You'll get guys pissed off at you because of your post, but you're not wrong.

> Go into IT management; get a cert in project management I've been pretty much shut out of any kind of a promotion where I work after turning them down once. Every boss I've had at this place has been miserable and I didn't want to work 60 hours a week or be plugged in 24/7 or put my career in the hands of subordinates. I do manage my own projects. > why not just get paid for your experience instead of being a keyboard guy? Not sure what this means

Why would you hit her? No good would come out of that.

That's kinda funny, I am picturing old retired dudes getting tattoos. Yep I'm sure that gave you the motivation to get out!

Haha well maybe they think you work a night shift, assuming you give a fuck what they think, which you probably don't. working to make other people dreams a reality to me was another form of daily cucking or blue pilling . True. It can get demoralizing to have to kiss someone's ass who doesn't deserve to have their ass kissed.

Ya know, I did pizza delivery in college and actually liked it. Was tempted to do it again part time to make a few extra bucks. You must be pretty handy. Do you rent houses at all or mainly flip them?

We have an immune system to deal with bacteria in the bloodstream. I really hate oversimplifications. So you believe there is no credibility at all to those theories? I'm not one to believe everything I read but there is a lot of material online regarding the possible dangers of root canals. Maybe it depends on the person. There is a lot of money made on telling you that surgery can go wrong. No kidding. I care about what the complications are, those complications' incidence rate, what will be…

That is correct. The other option is to do nothing (one dentist said that is an option). Even though it is pain free most of the time, I'm not sure that is a good option. If I brush too hard or eat nuts on that tooth then I can feel it. It's not excruciating pain nor does it last but it isn't like it should be. Good points. There is an option to get an implant but the endo told me that this is a little more difficult since that tooth is so close to the sinuses, so I would need a sinus lift on …
/r/MGTOW05/02/19 02:50 PM
1

I already did, he said the crown that I had installed last year does not fit right and needs to be replaced then sent me to a root canal specialist who recommended getting a root canal. Considering a third opinion but don't want yet another set of x rays. I've had four sets already in the past 8 months or so.
/r/MGTOW05/02/19 04:55 AM
1

Top back tooth No, that dentist retired since the procedure was done and his replacement said I should pull it.
/r/MGTOW04/02/19 06:22 PM
1

It's the very last tooth so I figured I probably wouldn't miss it much if it were gone. That said, those are good points. There are pros and cons for both options it seems. Doing nothing is also an option since it rarely hurts but there are potential consequences there as well.
/r/MGTOW04/02/19 05:58 PM
1

Add on that while an eventual crown failure is virtually inevitable; it is significantly more likely if the dentist did a poor job, or if the patient doesn't take care of it properly (ostensibly practice "good oral hygiene" though the definition of THAT is rather dubious/controversial as well) -- point is so long as the root canal & crown don't feel/appear to "fail" in short order (i.e. within weeks months), then the blame is generally shifted to the patient. I have been thinking about filing a …

Interesting. I have had a couple dentists recommend wisdom tooth removal and then hand me their friend's business card. Never had it done. I have braces but it didn't keep my teeth straight over the long term. The compression might e the reason for that.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 05:35 PM
1

Ok thanks for the suggestion
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 04:20 PM
1

This is probably the less of two evils. Seems that both options have their own pros and cons.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 04:20 PM
1

That is young! I am pushing 40 and thought maybe that is too soon to pull a tooth. Regardless of the decision, I'm going to be more proactive with preventive care to try and prevent issues with other teeth.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 07:15 AM
2

It's the very back tooth (not counting the hidden wisdom tooth), so there wouldn't be any changes to my appearance. The more I think about it, the more I'm thinking that it doesn't really matter which option I choose. Losing the tooth wouldn't matter much in the grand scheme of things. Saving it would be nice but may only buy 10 years or so (if it works out). Guess I'll just have to make a decision and then stick to it.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 07:10 AM
1

Actually extraction is much cheaper (unless replacing with an implant). I had one dentist recommend extraction and then another dentist (and an endo he referred me to) recommended a root canal. Another option is to do nothing until the tooth becomes more of a problem, since it rarely hurts. I've read that this can have consequences as well if the tooth gets infected.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 07:02 AM
1

What exactly is a biological dentist? Never heard of this option. Do they do x rays or would they accept an x ray from a previous dentist? I've been zapped by three different dentists and don't care to do more x rays as those have risks as well.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 06:50 AM
1

Thanks for sharing your story. This one would not be noticeable if it was removed. Did your teeth shift at all? This one of the drawbacks of extraction from what I've read.
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 06:49 AM
1

No it's the last molar that I can see. The one right before the wisdom tooth (which is hidden).
/r/MGTOW03/02/19 06:47 AM
1

Interesting. I didn't realize that there were so many possible issues. I'm pushing 40 and was thinking maybe it's better not to pull any at this point but perhaps I should just have it pulled anyway if it's only going to last 10 years (best case)....although the last crown lasted close to 20 years.

