Yesss 🙌. My ethics are what drive me. It’s impossible for me to sit by and not challenge the men in my life (family, colleagues etc) to be better. I’m like a referee who blows the whistle or hands out red cards when I see men acting out of line. I do it for myself primarily, because I respect myself too much not to. And secondly because it sets an example to those around me that they are worthy of this much self-respect too. Unless my safety is at stake, I legit cannot be a bystander, my ethics …

Her husband prob knows. Men know when their partners have orbiters. If he knew this guy was going on the trip and didn’t come, I’m guessing he doesn’t care or they’re already on the way to breaking up.

Same. Let’s be real if she’s this casual about cheating I’m sure it isn’t a secret in their marriage. Why wasn’t her husband invited on her birthday trip to begin with?

Men will spend a lottttttt more than $200 to impress a woman on a first date. But, your expectations should be proportional to their income. Also, it isn’t always a “green flag”. Plenty of LVM have a shit ton of money and buy $200 bottles for every woman they’re trying to sleep with.

Someone on this sub wrote that it’s an anti-social trait, and that resonated deeeeeeeeeply. Doing this pushes others away bc conversations are how we relate to one another.

right what the fuck did he buy for her that cost more than $300? did he not have a mattress or couch already? i hope they didn't get a place together and he put up the money for first, last + security deposit and she's paying him back for that.

oh god you just described the partners of like 10 women i know. it's so true what you said. it's one thing to be a desperate pickme for a dude who at least is extraordinary in some way, bc at least there's something about him worthy of admiration that might actually enrich her life. but it is never the case. Another poster here wrote a comment a couple weeks ago with another great argument against the “sex work is just like any other job” narrative. If sex work were just like any other job, then why can’t sex workers put it on their resume? So odd how you never see “Sex Worker, 2019-2021” on people’s LinkedIn profiles. Wonder why that is? When sex workers do their taxes, how do they report their income? Do they have 401ks?

It’s even worse when it’s a boyfriend. I have one friend right now who I’ve been giving so much career coaching to in an area that I have years of expertise in. She’s been grateful and listened to my advice the whole time until very recently when she was offered a new position without an increase in pay. I strongly advised her to seek more info about the role, negotiate for more money, and to have the courage to walk away from the offer if they weren’t willing to be transparent or increase the c…

You can trust your instincts, we don’t know your relationship. But I would probably be side eyeing my bf if he sent this to me and he hadnt achieved all of his financial goals yet. The jokes are just the comedians observations. Personally I find them aligned with my own, so in that way they were funny. Many men really are the way the comedian described. But not all. I think it doesn’t matter if your bf secretly believes he’s settling with you, it matters more if you think you’re settling with hi…

I didn’t until I heard this Lizzo song, it’s been my anthem for a legit year now. It never gets old. Whenever I’m feeling lonely it always grounds me. When I’m having a great day, it elevates my mood even higher. It’s my favorite song to listen to on the way to the gym and while working out. Damn now I wanna listen to it again today (for the 2nd or 3rd time). Yessssssss. I made a comment about this the other day; “no one is coming to save me” was THE mantra that got me through the most trying years of my life. It was a complete mindset shift, and taught me to depend on myself. It was what separated me from so many others. I dumped so many friends during this phase of my life bc they were all desperately hoping, waiting, expecting to one day be saved - that if they were worthy enough, a man would come and fix all their problems, whether he was a roman…

I feel like it’s supposed to be romantic or something. It’s almost always used to illustrate how much of a devoted, self-sacrificing wife a woman is (“She gave him 4 beautiful children and he still cheated on her”). My personhood is not a vehicle by which men become fathers. Our identities should never be reduced to “baby givers”.

This is why I despise hanging out with my coworker’s partner too. He turns every conversation into an intellectual wrestling match and it is SO draining. It isn’t enough for me to tell him “I see where you’re coming from” or “Agree to disagree”. He legit will not fucking stop until I’m exhausted and say shit like “ok sure whatever” or “fine I guess” just to shut him up.

same. phrases like these are meant to show humility and to disarm. if you're speaking with someone who understands that, and you use them with confidence and charisma + pair with great listening skills, you'll come across as a super intelligent, excellent conversationalist.

true. context definitely matters, like who your audience is and what your objective is. in the healthy, respectful environment that i work right now both men and women speak this way, to each other and to mixed gender groups. diplomatic is definitely the word. however, i've worked in toxic, boomer-y environments where i was forced to speak this way as a survival strategy bc a woman being direct was emasculating to the men.

They wrap it up very well in the last episode talking about what Sarma saw in him, and I think there’s an excellent lesson in it for women. Sarma was in major debt, she owed her restaurant investor $2 million. Enter Anthony. This guy is dumb as hell, but mysteriously rich. Sarma opens up to him about her debt, and he tells her he could easily pay it off for her. Sarma thought he would save her, but he ended up destroying her. The lesson? No one is coming to save us. This comment is amazing and I agree 100%. Especially about the ex part. Men will think less of us if we tell them our ex was a piece of shit. They’ll assume it means we don’t think highly of ourselves if we accepted bad treatment. Plus, because they barely know us it makes us sound angry and like we have unprocessed trauma (which it is ok to be and to have, but save those conversations for your girlfriends). The only dating app I've ever liked has a $100/month subscription fee. It weeds out a lot of LVM, but as any dating app (and society in general) it is still 98% LVM. My best friend recommended it to me after meeting her bf on it. I reluctantly tried it out, not expecting much but putting in my 60 daily swipes just so I could feel like I was doing something to meet men. It’s definitely a legit reason to start an LDR. Especially if they earn enough money that you can see each other frequently in the meantime until you can be together permanently. Yup this is extremely common. The reality is the only way for a “””sugar baby””” aka prostitute to get out of the game herself is by recruiting other women in and becoming their madame/pimp. Plus, “””sugar daddies””” usually will push their “””sugar babies””” to recruit more women in to entertain their business associates, a lot of times in order to blackmail them/trauma bond. For example, a chick I knew who did this had a “””sugar daddy””” that would do a big vacation trip every year with busin…

I noticed recently that Etsy is extremely pornified. I know it always used to be a place to buy niche “fetish” clothing, but I was searching for handmade crochet bikinis the other week and I genuinely felt like the models in some of the photos I saw were legit trafficked women. It was really disturbing. They didn’t even censor labia in some photos. It felt like some perverts discovered that the platform could be used as a workaround for getting past porn censors.

