folks homes are known for octogenarians hooking up with other octogenarians. it's clear the abusive types probably have social skills / looks/ wealth that masks the abuse in the early stages.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/26 06:59 AM

cancer treatments in Australia are government supported
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/26 02:07 AM
1

yeah introverted women tend not to go out much unless she's going to places with a friend that "dragged" her there. similar to introverted men i think.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:16 AM
3

the ones i know i met through art and anime-related clubs. and history clubs. it helps i live close to a big city that hosts those kinda things though
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:13 AM
1

wine - my parents are into it but personally i'm more of a whisky person dogs - i'm allergic so i prefer no pets travelling - my parents travel a lot and i do sometimes go on trips with them. i have family overseas so travelling is kinda a necessity to stay in touch with family. it's why i reckon profiles need to be more specific re interests. but i keep getting dudes who never read my profile before swiping so i don't see why i need to bother.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:10 AM
0

that's why profiles need to be more specific i think. i'm into dance and indoor sports. so i'd have nothing in common with an outdoor adventure sports person etc. i run a business myself but i don't choose to advertise it in my dating profile simply because it's something i do and not one of my core interests/personality traits.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:05 AM
3

she shares manhwa with me too. so no i don't think so.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 03:02 AM
-5

crypto, business, gym, sports, gaming, anime the usual male ones. like 60-70% guys profiles easily
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:36 AM
2

i know girls who are into warhammer and legos. most don't look anything like your pilates/gym girls though. my advice is if you want a girl who likes the same things as you, you need to be more open to the fact that she won't look like someone who loves the gym (because she's not into the gym).
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:32 AM
4

it depends. i think common interests is important though. i wouldn't hang out with my closest friends if we didn't happen to like some of the same things. my parents go on "dates" and watch shows together all the time due to their common interests.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:30 AM
2

no they haven't. i have cousins in china still sharing clips of those kinda shows with me.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/26 02:19 AM
7

as someone who gets "manic pixied" it's very annoying. because they expect me to be the happy person all the time and i'm "not allowed" to be sad (even when i have valid reasons to be). basically the problem is being viewed as a doll or concept and not as a real person.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 02:48 PM
7

you do understand how "fetishizing" works, correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 02:46 PM
0

that doesn't make sense? the woman is the one with cancer. why did the dude die?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 09:32 AM
-1

there's a reason nurses always warn female cancer patients about imminent divorces etc
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 04:52 AM
1

my parents and grandparents (all long happy marriages) all tell me that my SO should be my best friend that i also happen to find attractive. so i personally believe there shouldn't be a huge difference in essence between the two types
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 03:35 AM
1

do you not have close friends? the essence of a bond with a close friend isn't too different from the one in a romantic relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 01:45 AM
1

australia has government funded health and mental health services. also enforcable minimum wage so all service staff don't need to rely on tips to live. can you say the same for your country?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/26 01:26 AM
1

i think the point OP is going for is: how good are most dudes at convincing other men to let them marry their daughters? because that is what happens under sharia law for dudes.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:04 PM
2

that is what happened in china. why do you think china has so many unmarried dudes? all the girls got adopted out. your sons will have even more competition for wives than they would now.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 12:02 PM
1

i spoke to a couple people from Afghanistan and India. apparently in some areas and religions, what she's describing is exactly what's going on. sharia law and all that.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 11:49 AM
3

you could have sex for cheap with other people that you don't desire if you think its a good idea. put your money where your mouth is and all that
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 11:33 AM
1

so what kind of boy would you like your own daughter to date?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 11:31 AM
2

legal in australia and germany last time i checked. things haven't changed all that much
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 11:30 AM
18

you're overlooking basic biology higher testosterone = higher sex drive biologically males will always want sex more than females the only times my girl friends are actively chasing guys is when they're feeling super horny - which is like a once a month phenomenon at best
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/26 04:44 AM
1

it depends. in the documentary i watched, the males that killed the existing males of the pride simply took over as the new ones. the lionesses kinda just put up with the change in males. did you even watch the show?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 06:11 PM
1

did you even watch the documentary? its the lionesses that hunt, not the lions
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 06:07 PM
1

irrelevant. dad gave the same speech to me and my brother at the same time
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 07:06 AM
7

STIs affect women worse than men. just ask your doctor / nurse for details pregnancy risk - well dudes can up and leave. abortion is now criminalized in some states in America
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:56 AM
1

well if you look at how lion prides work, the females are the ones who do most of the work with the males being largely superfluous. to the point that adult male lions are always kicked out of the pride that they're raised in. it could end up being something like that. source: David Attenborough's Life on the Serengeti
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:49 AM
1

not sure where you're raised. i was raised to never hit someone who couldn't hit back. i was however raised to be willing to hit back if someone hit me first (regardless of gender)
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:47 AM
4

you're overlooking that higher testosterone = higher sex drive. most ladies i know can happily live without sex with minor complaints. men complain all the time about lack of sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 05:37 AM
6

of course. women are conscioius of the fact that men say women with a high body count are low value (but the men don't say that men with a high body count are low value) i know lots of ladies who wouldn't mind being sluttier if she knew she wasn't going to get judges for it
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/26 02:30 AM
10

my assailant got away with attacking me because there wasn't enough proof. so i'd say the current law is way more lenient towards people who do commit SA than you think.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 06:13 AM
1

do those ladies have any tips on staying warm in tiny outfits? i've always been a little jealous of people who can do that since most days i'm rugged up like an eskimo
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 05:53 AM
3

STIs can be fatal i hear leprosy has come back in certain areas in america
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 01:04 PM
5

well she got 1/2 everything so it depends who you ask. definitely was for the divorce lawyer
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 01:03 PM
8

you must be really terrible with remembering to book yourself regular check ups with your doctor
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 12:58 PM
8

bill gates cheated on her with hookers. caught a STI. gave her the STI. tried to sneak drugs for curing said STI into her food without her finding out. she found out. divorce happened
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 12:56 PM
5

STDs - mostly an annoyance but can be fatal. just look at the whole Bill and Miranda Gates stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 12:50 PM
1

i actually agree with you. i think etiquette books help which is why i suggest them all the time. at this point i kinda think the literacy rate must be pathetic if people don't even think of reading those kinda books
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 05:28 AM
6

i loved the bit where Thoreaux mentioned in a interview to promote the show that Tate kept trying to compete with him on engagement and follower count. like Tate didn't know that Thoreaux has already won multiple awards for his various documentary series.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 04:51 AM
1

i find socially awkward can mean people on the spectrum. i grew up with people on the spectrum and i've noticed they seem to find it hard to read and mimic the people around them. it's not that they can't so much as they seem to find it hard
/r/PurplePillDebate28/03/26 04:19 AM
2

any mushroom teas you recommend? i'm really looking into trying some. do they help with relaxing?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/26 03:52 AM
2

for me it's when they take it too far. my ex had me listening to said vulnerable stuff but then got mad whenever i told him that i felt like what he'd said was beyond my capabilities and he should talk to a professional about that particular issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 07:00 AM
12

promiscuity duh. look up why koalas have syphilis
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/26 06:37 AM
2

probably. the dude i know is an olympic athlete though so it's not like he's not already impressive by normal people standards
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 07:54 AM

so what solution do you propose? you can't force someone to date someone they don't want to date. girls are "trained" to play therapist for each other from a young age. dudes could do the same for each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/26 04:23 AM

yup. however our overlords want babies to replace dead soldiers as future soldiers. until men can carry and birth babies too, that's likely the reason women aren't as likely to be forced to be soldiers in their fertile years just look at russia. they're importing men now because they're running out of soldiers with not enough babies to replace them.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 11:26 AM

the fact that people aren't as horrified and acting against the epstein stuff implies that people are way more comfortable with pedophilia than we think
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 11:23 AM
12

not in aged care and nursing. women still statistically outnumber men in those fields
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 11:18 AM
17

so why is there statistically more deadbeat fathers than mothers?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 11:17 AM
27

sure if more men are willing to take on childcare, nursing, and old age people care roles
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 11:03 AM
2

so why does quantity matter more than quality? it's easier to learn what one person likes and adjust accordingly than it is to try to figure it out over and over again while still getting it wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 12:14 AM
2

i thought guys cared about women sharing stories about them being bad in bed? or is that not a thing anymore?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/26 12:13 AM
1

it is if they genuinely like and care about each other. obviously it means being likeable first.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 06:58 AM
8

not necessarily. i know a dude who has lots of casual sex. but a poll of the women he has slept with has revealed he's shit in bed. just because someone has a lot of sex, doesn't mean they're good at it. it's the same with a lot of things that involve skill. like i know someone who claims to be painting for the past 10 years. but there's no difference between what they used to paint and now. the reason being they made no effort to learn new techniques to improve their painting.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/03/26 01:08 AM

anything and everything. i'm a member of a book club
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 06:10 AM
4

not necessarily? like i'm super into books and reading and i keep attracting dudes who claim they don't read. for me it's a severe mismatch in values
/r/PurplePillDebate17/03/26 03:05 AM
1

so have i. i just happen to like how he speaks can you suggest any better ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:20 PM

is there any evidence anywhere that says she wanted to be taken out of the doco? (ie not something said by Myron because everyone knows better than to believe negative stuff someone says about their ex)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 12:19 PM

such as? i've been watching him since the wild weekends series.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 06:16 AM

have you watched the new louis Theroux documentary? it's so good
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 03:49 AM

you really should watch louis Theroux's new documentary on netflix
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/26 03:08 AM

personally i don't mind a coffee date simply because it makes it easier for me to leave early if it turns out i don't like the guy. what bugs me is when they use the word "hang out" and then get huffy when i thought it wasn't a date
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 12:33 AM

come to australia. tipping is optional. it's considered good manners but in no way is it enforced.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/26 12:10 AM
3

they are? then just spend time on MGTOW then
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 06:35 AM
3

well i already have a job and a place to live. at this point what i want is someone who can be a decent companion - because i already have emotional support from my friends, a SO is basically the "extra"
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 06:14 AM
7

by choice yeah. when i had housemates, we took turns on a scheduled basis. you can choose to be single too ya know. then you don't have to do the stuff you're complaining about hypothetically doing.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 04:27 AM
5

i don't cook and clean. i only do it when i have to or when i feel like it. it's the perk of being single
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:59 AM
8

yeah why do you think less and less women are interested in dating and marrying? we've realized the juice is not worth the squeeze
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:59 AM
2

no one is holding a gun to your head and making you do those things. if you don't want to e.g buy flowers for your girl. just date someone who doesn't like / is allergic to flowers
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:24 AM
3

are they? that's not the case in my friendship circles. might be a country and city thing though
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 03:23 AM
2

i've noticed my female friends being way more considerate and caring towards me than any guy i've dated. just sounds like you don't actually like each other in your description OP. my parents do nice things for each other all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 02:44 AM
7

yeah. i've noticed my closest female friends being way more caring and considerate of me than any guy i've dated.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 02:42 AM
3

i could say the same about men with sports, gaming and crypto most dudes are generic too by those parameters
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/26 12:49 AM
1

ah right. the being fetishized for being "exotic". that can be a thing too.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 08:09 AM

personality clearly doesn't matter if money offered is large enough to override other considerations.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 06:23 AM

well prostitution is a thing. definitely is and is legal in my country
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/26 06:02 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:59 AM

most of my male platonic friends really suck at taking photos. unfortunately, they also refuse to learn how to take good photos.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:23 AM

i've watched redpill influencers. none of them come across as people whom would make good husbands and fathers. if by redpill you're referring to the pick-up artists of the 90s and early 2000s then it makes a bit more sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/26 01:17 AM

my plan if if i marry at all it will be : till death or dementia do us part
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/26 05:08 AM

i'm teacher. i just know what the words are because my students use it. i ask them and many times it's just because they heard someone else in their class / another class say it.

that's why society should hold each other accountable. OPs thing reads a bit like society should not.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 08:33 AM
1

false accusations do exist but are rarer than you think. SA perpetrators actually can get away with it pretty easily (like mine)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 08:25 AM
3

well if OPs thing is true. what makes him think a raped girl's father wouldn't want to kill the man that raped his daughter? i know mine would. especially if there isn't a law stopping him
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 07:42 AM
6

easy. make rape and SA punishable by death. like they do in china. problem solved
/r/PurplePillDebate05/03/26 03:52 AM
1

men are usually murdered by other men not women though
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/26 07:59 AM
10

they weren't shop employees. i was talking about centre staff whose actual job is to help during emergencies. women who helped me for free were other shoppers.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 08:44 AM
15

my point is that the only men who helped me were being paid to do so. anyone who helped me for free were women if you want you can try to apply to more financial grants to make men help you since they clearly need to be paid to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 08:37 AM
18

men already do that re the lack of support. when i had an accident at the shopping centre, it was women who came to my aid, not men. (centre staff excepted)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 08:11 AM
16

you're saying men should be more prioritized in society than they already are.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 07:58 AM
27

men do prioritize men. it's only in the past 10 years that people started realizing that adhd and autism in women is expressed differently than in men. most medication studies have been conducted with men in mind rather than women.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 07:56 AM

i do like the fact that it's more ok for people to be single if they want to be these days though makes it easier for asexuals to not feel the pressure and all that
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:04 AM
13

i'm glad though that things are somewhat better. in the past if you were single / divorced - people would look down on you / treat you as lesser these days being single (at least in my country) has way less stigma than it used to have according to my parents
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/26 04:00 AM
1

depends how long you've been together? at one point me and my boyfriend started taking turns footing bills because we kept accidentally picking restaurants that didn't let us split bills. we were exclusive though
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/26 02:56 AM

that's a bad idea for people with hayfever
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/26 02:54 AM

1) photos - women are better photographers than men. if you touch grass and actually go to popular tourist / instagrammable sites you'll always see way more ladies there taking pics than men re expanding social circles and talking to dudes - the chronically single male friends of mine do actually seem to hate talking to women. like whenever i hang out with the guys in question, if the topic isn't sports or video games then they hardly ever engage with me in conversation. the ones that are succes…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/26 12:00 AM

some but not all. i have a couple shy female buddies with super impressive poker face. like you wouldn't know she's into a guy at all until the girls talk after the event.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:44 AM
1