I have seen websites with info like this, which is another concern. Another reason I wanted post and get feedback from people who have had this done.

I spent 2.5 years at Amazon, then 3.5 years at Microsoft, now I am at 2 years at IBM. I was about to leave IBM for google, even had an offer in my hand but IBM came through and just gave me a raise. You're in the big time. I work for a big company but it's non-tech. All of my jobs have been with non-tech companies since that is all that exists around here. You have to be willing to move and job hop to really maximize income, which it appears you have done. I'm moving up slowly in pay but mainly …

I'm already pushing 40 actually. My portfolio was fucked by the Great Recession. My fault for pulling out but you live and learn. I'm doing alright now but could have done better. I should have definitely spent more time job hopping and moving around when I was younger, but was tied down by my house, which is in a low cost of living area but not a whole lot of tech jobs within reasonable commuting distance. I will admit I lost faith in my 401 after that recession and just contributed whatever th…

You're probably right. I will admit there are a few perks - more specialized position, ability to focus more on what I do best, and being able to telecommute some days is intriguing though.

He hiring guy admits he knows nothing about software/databases, etc. It's not closer to home, about the same distance, but he said I'd only have to drive to the office 2 days a week (compared to the 5 days now).

Thanks for the tips. Nothing wrong with diversification. I am not sold on the crypto thing but will look into. Interesting tip re China stock. What give you the impression that they will overtake the US economy by 2030? That isn't that far from now! I made the mistake of pulling out when the Great Recession hit and it took years to recover. That would have been a great time to buy. Do you think this is a good time to buy a house? The market has been going up for quite some time now. Do you buy h…

I believe we live in different worlds. Yes IT is a VERY broad field. Keep doing what you're doing, it seems to be working for ya.
/r/MGTOW02/02/19 05:24 AM

Ok, fair enough. People like to say "keep up on new technologies" but there is SO MUCH out there, one can easily get overwhelmed. I like "just in time" learning. Learn as you go....with a bit of self study on top of that. Learning how to find information when you need it is a good skill as well. Memorization of a bunch of facts that are forgotten isn't always the best use of one's time.
/r/MGTOW02/02/19 04:56 AM

I am already employed. I applied for the job because it's more specialized than my current job and I thought it would be a good career move. Didn't find out about the pay until going on the interview.
/r/MGTOW02/02/19 04:52 AM

Lol no. The budgeted amount is 5% less of what I'm making now and I'm underpaid as it is. I asked if they are able to go higher and he said it's likely but she will have to clear it.

/r/MGTOW02/02/19 04:34 AM

Gotta be careful tho, it's better than losing it in bad investments.

Yeah, sure seems like it.
/r/MGTOW02/02/19 04:28 AM

The other thing is the salary they have budgeted, I'd have to take a 5% pay cut if I were to jump. He said he could maybe do something about it though (i.e. get her okay) if I were offered the job.

My agenda was that if you avoid carbs you get healthier. I Maybe some people but not everyone.
/r/MGTOW02/02/19 04:07 AM

It's not for everyone. Works great for some people, not so much for others (including myself). Some think that just because it works for them, it works for everyone.

That is true and yes, interesting discussion. Winding down for the night but maybe I'll hit you up sometime with my own experiences in dealing with PITA co-workers if you don't mind.
/r/MGTOW01/02/19 04:53 AM

I'd like to go that route eventually myself. Gotta love family who try and take advantage of ya. With family like that, who needs enemies?
/r/MGTOW01/02/19 04:49 AM
1

All good points. Kinda reminds me of the tech field. Beyond a Bachelors degree, more formal education is a scam. If you can find people to pay you without requiring these pieces of paper, more power to ya. At least they are smart enough to know all this. Organizational/behavior psychology a very interesting subject, that's for sure.
/r/MGTOW01/02/19 04:44 AM
1

Ever think about getting a degree in I/O Psychology? That thought has crossed my mind but from research I've done, some claim that Masters in psychology are a waste of time and money.
/r/MGTOW01/02/19 04:25 AM
3

Sounds like a fun gig. I have thought about doing something similar but I don't have the education for it. I'm in the tech field, which has its own issues. How many of these organization problems are caused by women? :)
/r/MGTOW01/02/19 04:15 AM

So you're like a paid counselor on the side like Aaron Clarey? Not sure if you heard of him but he does something similar and calls it Asshole Consulting.