The sad part is that it was only after gaining this sense of newfound freedom that I was able to fully realize just how much I was suffering before. Then it dawned on me that men only know this freedom. This is what male privilege feels like. And they take it for granted. They know from childhood that they can reproduce for their entire lives. They don’t have to rush or worry about if they’ll meet some…

Lol a former friend of mine is an “escort”/“sugar baby” aka prostitute. She recruited some girls to go with her to Vegas for a trip with her sugar daddy and some of his business associates. At some point one of the girls fell unconscious from drugs they were doing. Do you know how the men reacted? Instead of calling an ambulance they started WIPING THE SUITE DOWN TO REMOVE THEIR FINGERPRINTS. And this was a “funny story” the former friend used to tell all of the time.

I’m sorry about your sister :(. She must be so scared. The worst parts about HPV are that there is no way to test men for it (unless they have warts, which most do not). So even if a man gets tested for STDs regularly, he has no way of knowing if he has HPV or not. And then the other worst thing is that apparently you can get HPV just by kissing. Hopefully this information can give you and your sister some peace ❤️. I hope she is ok.

The reason they don’t message first is because they think a woman who messages first = a woman who will put out sooner. It’s the same thought process they use in a bar. A woman who approaches a guy in a bar = a woman who is DTF that night. This is why I never, ever message or approach first. I would rather never date again than use Bumble. That app, while originally well-intended, is pro-LVM and anti-woman in practice.

Same. I always thought that show sucked. 4 privileged white women in NYC woooo cool who gives a fuck. And idk if this is true but I was always told that the writers were gay men? So it’s a show about women written by men… trash as fuck.

😭 a lot of women started watching it so incredibly young (myself included). I fully think my brain wiring is fucked up from it. I haven’t watched porn in a while now but I hope my brain eventually rewires. The issue is that all of our media is so pornified now. I’ll be watching a show on Netflix with elements straight out of a porno and it has the same effect on my brain as a relapse.

Plus it isn’t just boys and men who are addicted to porn and suffer the mental consequences. How many of us were hooked on porn at a young age? It really is as bad for your health as a drug addiction and there are basically no laws regulating it. They don’t even put a warning on porn sites so that users know what they’re getting into.

ugh as a vegan i can tell you that a lot of men are emasculated by women who have strong values/ethics/ideals that differ from them. they see our values as something to overcome/control/dominate/change and take every opportunity they can to get into an intellectual debate about them.

If you know where the town that they lived in with their wife, you can find property records which can show a lot. For example, you’ll be able to see if they bought the house together and if at any point ownership was transferred to just the ex wife. You can usually find their known addresses by just googling their name and the town they live in. Then you’ll be able to find property records by googling their name and address together.

I know a few normal married couples that met on dating apps, Tinder included (which blows my mind). I think in all of those instances the woman was really committed to being married in a certain timeframe. It can be done but it sounds like a full time job going on that many dates and chatting with that many guys.

In the first lecture of my first women’s United States history class, we learned about this. How the men in power in the late 1800s/early 1900s had research that showed college educated women were unlikely to marry and therefore would be unavailable to reproduce the next generation of white men to keep the hegemonic mechanisms of society that kept them in power in place. For realsies, their biggest concern was white Christian people becoming a minority bc then the whole power structure they put …

in my experience it's like 1/500 men who are willing to wait under your terms (which are also my terms). this one vetting strategy alone disqualifies most men so i get it out of the way very early on and find a way to organically bring it up in conversation to let them know that i'm not down for sex without commitment. it has to happen in a regular convo, not when you're both turned on. then i just keep reiterating it in different ways, again in regular conversation - not when we're hooking up o…

they want to be worshipped and get all the benefits of a relationship without having to put themselves at risk THIS. how do they not realize how unsexy this is??? it's soooo obvious, too. you see it all over reddit dating threads: "men want to be approached", "men want women to initiate sex", "men want women to ask for our phone numbers". that role reversal just isn't sexy for most of us. when we have sex, am i going to have to penetrate myself with your dick too?

haha yeah they're not for me personally but i think they make sense for women who are looking to be at the top of their industry. like if you're married to ariana grande or a woman who is a head of state. there was a famous quote from the old head of Xerox where she advised women wanting to prioritize their careers to pick a partner with a much less serious job. i think that power couples are myths. they sound great in theory but in reality men sabotage their partner's careers bc they're competi…

It takes a man EXTREMELY secure in his masculinity to not resent a woman that pursues them. I’ve been plugging this book a ton but it’s on the FDS recommended reading list and relevant bc it’s all about pursuer/pursuee dynamics but everyone should read it. The authors main point is that whoever speaks first is the male energy. The book is called “Getting to I Do”
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/11/21 08:46 PM

Oh yeah. They def want to be chased/pursued by us. I honestly blame it on porn and how the women in porn are always begging men for sex. Even worse if they had a family dynamic where their mother waited on their dad hand and foot and/or their mom babied the shit out of them into adulthood. It’s the biggest turn off ever to me. Some women do enjoy taking on the role of the pursuer, but a lot of guys -even the ones who act like they want to be pursued- end up feeling super emasculated by it.

i highly recommend the book the writer of this article mentions if you haven't read it already. it covers this approach of women pursuing in detail and it's true that it's not a bad thing, but it sets up the relationship for the woman to be in the driver's seat and the man to be in the passenger. this in and of itself isn't a bad thing, tons of relationships are successful this way. but both partners need to understand and accept their roles (either driver or passenger). bc it's a role reversal …

Just my own observations but of the times I’ve been out with women who have insisted on paying for a man, most of them fall into one of two groups: 50% make a ton of money and/or have access to a lot from generational wealth and are trying to impress a guy by showing off how little of a deal money is for them…

I 100% agree. I wrote this in a comment above, but men are addicted to instant gratification and I blame that on porn. They no longer have the stamina to chase or even date. They masturbate daily (or more). It’s absolutely no wonder at all that they lose interest in real women so fast.