1) yes i'm a lady 2) i see naked people on a regular basis from art class - at this point a body is a body 3) no i'm not into uncanny valley looking dudes like clavicular - he's not my "type"
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:41 AM
1

i've often come across hot dudes in real life with obnoxious personalities yes. like cute on first glance but increasingly deplorable the longer i talk to the guy. so basically yeah it's often gotten to a point where the only reason i'm around the guy is either due to work or he's unavoidable at parties and i have to say hello due to manners.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:20 AM
5

she's a very good actress isn't she? i wonder how much she got paid to do it?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 03:05 AM
1

i've always noticed women putting way more effort into grooming and dressing well than literally any of a guys i know (except for the guys who work in sales) doesn't that mean dudes are lazy in comparison?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/26 01:37 AM
1

really? people call it a date when the person brings a friend along? you're willing to pay for 2 people on top of yourself on a date?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/26 03:22 PM
2

really? amongst me and my female friends we freely express emotions and help each other fix problems (within reason). i don't think it's wrong to expect guys to do the same
/r/PurplePillDebate26/02/26 06:33 AM
1

i do like the fact that i have free therapy and government supported healthcare though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 04:16 AM
1

eh i'm not white. but men of my race treat me no differently than men of other races.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 03:41 AM

so why is the number of murderers statistically so high in males than females?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 03:04 AM

congrats in living in a country with easy gun access, i guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:57 AM

i agree. just watch "the wire".
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:56 AM

hey it's fine. statistically men are more likely to be assaulted by another man than a woman. so congrats on being on the gender where 50% of the population will find it hard to assault you.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:54 AM
1

congrats on living on a country where guns are legal then buddy
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:51 AM

stats aside, you have just supported my point that apps are riskier for women and gay men. apps don't have a feature where it's easier to tell if the person you're messaging has criminal intent or not.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:49 AM
1

dunno about you but i wouldn't simply because i have family members who reply on me to be around. 33% is too high a risk
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:47 AM
0

you are aware there's a reason women friends always tell each other to send them a message after a night out/date to tell them they made it home safe, right? the real reason isn't "manners"
/r/PurplePillDebate25/02/26 02:45 AM
-2

say you can only go to a particular expensive restaurant and just this restaurant for the rest of your life. now the statistics is that you have a 33% chance of getting hospitalised with food poisoning every time you go. you're saying you would go to this restaurant?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 05:12 PM
-2

that i know of according to police report statistics 1 in 3 have experienced some variation of being attacked at least.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 05:02 PM
-1

you're overlooking the fact that these women are usually stronger than you and can easily kill/rob you if they want. in fact, the news is full of stories about women having killed men that they met on these apps. the somewhat better situation might be that they rob you blind instead. when this happens, the police won't help you and neither will the apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 04:47 PM

i like the model my parents have. theirs is the one who cares more about the topic/subject is the one who decides. house location and interiors (paint and furnishings) - mum car model - dad schools for kids - mutual (we're an academic values family) banks and investments - dad (he reads and studies that stuff almost religiously) food and groceries - mum (she has more food intolerances than dad) etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 04:03 PM
2

what works for my parents is the one who cares more about the topic is the one who chooses. dad doesn't care about how the house is painted, furniture etc so mum chooses that since she does care mum doesn't care about cars and maintenance but dad does so he decided on that schools me and my siblings went to was a mutual decision . so was the family GP, dentist, plumber and electrician food is mum's choice since she has more food allergies than dad holiday locations was narrowed down by activitie…
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 03:58 PM
2

really? you're the one that knows which schools your kids should go to? also which pediatricians are the best in your district? what's the names of your kids teachers?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/26 03:51 PM
4

my money's on culture differences. i'm chinese - no one in my family does the loud abrasive type talk. i hear it's similar for koreans and japanese too.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/02/26 03:30 AM
4

come to australia. prostitution is legal here. problem solved if you think all women are gold diggers. you can literally pay for sex
/r/PurplePillDebate19/02/26 04:14 PM

that's what i think. the women claim to be happily single and are genuinely not engaging in casual sex - the reason for that is that their emotional needs are already fulfilled by friends and family. from what i'm seeing on reddit and aksing around, it seems that a lot of men don't know how to support each other in a emotional capacity.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 05:12 AM

to be fair i have platonic male friends and only one genuinely acts like he is genuinely invested in my life. i sometimes wonder if male-male friendships are so superficial that men don't know how to be invested in their friends lives
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 03:08 AM

men can wear makeup too. china and korea sell makeup (bb cream) for dudes too.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/26 03:05 AM
3

yeah part of the reason i love this sub is it's fantastic for showing my bi female friends why it's better off just to date other women. i can thank reddit for showing me that i'm better off embracing my lesbian side more. keep up the good work ;) we lesbian leaning ladies thank you
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 02:31 AM
7

you call listening to your parents and friends baggage? those are the people who usually impart that lesson. most women are following your advice actually. they just don't date.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 02:17 AM
5

that's because a lot of men think that just because women don't act on it immediately that it's not there. optimistically, lots of women were told when girls that it's bad to show desire too quickly. not to say that there aren't people who won't use you. but men use women and each other too.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 02:14 AM
1

eh it all depends on if you're good at understanding nuance or not. the friend who always trauma dumped on me couldn't handle it when i told her i wasn't able to listen to her one time (i was already overwhelmed with the recent death of a family member). it was easier to pull a slow fade than stay her friend in the end
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 02:07 AM
1

never had friends distance themselves from you after being trauma dumped on? i've done it to people and have it done to me. i only ever do that with my closest friends now. we also only do it when we know the listener is drunk because it's the only way we know we can tolerate it. you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 02:03 AM
0

i don't know anyone who can handle being "taruma dumped" on. even my friend that is a professional therapist asked me to never do it again. (she told me i was better off doing it with my actual therapist)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 01:55 AM
2

they do. just not on this sub. they do it in plenty other subs
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 01:49 AM
6

you do know there's a difference between "wanting emotional support" and "trauma dumping" yes? you don't "trauma dump" to friends and family. "trauma dumping" is for therapists
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/26 01:47 AM
11

you're overlooking the fact that people do move away for college then likely move home after graduating. i don't live near any of the people i used to go to college with
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/26 03:21 AM
3

isn't that why cold approach is bad? you don't know if a company is hiring / open to solicitations if it doesn't share that info. i only apply to companies that i know are open to hire that's why lukewarm approach and online dating works better because you know they're actually open to hiring.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 12:36 PM
0

i know quite a few ladies in good positions that found themselves "slowly phased out" when pregnant / after baby was recently born. it's not inevitable. so if kids are in the plans it helps if the guy can support three mouths on one income
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 12:20 PM
4

so you're complaining that your son is single? maybe you should look into what young girls like these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 08:26 AM
3

i'd say that's on the guy for choosing to date unemployed women. on the other hand, i also know some jobs are terrible with female employees that are pregnant so there's nuance there. like my mum lost her job when they found out she was pregnant so it's def a thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 08:23 AM

i'd say if anything, dating is closer to a game of poker. like you have a rough idea of what someone might have. but you never know if they're bluffing. also you can get dealt a shitty hand etc etc
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 06:26 AM
3

i feel like these days thanks to covid etc most people are a lot more guarded wh\en they meet someone for the first time. also there's been warnings about women getting physically hurt by tinder dates etc. i feel like your attitude is the more realistic one
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 06:08 AM
-2

ok so why are you complaining about dating? or employment? you're married with a job.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 04:54 AM
-1

well it's up to you if you want to date someone jobless. i don't (because i like to stay productive) different strokes for different folks
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 04:42 AM
-1

i'd assume that if you're technically strangers before the "first date" then emotional labour is off the table. i only engage in emotional labour for my actual close friends and relatives.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 04:37 AM
6

the part of the analogy i don't understand is the getting a date part being equated with emotional labour. because it's not like job applications and job interviews are any different. nor is job applications gender specific. everyone applies to jobs. job applications aren't an emotional thing. it's just something you have to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 04:27 AM
12

are you currently jobless? because you face a lot of rejection while job hunting too. and you can still get rejected during the interview stage.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/26 04:24 AM

what do you call waxing, shaving, makeup every day and daily skincare routines are then? these are things all ladies i know do. my dad, bro and male buddies have like one bottle in the shower and don't use moisturiser. frankly they give me odd looks when i mention sunscreen is a thing and we're australians.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 03:45 AM

"glowup" has existed for women way longer than "looksmaxxing" has. the two words have exactly the same meaning.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/26 03:10 AM
5

well i have adhd so i get it. it's hard but i have trained myself to be careful what i say to certain people until i know them better. my parents grill it into me all the time. it's what's known as manners and etiquette. i do know people who blow up at certain topics. i've trained myself to not bother mentioning that topic when around them simply because i can't be bothered to deal with the fallout. it's just a matter of picking and choosing your battles
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 01:58 AM
8

why do you want to date someone unreasonably sensitive? clearly that person is not for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/26 01:53 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 02:05 PM

that's the difference between you and me i guess. i happen to know many content divorced people and happy widows. and quite a few happy nuns and priests they're all living proof to me that romantic relationships aren't necessary for a long and content life.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 02:00 PM
9

well nothing is stopping you from getting it on with other dudes you know. i happen to know some gay dudes with very active sex lives.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 01:57 PM

eh you must not know many divorced people. or happy widows. you'd think if romance was that important lots of widows would remarry. but they don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 01:33 PM

no they're more like acquaintances. like large group of people who hang out socially on a semi regular basis. they're not part of my close friend circle. think of friendships like concentric circles.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 04:57 AM
13

i grew up around a lot of single little old ladies. i've learnt that their secret is to be deeply involved in the community and to develop close friendships with other women. i've found my life to be a lot more peaceful ever since i decided to focus on cultivating close friendships with other women. they've always been more supportive emotionally and physically for me than any guys i know. i wouldn't say happier per se (no huge basis for comparison), but i would say it's pretty peaceful and cont…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/26 04:52 AM

surely that depends on the job? most i know of are 9-5. so assuming both people work, it then depends on who does the most cleaning and cooking. meal planning and event planning etc. that i know of, i doubt it's the guy since i keep getting stuck in a perpetual cycle of "what do you want to do" with my male friends / dates - whilst it's hardly ever the case with my female friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 02:54 PM
1

well go you mr moneybags for being able to afford a yard. most of people i know live in apartments so the yard work is moot. also most DIY work is handled by the building super (insurance reasons). most of my memories and from the parents of kids i know, it's the mother that handles the kids getting from a-b mainly. so i really think there's more nuance to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 06:01 AM
1

are you referring to hours of paid labour vs unpaid? like my dad does DIY around the house but the total hours spent is still less than the hours my mum puts into meals for the week and laundry.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/26 03:19 AM
4

are you also saying then that it's OK for women to have been assaulted to hate men? because usually the answer to women who say they hate men because they've been assaulted is "not all men" so we can also say "not all women". correct?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 10:56 AM
3

so what do you call it if they complain to you, ask for advice, then proceed to get mad at you for giving advice?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 08:39 AM

nope employed and average all-rounders. just terrible listeners that show no empathy, and blow up at you for any kind of constructive criticism.

it's the fact that if you read the comments and those types are still there that's concerning. jokes can be used to normalise things that should be concerning
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 07:35 AM
2

well you're a braver person than me if you're comfortable being naked around people you've recently met and letting them touch you all over. including letting them into your house. i'm kinda territorial so i've had friends i've known for ages that i still haven't invited to my place yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 07:25 AM
5

really? i have friends in my circle that are chronically single and quite a few of us can tell why. we just don't tell them the brutal truth because they'd get mad at us if we pointed it out.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 06:57 AM
2

sounds like you're after a very specific type of club girl. most women i know were/are nothing like that. we all went on dates with guys where nothing happened since vibes were off. we met those guys through hobby clubs and classes - not when clubbing
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 05:20 AM
17

it's because strangers can't give genuine advice that might help a specific situation. i don't know someone's voice, body language, words they use etc. which are all factors in how someone is in person when we make judgements. it's easier for me to give brutally honest advice to a friend of a friend becuse i've actually been around them enough to know the full context. therapy is recommended simply because if you can't ask your friends who actually know you, then you need someone willing to give…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/26 04:04 AM

that's why i think guys attitude towards sex is weird. you'd never feel comfortable talking about your true feelings and thoughts with someone you've recently met. but getting naked with them, touching them all over, and doing an act that can result in STIs and pregnancy with someone you've recently met is OK? it doesn't make sense to me. even workplaces have you on 3-6 month probation
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 03:22 PM

i have hot male buddies (like olympian athlete) that i watch strangers (male and female) hit on all the time, if it helps
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 06:01 AM

so if you refuse to help strangers, why should strangers help you? it makes sense when it goes both ways
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 05:59 AM

mine told me there's a time and place to meet people to make friends - parties, networking events, church, hobby club just not to bother strangers at cafes, restaurants and in the street
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 05:56 AM

didn't your parents ever teach you not to talk to strangers?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/26 05:40 AM

well your average chinese and indian lady is easily better at maths than your average white american dude (because maths is taught more extensively in those countries). evidently 5th grade chinese kids are learning 8th grade american maths principles on average. which i know from actually being a teacher and talking to other teachers.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/26 03:14 AM
1

isn't that what google is for? that or you need to look for better friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/26 10:46 AM
3

i meant you need more supportive male friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 12:59 PM
4

that sounds like men don't know how to do friendship correctly. me and my female friends coach each other on things we want all the time (like how to dress for a job interview, what to say etc) and for the "not all men" part - my dad does the same for his male friends. they give each other tips for work projects and talk to each other through marriage difficulties. if your friends don't do that for you and vice versa, it sounds like you need better friends
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 04:48 AM

well you're correct from a neurodivergent / on the spectrum point of view. i remember explaining something similar to my spectrummy cousin that was struggling to connect to our new baby cousin. body language is a form of communication that people use. spectrummy cousin was giving body language that implied they didn't like the kid.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/26 03:17 AM
1

social skills includes how you present yourself to other people ie body language. it's not just what you say but how you say it
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 04:51 PM
5

it could also be that going to the gym improved your posture and body language and people picked up on that too. bad posture can make some people look unfriendly (even if they're not)
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/26 06:12 AM
1

i assume you mean complete strangers? it shouldn't be hard to tell if they're an acquaintance
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/26 01:02 PM

yeah just look at tony soprano ;D
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 11:47 AM

well it's like this, to get into any kind of relationship (platonic and otherwise) you need people skills ie you need to know how to get along with other people i like to write and i know for sure my current skills are nowhere close to those of my favourite authors - but i'm working at improving my skills simply because i'd like to write as well as them (regardless if i become a author too or not). that's what i think the best version of myself is. ie me but better.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:59 PM

depends on how you meet them. strangers, no. people you meet at an event set up for meeting new people (party, networking event, hobby club) - yes so long as you're friendly and a good conversationalist
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:54 PM

depends on how you see it. there was also a really hot dude everyone kinda liked at the beginning of the semester. by the end of the semester nobody liked hanging out with him at dinner or bothered inviting him along to student events. because how he spoke to everyone grated on people's nerves. so looks open the door but it won't keep the door open.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:45 PM

so what do you think the best version of yourself is?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:38 PM

i knew this dude who was basically a cuddly lumberjack at uni. super popular with everyone, especially the ladies. because he was charismatic and fun to be around. basically not at all what people usually picture when you mention someone who could easily get dates. but he definitely was one who could.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 01:29 PM
3

thanks. i just built on the fact you used the word "conquer" ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 07:52 AM
2

yeah i do.300 job applications. 10 call backs. 4 interviews. no job. makes me feel really bad as a potential employee
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 05:12 AM
1

i know gay dudes that meet all of those requirements. it's nice to know that i know some very masculine gay men.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 05:11 AM
6

that's why it's bad, ya know? poor gay dudes. also that implies lesbian supremacy - two women conquering each other
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/26 05:08 AM
1

how do you cope when you get rejected for a job?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 11:43 AM
1

and? i know women who work in / for the military. in my local gay community there's bears and twinks. both types are sexually desirable to the men who want that. it's fine to be hurt that you are not desirable to your "type". lots of people have that problem. my parents were raised on strong family values - ie that a good and respectable man is one that is loyal to his family and is a good father and is good at his chosen occupation. promiscuous men are looked upon badly just as much as promiscu…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 10:33 AM
2

i would care and be sad up until a point due to the loss of a innocent life, but that's kinda it. like check in on the parents and what not (allowing for center policy). like when my grandpa died, everyone my dad worked with sent him condolence cards and flowers etc. but he was still expected to get back to work asap once the funeral and all the other stuff was over. capitalism expects you to just get on with work, ya know?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 06:22 AM
3

it's not wrong. a lot of modern issues can easily be blamed on capitalism
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 05:59 AM
7

of course masculinity is a social construct. men used to wear wigs, high heels (for horse riding), pink, frills etc. see 14th-16th century Europe
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 05:29 AM
8

what about the gays? i know plenty single gay dudes too.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 05:26 AM
4

how do you recover when you get rejected from a job application? the principles are the same i know gay dudes who get rejected for dates too. you could ask them if they have tips for recovering from getting rejected for dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 05:23 AM
1

nothing stopping you from having sex with men. if you want attention, it doesn't matter about gender does it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 05:01 AM
4

doesn't mean there's any value in it. it's like those idiotic men who think a waitress is into them. no sir, she just wants you to give her a big tip
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/26 04:59 AM
3

you say OP is correct. i interpret OPs comment as saying casual sex is a form of connecting with people. it doesn't say anything about gender. therefore if OP is correct then you can "connect" with anyone, including other dudes.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 07:35 PM
1

i hear gay dudes do really well on the casual sex front
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 07:19 PM
5

well nothing is stopping you from seeing a prostitute then. you can go do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 07:07 PM
4

no. i work in childcare. i'm paid to look after a baby. it does not mean i actually care about the baby. once i leave work, i do not care about what happens to the baby. money is what makes me pretend to care about the baby. i don't actually care.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:56 PM
4

if you work in customer service, you'll quickly learn that just because you talk to someone, it does not mean you care about them as a person
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:52 PM
4