I don't think you're wrong. Whatever you do works for you. If I don't eat enough carbs, I can't sleep so the low carb thing doesn't work for me. Everyone is different.
/r/MGTOW31/01/19 07:32 PM
1

Maybe it's you that doesn't understand what moderation is. A few blueberries (especially when mixed with protein like Greek Yogurt and fats like health nuts) isn't going to raise blood sugar all that much. Agree with you on the beer. Blueberries = horrible eating habits? I eat them often and not overweight or obese. I wouldn't put blueberries or other fruit in the same category as white sugar, but if whatever you do works for you, more power to ya.

Building, designing and continuously improving a system OR answering tech support calls. Hard pass. I do both. My job requires both building/designing/improving systems AND answering tech support calls. The tech support calls can be frustrating at times with the interruptions.

/r/MGTOW28/01/19 06:18 AM

What would you say is a comfortable nest egg? In general, I know it varies from person to person. I see posts on finance forums that are posted by people not even 40 with a million or two in savings. I wonder how the fuck anyone gets anywhere near that these days.
/r/MGTOW28/01/19 06:07 AM

Avoiding a commute helps with that. I haven't figured out how to overcome that obstacle tho.
/r/MGTOW28/01/19 06:06 AM

I can't really state numbers since cost of living varies all over. Let's say enough to cover ones' bills and then some.
/r/MGTOW28/01/19 06:05 AM

You make a great point, although keep in mind that salary in one place can go much further than another place. Think LA vs. small town in midwest. A 75 K salary would be an excellent salary in the midwest, not so great in LA.

True. I have a great-aunt that has been in a nursing home with Alzheimer's for the past 10 years. Her husband died a few years back. He was pretty healthy until his late 80s and then declined in his last year or two. Any particular company you would recommend?
/r/MGTOW27/01/19 03:49 AM
1

Ok didn't realize that 3 years is the average. That would especially suck to live in one for more than three years, any amount of time is more than enough. Although I was thinking more along the lines of living in one's home and having someone come in for care. LTC doesn't cover that I guess? Might as well exhaust assets and get on Medicaid if nursing home is the destination (unless one is concerned with leaving an inheritance). Sorry about your uncle. That sucks especially being a health nut.
/r/MGTOW27/01/19 02:57 AM
1

Investing can be a bad idea as well, if one is not careful.
/r/MGTOW27/01/19 12:29 AM
1

Wow, it only covers three years? Better than nothing I guess.
/r/MGTOW27/01/19 12:28 AM

Well said although I can see insuring against potential catastrophic events. I did end up using my auto insurance last year. Hit some idea, totaled the car, and they replaced it. They're still ahead by thousands of dollars.
/r/MGTOW26/01/19 11:33 PM
2

Good point. Although that money can run out and then it's Medicaid. Do you have the same opinion regarding extended warranties on vehicles?
/r/MGTOW26/01/19 10:17 PM

So you don't believe in saving for retirement either?

I wouldn't want to work for WWE. It seems to be a shitty work environment and it's been overrun by the SJW shit. Running an indy fed and growing it? That sounds like fun. I don't have "fuck you money" to burn so that's not happening either. It could be a good side big but like you mentioned, not a good main income source.

Interesting conversation you guys are having. This is my dream job as well, promoter and/or booker. Judging by some of the interviews I've heard Wade Keller do with WWE writers, it isn't such a great job after all (at least not in WWE). I've never promoted my own show it, but like other dream jobs, it's tough making a book doing this. Kudos to you for giving it a shot. I scratch this itch by being involved in an e-wrestling fed. Women tend to travel on credit. I don’t incur debt when I travel but most men are not in my position. Women run their credit cards up like crazy and then marry some hardworking poindexter to pay for it. Really? This is common? Women are more likely to travel on someone else’s tab. Whether husband, boyfriend or parents. Call one out on it and she will get shitty! Women tend to travel to the “cool” places. I should have went away to college, should have moved around, etc. I have not only considered it but found a paper I wrote when I was in middle school saying I wanted to start a business when I get older. Were most of your work environments like this or was this an extreme case?

