Wow. You can literally apply this to so many scenarios.

Just like when we entered the work force and male dominated fields. They became more hostile with women in general, “equal lefts and right”(hitting), 50/50, the rise of violent sex etc. They are threatened because we can consistently outperform them.

Or like the old trope of the bread winning wife. He cheats to feel superior to her.

Hm makes me want to only vet higher status men.

I referenced this study recently because it rings so true and is applicable in other situations. I work in tech and the men who are rude to me consistently do not know what the fuck they're doing. It's to the point that when a man is rude to me, I just assume he sucks at his job, I don't take it personally at all.

I am a female gamer so unfortunately I encounter lots of male gamers that show interest in me because I’m “not like other girls” eyeroll. They are so incredibly fragile and sexist when you beat them at games.

The last guy I entertained was a gamer and he got upset that a super popular game franchise is rumored to have a female protagonist in their next game. I got up and left during his misogynist rant and blocked him as I walked to my car. If he only knew how unattractive it was to see a grown ass man have a breakdown over something as insignificant as a game. They act like literal children when it comes to women in video games and women that play video games.

You never see a HVM complain about successful women. Or a rich man about a golddigger.

The only thing that surprises me here is the fact that they actually do know how LV they are and what the picking order is.

I honestly don't get men at all... From all the male acquaintances/friends I had in my life, the only one who wasn't constantly low key flirting etc., was non stop competing with me. Making everything a competition, literally everything! He had always done everything first, better or at least could give me tips and mensplain. Hell, we once both took a pop culture quiz online and I scored higher (I didn't even care lmao) and he was like "oh I'm just having a bad day" yeah okay ... so exhausting 😴

General rule of thumb, and I know correlation ≠ causation, but in my limited time playing multiplayer online games and during the times I played team sports in mixed gym class (mixed = boys and girls together) I have made one observation for myself.

In online games the good players never screamed, never yelled at their team mates and never degraded the women in their teams. But you know who did? The terrible players.

And in gym class whenever we played soccer (and we did a lot, because Europe), the boys who played in the youth professional leagues never threw tantrums, never screamed at the girls for ”not doing their part“ and were great team players. It was the fat gamer boys (the ones who were out of breath from running one simple lap around the soccer field and who couldn’t pass the ball If their lives depended on it) who threw tantrums, called the girls ”weak, stupid wh-res“ and even went as far as PHYSICALLY ASSAULTING some girls after class because their team lost.

Luckily, in both scenarios, those weaklings always faced consequences for their actions by either getting kicked from matches, getting benched or even getting suspended.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that great/professional people don’t have to tell you that they’re great, they show it through their actions. And I believe that applies to both HVM and HVW.

Finally I got an answer!

I have been wondering for a while why is that male customers are rude to female employees to the point of punching the table and screaming, but as long as a male employee shows up, they calm down immediately and behave as if they were only upset because the female coworker provoked them.

Now I get it.

I've been trying to ask it around on reddit in male communities, but guess what? My posts were deleted assuming I was judging all men are like that. I mean, I just asked why SOME men act like that, but still couldn't get to post it.

I’m not sure if this is related. But I’m kind of weary of guys that have only women as friends. I’ve found those guys don’t actually just prefer women as friends. They actually respect men more. And they will be an overall terrible “friend” to a woman unless she gives him sex. But loyal as a dog to a man.