ali siddiq does mention men often having sex with other men whilst in prison (because there's no women there) nothing is stopping you from having sex with other men if you wanted to (barring homosexual laws in your country)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:42 PM
1

would you be happy to have sex with anyone who desired you (even though you don't desire them)?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:40 PM
5

come to australia. prostitution is legal here. you can have all the emotional connection from random sex you want at a legally negotiable price.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:38 PM
3

casual sex does not include emotional connection either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:34 PM
10

unrequited affection is not an emotional connection since it is one-sided.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 06:09 PM
15

since how do you get emotional connection from someone you just met? real emotional connections develop over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 05:27 PM
5

so your evidence is people on holiday with a lot of alcohol involved? that's not applicable to everyday life context is important too
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 05:34 AM
3

how do you suggest making people do something they don't want to do then? if i wanted to make a dish that i want my friends to eat, i use ingredients that i know they like and will not be allergic to. it's not that hard. when picking a restaurant we choose one that we know everyone will like / not be allergic to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/26 05:33 AM
1

if as you say it's the dude who asked out the lady, then i'd assume the dude already "checked the label" so to speak. i never buy groceries and clothes that i haven't already read the label for (because i have allergies)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 07:22 PM
2

that's why i always read profiles and insist on a short convo first. i don't see it as being worth even leaving the house if i already think i'm going to get bored by the convo.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 07:11 PM
1

i'd say it's your fault for not reading someone's profile and just swiping on pictures. you'd know from actually reading the profile if you have topics of interest in common or not
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 07:06 PM
2

then why didn't they check for topics in common before a date even happened? can't be that hard
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 07:02 PM

what about the fact that i have adhd with a side of autism too? why does something triggering for her have to be more important than the fact that what she's doing is triggering me?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 03:10 PM

honestly you're projecting. she literally doesn't listen to us at all. imagine going out to a restaurant with someone you've just met. this person insists you choose something on the menu for them. you tell them you honestly don't know. then you make your own order based on your personal tastes. this person then copies your exact order. the food arrives. they don't like it. and proceed to blame you. rinse and repeat every time you go out to dinner and this person happens to be part of the group.…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 03:03 PM

honestly we've tried pointing it out in a tactful way but she kept accusing us of "bullying her". so we've kinda given up on that at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 02:05 PM

well isn't it obvious? if you want to be around people who aren't immature, you need to ingratiate yourself with people who are mature.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 09:27 AM

well my closest friends and myself do all have university degrees yes.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 09:15 AM

my sympathies. you evidently spend time around very immature women. my close friends are unlike her (which is why they are close friends)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 08:31 AM

sounds like the poor lady is in dire need of therapy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 05:55 AM

good for you. i value my peace of mind over being in a relationship. you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 05:34 AM

she lets her emotions dominate every situation (with no concern for how uncomfortable it makes the people around her) - she did it to me the first time i hung out with her. so if she acts like that around a potential new friend... you really want to date a not-hot lady that has the same emotional bandwidth as a toddler?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 04:44 AM

she lets her emotions dominate every situation (with no concern for how uncomfortable it makes the people around her) - she did it to me the first time i hung out with her. so if she acts like that around a potential new friend... she's way too old to be acting like a toddler, ya know?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 04:42 AM

so are men. i've had guys cancel dates on me when they find out i'm the same height / slightly taller than them. i date outside my race simply because i'm tall for my race and dudes of my race don't want me.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 04:40 AM

she lets her emotions dominate every situation (with no concern for how uncomfortable it makes the people around her) - she did it to me the first time i hung out with her. so if she acts like that around a potential new friend...
/r/PurplePillDebate17/01/26 04:35 AM

there is one of those ladies in my social circle. however, all of us can tell why she's single (apart from her).
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/26 08:25 PM
2

i live in australia. no one is stigmatized against admitting they see a therapist. in fact you get 10 sessions covered for free through Medicare so long as you get a referral from a GP. nothing is stopping people in your country from campaigning to your government to implement something similar.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 12:14 PM
1

ever read/watched the news? women have been killed by guy they met on OLD. how many men statistically face the same issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 12:11 PM
14

ever talked to normal police worker? they will always say that the highest statistics of violent acts committed against women are by men. statistically the highest no of cases of violence committed against men is by other men.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 10:33 AM
3

well yeah duh. so if he chooses to stick around, it's on him.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 09:02 AM
3

so why do men complain about being in the friendzone then? what you're saying implies that men put themselves into it by choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 08:50 AM
4

have you ever had a friend that you thought was an actual friend and then it turns out they were only after you for your money? that's how confusing it feels for women when we have a male friend we thought was an actual friend and then it turns out he was after sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 08:26 AM
3

eh i have a hot bipolar friend. men are always chasing her because she's hot and then find out they can't handle it when she has an "episode". men do it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 08:21 AM
0

well if you want sex and no one wants to do it with you for free, then you pay for it. just like any other service. i don't have a problem with paying for a plumber or electrician when no one i know is particularly good with house stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/26 07:47 AM

honestly i see that as bad friend behaviour too. no one wants a friend that talks at them.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 05:54 PM

sometimes it's more that the guy talks more "at" the lady when in person. it's sometimes hard to figure out over text that that's what's happening
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 05:30 PM
0

well i can't speak for anyone else but knowing someone's political leanings can give me an ick once i find out what it is, regardless of how hot i think they might be
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 05:25 PM
0

well if a lady isn't attracted to a conservative man, why should she have sex with him? are you actually happy to have sex with someone you're not attracted to? if so then there's nothing stopping you from going out and doing just that
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 05:13 PM
2

i don't see it as a case of leverage. estrogen just happens to lessen sexual desire. testosterone heightens sexual desire. if you're a straight dude that wants women, you're literally fighting against hormonal fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 07:50 AM

well you can always move to a country where prostitution is legal (eg mine) however if you truly believe in exercising your free will, then you also have to accept that other people have the right to exercise their free will (including not wanting to have sex with you specifically)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 07:46 AM
3

depends on how willing he is to learn and how patient he is. impatience during sex doesn't really help either.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 04:58 AM
3

in my case it's usually because men shorter than me don't want me as a gf. so my options is my height and taller.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/26 04:42 AM
0

are you good at impressing other men? because i'm pretty sure my dad is even more fussy about who the father of my kids might be than i am.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/26 07:52 AM
2

is it really THAT hard to call your friends out on their shitty behaviour when you notice them doing it?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/26 08:11 AM

lots of jobs these days have terrible maternity leave options. if dating with marriage and kids in mind, it is something to be aware of.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 11:34 AM

now i'm really curious how male-male friendships work out if you don't actually like hanging out with them? it's odd to think someone wants to spend time with someone they don't actually like.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 11:30 AM
1

he does know that unless they live in a very unsavory neighborhood, women do just fine living alone, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 11:03 AM

even by someone you aren't attracted to in any sense of the word?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 04:41 AM

best change your flair. a lot of the stuff you say makes you sound like a red piller

that's red pill thinking buddy. you need to stop listening to "dating gurus"
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 03:02 AM
13

scenario 1
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 01:32 AM
2

men do the same to women. i'm tall for my race so it's interesting to see how men of my race react when they realise that i'm a similar height / taller than them.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/26 01:21 AM
-2

depends. i read somewhere that a homeless lady if young and hot enough has higher odds of getting sex trafficked. guys don't have that problem (unless he's willing to turn tricks too)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:16 AM
1

to be fair i've seen lots of women become helpless during pregnancy (my own mum being one of them) so you can't blame women for looking for protective men if she doesn't want the potential of being up a creek without a paddle if she does get pregnant.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/26 08:14 AM
15

it depends on what kind and whether finances are merged or not. i see it similar to friendships. ie we can't all do the same activities because we're all in different financial brackets. so because everyone pays their own way, we usually go with the cheaper options to make things more affordable for the more financially tight friends. otherwise we accept that the more financially tight friend just won't do the activity. if as a couple and you always do stuff together, then equity makes more sens…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/25 12:26 AM

how long did it take for the group to figure out that he wasn't serious about writing?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/25 12:54 AM
1

now i'm curious. how did things work out for the non-writer guy?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/25 11:58 PM
1

OK so it's clearly been said by someone else here. the reason i spend time with my friends is because we have interests in common. unless you're super hot or amazing in bed or rich, there's literally no reason someone would want to hang out with you if you have no common interests. the basis for a good relationship is a good friendship. so if the things you like have no women also interested in them too, your remaining option is meeting someone at work / school / church.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/25 11:55 PM

my parents do stuff together. are you willing to do things just because your SO likes them? if your answer is no, then your answer is you want to date someone that is a carbon copy of you.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 06:13 PM
1

supposedly you do get a date. how do you think you can segue way it into a relationship? getting relationships and maintaining relationships are two different skillsets
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 06:04 PM
1

didn't tate say it's gay to like having sex with women or something like that? i think its a good thing if it helps closeted guys come out of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 06:02 PM
3

it's what my parents and grandparents always tell me. my SO should be my best friend as well as a lover. i agree cos they're living proof of happy marriages.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 07:26 PM
5

well to me pretty much all guys i know are into gaming and sports. so that's technically basic by male standards - at least the guys i know. now the ones that are into philosophy, politics and art as well like me? those are much rarer and interesting to me. i'd see it as a YOU problem if you can't find people into the same things as you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 09:38 AM
2

do you honestly not like hanging out with the women in your life? my parents do stuff together a lot. it's why they're still happily married 30 years on.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 09:32 AM
9

what country are you in? in mine it's normal to pay for whatever you personally choose to get (just like you would when hanging out with friends). most times the "first date" is literally viewed as a initial platonic "get to know you" thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/25 08:06 AM

dunno. i'm a teacher. i've been asked to give character reference letters re parents in custody hearings. so in my country it's not that unusual to ask.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/25 11:09 AM
48

here's the thing i think re family court. can you prove you're not a bad parent? these days custody battles take into account the opinions of the kids. teachers and pediatricians of said kids are consulted sometimes too. do you actually know who your kids' teachers and doctors are?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 06:36 PM

i think it varies person to person. i know some ladies who love the non-consensual stuff because they're super repressed in their own sexual desires and want some kinda "release escapism". i also know a lady who likes the non-consensual stuff because she was assaulted and it helps her mentally process what she went through. can't speak for the guys though. but of the guys i know, the guys who are into the loli stuff are also super into (questionable taste) anime. so it all comes down to the bigg…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 06:36 AM
2

well the thing is, i'm a someone that likes to go out and do stuff. so are my friends. so i don't know how we'd be compatible in a friendship sense with a homebody that doesn't like to do the things we do. also my friendship circle is people of all genders and nationalities. so i know off the bat i'm likely incompatible with someone who thinks women can't be friends with men etc. homebodies should hang out with other homebodies
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 05:26 AM

depends on what you think a good leader is. e.g my parents renovated the house recently. mum did the research re who to hire and which new tiles etc they bought (cos she's more visual minded). then her and dad discussed the ones that fit into the budget. and mum made the final decision on what they did to the house. i would not say my dad is the leader in this situation even though he is the main breadwinner.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:24 AM

there are women who have a fetish for virgin men. very rare compared to the other way around but they do exist depending on your country, sex therapists actually exist. prostitution is legal in my country.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/25 04:14 AM

well the older someone is, the higher likelihood that their number is pretty high (esp allowing for age appropriateness) i've met dudes in their 30s who say a lady of the same age with like 3 is a bit much (which doesn't make sense unless said lady is super religious or just not into sex)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 03:19 AM

1) school doesn't teach that - even less now since the war on the humanities in schools 2) most people i know (who did bother) tend to figure that out somewhere around late 20s - early 30s
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/25 03:13 AM
1

personally i have nothing against a guy saying he wants sex only so long as he's upfront about it. i'm going to always say no because i'm not into that kinda thing. but i know that there are ladies who kinda are (super rare though)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/11/25 05:05 AM

prostitution is legal in my country. my advice is if sex is all you want. there's services for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 04:56 PM

i'm guessing you're new to this sub and reddit in general. about 70% is easily dudes saying they don't actually like hanging out with women and basically date for sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/11/25 03:20 AM
9

i agree. promiscuous men make bad partners too. that's why you should ask those questions and vet well early on.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 04:01 PM

here's the thing. i already have a low opinion of men. i already know men aren't there for me. because when i needed help the most, it's always been women who showed up for me. (with the exception of my dad and brother) and yeah the court did technically side with him. he got away due to not enough evidence so he's now free out there to prey on future tenants. men aren't there for women anyway. and can and clearly do get away with assault. so yeah if you want to play victim competition with me, …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 01:45 PM

i was assaulted by my ex-landlord. took him to court. i still rent. i was in a car crash. i still drive. what's your point? trying to play "who's the bigger victim" with me?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 11:02 AM

are you not aware of the divorce laws in your state/country? also, never heard of a prenup? if you marry a gold digger by choice, that's on you for not vetting properly.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/25 07:47 AM

my point is i can teach kids that listen. i'm not going to teach someone that refuses to listen. it's unfair on the other kids and i'm not being paid overtime to help the kids that get sent out. i have people outside of work that need my time too.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/11/25 01:53 AM

i'm a teacher. these days no we cannot discipline students more than detentions and taking away phones etc. students WANT to be sent out of class anyway. so if i do, it's not my fault the kid misses out on what everyone else was taught. i'm not going to hold back 24 other kids just because one refused to listen to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 04:53 PM

well yeah. it's hard to teach boys when they're so deep in manosphere talk that they say they refuse to listen to me because i'm female (i'm a teacher). i refuse to teach students that refuse to take me seriously or listen. unless they allow teachers to use actual discipline techniques in classrooms, there's not much that can be legally done.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 04:47 PM

what's your source? i can debate this all day. i'm a classics major ;D
/r/PurplePillDebate09/11/25 04:41 PM
5

well men clearly do, considering the number of guys that ask ladies to do things they've seen in porn.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/25 03:08 PM
1

yeah "birds of a feather, flock together" all that means is that the best person for you is someone with similar interests and lifestyle.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/25 04:14 AM
-1

let's look at this from a platonic angle. why would your friends want to keep hanging out with you over their other friends? that should be a good starting point to think about things.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/11/25 02:48 AM
6

not murder. but many women i know have been assaulted by the men in their life.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/25 04:33 AM

me all through high school. didn't find my crowd until i left for uni and met other weirdo art people
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 06:44 AM

you are? me at 22 is different to me at 29 (due to stuff that happened). i'm jealous yours has been so peaceful
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 05:18 AM

i'd say most men don't stand out from the crowd to me on my daily commute either. unless he happened to be unusually dressed or acting unusual.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 03:37 AM
-1

you're assuming that even if those classes were taught that kids would actually pay attention. there's a good reason teachers are quitting in droves these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 03:35 AM

people don't expect to have hot sex with their SO? sounds like a terrible way to live.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 03:23 AM

and yet genuine "weird girls" get ostracized anyway. better to be single than be around people you don't genuinely like.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/11/25 03:18 AM

no they're straight.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 03:32 PM

well no one can 100% relate to the emotions of another person. that's 100% impossible since no two people are identical in dna and experiences. according to my male friends - most guys can't relate to the emotions of other men either
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 11:13 AM
1

why do you want kids when you're financially struggling? there's studies that show kids growing up in poverty are statistically more likely to become traumatized adults
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 08:12 AM
2

i prefer the term "crotch goblin" and "pet sperm" ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 07:08 AM
2

i actually had that convo with a male friend the other day. the consensus is that men don't know how to talk about their feelings without making the other person feel uncomfortable. whilst women have been encouraged to talk about their feelings with other girls since middle school. so it's more of a practice / experience issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/10/25 04:32 AM

well it's a matter of prior consent isn't it? you've already mentioned here that you'd like it. you don't know that your SO would like it unless you asked first. it's like someone punching you and going "well you seemed like you'd like me to punch you" this is what needing prior consent means
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 10:29 AM
1

honestly i'm starting to feel that way about the fantasy genre at the moment. i'm branching into non-western inspired fantasy now to avoid the getting bogged down in tropes feeling.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 07:01 AM
1