It's a manager in another department whom I rarely see. I figure probably better to not make a big deal out of it unless she starts trying to set me up with people or whatever.
/r/MGTOW08/01/19 05:59 PM
1

You are right! That stuff does go on! Weekend work? Guess what, Jerry over there has to take his kids to Soccer practice (or whatever); Linda has some other "family" thing... so you're up. My boss is the married dude with three kids who often bitches and moans about his responsibilities outside of work. If this was a setup, I'm not putting in more time than I already do. He took the promotion and the extra money. They'll have to pay me more if they want more of my time.
/r/MGTOW08/01/19 07:42 AM
2

Maybe the whole thing was a setup? I don't think it was but can't rule it out. Without getting to specific, there were three other people involved. The person originally with the issue was not in the building at the time. My boss tried to fix it but couldn't. Then I was copied on an email later and the original problem no longer existed.
/r/MGTOW08/01/19 07:36 AM

I almost said I'm married....to the job.
/r/MGTOW08/01/19 07:33 AM

I actually did that. She first asked "how's the family" assuming that I already had one. Apparently she had me mixed up with someone else. I acted like I didn't hear that and then asked her an unrelated question. A few minutes later, she brings it up again and asks if I'm married and have kids. Unfortunately we had to walk together from one part of the building to another. I'll keep this in mind next time. I'm very rarely asked these questions at work as I and most others are busy. She caught me…
/r/MGTOW08/01/19 06:43 AM

/r/MGTOW06/01/19 05:35 AM

Nope but they're getting jobs anyway and making money that more qualified people would otherwise earn. Or getting jobs created for them (i.e. analyst) which sucks the earnings form more knowledgeable people who have to work extra to make up the difference.
/r/MGTOW06/01/19 03:40 AM
1

Maybe we're referring to two different things. Maybe you're thinking of parents that don't want their kids to leave home. I'm thinking of parents that are clingy and need attention.
/r/MGTOW06/01/19 03:38 AM

I am more of a night person. Good point about the social life unless one wants to hang with retirees. Although I'm usually too tired after working to do much anyway.
/r/MGTOW06/01/19 03:37 AM

Guess it depends on the human. Some humans can't fall asleep until after midnight. Never really enjoyed the day shift.

Promotions are overrated though, at least in some companies. Slightly more pay for 5x more work and responsibility.
/r/MGTOW05/01/19 06:38 PM

Being MGTOW, that would be a good thing, right? :) I think I see your point though. Can't really take classes or do anything in the evening that involve others. There are more free daytime hours but most are working at that time. I did the grave shift thing at a previous job, couldn't stand it.
/r/MGTOW05/01/19 06:25 PM

That is true, although in general, more daylight hours would be spent off work. I'll have to think about this some more.

Great post. I've come to a similar conclusion. I do much more than the bare minimum but no longer go way above and beyond since I won't be rewarded for it anyway. I have similar co-workers who have no lives. I would say they work non-stop all day but they don't. They spend most of their time talking and then stay "plugged in" on their off time. I never got it either. I tried to do as little as possible. Everyone else is running around trying to get noticed, I'm more interested in no one noticing if I'm even there are took a 3 hour lunch. Valid point. When a previous boss left, the director at the time encouraged me to apply for that guy's job. Even though the outgoing boss's salary was 50% more than mine, if I were promoted, my increase wouldn't come anywhere close to that. The extra hours, stress, etc wouldn't have been worth the extra money. Now they won't even consider me for a promotion but that's okay.... although I think my boss sorta resents me because he took the promotion (and his wife pressured him too) and has to deal…

Not sure this will change. My boss's boss is a Millennial who only has his middle management job because he knows someone. He doesn't want us working 4/10s or working from home a day because that's a threat to his job as he needs butts in the seats to justify his own position.