Holy shit you just blew my mind. Except for a handful of outliers, all the men I know with good hairlines who did get married are either cheating or divorced o.0

Legit 😭 like why did they even have to invent the term “after care”??? The word “cuddling” already exists ??

Ugh I used to loveee this Instagram page but they promote “healthy” bdsm 🤮. They had like a 10 slide post teaching men about “aftercare” 🤮. The comments made me sick

"my vagina isn't like other girls". i had a good friend like this once. i was talking to her about my pref for big dicks and she was like, "well, i have a really small vagina so i actually prefer small dicks" implying that i must have a big vagina? lol so now when i read super cringe comments like these on reddit, i always think about how these women are using a LOT of words just to say how their teeny weeny delicate little feminine vagina is just sooooo tiny that it just doesn't need more than …

Me too! If I’m sharing a space with others - friends, family, whatever - I feel this IMMENSE guilt if I leave a single water glass in the sink, even if they’re telling me to. I legit get stressed thinking about someone else cleaning it later while thinking about me.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/21 11:02 PM

Dude sameeeeee. It’s just disrespectful. Leaving your filth and expecting your partner to clean it up is akin to taking a shit and leaving it in the toilet for them to flush.

I posted in a couple of threads in FDS about big dicks like 6 months ago and I still get messages every couple of weeks from guys asking me what qualifies as big. I have all of my messages turned off so I don’t understand how these slip through

Dude that’s sooooo cringe. I think a lot of us have been in this type of relationship at some point… it wears you down fast having to be responsible for someone
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/10/21 01:44 PM

Omfg I can relate. I worked remotely so he treated me like his live in nurse, maid, and house keeper. When I had important meetings I’d tell him in advance with many warnings up until the second before it started, but he’d ALWAYS make noise, distract me, and just overall try to sabotage it. I made 2x his salary and was supporting us both. You’d think he would’ve protected my job at all costs?? But no. He wanted me broke like his past girlfriends so he could financially control me 🤮🤮🤮
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 11:31 PM
26

I feel this so hard. WTF IS WRONG WITH THESE MEN?? They really think they deserve to be the center of not one but two women’s universes?? I used to tell my ex that care taking for him felt like being in a relationship with a dying 110 year old. He legit acted like he was fucking dying to manipulate me into staying bc he knew I didn’t have the heart to leave someone who was so sick. Honestly he deserves a damn Oscar for that performance.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/10/21 11:23 PM

YUP same exact thing happened to me. He was drowning me to save himself. My doting on him took so much time that it cost me a promotion at work. If I hadn’t left when I did it probably would’ve cost me my job. I really felt like I had to make the choice between his survival or mine. Not that his “chronic pain” was terminal, but all of his other issues were.

Right it’s just SOOO sleazy. Not to get all conspiracy theorist, but I read rumors that he actually had some kind of drug addiction that kept landing him in clinics. I dated a drug addict once who guilted me into care taking for him by playing up the “severe” and mysterious physical (probably imaginary) pain he was in. In reality he just really enjoyed laying in bed all day and having me take care of ALL of his needs without asking anything from him. BEWARE LADIES of men who whine about any kind…

100%. I cringe sooooooooooo hard when I see her name now bc she took his last name. Like girl your name was your brand and it was a powerful one. Now youre just the wife of some child YouTube star who peaked 10 years ago

I feel like “men’s” in Black Lives Matter is silent, as in it is “Black (Men’s) Lives Matter”. I feel this way bc of the fact that a separate meta movement had to be created “Say Her Name” to bring awareness and attention to black women who are victimized by police. The fact that this movement serves to remind people to care about of the humanity of women is just upsetting.

The FDS breakup and girl power playlists. I honestly listened to them on repeat for months end. I started working out every day while listening to them and I swear to god it completely re-wired my brain in the best way. Yessss thank you for saying this. It’s a myth that women marry into higher social classes. The real Prince Charming is usually a woman who got love bombed into a relationship and then clung to so tightly by a guy who sees her or her family as a resource.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/21 12:03 PM
16

Yessss the first question they always ask me is “is it for the animals or for health reasons?” Like they can cope if it’s for health reasons bc they think maybe they’ll be able to find an alternative diet that gets me the same benefits, but GOD FORBID I don’t eat animals and animals byproducts bc they didn’t consent to becoming my food.

LOL dude so well put. And not just animals but human babies, too. I’m vegan and the way men react when they find out has shown me a lot about how they understand their place in the world to be. I am 100% ok being with a meat/dairy/egg eating partner, but it’s an instant dealbreaker for men bc they HATE talking about ethics and they HATE when women have non-negotiable boundaries for themselves.

Ewwwwww you just made me realize something about myself! I get leered at soooo hard when I’m dressed extremely down and never understood why 🤮. Along these same lines, I dated one tall older pervert who was OBSESSED with my short height. He didn’t want me to wear heels with him…. He wanted me to look as short as possible. He made a comment once about how he loved how he could imagine what I looked like at 21… and at 18.. and at 16 🤮🤮🤮
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/09/21 08:54 PM

It really is insane! They’re extremely sadistic, in a way that I genuinely think is unique to them. Not even genocidal maniacs like Hitler or terrorist groups on holy crusades like Al Qaeda write about the groups of people they seek to exterminate/oppress in this way. Throughout history there have been organized groups of people who believed other groups to be lesser than them, but even they would think Incels are savages. Aside from the most disturbed serial killers, no one else talks like this…

This is how I feel too. I want to be bitter and angry, but that’s how loser LVMs act about money they spend on women. You live and you learn. I reflexively cringe when I think about how much I’ve spent on boyfriends, but I’m trying to stop shaming myself about it.