that's what one of my friends is doing too. ie a male writing under a female pen name. that being said i'm impressed that robin hobb is a lady. so it's not that unusual for female writers to write as a dude for the fantasy genre
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 06:45 AM
1

i was more thinking along the lines of where romance is the main genre and not the subplot. i see eragon as tween fantasy
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 06:37 AM

if you're someone that gets turned on by someone that is crying and in emotional distress - i see it as more of a YOU problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 06:35 AM

actually i think i came across this stat thing by pornhub where it turns out the most popular porn viewed by women is lesbian porn. so take from that what you will
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:40 PM

i'm actually instagram buddies with the lady screenwriter of "before sunrise" ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:38 PM

my guess is because they read twilight as teens and 50 shades came out when they were legally allowed to read adult literature. we all know 50 shades was a fanfic of twilight
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:29 PM

i'm guessing you think guys should like being in jail too. tate has been arrested by interpol for being a pimp

sorry but i'm not sure why great gatsby is a romance? i was just taught it as an american classic
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 03:17 PM

well your dad managed to reproduce didn't he? otherwise you wouldn't exist
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:54 PM
2

off the top of my head the only one i can think of is Chris Van Dusen. although technically he doesn't count since it's a tv series, not book. he's the lead screenwriter for the Bridgerton tv series 1 and 2. nicholas sparks is the other one i can think of but his romance stories haven't aged well.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:27 PM
1

to be fair, it's not like we live in a matriarchal society. and there's very few examples of matriarchal societies irl. that being said i did a deep dive into popular romance fiction authors. it turns out that the main lady authors of the moment all come from Mormon communities. so it explains quite a lot. those ladies don't even know what a non-patriarchal society would look like.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:16 PM
1

my parents treat each other well. it's just that the romance genre in general seem to lack in examples of healthy relationships. my money is on the fact that a good story needs drama to push the plot along - and a genuinely healthy relationship is generally lacking in emotional drama.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:09 PM

to be fair, that describes a lot of male leads in the BL genre too. and male-male erotica, come to think of it
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:07 PM
-2

you'd be impressed by what comes out of the BDSM community
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:03 PM

i would highly recommend checking out Hallmark channel movies if you genuinely think all women want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 01:02 PM

i know right? sounds like the dude would benefit from reading Venus in Furs if that's his kink
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 12:34 PM
10

i'm pretty sure nicholas sparks' male leads happen to fall into that description. his books have been made into movies so clearly it is popular to some degree
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 12:21 PM
6

i happen to belong to a book club (mix gender and sexual preferences). we're actually looking into new books to add to the list for next year. we would be super interested in suggestions for decently written romance books by male authors for February.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 12:18 PM
6

sure, why not? do you know of any?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 12:13 PM
13

what would you say is a good example of male written romantic literature then? because it definitely isn't nicholas sparks
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 12:05 PM

asexuals do exist you know. i find guys who priositise sex kinda weird tbh. what about times you cannot do it like after undergoing surgery etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/25 06:34 AM
1

i can see that happening in a relationship. unless someone is super hot and the lady is looking into hookups i don't see that happening with strangers
/r/seduction24/10/25 02:21 AM
2

depends where you live? my gym has plenty dudes in booty shorts.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/25 12:35 AM

you could define what you think "initiate" is. because some people do say women who initiate are "slutty" so she won't do it if she doesn't want to be perceived as "slutty"
/r/seduction22/10/25 05:27 AM
4

personally because i've moved around a lot, i don't see it as any different than joining a new school / workplace. like when you first join, you have multiple people you talk to in a day. you don't have to exclusively talk to and become close to the person you share your desk with. i still don't even know all of my neighbours in my apartment.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/25 02:51 AM
11

i find that odd because even close friendships take time to build and yet they expect closeness within 1 week of texts??
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/25 02:37 AM
4

people usually don't notice it about themselves, but a lot of what they say when online often bleeds into how they talk irl (unless they're some kinda hollywood quality actor) so i wouldn't be surprised if you were one of those stats people
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/25 02:23 AM

you must be a riot at parties if you keep making everyone discuss statistics instead of having a normal conversation

assuming your premise is correct, how exactly do you think lesbian couples exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 12:32 PM

how exactly do you think lesbian couples function then? if your premise is correct, then lesbian couples wouldn't exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 12:31 PM

well me and my friends recently made a flower wreath for our friend's dad's funeral. didn't matter if we were invited, we just wanted to do something nice for him. what was the last nice thing you did for your friends without being asked?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/10/25 12:28 PM
4

from my personal experience people who describe themselves as nice are not genuinely nice. genuinely nice people are described as such by other people behind their back.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 12:32 PM

i see it as more of a heteronormative thing. like a heterosexual couple likes defined gender roles in a relationship. us bisexuals tend to be more fluid about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/25 04:38 AM
3

depends on the country. in mine my generation is ok with hearing from our friends (male and female) that they go to therapy

well all relationships have some kind of quid-pro-quo going on. just because it's not obvious, it doesn't mean it's not there just like friendships ya know? you do nice things for your friends and they do it back.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 06:57 AM
1

depends on the group. in mine there was one that started out as a couple, but the guy did something shady so they got divorced. in this case everyone in the group chose to shut him out and keep the lady because of said shady activity. the more professional minded members of the group don't want the dude being shady getting linked to us. so it's more like how are you likely to handle the fall out if the relationship fails? because friends don't want to have to choose between friends but it can ma…
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 06:07 AM

not really, some people in my group of friends are really good at bringing out my maternal protective side whilst others do not. it is a pretty big group of around 20 ppl if all of us hung out at the same time. i reckon it'd be different if it was more like 10 max.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 05:49 AM

that depends on context and group dynamics. in my closest circle at the moment we would not, but mainly because we don't want group dynamics itself to be affected - that being said, in mine it's been in flux all the time so i don't think we're entirely against the idea if it did happen. i have a strong bro-sis type relationship with by current closest male friends so to me it would be weird. other than that there are guys on the less close friend circle i wouldn't necessarily object to, but i ca…

re rappers you do understand what the concept of a "stage persona" is right? like quite a few of them aren't actually drug dealers or pimps. You should watch The Boondocks sometime.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 04:32 AM
6

my parents and grandparents always tell me that your SO should be your best friend that you are attracted to. i agree since they're clearly all happily married. so i see it as a YOU specific problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 04:13 AM
4

i don't know a single guy who doesn't care if the girl he dates looks good. looking good does take time and effort. so i don't see it as a one-sided thing. i also know ladies who are perpetually single - she's unfortunate in the sense she has a really masculine face but her personality can be off-putting and abrasive to the point even people in our friendship group avoid her sometimes.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/09/25 04:11 AM

genuine laugh? not like the friendly laugh you give when someone tells a joke you kinda find sus but do so cos it's expected?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 07:38 AM

statistically though? i can't believe it's perfect 50/50
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 07:34 AM
3

just putting it out there since i agree with another poster. what is the majority of the gender that thinks you're funny? there's a lot of jokes that men find funny that women don't. some types of jokes can get interpreted as being a bit "red flaggy".
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 06:43 AM

it's true historically speaking. i've met some little old grandmas that have admitted to making abusive stepfathers "have an accident"
/r/PurplePillDebate29/09/25 05:03 AM
-3

no need to backtrack. i feel like you're spitting facts there. even guys who are 4-5 themselves wouldn't want women that are 4-5. it's fine to admit it.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 02:54 AM
-3

i like your comment. it's proof to me why men can't say all women can get attention and sex. because you've clearly pointed out there there are plenty of men who wouldn't want a lady due to her looks.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/09/25 12:48 AM

game is pretty much the sexual version of rizz(charisma)/social skills. you need a sexless version of rizz/social skills to be able to get along with people in general - see business and selling stuff, as well as socially in general in order to get lots of people to like you. game is pretty much rizz but flirting to get people romantically and sexually interested in you
/r/seduction26/09/25 03:59 AM

tell that to my sperm donor great grandpa. he just upped and left. has a second family and all. grandma would have ended up on the streets if my uncle hadn't taken them in. good luck on monitoring bad men.

what if the dude just ups and leaves? who holds him accountable?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/09/25 04:13 AM

doesn't translate well either. ever been on a teams meeting for work? it's the same idea. it's not the same as actually discussing stuff in person
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/25 07:39 AM

i've seen my male friends do the same re women. it's literally just halo effect in action.

sure i have no problem with my SO going clubbing or to bars.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/25 04:26 AM

that should be discussed between yourself and your SO. a lot of my dance partners have been gay men so they're more likely to hit on you than me.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 11:15 AM
2

depends on the person. i used to take dance lessons so i dance for my personal enjoyment. i don't go dancing for attention. a lot of my dance partners are gay men. that should be a discussion between yourself and your SO
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 11:12 AM

are you in high school/college? because that kinda thing never happened from uni onwards re people i know.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 10:14 AM
1

well yeah it's a starting off point isn't it? just like with friendships. you have to actually meet in some way for anything to start.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:31 AM
2

how are you with friendships? people can reject you for friendships too.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:27 AM
2

i reckon in some cases you kinda need to just get used to rejection being a fact of life. e.g job hunting if you work in the arts - rejection from auditions for roles retail/sales - failure to make a sale because the customer didn't like the item etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:24 AM
1

personally i think all love/relationships are conditional. it's just that in some cases the condition was easy to meet. e.g my parents would not love me the way they do if i was not their kid (that they created) i love my sibling and they love me (as siblings) - condition being that our parents made them i love my pet (the condition being it was the animal i picked at the pet shop) etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/09/25 06:22 AM
4

why would someone be against dancing? i dance salsa and ballet before i met the guy. am i supposed to stop just because they're uncomfortable? how would you feel if your SO told you to stop watching sports / going to the gym etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 05:14 PM
6

my problem is i like to dance, so what should i do if i date someone who does not? would it be better if i break up with the guy for someone who does?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 03:58 PM
1

dunno what mate copying behavior is. i do know me and my close female friends like cultured and educated men - but it's because we're already into culture and education ourselves, so we want to date people with similar values and interests.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/09/25 03:50 AM
3

i'd say it's a non-gendered thing. a guy with lots of flings and breakups (of those i know in person) also seems like the type that don't seem capable of handling a LTR (if that's the definition of pair-bond)
/r/PurplePillDebate14/09/25 05:04 PM
3

well the reason biological male mammals have nipples/breasts is because all zygotes/embryos follow the development growth patterns of the female body for the first 6 weeks of existence so it's technically true. nipples/breasts do provide a necessary biological function that biological males cannot pull off - so to speak. edit: it's actually 6 weeks not 8 days.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 03:04 AM

american pie movies have taught us that men don't have problems sticking it in baked goods. so you may want to rethink your premise
/r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 02:57 AM

to be fair, do you want to do bedroom stuff in a situation where people can easily interrupt you? unless you have some kinda fetish it doesn't make sense on a comfort level.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 12:17 PM

good on her. writing to tropes is believed to sell well. same for some movies and games when you're trying to appeal to the lowest common denominator and cast a wider net.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/09/25 11:55 AM

it's not a bad idea for you wife though. these days romance is said to be one of the best genres to make money in, especially if she writes well.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 07:44 AM

my friend that does onlyfans is working on her masters in microbiology. she loves pretending to be dumber for guys because she thinks her clients are dumb. maybe you only think so because you only know them from a customer perspective? my friends always tell me my customer service persona and my actual persona is like two completely different people.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/25 05:40 AM

yeah that might apply to the crowd you spend time with a lot. i could say you're wrong simply based on the crowd i hang out with. that's why you should provide actual statistical research sources to back up your claims.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 12:11 AM

can you back that up with actual statistical research or did you just pull it out of your ass?

i go to board games nights so i'd say it's full of members that like nerdy stuff (male and female) it depends how you define hiking - me and plenty of my female friends like hiking, but our definition of hiking is more "nature hike" ie we do it slowly because we like to play nature spotting i'm guessing you live in a rather unfortunate location? i'm not far from a major city so there's plenty hobby club options for me
/r/PurplePillDebate04/09/25 12:04 AM
1

it depends on how you view it. my parents paid for mine and my brother's expensive orthodontia. partly for health reasons but mostly because people like seeing people without extra wonky teeth.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:35 PM

this is reddit though. no one really knows what the person on the other side of the screen looks like. it would be different if it was someone i knew in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/25 07:30 AM

I'd say your kind of limiting yourself. like you can't meet people if you never leave the house. so the girl version of you likely also never leaves the house. i'm not really sure where you two would meet outside of some kind of painting forum.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/25 10:08 AM

well hey no one is stopping you from marrying someone who wants cheap jewellery. i just happen to be metal sensitive so my body doesn't react well to cheap metals. you do you
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 11:39 AM
4

as someone who likes and buys my own jewellery, i've never owned a $20 ring that hasn't broken on me in some capacity (lost gems, easily bent, developed rust etc) you can make it a price vs quality debate. women professionally in some cases do a lot better without rings when male clients think they're single/unmarried so it works out quite well for your lady if she doesn't have a ring to show off
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/25 04:49 AM
5

as a lady i've had cases where i feel like i'm the one that needs to carry the conversation (with guys and girls). i think it's just a people thing. it does happen more often when conversation topics are limited though so i think that might be part of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 09:32 AM

well your theory only works if slut shaming and n-counts weren't a thing. following your analogy, the realistic situation is that the more pilates studios you attend, the less studios will want you as a customer. also are you saying you don't check reviews of places before going to check if they have the features you want? because these days, pre-checking a place's reviews before attending is considered as being sensible it's like going to a restaurant without checking first to find out if it ev…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/25 08:08 AM

are you saying that you happily pay for expensive products even when you think the odds of the thing not working/being shit is at minimum 50% likely?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:16 AM
2

what about medical costs incurred from medical complications resulting from childbirth? pregnancies can trigger autoimmune diseases that last until the end of the lady's life
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:11 AM
2

depends on the lady. i also know a few ladies who worked throughout their pregnancies so the difference in money in those cases is likely negligible unless the guy made significantly more money. re fixing stuff, i happen to know quite a few guys that i can easily beat in DIY skills (am a lady) so i don't think it's saying much, depending on the guy
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 07:05 AM
6

it depends on what kind of parent the guy is as well. like my dad is a good one in that he takes an active interest in my life. BUT my mother is the one that knows all of my teachers and doctors names, as well as all of my dietary and allergy issues. apparently there are dads who do even less than mine does. so it still comes out that mothers do more in comparison to dads.

