You've reminded me that I need to get back my BruceWayne-discipline for working out. I've lost 25lbs in the last few months, but now it's time to put them back on properly.

Looking good and being healthy, comes with a price. Thank you for the offer though I don't think that this was a very appropriate response, but rejecting the cake is not rejecting the group, and if that group sees it as such then I wouldn't much care about those people anyway. Eating cake is not make it or break it for participating in the celebration.

Yep. I've turned down cake a few times at the office (mostly retirements) because I've been trying to stop gaining weight (have successfully done that and more). I don't want the shitty cake they were serving, I just turn it down and say I'm fine. I'm here participating in the celebration/gathering, why do I need cake to really be a part of it?

People can still get around the system by paying cash for children to help them out (which is perfectly reasonable, imo), but it's a lot harder to do that with an adult.

She has rights, but those aren't relevant here. No one cares about your rights because they aren't being 'infringed upon' , lady. We care about sharing the load, and you aren't pulling your weight. It's funny that some women can't understand this simple logic.

There's nothing wrong with telling a girl this, and continuing to see her so long as you're both on the same page - you can still have fun times together. However this relationship seems bad. Hatorader seems like he doesn't even want to be in it, and if they are indeed 'dating' then this is bad - you don't do this when you 'date' someone, because inherently that means that you are testing them for an LTR and the viability of that has already been determined. Doesn't mean they can't see each othe…

Lol, "the past is the past" - yes, it is, but the past you've told is not the past that happened. Love it - no wait, I hate it - when girls use this line like that. It's pretty much the exact opposite of the meaning. You can work with the truth, you can't work with a lie.

I see a reasonable partial explanation for some of the land ownership thing - women know that should they wish to own land, all they need to do is divorce their SO (married status doesn't even matter, which is nuts) and they inherit his land and wealth.

Yep, new way sounds much better. I've been trying to word things like that since I started making resumes back when I was in grade school. Flowery bullshit tells you nothing. Telling them what you can do, not what you aspire to do, is useful.

When the fuck did Jenny McCarthy get on this show? Who are those other women? I used to put this on when I got home from school while I did other shit because we only had three channels and there was nothing else. It was entertaining. This is why subjects should be graded according to what they are - english shouldn't cross into math. They are separated for a reason. I am in a math-heavy degree now, and am definitely one of the more literate students. One of my best friends can't write worth a shit, but that's the way it goes in this kind of program, and that's fine. He's really smart, he just doesn't do written language well. To penalize him for making a spelling error on a test would be ridiculous when often the only words …

There are more important things to a woman than looks and how she is in bed. I really hope all men will learn this. This line almost makes me sad for her. She thinks that she can decide what is important to men, and doesn't consider what they actually want or need - it's all about the value that she believes she has. *and she's trying to force that upon all men I won't lie, this type of woman *(successful, proven capable of making the correct decision for a stable future) is attractive to me. My point is that if you are working in a lab with chemicals, you don't have a thousand chemicals. So I'm treating the chemicals as all the same, which you can't do with people.
/r/TheRedPill11/06/14 10:47 PM
5

See, this actually isn't a good comparison because it is in the chemicals' nature to burn you (assuming they are strong ones that you are working with - I'm treating these chemicals as a single group). However, the fact is that there are just some bad people out there. It's not like one out of a thousand times using the same chemical will burn you (analagous to walking the same route every night), it's that it is always the same - and that is not the same as people.

That's exactly what I was getting at right here: But I also just did a new lift station, and within 2 weeks we had to pull a pump and unjam the fucker because of a mass of fucking tampons. Thankfully, no equipment wrecked, just a couple hours of my PW guys' time. This should be what happens. Major inconvenience, shouldn't need to happen, but does. Thanks for the detailed reply, really appreciate it, especially since you aren't being the slightest bit rude to to me for asking this, as that happens quite a bit when asking for clarification on stuff like this. The city I was dealing with was around 350 000, so not quite the same.. obviously a bit of a bigger budget, and different preventative measures as it seems to be. That is the scenario that I was thinking of until now, and that is my mistake. I'm a bit out of it at the moment. What I un…

I also wrote that edit before I got this comment notification, and probably after you read my comment, because I left out that it will screw with it over time. It should not be able to damage your pumps though, and if it can then your preventative measures aren't what they should be, given how people love to just throw/flush everything away/down nowadays TL;DR: read my edit above because I don't think it was there when you replied
/r/TheRedPill28/05/14 09:03 PM

I didn't say that it wouldn't. And according to what I've been told, if the city has its shit together than this stuff gets caught before causing any major damage, although it is a major inconvenience. I asked you some questions elsewhere. edit: also my comment wasn't written only for you, which explains some of the wording. I also got confused and halfway through thought that I was responding to someone else's comment. Sorry about that, I've got a migraine and am trying to just live through it