I’m in the US too but there’s guys from all over the world on it. According to their App Store profile, they’ve been covered by some credible news media (I forget which ones).

It’s called “Luxy”. My advice: 1- be extremelyyyyy picky about who you match with, don’t like anyone who falls short of a single standard. 2- dont message anyone first 3- go to your privacy settings and hide your location + turn off the setting that tells people you’ve viewed their profile. You won’t be swimming in messages or matches this way, but the conversations you do have should actually be pleasant

Agreed, OLD is trash. However, I will say that out of boredom and on the strong endorsement of a good friend, I recently signed up for a dating app with a really expensive monthly subscription fee that’s marketed towards professionals where men are required to include their height, income, and job title (among other things) and it has been really enjoyable in the sense that it’s filled the same void that Fine AF Fridays did where it reminds me that I AM actually attracted to men. So far everyone…

I know, I couldn’t believe it at the time too. We had been dating for a couple of months and having sex, then he took me on a couple of dates but wouldn’t come on to me anymore. We were in his bedroom at his apartment after one date and he was like “the reason I’m not having sex with you anymore is bc you don’t shave”. My mind legit couldn’t compute that I was being rejected lmao and I had to have him explain himself to me like 5 diff ways. At one point I said as a compromise, I’ll get a wax if …

Dude I’ve had fights with multiple guys over my pubic hair! They think they own our crotch when we date them. The first guy REFUSED to have sex with me bc I didn’t shave, saying he took it as a sign I thought I was “too good for him”. The second guy thought it meant a woman didn’t think a man was “worth it” if she didn’t shave her pubes for him.

As someone who used to date older and wealthy af men (but doesn't anymore), I can give my perspective. I went from strictly dating guys my own age to only dating older men when I was essentially groomed into a relationship with a much older man at a time when my mental state was extremely fragile due to leaving an abusive relationship with a guy my own age. When I met this older man, I was not romantically interested in him at all. I did, however, admire him greatly bc of his professional succes…

Great points. When ppl criticize OF or celebrate the site banning porn, weirdos come out of the woodwork to accuse them of encouraging the murder of BIPOC and/or trans ppl who will now have to put their lives in danger by meeting johns IRL. That's not being intersectional or looking at shit through a feminist lens. Being pro-sex industry means supporting the commodification of women and/or marginalized people's bodies. Or in other words, supporting fucking slavery. "Sex work is work" is akin to …

honestly i've given this a lot of thought and i think millennials and gen z were essentially groomed into it on a mass scale. we were all exposed to porn as children on the internet. that's child abuse. we saw things that children shouldn't see, and our little psyches needed to understand it. at that very moment, media companies owned and operated by creepy old men swooped in and sold porn to us as healthy, normal and a valid career path.

same. not to mention how often they get STDs. a SW i knew had to get weekly STD tests bc her clients and her boyfriend all refused to wear condoms. everytime she got an STD, she'd try to enforce a condom-only rule, but it never lasted. she got syphillis, chlamydia, *constant* BV infections... the people at the clinic where she got tested were begging her to go on a preventative drug for HIV and tbh she should've but she was too ashamed to accept it. they knew she was prostituting herself but she…

Dude I knowwww. I have been dying to talk to everyone on this sub about it, the LVM tactics that the fuckboys use to manipulate girls - when they’re successful and when they fail. I’ve spent the last 3 days binging the show, I’m in the last 20 min now.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 08:04 PM
27

It’s worth it seriously. The show frames the fuckboys as the villains they are. It’s so satisfying.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 07:05 PM
68

The show is teaching me a lot about why we shouldn’t get attached or invested in guys before making them wait a longgg ass time. The fuckboys rush to create an artificial connection, exploit the shit out of it and throw HUGE temper tantrums when shit isn’t going their way. The real HVM on the show build slow natural connections, have even tempers, never guilt trip the women.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/08/21 06:46 PM
113

I won’t spoil it but the lying dudes are exposed throughout and I think that’s what makes the show good. The women aren’t fucked over for the viewer’s (and men’s) entertainment. I haven’t seen the last episode yet but from what I’ve read, the biggest deceivers get humiliated. Plus the fuckboys who are kicked off aren’t sent home -they’re punished, and the good guys who are sent home are rewarded. Edit - just watched the last episode and it is SO satisfying

Dude exactly AND it sets this expectation in these guy’s heads that if they eat a girl out, it’ll make up for any other sexual shortcomings or inexperience that they have AND she will want to have enthusiastic sex with them after. Awful, awful sex advice.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/21 07:34 PM
35

Does anyone else cringe suuuuper hard when they see popular sex advice in other subreddits? It's always some guy who is worried about disappointing a new sexual partner and the comments are filled with the same piece of highly upvoted advice: "eat her pussy like it's the first meal you've had in weeks, bro" I may be in the minority here, but being eaten out feels extremely intimate to me, maybe even moreso than penetrative sex and it's not something I want a new partner to jump straight into doi…

in another thread i suggested that we write an open letter to the reddit admins and try to get it published in the Opinion Section of NYTimes, Washington Post, or another other popular and credible outlet. Washington Post recently ran a positive story about FDS so I feel like they would be a good target.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/08/21 03:21 AM

i honestly just let myself have a natural reaction. usually that means responding before anyone else does and with disgust, like "oh. my. god. ew" or "that's fucked up". i dont bother trying to remain composed bc every guy in the room is already watching for my reaction and i don't want them to see me hide my disgust bc i think that will only make them want to get grosser and grosser to find out what would actually be boundary crossing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy14/08/21 04:59 PM

"Going with the flow" is a cope to get you to give up and make the other person's decisions the priority dudeeee you're so right thank u for putting this so succinctly. there are people in my life i trust 100% to make decisions for me, but in general i'm not a 'go with the flow' type of person and others have attempted to shame and guilt trip me for it. it didn't work bc i never thought i was wrong for refusing to risk all of my wants/needs/desires for someone else's.