not 100% reliable against all STIs. can also easily get holes/ripped if someone has rough nails etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/25 05:10 AM
2

in my hangout group there are members that just aren't as close to some as others. the main reason being that they don't have many interests in common. so i would say that the basis of compatibility even in a friendship sense is having hobbies and interests in common
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 04:51 AM
2

i think of it more in terms that these days cold approaching is a really bad idea simply because we've been trained to assume that when random strangers try to get your details - they're most likely to be either recruiting for a religion or trying to get charity donations (money) from you. so meeting people is better off through hobby clubs, friends of friends etc
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/25 04:45 AM

right and who looks after you when you're sick and too old to move by yourself? nurses. a majority female profession. nurses have to lift and move people all the time. also old people with Alzheimer's and dementia are highly prone to being violent with their caretakers. don't make me laugh.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 07:22 PM
3

well re hard working - women have jobs too. these days it's almost impossible to raise a family on one income. women can own their own homes, drive and have their own income. so what can a guy add to her life that she can't already get for herself?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 03:01 PM
12

probably depends how much you're willing for your tax dollars to go towards paying for the willful mistakes of people who refuse to be accountable for the children that they themselves created.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 05:32 AM

so what's the point of dating exactly? cos for me it'd be with a future SO in mind, so i'd assume i'd sleep with them at some point.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 03:17 AM
2

i know people with active sex lives who are depressed so i personally don't think there's a link between the two. (or at least i'd assume they are sexually active occasionally being that they are married and all that)
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 02:45 AM
2

maybe ask around religious sects like monks and nuns? bound to be a couple here and there
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 02:43 AM
5

name one large society where women aren't punished socially for being sexually active. this sub punishes women for admitting to being sexually active. so why are you blaming people for not wanting to do something they know they'll be punished for?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 02:05 AM
8

to be fair, women are punished for having sex (high n-counts, STDs, pregnancy risks etc.) so you can't blame women for being more cautious / less willing to do it.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/25 02:00 AM
2

well given that social sciences funding is getting scrapped in most universities, where do you expect reliable statistical research to come from?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 06:27 AM
1

it depends how open you are to trauma dumping? part of the healed stage from relationship-induced trauma is realizing being single is better than a bad relationship
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/25 06:26 AM
4

well yeah, context and mood affect people all the time. e.g i don't approach men in cafes because usually my mind is focused on getting food and decent wifi, but i might if i was at a social event where the point of being there is to meet new people.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/25 05:43 AM
1

why is remembering things that the person you like told you hard? if it's hard to remember the details - then either you have memory problems, or you don't actually like the person you were talking to.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 05:41 PM
2

have you watched Derry Girls? the Uncle is famous for making a story about being kidnapped by the IRA sound boring. telling a good story is all in the delivery
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/25 05:36 PM
1

the dude's family owns emerald mines in south africa. trust fund babies do have that boost re cash.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/25 03:51 AM
2

depends on how you are raised? i was raised with old school british manners so keeping a stiff upper lip and opening doors for everyone (if i happen to get there first), is just basic manners
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 01:01 PM
28

dunno where you grew up but i was raised to open the door for anyone if i happen to get there first. it's called BASIC MANNERS. i'm a lady btw.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/25 05:02 AM
14

you may want to look up the lady in georgia
/r/PurplePillDebate04/08/25 05:07 PM

well see that works out fine for me. since i don't want to date someone who wants sex on the first date. so i honestly don't see the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 04:35 PM

well see that works out fine for me. since i don't want to date someone who wants sex on the first date. so i honestly don't see the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 04:35 PM

depends on the culture? you don't have to if you don't want to. how it affects how the other person views you though, well that's no guarantee either way. that i know of, most ladies don't ask guys out anyway (partly a cultural thing)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 05:26 AM
1

i think it depends on your pov. e.g a guy paying for dinner shows that he's a) generous b) can afford it me and my friends always pay for our own stuff whenever we hang out for dinner. so it could be, how do you show romance vibes vs platonic buddies hanging out vibes?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/25 11:42 AM
8

i'm guessing you're religious? it's only religious types i know that seem to defend the idea of marrying the first person you date.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 06:31 AM

are you referring to the game on steam? i love how metaphysical it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/25 12:55 PM
2

depends on the culture i think. my dad has the odd male friend that would turn to him for emotional/relationship advice. we're oriental asian though. maybe it's a non-asian thing to not have that?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 05:07 PM
5

are you saying most shy men suck at being employed too? because they still have to apply for and interview for jobs
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 04:41 PM
2

well if you can apply for jobs, surely you can talk to people you don't know well?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 04:39 PM
3

i feel like the shyness for some people is contextual. eg. even the shyest person on the planet will have to figure out how to overcome their shyness in order to apply for, interview, and work at a job. they can't stay unemployed forever unless extremely lucky
/r/PurplePillDebate27/07/25 04:38 PM
1

anti depression drugs do have libido killing side effects if you're after that kinda thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/25 06:34 AM

dunno where you get that idea. these days most women work too. the idea of one household running on one income these days is super rare.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 01:07 PM

here's the other part. the law courts actually listen to what the teachers of the kids and the kids themselves say during custody cases. so...if a guy chooses to know nothing about his own kids..
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 12:47 PM

well my mother knows the names of all of my doctors and teachers. she also cooks more often. since my dad does not, it makes sense why the law should favor my mother in the case of child custody. ie she can provide better care than my dad. don't complain about being treated like a "wallet" if you choose to act like one.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 06:33 AM
5

were you not listening when your parents gave you the "stranger danger talk" as a kid?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/07/25 05:53 AM
8

i'd assume if you don't enjoy being around someone, you shouldn't hang out with them. that's why i always tell people that the best relationships i know formed through friendship groups (ie meeting friends of friends)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/25 02:13 AM
1

maybe in unregulated countries. in mine, therapists have to have a psychology degree as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/07/25 02:02 AM
8

so why are all of the top psychologists and therapists in the world men?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/25 07:26 AM
37

therapy is what you make of it. mine helped me out through my PTSD because i use mine more like a life coach and helping me figure out my train of thought. you do you. where i live therapy is partially covered by Medicare so it's actually reasonably affordable.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/07/25 07:11 AM
1

by choice? because if so, that's on you. i joined every single one my school had to offer.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 02:20 PM
1

are you saying your school doesn't have any mixed gender hobby / sports clubs? i joined all of the ones at mine
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 02:15 PM
1

no mixed gender hobby clubs at your school? mine had many
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 02:14 PM
1

that sounds like a failure in parenting / schools somewhere. my parents practically strongarmed me and my brother into mixed gender sports and hobby clubs as kids. both of us have mixed gender friend groups as adults now.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/25 02:13 PM
1

well if you yourself are attracted to active women, you need to appeal to one. my brother is chad-lite so to speak but he's also active in his social life which makes him popular amongst men and women. if you're referring is passivity as in who asks who out on a date, well honestly most women have low sexual desire (thanks to low testosterone) so most women don't actually want to date anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 07:15 PM

well yeah it's calling out someone you know for bad behaviour, not complete strangers. it's not a meme tough. i know from personal experience guys in my group would pay more attention to advice provided by the other guys in the group - even if a lady member of the group was the one that said it first.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 01:30 PM
16

do those men/boys not have female siblings and cousins they see as equals? some of the better gender relationship adjusted guys i know are ones with sisters and female cousins that they get along ok with.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 01:27 PM
1

how does that work in a team though? you can't both be passive because nothing gets done.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 07:49 AM

however those types of guys will always listen to another guy than a lady pointing it out. i always tell my male friends (ie guys that actually listen to women's opinions) to call out other guys when they notice the bad attitude happening
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 07:42 AM
1

yes. because that's how "small talk" works. because it's polite. you have to get past the small talk to get to the interesting conversational topics but that takes time. and knowing someone for a little while.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/25 05:03 AM
2

just from your post it looks like you approach making friends like a video game? to me it sounds wrong simply because people do not work by NPC rules. it should be obvious that if you want friends who like what you like, you need to search out hobby clubs for those kinda things.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/07/25 05:59 AM

my parents are each other's best friend. they hang out all the time when not at work and do stuff together including chores and going on dates. my parents and grandparents have all told me that the secret to a lasting relationship is that your SO should be your best friend plus extras.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 02:00 PM

can't speak for other women, but i've always had more emotional support and help during sticky situations from other women than men (apart from my dad). so i would say that i don't need a SO simply because i already get what i'd want in a relationship from my female friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/25 05:17 AM
5

officially that depends on if the parents and friends are sensible or not. mine are pragmatic realists so i've personally got no reason to doubt their opinions. sounds like it was different for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 01:50 PM
3

yeah. i feel like if someone chooses to actually stay ignorant about context and how life actually works, then it's on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 09:17 AM
8

well it's not a bad idea if you're not interested in anything long term. kids do better with some grandparents support these days, so it'll work out easier if kids arent in the picture.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 07:21 AM
10

well i happen to have a good relationship with my parents so i do take their feelings into consideration, yes. if only because i'd like my relationship with my parents to stay this way. same with my closest friends.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:13 AM
22

hey it's fine. freedom of choice is not freedom from consequences. you can date a significantly younger person if you want. but if her friends and family think it's weird, you can't stop them from saying so either. because they are just as entitled to their own opinions as you are to yours.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:09 AM
14

here's the thing. freedom of choice is not freedom from consequences. no one is going to stop you as a 30 something from dating a 20 something. BUT you can't stop her friends and family from thinking it's a bit sus and saying so. simply because they're entitled to their opinions too.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 06:05 AM
12

depends on life stage. by 30s i'd expect someone to have been working for a while. most early 20s have pretty much recently graduated / just become legal for drinking. to me it's more of a difference in life stage thing where i can see the clashes happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/07/25 05:43 AM
1

that's how it usually works yes. i'm also a cynic so i like to mess with scammers when they call me
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 06:02 AM
2

i think of it as similar in the beginning. basically in both cases they sell you on something/a situation that seems really good (usually something that sounds too good to be true to a cynic)
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 05:58 AM
2

according to coffeezilla pretty much anyone can get suckered into a scam (even neuroscientists) so it should be more of a case of teaching awareness than anything else
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/25 05:52 AM
10

i feel like male-male friendship must be extremely transactional if you don't occasionally do nice things for your friends
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 10:10 AM
11

well my parents are still together because they genuinely like each other and still do stuff together. that's why i'm following what my parents say that the base of a good romantic relationship is a good friendship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 10:03 AM
11

if you don't want to do things for your SO you don't have to.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 09:32 AM
4

australia has a couple - they're mostly for women escaping domestic abuse situations that needed somewhere to stay. luckily domestic abuse is taken a lot more seriously now so there's less need for places like those.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/25 06:13 AM
0

depends how you view it i think? like i got better at debating and public speaking once i joined my school's model UN club. https://insights.morganphilips.com/en/can-charisma-be-learned
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 09:54 AM
-2

i recommend signing up to your local toastmasters club
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 06:56 AM
1

depends how far you're willing to take it as a thought exercise. e.g can i get along with almost anyone if i want to? yes. do i choose to do that? no why? because some people are really hard to hang out with [different values etc.] would i choose to have a relationship with them? only if platonically forced [ie work colleague]
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/25 05:03 AM
2

ah i see. sounds like a young and hormone driven thing. i like to think we're a lot more sensible now.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:45 AM
4

was she amazing in the bedroom? some of my irl male buddies have said they def don't mind the crazies so long as bedroom stuff is hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/25 07:31 AM
3

i think that's incorrect. my parents are always checking in with each other and still go on romantic dates and discuss everything to do with the house. it's why they're still happily married 30 years
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 10:20 AM
2

honestly that's not clear at all. i've had multiple cases where my female platonic friends have been way more communicative and reliable than any dude i ever went on a date with. i've also gone on "girls dates" with my platonic female friends - ie dress up and hang out at fancy restaurants etc. that's why these days it's best to actually have the "exclusivity conversation"
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 07:32 AM
1

i'd say if anything heinlein was more pro military than anything else in that book. that being said, my grandma went to military school. she basically was trained as a teacher but also worked in the munitions dept. so i'd assume that women could be drafted too, just not for on battlefield jobs
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 06:12 AM
3

you know it's Satire, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 05:42 AM
3

it depends on what someone defines as "intense"
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/25 04:02 AM
1

well yeah. if kids are in the picture it will definitely be a problem. most workplaces barely have maternity leave, childcare centre costs are stupidly high, and there's post birth complications to consider. they're going to be up the creek without a pole if the lady makes more and she's the one without a job when kids are in the picture.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/06/25 06:07 AM
1

well clearly the fact that MLMs rely on peer-to-peer selling is very much proof that people do financially benefit from being good at EQ. product is important but my evidence for EQ being good for sales still stands. a well written advert is designed to appeal to emotions so basically a lot of all kinds of sales rely on EQ.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/25 05:19 AM
2

you should look into scammers and people who are really good at that MLM stuff. i recommend watching coffeezilla - so many people out there are good at selling non-existent products.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 07:37 PM
3

scam artists are very high in eq due to their ability to read people. interpersonal sales definitely relies on eq the more nicer versions is likely a therapist, doctor, nurse.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 07:22 PM
5

it absolutely does though. sales and pretty much any work that relies on interpersonal interaction. the best teachers have high EQ and IQ.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 07:20 PM
3

i would assume that you and your SO often give each other gifts? it's only a problem if it's only one-sided.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 06:14 AM
5

just look up the stats for women who get abandoned when they have cancer / get sick. men definitely see women as a utility
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 06:13 AM
3

yeah that's actually pretty easy for me in person since i've worked retail. sadly it's hard to sell products that i have little faith in. i admire some of the really sleezy marketers i've worked with. they can sell practically failing items to people.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/25 03:38 PM
4

if you're saying you want that kind of service, i am a professional editor/ghostwriter. here's the thing though, it's a real skill to be able to write well but also mimic the "voice" of the person i'm impersonating. my vocabulary is different to the vocabulary of the person i'm imitating so it takes a while to be able to write something that can fool people. i'm doubtful you can afford me.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/25 08:07 AM

i see pregnancy and abortion as two separate issues. pregnancy is a 9-month physical commitment where a biological parasite destroys your body. (look into what growing a baby actually takes) abortions are a painful medical procedure that can last many hours.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/25 06:38 PM
2

you're overlooking the pain of abortions. like sure you can still get an abortion if you need one, but they're EXTREMELY painful to the level of having minor surgery. are you saying guys see those as a wonderful problem to have as well?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/25 06:25 PM
1

so men actually think the risk of pregnancy and higher odds of getting sick from STDs as being wonderful problems to have?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/06/25 09:32 AM
10

condoms don't prevent all STDs so there's that too
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/25 08:19 AM
11

no it's not. according to the CDC, STDs affect women worse than men if they were to catch it. the risk of catching said STD is statistically the same but the cost of having said STD is higher for women than men.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/06/25 08:15 AM
1

i wouldn't ask someone what they think i bring to the table on a first date - simply because it wouldn't even be something i'd ask a friend. like what would you say to someone you don't even know all that well yet? like if the first date is the very first time you hang out with them in person, and before then you'd pretty much not talked to them all that much, then there's pretty much nothing to say.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/25 05:18 PM
10

it depends on where you live. some landlords are really against stuff like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/25 06:26 PM
1

it's not women's fault historically. most women weren't allowed to get an education until early 1900s. so re inventors - sounds like men can't stand the idea of women as being intellectual equals.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/06/25 05:47 AM
2

you've seriously never heard of ada lovelace and hedy lamar? and yet here you are, benefitting from these ladies' invention and ingenuity.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/25 06:55 AM
1

well it was manosphere men who came up with the "nice guy" term in the first place. to me it's because in my experience any guy who has ever called himself a "nice guy" when i was around him was actually a massive jerk (no one bothered to point it out to him). so there's that.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 07:27 AM
1

women love pride and prejudice. Mr Darcy is the epitome of the genuine nice guy romantic hero. so you're wrong to think women only want the Gray abusive type.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 06:08 AM
1