There are so many good ones. A MGTOW type episode is called "Willoughby".
/r/MGTOW02/01/19 06:19 AM

I do have an FC Twin and some NES and SNES cartridges. I can continue down that road and focus on buying cartidges. Also have an old CRT TV that I was thinking about recycling. Perhaps I should keep it!
/r/MGTOW02/01/19 05:53 AM
1

Thanks for the suggestion. I forgot to mention that I do have an FC Twin, which is similar to this (but not as good from what I've read). Perhaps I should just stick to cartridges. I do want to play some games from older systems (i.e. Pole Position for Atari and the like) so I might have to go the emulator route since the Atari Classic sytsem they came out with doesn't really have many if any games that I like.

That is true re the Atari Controller! Good point. I'd just rather have one system (i.e. pi) instead of a bunch of separate systems. Already have a PS2, PS3, etc, don't need even more clutter.
/r/MGTOW01/01/19 06:24 PM

Yeah but it feels weird playing them on a PC. Thought about getting a Raspberry Pi and going that route. Atari and Nintendo came out with these systems with classic games, but they are missing many of the fun games.

Ok I haven't played in awhile but thought I'd get back into it, a few hours a week. I was starting to second guess myself lol.
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 06:03 PM
3

Nope. They try to act interesting. For example, one woman said she likes to kayak in her profile. I asked her about it and she said she never went but wants to try it. Translation: "I want to try it but want someone else to pay for it." Same chick quit responding when I called her out on her one word/sentence answers. Lol some simp can waste time keeping her entertained, although I'm sure there is more than one!
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 05:54 PM

lol
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 05:53 PM

It's the music and nostalgia, from what I remember. It was probably made before a lot of guys here were even born.
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 03:29 AM

Seems like a younger crowd here so many not too many people here know about him, but you are right! Lots of red pills on that show.
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 03:28 AM

It's sickening. And this leads to them being really arrogant, even if they are fat and homely looking.
/r/MGTOW30/12/18 03:27 AM

Great post. The last paragraph is one of the best things I've read in awhile.

Nobody at work is your friend. True although they act like it with all the force socialization. They are your competition. True although again, they don't act like it. They want your promotion, your salary and they want to make sure your life is just as miserable as theirs is. They already got the promotion and fucked me. I wouldn't doubt my boss wants everyone else's lives as miserable as his. So lie to their asses. You got a wife and kids at home. They already know I don't. You change shitty d…

Hopefully it works out for him, but at that age, the chances are pretty slim. The last gf's brothers were screwing with him and threatened to kick his ass. Hopefully this one ends better when it does end.
/r/MGTOW26/12/18 05:45 PM
2

His mother and aunt had a bunch of failed relationships so he didn't learn.
/r/MGTOW26/12/18 05:44 PM
2

He doesn't know what he wants to do but those were some ideas that were thrown around. Someone at the gathering suggested a "stable" local decent paying job (for his age) but he doesn't want to do it because it requires paying dues and he doesn't want to do the schedule (shift work).
/r/MGTOW26/12/18 05:44 PM
1

Yes he is, and probably looks down on me, but whatever.
/r/MGTOW26/12/18 05:41 PM
3

Thought for awhile he'd go that route but had a gf and they split up and it did not take long for him to find another.
/r/MGTOW25/12/18 06:03 PM
4

Good points. I have thought about the side hustle thing but you make a good case not to.
/r/MGTOW25/12/18 05:53 PM
3

Yeah although it gets to the point where one asks whether it's even worth all that trouble.
/r/MGTOW25/12/18 05:28 AM
2

I have a cousin around your age and he is pretty optimistic. Has a girlfriend and spending lots of time with her. No job, doesn't work for a living tho, still trying to decide what to do with his life. Thinks he's going to Hollywood to be an actor or a fashion designer or something. Anyway I figured kids at your age were too young to be jaded already lol.
/r/MGTOW25/12/18 04:39 AM

Animals don't control, guilt trip, or manipulate others
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 08:04 AM

And then they expect their kids to bail them out, eh?
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 08:02 AM
2

Yeah it's superficial
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 07:47 AM
3

Sad but true But it depends on what you mean by "social skills", which is cliche and an overused term these days. You can be a nice person that everyone gets along with and not advance. Or be a manipulative bastard that screws people over and advance.
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 07:43 AM

Anything you say to a work friend can be used against you

Do they know your name?
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 07:25 AM

They said they want Becky to compete against male heavyweights in intergender matches, including compete against and beat Brock Lesnar. Who said that? This will be the first WrestleMania that I do NOT watch. Not even Undertaker will bring me back for this one (only reason I watched last year's).
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 04:48 AM
1

Not very often though. I never really cared for him much.
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 04:47 AM
1