Screw the internet, does the guy not have any rational thinking ability? Pumps don't handle solids. Solids block pipes. That's more than enough.
/r/TheRedPill28/05/14 08:53 PM
1

Couple questions for you: What size municipality do you work in? How often are the screens on the pump stations (what I assume you mean by lift station - just a station with a pump to raise pressure) actually cleaned? (I never got a number on that before, only that it happens infrequently) How big an area does each lift station service? I'm asking these because I did a project last year that dealt with municipal waste/storm water management and wastewater overflow and dumping.
/r/TheRedPill28/05/14 08:51 PM
1

It won't fuck terrbily with the municipal system, those screeners get cleaned out regularly (note: not necessarily frequently) and they take shit like this into account. It will fuck greatly with the system on the customer end, however. And if you don't have a municipal system (have a septic tank under your lawn) then I hope you enjoy source: did three months of research for a project on a city's sewer system and how to lower the amount of untreated wastewater... which included finding out what …

I have dated enough losers and jerks in the past to recognize this. I love it when girls say this. Why the fuck did you date them then? -- I know why, and am not arguing that point. But by saying that, you are acknowledging that there was a reason you dated them and it wasn't because you wanted anything serious - it was because you wanted wild, crazy fun and are now ready to "settle down"

Nah, those aren't the ones that I'm used to meeting. I'm used to meeting the princesses who expect you to work a 9-5 job (well, okay, 6-6) and still find time to be a great father who can afford a big truck, nice dresses, and a luxury car. Disclaimer: I am not your downvote. Don't treat me as such.

Absolutely. My first pic on Tinder is of me with pretty long flow, and a bunch of girls have started off with mentioning it. I'd say about half of those wanted me to be a cocky prick, and weren't interested if I wasn't.

There's nothing wrong with that as an opener if it's been awhile and she plans to buy the next round. I only say this because you knew her.

While that story is absolutely ridiculous, I don't think anyone here would buy a girl a drink when they are already that drunk.
/r/TheRedPill22/03/14 06:56 AM

I've definitely had girls open with that before who were interested in me for more than a free drink or two. Usually I get them to buy the first round, and there's no problem with it. If they pull the "I have no money on me" (which my roommate does all the time... sneaks past the bouncers, doesn't pay cover, and gets drinks from guys - although, usually she either meets up with them again or go home with them that night. Either way, my other guy roommates disapprove) then it's "tough shit, guess…

Yeah, I can corroborate that. I never buy girls drinks unless I'm buying for the group I'm with, and just turning it around on them always works. I guess I've only done it with under a dozen girls though.

Yep. I turn down a surprising amount of drunk sex (relative to how much I go out), it actually makes me wonder if I should be going for it. Then I remember what the morning-afters had been like, and I remember that I'm better off having not gone for it. If the girl is up for meeting up again, she only wants it that much more. Worth it, imo.

I never do really drunk hookups because of this if I have just met the person. Like last weekend: met a girl I had met just once two years prior, and she has me come back to her place - not mine. Fuck that, though, I don't do anything on a first night where she is even drunker than I am (and I was fucking deeee-runk). Sometimes you miss out on a night of sex because the girl only wanted the one night (like happened to me this time) but let's be straight with each other, super-drunk sex isn't the…

No, it's just that I don't really need leg day. I'll do it at the gym because it feels good, not because I need to. And trust me, biking does more than leg day. I've been biking for longer than I've been working out, and never needed it then.

I've never understood how people can skip leg day. I mean, I never do because I am an avid biker. If anything, I have problems keeping my arms up. Upper body is fine from my lifestyle (very active, a fair amount of good clean labour), arms just don't 'feel' big

There is actually too much filler crap from her in that article to even address it all. Mainly, the socializing points she had. All bullshit and the later situations where she was excluded would have been caused by her refusing to socialize in the past. You don't like doing what other people do? I have no problem with them finding a different kind of guy elsewhere. Fuck, half the girls in my hometown never return to that life because of the options there (very rural). Same. My friend's dad made less than his mom, who then married a guy who made as much or more than she did. Yet still motherfucking child payments kept coming to her, despite the fact that he had an unfurnished house (he kept the house, as it was his, and she took most of the shit) and was already spending money on his kids. Then again, that money did actually go to them. But only because she would just hand it to them because it wasn't even coming from her pocket.

Jesus christ what about the fucking guys that are short? Deal with it. Either you can do it or you can't, gender doesn't make a fucking difference there. I really don't understand why people refuse to accept and understand this concept. If you put yourself in a dangerous situation, you have to accept the possibility of a bad outcome. There are "bad" people out there. The fact that it is their fault for robbing/assaulting/raping/what-have you does not change the fact that you put yourself in a situation of elevated risk. You don't drive on bald tires in the winter and blame the weather for causing you to crash. Or at least reasonable, sane people …