50 shades itself actually references pride and prejudice in the first book. it's nowhere good enough to be considered a "classic to be taught in schools" Mr Darcy is still a more famous romantic hero than whatshisname Gray also the media landscape is full of modernised pride and prejudice inspirations from Bride and Prejudice to Bridget Jones' Diary. 50 shades is a fanfic of twilight
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 06:01 AM
1

not anymore it's not. books by volume sold to date has it still outpaced by stephen king and jk rowling. by the way Pride and Prejudice the book has been in publication since 1813 you uneducated troglodyte.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/25 05:41 AM
4

might i recommend Pride and Prejudice with Colin Firth. the bbc "movie" is still one of the most popular 'classic' shows to date. 50 shades may have grossed ok but it's nowhere near a popular syndicated re-run as bbc pride and prejudice is.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/25 05:10 PM
2

nope. i never have. neither have my closest female friends. it likely depends on your social circles.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/06/25 03:36 AM
2

i think it depends where you live and which social circles you move in. there's only ONE girl in my current circle who does engage in the casual sex thing and she happens to be one of the least liked members of the group (both by the more educatged male and female members)
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/25 03:44 AM
2

you're assuming demisexuality and asexuals don't exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 12:50 PM
39

well in that case you can't blame the ladies who do want casual sex for having higher standards - since they can afford to be more 'choosy'
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 06:44 AM
108

out of the ladies i know, most of us don't even want to engage in casual sex. so maybe in your case it's a higher demand than supply issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 06:33 AM
7

adriana lima was a virgin till marriage type so clearly virginity isn't a factor. apparently shakira was getting ready for a tour at the time the cheating happened - but there's already two kids and a live in nanny and chef and the dude made less money than her (so he had more to lose from ending the relationship than she did)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 05:39 AM
31

also ladies like shakira, adriana lima etc got cheated on. so even being a total baddie and one of the hottest women in the world won't prevent cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 05:19 AM
13

definitely true for my great grandmothers and grandmothers.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/25 04:17 AM
3

it depends. i have platonic male friends - with them it's very much a brother-sister dynamic so it works out well. i have interests and hobbies that guys do like - so i can't always pick the gender of the person i do those hobbies with.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/25 05:14 AM
10

i think it's dependent on where you live. because if a lady needs to be out of work due to pregnancy/childbirth, it does help if the guy makes more. not all countries have decent post-natal care.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 07:36 AM
-1

why is it important for you that your child has to have both your SOs DNA and yours?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 04:46 AM
11

i personally know a gay couple with biological children. they just used their own sperm and surrogates. so bio kids are definitely a possibility for gay couples these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/25 04:28 AM
1

what about HER right to die? it's the state's decision to keep her "alive". she's basically an incubator and nothing more at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 06:23 AM
1

you'd fit in pretty well. there's a couple members that like history and metal music. personally i'm a big fan of nightwish and other symphonic metal bands.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/25 06:21 AM
2

yeah it's why i don't mind being told i belong in the kitchen. it's where the knives and cleaning chemicals are ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 11:28 AM
3

fair enough. my parents always say that the ideal SO is a best friend you like to hang out with but is also attracted to. so by your description, the best SO for the average man is another man (i guess? i'm friends with a lot of lgbtq people thanks to art club too)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:47 AM
-1

probably. but it's not my job to cure someone of cultish thinking once they're in it. i'm not a trained therapist.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:26 AM
6

it worked for most of the people in the history club i'm part of. quite a few are married now. the reason is they joined out of a genuine love for the topic first. the fact that they met a SO is the cherry on top of being part of a great community.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:24 AM
1

this is why i compare dating to job hunting. rejection is bound to happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:21 AM
4

the braindead one that kept alive just because she's pregnant and her family can't visit.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 10:02 AM
8

depends how good you are at keeping family secrets. my great grandma passed down some really interesting tips re getting rid of unwanted abusive husbands (kinda outdated now but they work)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 07:08 AM
-3

do you not know about the case of the lady in georgia? how is that a case of a lady having more legal rights and privilege than a man?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/25 07:04 AM
0

well fair enough. they are the rule and not the exception to the rule like steve.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 02:05 PM
1

so what do you suggest genius? because my great grandma passed down some great tips for getting rid of unwanted abusive husbands.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 01:53 PM
0

no you deliberately misread my point. the dude is talented. and clearly likeable or he wouldn't keep getting hired for parts. all i meant is if looks aren't your strengths, what do you have that is a selling point? because why should people want to hang out/work with someone unlikeable etc?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 01:50 PM
1

my parents are happily married. they're a model of what a good healthy marriage is supposed to look like. i'm sorry your parents aren't like mine.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 01:47 PM
1

are you saying you'd rather be with someone who is with you because they have no other choice? because that's a disaster waiting to happen.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:52 PM
2

i thought guys wanted to be with someone who actually wanted to be with them? and not someone forced to be with them because they had little other choice?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 12:51 PM
-1

last time i checked steve buscemi is happily married to someone else in the same industry and have been for years. celebrity aside, it's proof you can make up for odd looks with talent and charisma.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 07:38 AM
2

yeah i feel like they're kinda describing celebrities vs real people. someone can be a great or shitty partner. looks tend to have little to do with it.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 06:29 AM
7

maybe also ask all those mid life crisis men who leave their families and shack up with gold diggers half their age in their 50s-60s?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 06:53 AM
11

well it takes a lot of time for people to really know themselves. i've even moved countries between my teens and 20s. i've had a friend finally realise he was gay after 5 years of knowing him. so you can't expect people to know themselves on a set timeframe. re me it was realizing gradually that religious doctrine clashed with my personal ethics - which took me 10 years to figure it out officially.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 06:22 AM
18

nah friendships work in the same way. there's people i've drifted away from over the years in friendships as well. e.g i'm not particularly religious, so i've stopped having things in common with my more religious minded friends. some friends have become mothers that talk all the time about their kids - now i do like kids but it means i hang out with those ladies a lot less simply because i like to go to child-free events. people change over time. it's inevitable.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/05/25 06:01 AM
1

it depends on context. funerals and deaths of friends, pets and relatives, and intended tearjerker scenes in movies sure. otherwise, kinda not. i'm a lady that's been held to the same standards so i think it's ok n.b i used to go to high school (girls only) with this girl that cried really easily, no one in my year liked her - so the crying thing isn't gender specific
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/25 03:05 AM

in person? so you'd be ok with hot women flirting with you at a club and you'd always know that she's only there for free drinks?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 12:02 PM

in person?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 12:01 PM

so how good are you at vetting for scammers and thieves? con artists exist ya know.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/25 09:23 AM

from my experience, it's more likely on a who knows who basis. depends on the company though but it helps to have your personality pre-vetted by a current employee.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 09:44 AM
6

do they? i'm a volunteer mod for one of those subs and i hardly ever come across what you claim
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 09:42 AM
3

well clearly it's a "choice". if guys want women to act that way, they should reward it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 04:31 AM
8

well the dude did stab a mother and a baby. and statistically most of the victims were women.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 04:07 AM
9

maybe ask the police? they actually have departments that monitor online hate speech now to help them identify potential violent perpetrators faster. (i have a friend that is a policeman confirm that this exists)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 04:04 AM
15

yes but i've never met a single femcel that has actually verbally threatened to kill and assault all men. whereas those comments are pretty common on sites and subs known for being populated by incels
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:59 AM
11

well i do think that it's odd for someone to verbally threaten the safety of the gender they're supposedly attracted to. like i love animals so i would never commit animal abuse intentionally. incels literally threaten women (not all but enough incels have done it to be statistically significant)
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:55 AM
3

given it's rare to see most 20somethings who are wealthy by then, and that's when most people are meeting their spouses it's unlikely wealth is a factor
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:25 AM
4

i know a girl in my "group" that is like that. none of the guys speak of her in a positive light behind her back.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:11 AM
4

sydney australia recently had one where this dude went around and stabbed a whole bunch of people in a shopping mall. the dude was known for being kinda odd by people who knew him
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 03:02 AM
11

i don't know a single femcel that's threatened to rape me or attack me though. incels have.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/25 02:59 AM
1

well i can afford to have a car if i want one. i just currently do not
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 04:36 PM
2

nah i'm thinking my great-great grandparents should have vetted better when they were looking for someone to marry their daughter. my parents are 30 plus years happily marries so they both clearly chose well
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 04:35 PM
1

well my decision not to own a car at the moment is a choice, because my residential location is practically next to regular public transport. OP has literally mentioned that his odds of ever driving in the future is extremely low. it's entirely different situation
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 03:11 PM
3

depends how optimistic you are. from my experience, just because someone has the potential to change, it doesn't mean that they will. my great spermdonor left and abandoned his wife and kids - so you never know how fatherhood may change someone plus i don't actually know a single couple irl that met whilst clubbing
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 03:04 PM
2

given that i date for marriage, yeah. i don't want the father of my kids to be unreliable and incompetent at being there for his family. no child deserves that.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 02:52 PM
1

that's hybridstophilia. if you want to date someone who has a fetish for murderers, that's your personal choice. most ladies i mix with will run away as soon as we find out someone has a criminal past. personally i would never want to date someone with face tatoos. you can if you want to though
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 02:49 PM
1

yeah that's why if i know someone is unreliable at a time i might need them the most, i don't bother associating with them in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 02:40 PM
1

i do know how to drive. so does that make me better than him?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 12:15 PM
1

well i can drive, don't live with my parents, etc. so it's more holding someone else to the same standards i meet
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 11:08 AM
1

it's fine. i have what he does not so it's fine by me
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 11:07 AM
-2

see, there's the kicker. that's a service specific to singapore. it doesn't exist in every country/city.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 09:36 AM
1

you'd think so but these days plans change at the last minute for everyone. i've had cases where i was unable to be there for a friend because a emergency in my own family happened around the same time.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 09:34 AM
2

if you're referring to marriage - it's because by law, hospitals are allowed to refuse entry to visitors to anyone that isn't legally related to the patient. so if you're in a state of needing surgery but can't make the decision yourself, good luck on your parents/sibling being able to make the right decision for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 09:31 AM
0

can you? where do those exist?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 09:27 AM
2

to be fair, hypothetically assume i'm dating/married to a guy. neither of us knows how to drive. i'm about to give birth and the ambulance can't get to us in time. ubers and taxis will definitely refuse to come. what happens next?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/25 09:24 AM
1

well i'm in a very metropolitan city in Australia. i'd say out of my friendships with guys, i'm the one that usually said hello first in group settings. i'm kinda impulsive like that. to be fair though, we were usually already hanging out as new members to a group of some sort.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/25 03:31 AM
2

well the dudes in my hangout group don't have that problem. and they're all very average. we all met through hobby clubs and events where part of the point is to meet people you've never met before. it's possible in your personal case that your anxiety is preventing you from actually going out and building a social group.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/25 03:25 AM
1

it's both. i the people in my social circle who do go on dates meet people through social activities AND dating apps.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/25 03:21 AM
3

i would kinda want it just because i don't sleep easily so quality of sleep is important to me. it depends on how the other person sleeps and how we compromise on sleep hygiene.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 06:47 AM
1

well unfortunately i'm one of those ladies who used to get "asked out as a joke" in school. so the lingering side effect is unless a guy is upfront about the fact he wants a date, i always assume he's lonely and just wants a friend to talk to. i am pretty social and easy going though. so at least i'm not lacking in people to talk to.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 05:38 AM
1

given i'm mostly happy single, i've trained myself to mostly ignore my parents and just focus on building my friendship circle like i was always planning on doing anyway. for me the idea of getting a bf is competing with the fact i like how relatively peaceful my life is at the moment. since i already have pretty good relationships with friends and family
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 05:28 AM
1

i'm glad that my parents are egalitarian in this sense - they put pressure on me AND my bother to hurry up with getting dates and getting married
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 04:54 AM
1

i'm glad that my parents are egalitarian in this sense - they put pressure on me AND my bother to hurry up with getting dates and getting married
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 04:53 AM
1

nah marcus aurelius was probably ok at his job BUT he could have done a better job re commodus. i learnt in class and various sources that marcus aurelius knew commodus was going to be a shitty emperor and handed the reigns over anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 04:39 AM
1

honestly i can say the same about gal gadot and action stars like "the rock". not much range but at least they deliver on what they do.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 04:32 AM
2

i thought everyone likes john wick?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/05/25 04:27 AM
6

cillian murphy and keanu reeves. both beautiful men with excellent character. no scandals at all and decent work ethic. very good at their jobs and rare for anyone to say anything bad about them. both loved by film crews and their fellow actors.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 03:25 PM
1

i'm guessing you're a virgin? it's like you don't know what position you'd be in when pleasuring your partner.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 12:51 PM
3

i am. i finally figured out grooming and dressing stuff that actually worked for me in my 30s. also finally made progress re my mental health. i spent my 20s with a bad case of depression and terrible grooming.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/25 04:36 AM
6

depends on which STEM subjects. lots of my IT friends have mentioned using LLMs when drafting for work now. ditto re anything relying heavily on statistics (AIs for calculating stuff). my dad has friends in robotics and they all say that the government has poured a lot of funding into developing robots for different types of manual labour. So your bigger issue is - can a robot do your job?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/25 05:53 AM
2

reddit is full of stories of both examples. you must be new here
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 11:32 PM

i live in a sex is legal country. we still have our home grown incels.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 02:50 AM
1

so what would your advice be to someone who keeps failing at job applications and interviews? because in my country, whilst welfare/social services is definitely a thing, you still have to go through months worth of applications and paperwork to qualify
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/25 02:48 AM
2

so what are the circumstances that kept your mother from not leaving your dad? because if a female friend of mine was in that kinda mess, i'd try to help her leave asap.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/25 07:14 AM
3

if you were to spend any time on FA subs, all those guys would tell you that high school relationships do count. personally i wouldn't know since i'm one of the people that didn't bother dating in high school (got too caught up in academics)
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 04:06 AM
2

i happen to know plenty of happily married my height and below asian men simply from my local asian community. no reason not to figure out where yours might be - since every major city has at least one "chinatown / little asia" as far as i'm aware
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 04:03 AM
4

then what's the issue? you're living proof that women don't mind dating shorter men.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 04:00 AM
2

probably it's a locational thing. when i went back to asia to visit my family, i realised that my 5'3 made me actually pretty tall amongst the men and women on the streets. however in my actual location of living in australia, i'm average-short by average population standards in my local area. my little brother got the height gene of the family though so there's that.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 03:59 AM
2

are you ok with dating women taller than yourself? i'm a 5'3 lady which makes me pretty average amongst the women i know. but most of the guys in my immediate circle are 5'4 and above so it's not unreasonable for me to say that the odds of me dating a guy taller than myself is pretty high.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 03:53 AM
2

i don't think preference necessarily means that someone will hold out for their preference 100%. eg. i have a thing for red heads, but i've only ever dated brunettes simply because those were the people that have asked me out / accepted dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 03:48 AM
7

i would say that unless he offers suggestions re alternatives for hanging out, then the unspoken message is that he probably doesn't want to hang out with her? because that's the minimum effort required from friends, never mind a potential SO
/r/PurplePillDebate08/05/25 03:35 AM
10

it's referred to as the "loss of third spaces epidemic". ie there aren't as many places as there used to be for people to be outside of work and home where you don't necessarily need to spend a lot of money to be there
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 02:57 PM

yeah it's called hybristophilia
/r/PurplePillDebate03/05/25 08:20 AM
2

for me it's more the issue of the term "hang out" because i hang out with my friends all the time. so if a guy uses the word "hang out" i automatically assume he wants to be a platonic buddy but not want to hang out as part of the group just yet.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:27 PM

i just see it as a case of "attraction is as attraction does" ie there's a minimum level of attraction required to get your foot in the door, so to speak
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:23 PM
4

so what do you suggest that might be? when i'm being approached i usually drag out the not having sex bit for a long time just because i can't have sex without feelings. so that's ok too right? ask a guy out and never have sex with him?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:20 PM
3

so if i happen to be attracted to guys who are courageous, then it's ok for me not to ask a guy out right? since the dude asking me out demonstrates courage
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:16 PM
6

my dad taught me not to be forward with men because chances are he'll say yes just so he can use me for sex (which let's face it, thanks to project 2025 is a really bad idea)
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 02:14 PM

well i have tried to help out my single male buddies. the main thing i've noticed re them is they're passive re approaching women but also don't like women who like taking the lead in general. so it's a personality miss-match most of the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 12:49 PM

well a quick poll of myself and my female friends reveals our tastes all vary. one loves skinny goth boys, another likes kpop twinks, another is into tattooed and bearded biker dudes. so my advice to dudes would be to maximize his appeal to the specific kind of girl he wants.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 12:34 PM

well i mean i've heard stories of men on reddit getting it on with animals, fruit and many inanimate objects. so i don't see it as a privilege if a guy wants to get it on with me, simply because he'd probably get it on with fruit and animals too.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 12:31 PM

well it's not wrong in the sense that way more women care about art and aesthetics in general than men do. so it's not wrong to assume women do care about aesthetics in all areas of her life.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 12:28 PM

i'm in a country where prostitution is legal. we still have plenty of home grown "men who blame women for the fact the man himself isn't appealing enough to get a date"
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/25 12:26 PM
0

so long as you don't see anything wrong with your own teenage daughter dating a much older guy then it's all good. you are fine with it right? since you see nothing wrong with it yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/25 05:52 PM
1

i remember there being a notice going around in the comics convention community that was warning cosplayers about wearing too tight in the crotch area clothing so i don't think it's necessarily a hobby limiting concern. i see it more as "freedom of action is not freedom from consequences". like you can wear whatever you want, so long as you are aware of all of the different ways other people might react to you.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/25 03:39 AM
1

just legislate gun use and have gun control laws hon. we don't have that gun problem here in australia :)
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/25 02:51 AM
1

it's the same here in australia
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 09:50 AM

same here in australia too
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 09:49 AM

it's legal here in australia. we still get our home grown redpillers and incels.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 09:48 AM

i think for locations like the gym and swimming it's mostly ok. your bigger problem is dealing with irate parents when you are in a family friendly location with lots of kids around crotch height
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/25 06:43 AM
1

sliding into DMs in reddit is really daft. there's no guarantee the other person lives in the same city as you, much less the same country.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/25 06:16 AM
1

one of my female friends develops crushes on any guy that is kind to her. i've had to teach her how to read people.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/25 10:55 AM