Dude OnlyFans is the biggest pimp in the world. The women are their customers, not the subscribers. If there are really over 300 women making more than 700,000 British pounds on the site then OnlyFans should be rolling out the red carpet for these women as they’re cash cows. 😂 warning: I’m not glorifying any behavior I’m about to describe in the following comment. I was young and had been abused by men my age so I pretty much swore off of them for years, only dating guys who could provide me with very expensive experiences. It’s so funny to me as a woman who only had relationships with older men in my youth in order to take advantage of their money, bc guys in their 30s were invisible to me. Guys in their 30s who hit on me in my early 20s or late teens were the wors…

Dude SAME and my siblings gaslight me into thinking I’m so irrational. I would rather leave shit unrepaired than open my door to a sketchy nameless dude with access to keys to my apartment and a profession that gives him an alibi for being there. I live alone and I don’t want strange dudes to know that. When the internet guy or a mover comes to bring something I leave the door to the hallway WIDE open and I keep my mom on FaceTime with me. The WORST is when they look around at my apartment and t…

Everyone should read the book that birthed this movement! It’s called “Kim Jiyoung, Born 1982” and it’s a super quick read - like a 2 hour read. It follows the life of a woman and also covers her own mom’s upbringing. It goes into detail of what’s expected for women as far as taking care of their in laws.

Such good questions to explore. I feel like we have to start pushing back in different ways. Too much of the body positivity movement is focused on how women can be sexy at any size, when the message should really be that women don’t have to be sexy, period.

Commenting again bc I feel there’s a lot more to this topic and I’m glad you brought it up. This all makes me think about how interesting it is that when women feel excluded from men’s preferences they internalize those feelings in unhealthy ways too (eating disorders, surgery, general sadness), but not with rage or anger at individual men. The furthest we go is criticizing body standards for women that men declare are the sexiest and that society elevates as the ideal. When women similarly try …

I’m the same exact way. I’m SUPER picky about what kind of media I consume. Our thoughts become our beliefs. I was less picky about music for a long time and I think it for real groomed me to be a perfect pick me. Since listening to the FDS playlists for the first time in February, I realized how disempowering most of my old libfem music was. Now I’m just as picky about music as I am about movies or TV and I swear to god it’s had a huge impact on my mental health.

my theory is that this is why women actresses "age out" so fast in Hollywood. the disgusting misogynist filmmakers and tv producers have to keep finding younger (naive) women who don't have enough power in the industry to refuse sexist scripts and perverted storylines. it's literally the same game as with porn stars.

i LOVE Negative Underwear. I have a million pairs of their cotton high waist french cut and high waist briefs in black. 💯! Unless someone is a literal child or toddler, it is their own responsibility to respect and treat others equally. The onus is not on anyone else to teach an adult how to function. When my dad acts like a useless bumbling man and claims he can’t figure out how to do something my mom asked him to do, I call him out and say “Sure you can. You figure out how to do things at work all of the time without any guidance.”

The show Bridezillas is example after example of this. Pretty much each episode for many seasons is the bride having a nervous breakdown and losing her shit at her bridesmaids who won’t give an unlimited amount of labor to help prepare for the wedding. Speaking from personal experience, it makes sense to convince ourselves we enjoy the hardcore stuff bc we have no tools or resources to give us better coping skills. It’s so hard to find men who will actually commit to a relationship that we think performing like a porn star is a small compromise. It’s not until we’re older and men expect our labor in numerous other forms in return for commitment -cooking, cleaning, paying 50/50 and birthing and raising kids- that we finally wake up and say fuck…

Please leave secretly and avoid telling him that youre leaving. The most dangerous time for a woman is when she’s leaving an abusive partner. I’m speaking from personal experience, too. Take the material things you care about most then quietly and carefully disappear somewhere safe where he can’t find you. Then hide out for a while and keep a super low profile. The worst part for me -and I’m not sure if it works like this in China, but in many other cultures (including my own) it does- is that women aren’t even expected to care for their own elderly parents. They’re supposed to care for their husband’s elderly parents!!! While being abused by them and taking care of their own children too. Fuck that shit. So proud of the women in China for refusing to participate in a terrible tradition.

This reminds me so much of my sister’s neighbor. Her parents bought a condo for her and she lives with an abusive piece of shit who keeps her barefoot and pregnant (4 kids so far in as many years). +1 for family pressure. Even if they aren’t “traditional” in the typical ways (religion, culture), they can still get into women’s heads about being married and having kids before their time is up. Too many moms are out here encouraging their daughters to settle (“don’t be picky”) and derail their lives just for a couple of bio kids. Also, pressure from friends is another big reason why women end up with men who are beneath them. It may come from a good place, but can have horrible consequences.…

This makes so much more sense to me than the American model where the bride’s family is supposed to pay. Oh for sure 100% in agreement. They definitely wouldn’t have failed her on her drug problem alone. I think it was bc she couldn’t hold it together enough for a 10 minute audition and would’ve been an unreliable worker for them to exploit. The whole strip club business model is so messed up.

Exactly. They just want to show off to their friends and prove how much of a desirable manly man they are that they have two women willing to share them. I’m unfortunately speaking from a lot of experience. When youre young and a bisexual woman, porn addicted and ego driven men prey on you and groom you hard. BISEXUAL LADIES: Learn from my mistakes. Don’t tell men that you have an interest in women. Not even after you’ve been dating for years. Just trust me on this one.

