But I'm not an entire subreddit so,

It's impossible to subscribe to a reddit to read it without agreeing with it? You may have a few words for SRD, worstof, and this very subreddit then.

Uh huh. Okay. What about the people who see the inequalities in the system that hurt men but aren't hateful misogynists? According to (an inversion of) your logic, they don't exist.

I was simply trying to see what the status was for shill threads (not a judgment call on content) and potential cross-reddit drama. I would have asked on an obvious shill thread for Obama, Paul, etc. had I run across one. That's it. Doesn't have to be a conspiracy theory every single time yall. How many threads did this and the AskReddit MRA thread spawn?

I get downvoted for my name alone, get called out for where I post, and have people hurl misogynist slurs at me. Why should I operate on a level that presumes good faith in a place I've been given mostly scorn?

I too don't use the connotations of a word when reading sentences and arguments. See: all the sweeping generalizations and misogynist slurs in this thread.

Some men have this weird expectation that "doing a thing" for a woman = sex is mandatory. They don't understand the boundary between friendship and romantic/sexual relationship when it comes to people they're attracted to. But just because people have different levels of involvement doesn't mean that we shouldn't talk about whatever on the internet. True. But most of the 'activism' here is raiding/occupying feminist subs, complaining about how one woman's actions = all women without demonstratin…

There is an overwhelming amount of misogyny being expressed in all viewpoints.

Why isn't the community here taking that to task? All I've seen from MRAs is complaining about women on the internet. Why aren't yall fighting religious circumcision, etc.? All I see is a bunch of bitter guys complaining about how one woman burned them therefore all women are bad. Why haven't yall built up activist groups to fight in court?

even-handed conversation This is a bunch of misogynist wanking over how bad all women are from a single post. How do you not see the irony? Yall copy feminist studies without attribution, swap out women and men, claim feminazi lizard conspiracy keeping the men down, say some men are a bit bitter and that's okay, but women being a bit bitter is the worst. thing. Extrapolating out about men = bad. Extrapolating out about women = okay. What.

Didn't say this should be a safe space. I was pointing out the terrible logic ToastyMallows was using. "I didn't pull the trigger. I just pointed out minority to the bigots. Honest!" It's an exaggeration, yes, but this is low-level bait to misogynists in this sub.

It's a problem if yall automatically knee-jerk that something is terrible based upon a gender without knowing for certain.

Debate misogynists? In MRA? All I did was post about how a single minority did a thing in a subreddit centered around making extremely hateful and bigoted comments about said minority. It's not like I told them to say terrible shit!

Coming from an MRA apologizing for their fellow MRAs being horrible misogynists? Lol

Your fellow MRAs are using this as an excuse to label all women as bad because of a singular bad post by a single woman. Just look at this crap.

I'm wondering why she assumes the male is the one friend zoned. There are plenty of females that get friend zoned. http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/pwrla/this_rubbed_me_the_wrong_way_what_does_everyone/c3sv549 I think it does a good job of showing why men shouldn't provide support networks to women they aren't involved with. http://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/pwrla/this_rubbed_me_the_wrong_way_what_does_everyone/c3sv3xg I like how we should aspire to be dogs. This thread is about sexualization of minors on Reddit. You changed the subject.

How can you defend people posting explicitly sexualized content of children under the age of consent? Not that it would make it any better but none of the posters have permission to rehost the pictures from the photographed person. These are all stolen images of underage children. Why are you defending this?
/r/MensRights18/02/12 09:18 AM

Children can't consent. "Woah woah woah, they don't want to fuck a 5 yr old, they only want to fuck a 17 yr old" is busted terrible logic when trying to remove people posting content of exploited underage children. They are a pedo apologist if they think this is a valid point of discussion to use as a derail.

Go read the terms of service. This is not a free speech website, hate speech is explicitly banned in the ToS but it isn't deleted.

They were. The FBI and news organizations were all over it once it started getting reported. The reason why they were deleted was because Reddit admin's were getting too many calls from the FBI for child pornography being posted on their website. They were close to losing their safe harbor provision.

Pedophiles made it popular, not Something Awful. SA bans pedophiles and apologists on the spot. That shit does not fly there. Perhaps yall should just own up that the way this site is configured allows a lot of really really really fucking bad people to post terrible shit unchecked, and that these people should be banned and the shit they post deleted instead of blaming a separate website.
/r/MensRights17/02/12 09:01 PM

Cool. It's funny because children cannot consent to sex with adults so it doesn't change anything by going to a dictionary definition like this is somehow different and an excusable thing. Have you tried not being a pedophile apologist?

You do realize you can report these subreddits, right? Turns out that the really big subreddits about exploiting children were formed by straight men. So ... how about we drop this conspiracy crap and get the pedos off this fucking website regardless of whom they target?

Don't hunt down comments and downvote them, then. (Just like SRS doesn't) SRS is just redditors browsing reddit, stumbling on highly upvoted bigoted comments and submitting them to SRS to make fun of how bad it is. (MRAs are quite sexist: see the entirety of this subreddit for evidence) Preemptive replies: it isn't misogynist to me! -- a single solitary woman [+50]

It isn't a downvote brigade. Oh no so many sexist people! May as well give up everyone is terrible, better join them instead of make fun of them. Making fun of bigots is the worst thing ever.