Ironically, the few times that I did outright need help when I was in public from strangers, the people that actually did help me the most often were women.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/25 06:09 AM
1

Just out of morbid curiosity. How exactly do you usually meet people and make friends in general? Because as far as I can tell, just getting to know someone that you have never met before usually does include some version of cold approaching.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/04/25 06:05 AM
1

hard to say. it's legal here in australia. i still know quite a few guys who are looking for actual girlfriends vs just sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/04/25 02:36 AM
1

my parents' advice has always been - make an effort to always be the best version of yourself you can be (fitness, appearance, job), make an effort to go out and meet lots of people (especially ones who have similar values and interests), develop social skills so you can talk to people etc. i reckon a lot of "blue pill" advice is pretty much just that.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:58 AM
24

minus the cat thing (cos i'm allergic), you definitely sound like a fellow lady living my dream life. what do you teach?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/25 04:50 AM
1

i honestly choose not to engage with guys who ask for advice when complaining about their lack of romance online anymore. i've tried to help in good faith before, but it's hardly ever helped. re your main point re people being mean on the internet, trolling is a thing. it's not a gendered activity. you need to train yourself to ignore it.

from my experience, there's literally no point. if a guy is already not willing to listen to me because i am a lady, it's better i get one of my male friends to deliver the message. since the dude in question is more likely to listen to another dude
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/25 10:35 AM
3

lol i'm not the passive one. the pattern i have personally experienced, is that that the dates where i was the one taking all the initiative, it turns out the person i invited was also passive in conversation. i believe in matching energy. so with those people, there was never a second date.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 02:46 PM
2

lol i do ask guys i find attractive out. so i'm sorry if no lady has ever asked you out. i just meant that the guys i have made plans for re dating, even the ones that suggested "hanging out" first to me but it was where i was the one who made the decision re when and where to go, those guys always turned out to be boring to hang out with because they were passive.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:51 PM
2

that's the most counterintuitive "tip" i've ever heard. from my experience, the friends i have where i'm the one always suggesting things to do with are the passive ones. the active personality ones are the ones that also suggest stuff to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 01:18 PM
3

so what do you recommend to women who aren't attracted to passive men?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 12:07 PM
1

nah my male friends and i see each other as only friends. was just wondering how many people out there genuinely have standards that are "too high", vs just bad luck re social lives so their odds of meeting new people are low.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 05:03 AM
2

what about physical appearance? people do come as a package deal, you know? i have male friends that are internally and life experience wise, good matches for me on average. the main reason they are friends and not more, is down to other factors are mainly down to current lifestyle factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/03/25 04:07 AM
-2

would you date the female version of yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 05:51 AM
4

truth of the problem is i have literally no idea how to help the shy men in my friendship circle. like i can literally introduce him to ladies i know, but i have no control over how their conversation goes with each other. i don't suggest cold approaching people (unless you're at a party / event where the point of being there is to meet new people)
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 05:26 AM
1

that has actually happened to me a few times. i remember my male housemates thinking i was slutty, just because they saw me around the house in clubbing outfits (because i was actually going to hang out with my female friends at a bar later that day) it's better off making things clearer early - but then again i'm also neurodivergent so i tend to be very direct on impulse.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/03/25 05:22 AM
1

that just reminded me of that meme: "i told him i have the body of a goddess. but he didn't study art history and is in for a surprise"
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/25 03:32 AM
2

that's my main concern re having kids (if i have any). my family is genetically likely to produce someone autistic (since we already have a few members that are) however that also makes us living proof that autism is not something that would get in the way of dating and romance.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/25 06:08 AM
1

my parents were on the same page re the kids thing. my dad is actually very involved in me and my brother's lives in a healthy way. it's why i have a good relationship with my dad. i think if you really want kids yourself, you need to look for a guy that actually does want to be a father.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/25 05:35 AM
1

are you saying you wouldn't mind being assaulted by a man, yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/25 04:20 AM
3

no they don't. tell that to all the assault victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/25 03:30 AM
4

so you're complaining that women think you'd make unhealthy kids / make a terrible parent? unless you actually want to have kids, i don't see why that would be an issue?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 09:40 AM
12

most dudes on here complain more about the lack of sex than the lack of women they can start a family with though
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 07:51 AM
22

it depends? i don't think some random dude I've never seen before in my life shouting "nice tits" as he drives off is considered good attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 07:49 AM
9

finally, a sensible comment for once :) comments like yours are rare on here. i wholly agree with you
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/25 06:01 AM
7

that's a non-gender thing. women would usually prefer closure too
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 05:13 AM
1

isn't that normal? i have male friends that are flaky re messaging too.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 05:12 AM
2

ok and how many of those friends is a "close" friend? ie someone you know would likely have your back if you were in a tough situation (like hospital)
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 05:10 AM
4

ok so if what you want is a family of your own, what qualities do you have that makes you husband material? keep in mind that women work these days too so a "paycheck" is kinda the bare minimum there.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 04:36 AM
7

i'm not sure where you're coming from. my parents are happily married 30 odd years. they are each others' best friend and have what we call a proper partnership when it comes to how everything gets done. they also actually enjoy spending time together and doing things together (like theater, day trips, and mundane things like housework). why would anyone not aspire to want what my parents have?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 04:20 AM
10

the bottom line is that people like hanging out with people who like them. so if you don't actually like hanging out with women - then there's nothing wrong with that. just don't expect women to enjoy hanging out with you either.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 04:05 AM
6

these days it's fine to have a SO that is the same gender as yourself in most countries, you know.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/03/25 03:55 AM
1

i see it as an etiquette thing. people are fine to judge so long as they keep it to themselves. it's like hanging out with vegans. i'm fine with hanging out with a vegan person so long as they don't make their life choices my problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 08:19 AM
1

hard to say. even in my friendship group we judge each other for their life choices / behaviour in certain situations. in your case it sounds like you're arguing for better etiquette/manners. like i'll judge what i see but i won't act on my opinion simply because i don't care about choices of strangers. i will act if the person is someone in my friendship group simply because the choices of said friend will affect me one way or another.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:56 AM
0

well yeah cos taken to certain extremes you can also raise the question of "should people with mental development issues be allowed to date?" i feel like it's a very shades of grey type question simply because context is highly important.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:48 AM
3

eh no one is free from judgement. i go out without makeup, i get judged for not looking "put together". i go out in a pretty dress, i get judged for "dressing for attention". i like to say to Christians that i know i'm going to hell regardless since i'm already part of the lgbt community. it's life. wherever you live, someone will judge you for your life choices.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:38 AM
0

well my attitude is, date who you want. either way, you will be judged by your peers and the people around you regardless of whatever choice you make. only you can decide if it's worth it. simply because freedom and legality of choice, is not the same as freedom from repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:30 AM
-2

can't speak for anyone else but there is a definite difference in early 20s me compared to late 20s me. because of how scientific tools have progressed the studies behind brain science is still very new, simply because MRI, CT scans and high detail microscopes are new things too.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:23 AM
4

eh when i was at uni we had a thriving lgbt community. we still judged the 30s with 20s person even if it was a lgbt couple. mainly because we thought the "lifestage discrepency" was weird. like a person in uni who goes out clubbing every weekend is at a difference seeking experiences stage to someone with a 9-5 job.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:14 AM
0

well i remember it being odd when i was at the nighclubs in uni and seeing 30 somethings hit on myself and my friends. basically it comes down to, sure you can if you want to, but you will be judged by the peers of the said early 20s person. if you can put up with said judgement, that's for you to decide.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 06:03 AM
4

ok? and? no one is stopping you from doing it if you want to. lots of people do stuff every day that other people will judge them for. freedom and legal of action is not freedom from repercussions.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:58 AM
1

i have a friend that is a neurobiologist. the studies show that the brain isn't fully developed for males and females until 25 years old. scientific backing DOES exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/25 05:36 AM

that's a locational based thing i reckon. i live in a very white collar neighbourhood. those are the kind of guys my neighbours warn each other about to stay well away from
/r/PurplePillDebate15/03/25 03:32 AM
2

depends how seriously they take the craft. being accused of being too derivative is actually a very bad thing in the writing community - so developing your own style is actually highly encouraged, at least by people who see writing as an artform.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/25 03:59 AM
3

in the writing community, we don't call that a bad thing. it's fine to mimic the authors you already love until you've developed your own style through practice.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:05 AM
1

in my case, mostly through practice. i got myself a retail job that meant that i had to talk to customers and got really good at small talk that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:03 AM
1

neuroplasticity is a thing you know
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/25 06:01 AM
3

finally. someone sensible on here. my ex used to pull the "silent treatment" thing on me all the time. notice EX.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 10:38 AM
-3

i think of it more as different strokes for different folks. i have one friend that loves the gym bro look. i have another that loves bearded metalheads. and another that has a thing for anemic goth boys. i think of it more like you should try to appeal to the type of person you would like to date
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 09:32 AM
0

honestly i just thought thanking people for doing nice things for you is simply good manners?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/25 07:13 AM
1

it depends? i have a great relationship with my father and i could be called a "daddy's girl" BUT I do often help out my parents re chores and occasional household stuff. HOWEVER general consensus is that a "momma's boy" is incompetent at household chores etc since he relies on his mother for those things.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 07:13 AM
0

you're forgetting that "sunk cost fallacy" is a real thing that lots of people have
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/25 07:03 AM
5

yeah but there's plenty of us who choose to differentiate between fantasy and reality
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/25 12:24 PM
5

my parents have been happily married for so long because they meet each others standards and enjoy doing things together. i wouldn't say the enthusiasm level is the same but they definitely enjoy doing most things together. if you want a genuinely happy lasting relationship, you should use couples like my parents as a guide.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/25 03:51 AM
3

i think of it more along the lines that if someone is like me, i find it hard to tell the difference if someone was being nice/friendly to me because they are actually a nice person - or if they're doing it because they want to date
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/25 01:14 AM
26

depends. i prefer people to be honest and upfront around me. i wouldn't date a bad boy any more than i would date a nice guy. but that's because i'm too old for mind games - got too much going on to bother.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 08:24 AM
36

hard to say. i work in customer service so my niceness to customers is literally just that, a performance. i'm a completely different person around my friends. so niceness as a performance is being disingenuous to the people whose opinions would actually matter
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/25 06:51 AM
1

are there any books you've read on that aspect of psychology recently? (not the silly PUA stuff), i find it kinda fascinating
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:41 AM
3

just curious, do you study psychology?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:29 AM
-2

i went to a all girls school. lots oof ladies were single all through that time. quite a few are happily married now.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/02/25 05:28 AM
1

wrong. my dad is the head of a science department at a local university. he is actually one of the nicest and most popular members of the faculty. you can be a good person without being a asshole and still get ahead
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 08:09 AM
2

depends on the couple. my parents make an effort to go on dates and look good. so they're still happily married. i can't speak for anyone else
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:13 AM
2

because it's what people actually mean when people say "entitlements in a relationship" like sure you can date someone, but they'll never meet 100% of what your ideal person is, simply because that person doesn't exist
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:11 AM
5

well there's other factors too - stress is a known libido killer, as are certain medications. if you aren't aware of most factors, i'd say you're either very young or lacking in life experience
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 05:09 AM
2

dunno about you but i get a lot of help from coworkers i was nice to at my previous jobs. if you can't get that, then you don't know how to network properly.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:57 AM
3

i see it more as imbalance of expectations. dating is the part where you find out if you can actually meet each other's expectations of what a relationship should be. they can both stop dating if they find out that they can't / won't meet it.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:53 AM
3

assuming you are acting in good faith - what it means is you are not entitled to sex with your SO when they are sick /injured etc. frankly if you were someone who would insist on sex in that situation, it says way more about your lack of character than it would about theirs
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:36 AM
3

depending on the country, even couples where both work and pay taxes can still get government assistance. my parents did re childcare costs for me and my brother when we were in preschool.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/25 04:34 AM
1

well duh it's an options thing. plus dating apps tend to be based on image - and no offence to most dudes out there, but even the best looking of average dudes can look like shit in a bad photo
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/25 09:40 PM
1

i think it's a good idea. it's why my parents are still happily married for 40 years - my parents love hanging out together. it's not in a who plans the dates sense but more in a hang out together sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 06:55 AM

i'm a gamer myself so i personally don't see the problem with it. you do you hon
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:25 AM

why? d&d is catching on. my students have mentioned d&d clubs being set up at their schools now.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/25 03:20 AM
1

unless you live somewhere extremely religious / conservative, it's very unusual to live somewhere where people of opposite genders are not friends. i live in one of the most lgbt friendly cities in my country. it's very diverse where i am. i'm guessing it's not the case for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 03:49 PM
2

i'm a lady. myself and my friends occasionally give each other handmade gifts (in most cases simply because we're all artists and like to make things anyway). i have friends that are male and female (some gay, lesbian, some not) so someone like me would clearly be incompatible with someone like you, simply because you would be uncomfortable with the fact my friendships are diverse in gender and sexual preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 07:16 AM
3

are you a gamer? if so, you need to think of it as min/max stacking qualities. where looks is low, charisma needs to be high. simply because making friends and seduction is similar to a persuasion roll (for the d&d analogy)
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/25 07:10 AM
2

not necessarily attraction thing - girls are raised to see guys that other ladies are happy to hang out with as "safe". most of the guys i'm friends with started out as friends of my female friends (i'm a lady)
/r/PurplePillDebate10/02/25 01:25 AM
4

to keep the shoe analogy - often when going shopping with the goal of buying shoes, i've already googled and done my research on the shoes with their purpose in mind (ie dance shoes are a pain to get right. as are gym shoes)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/25 03:30 AM
3

mummy issues are a thing too, last i heard
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 01:09 PM
7

in my friendship group one girl in her 20s did date a guy in his 40s-50s. she had BLATANT daddy issues - she's since broken up with him and in therapy now.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 04:12 AM
11

these days we call that "daddy issues" or has the term been changed to something else?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/02/25 03:16 AM
1

he's not that far yet but only because his ideal girlfriend doesn't exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/25 04:29 AM
3

i actually know someone who fits no 2 to a T. i got him onto AI since he kept asking for stuff for free :D
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 03:33 AM
3

here's the thing any therapist/psychologist will tell you - that inner discomfort will never go away, at least due to external factors. it's very much an internal thing you need to work on yourself
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 03:25 AM
5

fellas...is it gay to enjoy having sex with a woman? ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 02:48 PM
6

vibrators come in all shapes and sizes honey ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 12:33 PM
7

i remember my ex liking it when i used my vibrator on him so it's not like vibrators necessarily replace anything.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 11:52 AM
1

depends on your culture i guess. apparently in mine, any girl that asks a guy out on a date is perceived as promiscuous.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 10:11 AM
1

depends on how they're raised. i have a healthy relationship with my dad. he always taught me to never directly ask a guy out because the guy in question will see it as "easy sex". i would not be surprised if other girls received a similar lesson from their own parents.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/25 02:25 AM
1

i see. it does sound like a very passive approach. i don't expect a guy to make a good "leader" in any relationship if he expects most of the leading for activities to be done by the other person.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 02:58 PM
1

you're assuming that you're so desirable physically that women will chase you? out of the guys i know i can only list 3 that maybe the ladies of my group might be willing to ask out first and that's only if copious amounts of alcohol is involved
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 07:17 AM
1

i've had people interested in my brother hit on him right in front of me as i was making introductions. so yeah, people do hit on people they think are hot.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/01/25 06:50 AM

probably. i'm part of the art/science crowd so i usually feel nothing when i look at a naked body. i can accept aesthetics but the desire bit is beyond me
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 05:50 AM

i don't. obesity is a killer. i don't think extreme anything is a good thing. however if you shame a pregnant woman for being fat, i'd say you're the one with the problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 04:50 AM

and that's OK. i just don't think it's OK to shame people for liking what they like (unless it's non-consensual)
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 04:46 AM

well we all have particular traits we like. i have a friend that loves beards on guys. i don't. so it makes girls' nights easy for us to play wingman
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 04:42 AM