Are you from India? Ironically the site is owned buy a guy from India (if I'm not mistaken). Good thing you didn't pay for it. I never did. You don't have to give up on wrestling forever. There are plenty of indy feds out there. I don't see WWE getting better anytime soon though. They still make money and just recently signed a huge TV deal. Not sure why, ratings keep on dropping. Yeah TV shows and movies suck these days. I'll watch mainly old TV shows and movies. F*ck Star Wars.
/r/MGTOW24/12/18 04:46 AM
1

Nasty? I don't know, definitely needy though. When his gf is around, she seems to keep him occupied. Otherwise he relies on me for attention. I suspect he's a narcissist. Seems to fit the description. Thanks for the tips. I have set boundaries before (please call before you come over) and he'll comply for awhile and then go back to dropping in. Difficult to ghost in the era of cell phones. I've been bitched at for not answering my cell phone. You're right tho, these types seem to only respond to…
/r/MGTOW23/12/18 08:21 PM
2

Yeah I need to do that. I always feel obligated to give an explanation although I probably shouldn't. He's going to retire soon which means he will likely need more attention due to having more free time.
/r/MGTOW23/12/18 07:56 PM
2

This is what happens if I don't answer: My dad will do this - he'll call again an hour later and again an hour after that. He'll basically keep calling unless I answer. Or send a text asking if I'm okay. Or he'll drive in (with or withot calling), only lives a few miles away. When he needs something (even if just attention), it's like I'm supposed to be available especially when his gf isn't around.
/r/MGTOW23/12/18 07:35 PM

True
/r/MGTOW23/12/18 06:30 PM
2

Thanks, heard that one from Tom Leykis!
/r/MGTOW23/12/18 06:29 PM
3

I can't believe nobody is responding to this. WWE started to go downhill since Stephanie McMahon joined the front office. This seems to have accelerated in recent years. I recently canceled my subscription. It's sad to see what has happened to a once entertaining show. They wouldn't be featured so much if it weren't for the men carrying them. Read up on the history of GLOW. It didn't last too long. What site was this btw? wrestlinginc?

True! I was going to mention him but he never did walk away. I have been watching some of those shows and he tosses out so many red pills. There's no way the show would be allowed on the air today on network TV. "I'm thirsty, get me a beer" (to Peg) "We're married men, we all gamble" was one of the quotes that sticks out

He looked like a walking zombie. Totally cucked.
/r/MGTOW16/12/18 06:00 PM

True. This guy obviously needs to be told what to do. I hate to rip on anyone's appearance but his demeanor and his look screamed "beta". I was waiting for the guy to say SOMETHING, ANYTHING to stand up for himself. I was standing right across from him and even looked straight at him with a shit eating grin and he was just so hung up on getting his master's approval that he was oblivious to his surroundings.
/r/MGTOW16/12/18 06:52 AM

Hahahaha! You're so funny! If you're going to insult people, AT LEAST insult them using grammar above a 4th grade level.

Pretty sad that one has to resort to that just to shut them up.

/r/MGTOW14/12/18 07:23 AM

2

How were they able to get away with that in this day and age?
/r/MGTOW09/12/18 05:34 PM

Maybe that's the solution. Men need to start their own small businesses and stop relying on big companies.

/r/MGTOW09/12/18 05:05 PM

That's exactly what Leykis recommends. What if you eventually find that she's awesome (very very low probability of course) and you actually want to get involved and then you have to tell her you lied? Or do you see no chance of that happening?
/r/MGTOW09/12/18 04:46 PM

It was Creed 2 and that's what happened, although Stallone (and Lundgren) play big roles in the movie.
/r/MGTOW09/12/18 04:40 PM

Heh. That is what Tom Leykis recommends. Although he also suggests making business cards and renting an air bnb.

/r/MGTOW09/12/18 03:12 AM
21

I did. I snatched the change, didn't look at her, and walked off. I usually don't show attitude unless it's shown to me first. I've been on the other side of the coin too....when dressed up and they think I have money.

Maybe I will, if they make some sort of comment first.