The risks are too high without even factoring in the man variable. I completely understand why so many women are choosing to go child free. What I don’t understand is why so many of those women still marry men, since men are just giant children who you never get to stop cleaning and cooking for.

What a piece of shit your ex husband was. You dodged a bullet with him leaving you as I’m sure he would’ve only gotten worse. Your story is SO familiar. I read stories just like it every day on a heavily moderated subreddit exclusively for mothers.

Same dude. I’d rather save my pennies and adopt a kid from an orphanage overseas or foster American kids for years for the chance to adopt one than risk my life and future by letting a man impregnate me. I really think we should normalize women making men sign contracts stipulating that they’ll help with raising the child, housework, pay for the kid’s activities, payment for any special needs the woman has after giving birth if she incurs any injuries etc. and that any breach of the contract mea…

i just learned about all of this after watching Allen vs Farrow on HBO Max! Omg - everyone in this sub needs to watch it. Rant: Woody Allen should be the poster boy for LVM for this sub. Mia Farrow and her daughter Dylan were wronged so badly. Don't get me started on Soon-Yi, Mia's 21 year adopted daughter that Woody basically kidnapped and married after starting an affair with her when she was in HIGH SCHOOL. The fact that he sexually assaulted a 5 year old and he's still allowed to roam this e…

It pains me so much that the legendary bell hooks’ message from her book “Feminism is for Everybody” has been so twisted and appropriated by men and male aligned women 🤬. Like, she meant feminism is a lens that all kinds of oppressed groups could benefit from examining their specific issues with because we’re all oppressed by white capitalist patriarchy. NOT that we should sell men on the idea of feminism by highlighting and emphasizing the ways it would benefit them. Da fuq. Infuriating

Dude exactly. This is why I warn every young woman not to ever work for a man who has a stay at home wife. It’s a huge red flag that he’s going to expect you to work yourself to death and have zero empathy for the fact that youre a working woman AND expected to manage your family’s household too Plus since his wife does everything for him it means he’ll have all the time in the world to be an annoying boss Mothers make the BEST bosses (usually).

$15 for 3 years is basically giving the service away for free. I have sooooo many questions about pornhubs business model and how they actually make any money. The only ads they serve are for other porn services bc no decent advertiser will work with pornhub. Keeping a video streaming site working 24/7 worldwide is costly as hell. I have a feeling they bleed money and it’s some misogynistic psycho’s pet project to fund them.

Seriously. Your post made me think of my god kids - the girl is 5 and the boy is 3. His dad has beat gender into the boy’s head since he was old enough to comprehend it. The kid is still a toddler and he thinks “boy” things are superior to “girl” things. He is disgusted by anything pink or that he associates with his older sister (princesses, dresses, makeup, etc). And the adults around him reinforce that disgust every day.

White women have straight up lied about being raped by black men and consequently sentenced them to a horrible death. In some instances, there was another interesting patriarchal element at play. Southern Horrors describes stories of white women in extramarital relationships with black men, who were found out by the white woman’s husband. He would then lead the lynching along with the racist town. Just thought I’d add bc it’s another way that women have been solely blamed for the inhumane treatm…

I feel like Reddit Corp is a total disaster in terms of product management so I wouldn’t be surprised if the ad spots they sell are totally rudimentary in terms of targeting esp considering how little info is needed to create an account here, but how fucked up would it be if OnlyFans had the ability to blast the teenager & sex worker subreddits with ads like that?

If you interview with men at a company, find out what their wives do for a living. Here's why.. The guys who do attempt this 'traditional' lifestyle for real end up becoming sociopaths at work and make all the women (and men) around them suffer. i used to work w/ so many men who had stay at home wives, and they were all AWFUL BOSSES. all they cared about was hoarding the payro…

this right here is the truth. and if you pay the bill on that first date, you're setting yourself up for 50/50 for life. i know married women who pay 50/50 on the mortgage and all the bills even though they make less money than their husbands. and then men have the audacity (or mandacity lol) to criticize women for being 'bad with money'
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/04/21 04:45 PM

libfem really is just "male and capitalism driven feminism". i think the term libfem needs re-branding to be more accessible to the masses, bc progressive movements like actual feminism are associated with liberalism. like the term neoliberalism is also confusing to those who don't have the education or time to research needed to understand it.

All of my biggest mistakes can be traced back to decisions I made to date. Literally every set back I faced in my life was bc of a boyfriend. I was so brainwashed.

Agreed but I also find it super creepy when guys are pushy about how they 'dont care' if i'm on my period and insist we do it anyway. It's like, let me have a week to rest from sex lol. The absolute WORST is when they suggest a blowjob since they're horny and my vagina is out of service.

I’m pretty sure I learned about it in a documentary featuring Gail Dines. Possibly from the “Killing Us Softly” series? Check out the movies on the director, Sut Jhally’s website: Media Education Foundation. I did an internship there and I’m 100% sure one of his films on porn/imagery of women covered it.

such good advice. my friend started trying (with her same-age husband) in her late 20s and still ran into all kinds of fertility problems. if you're in the US, there are so many environmental reasons why women are becoming infertile younger and younger. her first issue was a cyst in her ovaries/uterus (sorry not sure exactly where it was placed). after that was removed, she still wasn't getting pregnant. has gone through one round of IVF so far, all her tests looked 'perfect', yet still nothing.

millennials and gen z grew up in a porn culture. snapchat basically became a unicorn company (startup valued at $1 bill+) on the value proposition that users (at that time 90% teens and pre-teens/kids) could "securely" share nudes bc all messages are deleted as soon as they are opened. im simplifying their actual business model, but nude sharing is how they got such a huge, loyal and valuable ($$$$) user base so quickly. back then it was an open secret, but now they've built the commercializatio…

Same but also in real life too. I’ll stand up for men when they, as a class, stand up for women. Women’s liberation is completely taboo. Something like 4 women are murdered EVERY DAY by their intimate partner in the US. That’s fucking femicide. When I see all men in the streets protesting all women’s unequal position in society and taking steps to correct it, then I’ll consider standing up for a man.