YOU'RE not attracted to fat women. instagram and OF statistics suggest otherwise
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 04:40 AM

if i recall, the fat positivity thing has male members too. plus it's unfair for people who are attracted to fatter people to be public about their attraction. and no one likes being the "secret SO" in the lgbtq crowd male bears are very much a thing. you're viewing things way too much in a hetronormative way.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/01/25 04:30 AM
5

ironically i first heard the term "spinning plates" from the manosphere
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/25 02:59 AM
4

i'm convinced they see shows like "love island" and think it's a reflection of real life
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/25 02:57 AM

you're forgetting that most of the males on subs like this one are more likely to be teens / early 20s themselves. so it's not a shock that they look down on older women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/01/25 11:55 AM
1

that...doesn't make sense? if human population in general is 50/50 male and female. then doesn't that mean you also get a equal gender split for people of voting age?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 03:07 AM
7

i have really sensitive skin so tret is something i can't do often at risk of damaging my skin. i'm also sensitive to eyelash glue so it's better for me to rely on mascara than use falsies/eyelash extensions. i'm also someone who loves lipstick but i also know it's not always work appropriate/ everyday thing. i reckon it just depends on the person
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 02:59 AM

yeah i've run out of fingers and toes to count the number of girls i knew in high school those kinda things happened to.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 02:24 AM
0

i've been single for most of my life as a lady. as has most of my female friends. we've all been judged on our looks since childhood. you're not really disproving my point.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/24 04:04 PM
-2

that's not an issue. lots of really close female-female friendships border on lesbianism without crossing the line. if in a western country in 2024/2025 being judged on minor homosexuality traits shouldn't be a thing anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/24 04:03 PM
-1

yeah but there's nothing stopping those guys from seeing a therapist like i do
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/24 04:01 PM
-3

hahahaha! since when? i'm a millenial and i've had the "only beautiful princesses get a happily ever after" shoved down my throat since i was in kindy
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/24 04:05 AM
-2

i'm kinda curious why guys don't offer emotional closeness to their male friends? is it a generational/cultural thing, since as far as i can tell, my brother does have those kinda things with his male friends. personally i think there are things i refuse to discuss even with my friends, which is why i have a therapist
/r/PurplePillDebate30/12/24 04:03 AM
1

the worst case scenario of sex is pregnancy and STDs. the worst case scenario of dinner? food poisoning / bad food it doesn't compare in magnitude based on how bad it can get. so the current dynamic works out fine in a risk/reward thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 01:01 AM
1

do you think sex is a mutual pleasure activity or not? if not, then your argument holds water. if you do think sex should be a mutual pleasure activity, then i don't blame people for opting out of sex simply because orgasms are never a guarantee for women every time, like it is for men. personally i don't get why someone would want to have sex if they knew they had higher odds of not having a good time. if you think sex should be guaranteed for payment (ie meal), well prostitution is legal in my…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 03:38 PM
1

well i'm asexual/demisexual - so it's always been hard for me to find compatible dates. i honestly seriously considered becoming a nun at one point apart from the fact i'm not religious. so i'm the wrong person to ask that question to. it's probably a case by case basis thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 03:31 PM
1

i like guys who are upfront about the sex thing. it makes things a lot easier to know if we're on the same page or not. personally i don't see anything wrong with being honest upfront.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 03:18 PM

lots of romance movies and novels exist already. one would assume based on that that the propaganda for romantic relationships already exists in the thousands.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 11:59 AM
1

so how would you know the difference if it was a "date" vs friendly hangout if you act exactly the same way around friends? i'm a tad AuADHD so i've never known the difference i literally assume every hang out is of the platonic kind until further notice.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/24 08:17 AM

the only lady i knew in person who might be that was also weirdly religious. (some bizarre sect of christianity) so it's possible said dude is also weirdly religious?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/12/24 03:10 AM
1

yeah. i'm getting the impression that they go on these dates without discussing split bills first? like that's a normal thing to mention when friends hang out so why should it be a problem when hanging out with anyone else?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 11:24 AM
3

does he not have female friends/ relatives who are willing to be brutally honest?

the main reason i think OLD doesn't reflect real life is simply because the profiles work like giving your CV as a job applicant. it has very little reflection on how you are in person or what you will be like long-term somewhere.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/12/24 01:46 AM

hard to say. i know ladies who've broken up with their SOs after the paternity test proved that the kid was the SO's because they couldn't stand the dude's paranoia. plus it's not like those tests are cheap. so who foots the bill for it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/24 03:54 AM

golden era hollywood liked women with hourglass figures mainly. not sure what you mean by "thin" exactly
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 03:40 PM

everyone was thin 100 years back due to malnutrition. have you never picked up a history book?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 01:16 PM

whereabouts? i'm a sydneysider and i've never been on a date where i didn't pay for my own meal myself
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 12:11 PM

i think of it like if a guy asks his SO for a paternity test, then he already thinks she's cheating on him. which assuming she is 100% loyal then you can't blame her for being pissed off at him too.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 12:07 PM

sounds like an american thing? people tend to a bit more egalitarian re who pays for what in australia.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/24 09:05 AM

dunno about the paternity test thing per se, but my parents raised me to believe that if you genuinely don't trust someone enough to be 100% sure the baby is yours, maybe you shouldn't have sex/get that person knocked up in the first place.

at the moment in most states if you ever end up in hospital, your married legal partner is the one that gets priority for visitation. if you're not, the hospital can keep them from visiting. take from that what you will
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 01:37 PM

that's so sweet. i aspire to have that kinda relationship (hopefully before i'm 70)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/12/24 02:46 AM

it's amazing how many dudes i know in their 20s already have beer bellies. when i was a kid it was mostly a men in their 50s thing.

ohhhh that stevie nicks song albatross makes so much more sense now. thank you
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 01:33 PM

that's the first time i've heard the word "albatross" used in that context. you mean someone who is involved but not really, right?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 01:24 PM

is he a good boyfriend now that you're together though?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 12:59 PM

why do you think that? radfems maybe but i imagine you'd be fine with a normal one

SA is way more common that people think, I just need to mention it to my irl female friends, at least 50% of said friends have experienced some version of SA. the truth is simply that they're mainly unreported.

my dad works in robotics. the government is throwing money at universiy robotics departments for making robots for working on infrastructure. miners are increasingly being replaced by robots. soon men won't be needed for mining nor infrastructure.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 04:03 PM

that being said, you should want your SO to want you. i think looks are important but not that important for a SO. ie. the hottest dude in my friendship group is also ridiculously boring conversationalist. pretty much none of the ladies in the group want him for a SO because of that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 07:12 AM
0

so do women so it's not that weird a concept.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 06:28 AM

i agree. i like taking pictures for memory keeping but i do have a friend who loves taking pictures to the point everyone else becomes too tired. she drives me up the wall to the point hanging out with her gets ruined by the photography aspect. that being said, this is a very specific lady. my other female friends aren't nearly as bad as her.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 05:49 AM

i'm someone trying to be more social in general. i'm finding planning for events in general is almost always a logistical nightmare (because of all of the much needed renovations being done to the infrastructure)
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/24 04:29 AM

i'm impressed by people who can. it's one thing to have a packed schedule. but constant event planning is a logistical nightmare

to be fair, depending on what the company does, it can be boring. unless someone is business minded and interested in running a company too. i hardly ever discuss my job with my friends, simply because they're not interested in what the company i work for does. juicy office gossip though, that keeps their interest.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/12/24 02:17 AM

in the art community, we occasionally have live nude model events for artists to practice. it's basically the case of seeing a nude figure irl so often that the fact the person is nude doesn't faze you anymore.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 12:54 AM
6

you're right. i live in a area that is pretty popular with senior citizens. if someone were to have an accident, it's always a lady that's more likely to stop and check up on the person, not men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/24 12:09 AM

well two of the biggest manosphere dudes i know irl actually confuse real life with anime rules and have extreme delusions of grandeur. so there's that.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/12/24 03:00 AM

it's the incessant black and white thinking i mainly noticed. a lot of their theories don't allow for context and nuance.

i believe that's what you call a "gold digger" ;)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 03:43 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate07/12/24 03:42 AM

that probably differs by country and culture too. e.g a traditional man by asian standards is different from a traditional man by western standards etc. religion too - some Christians believe on staying virgins till marriage, some do not. i live in a very multicultural city so there is no set social script simply because there's so many expectations for each culture.

i do actually cook for my brother from time to time so your point is moot. I've also done his laundry on occasion when he needed my help. i'm pretty infamous in my family for overestimating amounts when cooking so i always end up cooking a lot when i do happen to cook.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 02:08 PM

why is calling someone out for being hopeless and irresponsible, aggressive? if my literal blood relative can't protect me when i need it, there's no point other women suffering the same fate of someone with a reputation for being irresponsible. that being said, i usually don't need his help. i used to play softball and have a decent right hook.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 11:06 AM

it depends. asian men are expected to be able to be "providers" in the red pill sense, or he's just not desirable to anyone - especially if the girl gets that kinda messaging from her parents. re the dude i responded to, women do talk. if my brother refused to help me out in a situation where i needed a "guy" in a protective role, i'd tell every girl he brought home that he's unreliable in a protective sense and i wouldnt blame her if she dated someone else. luckily my brother does help us out w…

"script"? the only script i've every had to follow was for work phone call purposes. the reason we had to follow a script was so if the company ever got sued by the customer, they'd be more in the legal right that it wasn't the company that said anything wrong. real conversations between friends and people you know outside of work aren't legally binding.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/12/24 01:01 AM

depends on the lady. maybe the dude in question has "let himself go"? other than that, there's demisexual types that really need to know a person for a long time before developing any kind of attraction.

the funny part is i don't know any ladies irl of millenial and younger that sees having a SO as a status symbol. usually when they do have a SO both are around the same social status and occupation level.

what do you think a sugar baby is?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/24 08:02 AM

guys see women as a status symbol. there's a reason "trophy wife" is still a trope. it shouldn't be a shock that it goes the other way too.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/11/24 03:17 AM

dunno where you're at but mine only allows that for preschoolers. in my state you need to be a supervised teacher for a long time before they let you teach a class by yourself.

well the legal drinking age in the US is 21. so there's that. feel free to bring it up with a PHD scientist if it makes you unhappy.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 10:56 AM
4

personally, i think it's only weird if the younger person is under 25. because according to my neurologist buddy, the human brain matures around age 25. under 25. even 3-year age gaps can be a huge difference simply due to the expectations from their grade at school. i say this as a schoolteacher.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 10:53 AM

yeah! i follow these grandmas that teach come really good craft techniques. they're super helpful for DIY stuff.

there's a book/documentary out by some of the duggar girls. it paints a really grim picture of what life was really like. you should look them up.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/11/24 05:16 AM
3

well that's fair. i find nothing desirable about a guy who can't have a conversation with a lady without trying to have sex with her. like my dog was like that so i had him neutered.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 12:48 PM
3

that's unhealthy to me. my parents encourage each other to hang out with friends all the time. they also occasionally go on double dates with their also married friends. i think it's one of the reasons my parents recently celebrated their ruby wedding anniversary.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 08:29 AM
4

just curious, what's your age? (you don't need to be exact). is asking people out on dates not really a "thing" anymore?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 08:26 AM
2

nah. we do know. that's why the 4B movement is gaining traction and increasing in popularity.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 07:09 AM

for me it's more like being expected to live out a media trope that was the most egregious. which one is it for you?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/11/24 01:29 PM
1

probably not. i'm the type that values a good conversation though, so it was probably one of those nights where i didn't meet anyone who was also into good conversations.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 11:08 AM
2

honestly i like the fact that they're upfront about it. it saves time, since it's clear that we're not looking for the same thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 05:23 AM
1

well there's the psychological factor to consider. ie. rape fantasy seems popular amongst the religious women i know. it probably links to the fact that if they're taught that having sexual desires is wrong their whole lives, then they like the idea of that onus being upon the other person when they do engage in said existing sexual desire.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 05:19 AM
3

if i makes you feel any better, i was at a bar with a friend on friday. lots of men looking for short term stuff (and quite a few drunk idiots with wedding rings on still looking for hookups). we're in sydney, so i'm starting to think it's a common thing re men these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 05:15 AM

sheesh! i wouldn't be able to do that! just imagine the size of the phone bill! i admire your patience
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 04:48 AM

do you find location/race plays a role too? or is it more across the board?
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 04:47 AM

that's what it means to be objectified, yes. for people to only ever see the outside (ie the body) and never consider the mind inside that body.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/24 02:23 AM
20

i'd say it's like guys expecting me to be their real life "manic pixie girl" when what i actually have is a bad case of adhd. like yes, i am creative, impulsive, and energetic sometimes - but i'm also forgetful, messy, prone to overexposure to sensations etc. they see the positive but refuse to acknowledge that it comes with the negatives
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 03:20 PM

however given that the FDA and other quality control organisations had their influence stripped by trump... i can't imagine anything created actually being any good
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 08:53 AM

ironic given that trump himself has mentioned it a few times re imported goods
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 08:46 AM

well i'm australian. most australians have never liked trump so i do find it interesting where the info where americans think other countries are jealous comes from.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 07:36 AM

i find the economy one ironic. tarriffs are paid by the consumer. trump stripped the FDA of a lot of their controls. i kinda expect more americans to die due to lower quality goods at this point.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 07:06 AM

i do. ie none. i like being left alone when outside the house. i extend the same courtesy to them. that's why things are somewhat better in australia :)
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 04:45 AM

well myself and my female friends do compliment our male friends within our friendship group - like when they dressed up for an event, or brought up a cake they'd made themselves to our club meeting. we are a very liberal mix-gender book club in australia though. i dunno what group and gender dynamics are like in your area.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 02:15 PM
3

i compliment my male friends occasionally if i think they dressed nice etc. same way i do for my female friends. most of my male friends dress exactly the same way every time i see them, which is why it's an occasional thing. if you mean other types of compliments, a quick poll of my female friends is that we have different "types" so you'd need to appeal to a specific type of lady for those compliments i think. eg. one like skinny beanpole types, another likes beefy types, the hipster one likes…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 04:00 AM
10

just go on grindr. according to my gay buddy, he gets flooded with compliments on there.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 03:23 AM

if by "pursue" you mean be the one that actually suggests dates, then i know a couple dudes like that in my friendship group. last time i checked, they're still single. if you mean by people already in a couple where the lady is the one that plans dates. that's my parents' dynamic. it works for my parents though because my dad pays for everything they do, and its not like the events are always cheap ones.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 02:14 AM
7

just be honest and say you don't actually like women. the reason my parents are happily married 30 years is because they are each other's best friend and actually enjoy spending time just hanging out together. my dad has many friends that are men and women. same with my mum.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/10/24 06:16 PM

girls who don't do clubbing can easily be found at hobby clubs. i'm in a few hobby clubs and there's lots of female members. i can't believe clubbing is literally the only option you have in your area for meeting people.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/24 03:34 AM

he can choose not to date those women. just like women choose not to date a guy that wastes his money on OF.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 03:57 PM

his reasoning is anecdotal too. i'm just surprised he thinks there's no women into maths when the STEM dept of most universities i know have plenty of women who are into maths.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 03:54 PM
1

i'm part of a mixed gender friendship group. most of us are single so i know that it's not necessarily a gendered thing. ditto that you can have friends of the opposite sex and still struggle with dating. BUT yeah, there are hopeless cases where the person struggles both with friendships and with dating.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 06:46 AM
6

really? my dad works in the engineering dept of a local uni. there's lots of women there.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 06:37 AM

i agree with that. i live in a country where prostitution is legal AND depression is prevalent enough that there's posters in every public bathroom mentioning mental health. so it's checkmate to his bizarre statement.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 04:43 AM

margaret atwood herself actually references real historical events that the things that have happened in the book are based on. it's art pulling inspiration from life, not the other way around.