BTW... you should be cleaning your cutting board and sink with a quick bleach-bearing detergent-solution of some type or another (bleach wet-wipes and/or Soft-Scrub Gel w bleach are my preferences), and then let it air dry. Your kitchen sink and countertops aren't exactly some "clean room" thing to begin with (and likely never will be). Good idea esp if rinsing meat.
/r/MGTOW03/12/18 04:46 PM

> quick rinse Is that necessary? I've read that rinsing prior to cooking can spread stuff like salmonella

Traditional sedans in the United States have been on the decline for about a decade now, whereas SUV's and pickups have skyrocketed, the latter especially becoming more and more orientated as a family vehicle rather than something a farmer or a worker would own. It's basically supply and demand. Wait until gas prices go back up. It will be back to the smaller cars again. It's a vicious cycle.

I don't get too many specific questions myself but I have been asked how much my house, car, etc cost. My mother thinks I'm a cheap ass. She doesn't say it that way but has said I'm "tight". I don't really have much to show as far as big expenses go.She thinks I should be buying a bigger house, bigger car, etc.....like a wife would lol. Perhaps I should say I am focused on saving for retirement and can't touch it until 59 1/2 or something like that. I've been at the same job for over ten years a…

No is a complete statement. Do not hesitate to repeat it. A few examples: There are some family members who are notorious for wanting me to eat something that I don't want to eat. It's like I'm 40 going on 12. I'll say no NUMEROUS times (not just once but many times) and they'll STILL try to get me to eat it, or pack whatever so I can take it with me. Ironically I've run into people at work who are the same way. There are some people that are pushy and just can't take no for an answer. There's t…

Good idea re the retirement account. I do need to do a better job saying no without giving a reason. They are manipulators. Thanks for the tips.

So the women are getting their men to ask you for favors? My sister in law asked me to babysit their dog and I said no. She wouldn't take no for an answer and I kept saying no. I have several family members are manipulative including her and they make it difficult to say no!

What do you say when they make comments? My mom's boyfriend said at a gathering "with the money you're making". Uh, I don't recall telling anyone what I make. It's been more than a couple years although they are getting more and more obnoxious with the SJW stuff in recent years. The product has been going downhill since the early 2000s when she took over creative. It's gotten so bad that I recently canceled my WWE network subscription. It won't get better unless more and more people cancel, which I will admit is difficult to do with all of the great old content that is there.

Well she did show up at one family gathering that my brother wasn't present at (he had to work) and then she asked if I wanted to ride together to go to our other stop that day (at the other side of the family). It would have made sense to car pool but no way would I have went along with that. I could see her telling my brother "oh your brother tried making a move on me" if she wanted to stir up trouble.

I have not had a job in which I did a lot of travel but imagine it would get old after awhile. Commuting is enough of a grind. Short term pain... long term gain Yep. To become successful requires one to take risks. I've been in a stable situation for awhile (although that can change eventually), pays decent but not lucrative, but pretty much a dead end job. Yeah I'm sure she means well. She has dementia so she'll might forget the next time I see her. Maybe I'll just ignore it for now. Now if any other "well meaning relatives" jump in then it's game on and I deal with it. She's not the only one. I have a sister in law who tried setting me up with her single mother friend. And my dad's girlfriend has tried setting me up with her neighbor.

She's already in one. She used to bug me about this, then a couple of cousins had babies, and also I visited less often and then she quit making these comments. I have visited more often since she has been there and now she's making these comments again. If I don't come around very often, she acts like I don't visit enough. If I do come around more often then I "need a girlfriend".

Yep that's why so many have their credit maxed out. Lots of people who aren't rich like to pretend they are rich.

What about Dolph Lundgren?

What's wrong with baseball? Lots of women suddenly become bandwagon fans when a team does well.

Doctors acting like this? LOL

Good points!

Yeah it's a bunch of bullshit. If it's not enough to subsidize useless people with your tax dollars, you go to work and do the same with your time. Plus your salary is lower than it otherwise would be to subsidize these "make work" positions". What do you do now? Self employment?
/r/MGTOW07/08/18 03:06 PM

Seems like people are the same everywhere.

Why even talk about this topic? Your personal life is none of their business.

LOL Yeah definitely would just sit at the bar and not a table.

I have a somewhat odd work schedule as well. I usually don't eat out for lunch but another option to consider. It's not a bad idea to avoid crowds.
/r/MGTOW06/08/18 05:05 PM

Good points. I would only sit at the bar at that time, not a table.
/r/MGTOW06/08/18 05:04 PM

Are you serious? Geez. What type of places, like fancy restaurants or just casual restaurants? Did you tell them to fuck off?

Random strangers or people you know?