sameeee. the more money i make, the less interested i am in men. it's a huge part of why i dedicate so much of my free time IRL to helping other women reach highly paid status. what completely boggles my mind are women who have family money and still chase after loser men. but i suppose loser men chase women with money more relentlessly and they still exist in the same patriarchal culture as women with less resources.

the new movies are great. diverse cast and very kid-friendly which i like. it's a cool universe bc there's no rape or sexual assault as a plot line. the only problematic stuff is from the early movies - too few women characters, slave leia (disturbing) and Leia kissing her brother (even though they didn't know they were siblings at the time). otherwise, there's no sexual assault/rape, no coercion, no blood, no toxic masculinity, no racist stereotypes. i also appreciate how they have women and po…

There is a concept called “spirit death” that black feminists coined to describe how it feels to be confronted with racist, sexist micro aggressions day in and day out. I think a lot of us on FDS can relate to that feeling. Whenever I want to give up (which is sometimes daily), I think about incredible women who came before me -or even who live in the present- and what they accomplished with the odds even more systematically stacked against them. You can also do a 3 month bootcamp program instead of a bachelor’s program and get a job in web development, UX or data science/engineering. I know several women who are “escorts” and/or strippers. They are all very open about the fact that when they achieve a certain level of financial security, usually buying a house, they plan to quit. Unfortunately, the lifestyle of an escort is very expensive (they think they have to look extra fancy to charge a high price to their white collar clients). True but they will happily pay the full bill to bang a woman if they think they’ll acquire something more out of it (bragging points w friends, some kind of long con with the woman). Hostessing totally is. It’s sooo creepy. Ugh I did it at a super fancy bar in college and the old men literally treated me like a child prostitute. I learned a lottttt about men when I worked there. You pretty much nailed it. It’s only natural for us to want to give our children the best possible chance at succeeding at life, but when we selectively choose tall mates are we subconsciously putting the “”success”” of our boys over our girls? Personally I think in such a misogynistic world, being a tall woman is an advantage but as we all know from our lived experiences, men (who control the world) favor women they can “easily” physically dominate.

Omfg that is the definition of white male privilege 🤦‍♀️. I’m so sorry that human garbage was your boss and managed your career for any amount of time. For a lot of teams, hiring a LVM man is better than a HV woman even if it hurts the company. The men in power know that a LVM middle manager won’t disrupt the existing male hierarchy, so even if he’s got every character flaw in the book he’s still a safer bet to them than hiring a more qualified woman (or man) who poses a bigger threat to the mal…

I will download it on my Kindle tonight!! I've been on Reddit for over a decade so I remember the Ellen Pao fiasco very well. That whole situation introduced me to the concept of the 'glass cliff'

That’s powerful and probably way closer to what happens in reality (since it is based in reality and not a fantasy like the comments fake sex worker larpers on Reddit leave)

Spend 6 months in corporate America and you’ll see tall (straight) white men (with blue eyes especially) get everythinggggg handed to them - credibility, promotions, authority. Look at 98% of company websites dedicated to bios of their board or executive team and you’ll see what I’m talking about. The other 2% have 1-2 blonde white ladies, a black guy, a black woman who isn’t even of American descent (no hate to immigrants whatsoever, just something I’ve noticed), and if it’s a tech company they…

I avoid tall white guys now for the same reasons as you. Bc of that avoidance, society’s worship of the most mediocre men just bc they’re tall and white is soooo obvious. It’s even worse in the corporate world than the dating scene.

This whole thread was a shit show. Every other (fake) post was a sob story about a loser paying a prostitute to cry while he fondles her boobs. Let’s be real if that did happen, it was cause the John was hoping for a discount. Worse even were the copy and paste replies about how it’s more acceptable for men to go to prostitutes than therapy. What fucking world do these ppl live in? Prostitution is illegal, therapy is not.

i look up to her so much as a perfect example of how being unmarried/single doesn't mean we're the "flawed" ones. she's successful, talented, wealthy, beautiful, hilarious, sweet.. really the whole package. there's not a single guy on earth that could match her high value.

swear to god, i'm not even hating on the women who post there with what im about to say, bc tbh i am so glad they are so open with what they share: that sub was the straw that broke the camel's back to push me away from wanting a 'nuclear family' forever. i read it every day as self care. i wish i had the words to describe how meaningful and significant the juxtaposition of that sub with FDS has been for me. the combo of FDS, that sub, and the SMBC sub has been transformative for me.

me too. From what I understand, many of the other 'developed' capitalist nations put in an effort to be more fair to women. There is an annual report that comes out which you can check out here: https://www.usnews.com/news/best-countries/best-women I'm pretty sure the US has never broken the top 15 lol!

I haaaaaaaate when married women call me picky. It used to make me really upset, like I was being bullied for not wanting to settle for the same kind of losers they chose. I own it now, yeah I am picky. Picky bc I won’t accept anything less than a partner who sees me as a true equal, even if it means I’ll never find someone to spend my life with. I’m more afraid of being w someone who subtracts value from my life than being “alone forever”, and that’s a good thing.

Super simplified but based on what I’ve read, women’s subjugation began with the invention of agriculture, because it started to matter where one man’s land ended and his neighbor’s started thus private property and land inheritance came into existence. Women were needed by men to create the next generation of sons for them to pass this land onto. Religions like Christianity, Islam codified it into law. Male babies became a tool for powerful men to build armies and spread their empires. Women’s …

I pretty much only watch shows with strong, interesting women leads now. Ideally multiple women leads. Dickinson is a perfect example of the type of show I love. My ex used to think i was ridiculous for not enjoying shows with 5 male leads & 1 white sexualized token woman lol. I hate violence, especially sexual violence and shows that center women’s stories don’t use those things as plot devices as often. I hate love stories like Bridgerton though.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/03/21 11:27 PM

i totally agree with you on everything you've said. the fact that he claimed to use massage parlors as an outlet for his sex addiction is even more justification for why this was clearly a racial hate crime since it's typically Asian women who work at Asian-run parlors. if the women were sex workers, my heart breaks for them just as equally. you're super right in that often they're victims of trafficking/poverty/etc. and he went after this group of people because they are the most vulnerable and…

She’s sexually deranged in many of the same ways as the person who wrote this and in others not listed like engaging in bang gangs with adults when she was a teen. Victim of abuse too - Her friend’s dad molested all the girls in her friend circle as kids during sleepovers. Her parents threw swingers parties and fucked on her little sisters bed.

any threat to their ability to have sex must feel like they’re being erased as a human being Men's Rights movements like RedPill reassert this claim. Their modus operandi is equating men not getting sex with the systematic human rights abuses experienced oppressed classes. I'm ready to get a bullhorn and a soap box so I spread the good word of FDS.

Omg I love your thoughts on this, thank you for sharing. So many good points, totally agree with the sex as an identity thing. There is nothing that women as a group go to the same lengths to achieve. Yes procreation is important to us, but we wouldn’t kidnap a young boy and chain him up in our basement for 20 years just to do so. Whereas men have been taking child brides for centuries. Men invented patriarchy and all its institutions/hegemonic mechanisms - religion, capitalism, marriage, gender…

men lose their minds if you tell them this. their patterns of failures in dating are never related to their untreated mental health issues yet all women's dating advice is self development focused...... when a guy w mental health issues he refuses to treat kills 30 people in a mass shooting or murders his wife and kids he gets 15 documentaries, a hollywood film and an interview on 60 minutes

i hate how true this is. i was thinking today how men treat sex like it's a scarce resource they need to live. they get so competitive with each other and violent with women over it. they really act like the UN declared sex and procreation a human (see male) right.... newsflash weirdos - it's not. get over your scarcity mindset and find a hobby that isn't porn.

Me too!!! I love nature and anthropology docs. We can learn so much by seeing how animals and other ppl exist in the world. Patriarchal societies push the worst narratives and straight up propaganda about humanity and nature even tho there’s always so much evidence to the contrary!

It’s called “Mutant Planet” and it was in the first episode about Africa! The whole series is really interesting. If you have Discovery+ it’s on there (if you have Verizon you can get 6 months free) along w tons of other nature docs like Planet Earth but also a lot of ones I’ve never seen before.

I watch a LOT of nature/animal documentaries (but not an animal expert by any means) and it’s actually fascinating how depending on the species, male animals won’t force themselves on prospective mates or even use violence at all. There are plenty of species that do, but many others just take it in stride and move on/wait for a mate that is into it. Bonobos are my fave monkeys and humans are as closely related with them as with chimps. Bc of a geological change that created the Congo River, bono…

That’s so true. They could easily say “I can’t give you what you want” but then they would never have sex, ever. So they use every trick in the book to convince us what they can give is what we want. Extra points if they can manipulate and abuse us into begging for it! The rush of they get from closing “the deal” with a new woman is the whole end game for them. If they can keep us hypnotized w mind games long enough to leech labor and resources that’s just a bonus. 🤢🤢🤮🤮

WHY oh WHY do they attempt to waste our time like this? They go for the hard sell EVERYTIME. It’s clear they enjoy the challenge of getting into our pants more than the actual act of sex itself. They treat dating like an RPG and women like quests they need to complete in order to level up. When is it enough? What the HELL is the point? All the trauma they leave in their wake aside, WHAT PURPOSE DOES THIS EVEN SERVE THEM (besides feeding their ego)? They can’t put “banged 50 girls last year” on t…

This is so sad and true. Even if the stepdad adopts the kid I feel like they never stop seeing the man their wife was with before them in the kid. The favoritism can be so bad once stepdad has his own bio kids with the mom.

Seriously good advice!! For Bank of America customers, their app makes this super easy to do. Totally agree. I think this is the main reason why we should vet guys with high paying jobs who DO pay the full bill without griping even harder. In my experience, they still have the 50/50 transactional mindset, but their budget is higher. They have a higher threshold for what they’re willing to give, and can be mistaken for HV bc they can out-pay other men for months/years. They aren’t cheapskates about dinners, flights or trips - but they still expect the women they date to give “50%” in othe…

Yup this is so true. Same goes for racism. I’ve worked hard to advocate for both racial and gender equality in the companies I’ve worked at. I’ve been hired for and tasked with these things, and I can say with 100% certainty that if organizations wanted to be more equitable for all genders/races they would. If they wanted to hire more black people, they would. If they wanted to make sure all their women were paid equally to all the men in the same roles, they very fucking easily could. If they w…

You are a role model for me! I recently decided to follow this path but it’ll be a few years before I can. I fantasize about a world where every woman goes the sperm bank route, refusing to marry and men are left without any children of their own. This is not my primary motivation but I’ve been thinking lately how in a lot of ways, going to a sperm bank seems like the ultimate “”evolutionary”” move. Instead of settling for the genetics of whatever LVM proposes to me, I can choose.

It’s crazy to think how the horrible greed of the top .001% magnified women’s issues and sped up women’s movements. They denied married women/mothers equal pay for equal work and maternal leave. Now as a result more women than ever are refusing to enter into marriages or becoming mothers at all!

Class/generational wealth/social capital and how they factor into how aggressively men pursue us is something we don’t talk about often on this sub but it’s a massive piece of why so many of us wonderful, successful and independent women aren’t sought after for marriage by even the lowest value of men. Men don’t want to marry down, they aim to marry up. I think this is why they hate gold diggers so much. I feel like coming from a family with money makes women a magnet for LVM and introduces a wh…

Man I’ve never see guys rush to marriage so fast as when they’re duping a woman of a higher economic class or who is a race he considers “higher” than his own - doubly so if she’s got both money and “social capital”.