On a Fri/Sat night? I have pretty much given up on movies, most of the stuff Hollywood cranks out these days is garbage, just IMO

how did she find out?
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 02:28 PM

Not even going to bother, even that's a hassle. Leykis would suggest renting a car, air bnb, giving a fake name, throwaway number, etc. Too much trouble to be worth it.
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 07:08 AM
2

Yeah. Now the only two options are either: 1) Let her know something else came up and back out, or 2) Ghost her Either way, delete the profile, nothing but damaged goods on those sites anyway.
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 07:04 AM

Thanks!
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 07:02 AM

Yes that does seem to be the case. One can go the Leykis 101 route but it's a big enough hassle to not be worth it.
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 06:59 AM

I'll take your word for it. I've never dated that age range before....and decided there's no good reason to start now.
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 06:57 AM

I was going to go the Leykis 101 route. That could have been an interesting story.
/r/MGTOW04/08/18 06:36 AM

Anyway I'm not arguing with you. You're right. She's not worth the hassle. I think I'll just ghost her.....and delete my profile for good this time.

Yeah I suppose. It's rare that they select that option.

Supposed to be final next month. According to her, the husband cheated on her for two years.

Makes sense although she was married to the same guy for 20+ years

They are moved out and on their own. Otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered chatting with her.

Women are devious as fuck and think about this shit constantly. But they never say anything about it out loud. I had a friend in college who got married and our friendship didn't last too long after that!

He should have went the Tom Thibodeau route! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tom_Thibodeau Thibodeau has never been married.[41] According to a 2012 New York Times article, Thibodeau was engaged while he was in graduate school at Salem State, but called it off a month or two before the wedding.[7]

I have a non paying match account basically for the lols. All the wahmen are literally the same in the mid 30's. Looking to "settle down" and want some that loves to travel and is passionate about what they do for a living. I mean reality check most jobs are shit but if it pays well and ends with a pension you do it because that's what men do. And why the f is travel such a big thing? I can see pictures of anywhere from my pc. Is that not the same as taking a selfie from that same place. When I …

That thought did come to mind about the hauling since I drive a regular sized car. I'll have to rent one and see how it goes.

That is something I like to do. I don't do it enough due to work and the weather, but I try to get out at least a couple times a month.

Recently I’ve picked up kayaking and fishing. Also went for a 7 mile hike through a state forest a few days ago. Feels good to get outside more and drop the technology for a while. I’d recommend finding something similar, if you’re into that kind of thing. I definitely like being outside. I will go fishing occasionally. I like bike riding on trails as well. Do you have your own kayak?
/r/MGTOW21/07/18 03:21 PM

I'd like to get into kayaking but don't live on water nor do I have a vehicle large enough to transport a kayak. Sounds like fun tho

I have thought about this but renters can be a pain in the ass. I have an uncle that had a rental house for awhile and he had some single mom tenant that would annoy him a lot about stupid shit. I know someone else who was in rental real estate for decades and then decided to get out because the quality of renters was not as good as it used to be. Success in that racket really seems to depend on how good that one is screening out potential renters. Hopefully your renters pay their rent on time!

I have thought about boxing, not too many places offer that and the closest is 30 min away. Might try it anyway

That is what I would like to do, generate extra income. Looking into a few options but haven't decided on anything. The stuff I would enjoy the most has the least likely chance of generating income and vice versa.

I'd like to do coding at home, and work on projects, but code enough at work that it's difficult to get motivated. Need to spend less time on the computer in general. I do spend too much time on the net. Thanks for the other ideas.

LOL no but she did pay for her meal. I should have done what Leykis suggests, say I was going to the restroom, and then walk out leaving her with the bill lol.
/r/MGTOW21/07/18 05:00 AM

I would wake up hungry if I did that but if that work for you, keep it up!

Good summary. I had mixed feelings. He was MGTOW at the very beginning (before getting involved with her) and the end but the middle was a little cringe worthy. Yes he did come to his senses though.

I don't do cheat days. If you don't believe in the diet you are eating and feel the need to cheat you are still in a negative place mentally IMO. Nah. Eating pizza or a bowl of ice cream every couple weeks isn't going to hurt anyone (unless there are food allergies or the like)
/r/MGTOW21/07/18 02:31 AM

"Cheat meals" are a bad idea. Nothing wrong with a cheat meal every once in awhile.

Would you say the main character is MGHOW?
/r/MGTOW21/07/18 02:10 AM
