I'm senior enough at my job that I'm privy to the inner whispers of corporate land. I catch wind that some junior folks in my team are in danger of being laid off. Who knows, I might be one too and they're just not telling me.

Bottom line, gents, have a contingency plan. Settling down with a wife and kids means just that, you're settled, you're anchored, you're shackled. It's also the same when you're so deep in debt because you haven't budgeted your money. You can't go your own way. You don't have the luxury of having your own plans, and in most cases you don't have the resources to even finance any contingency plan.

The beauty of MGTOW is your flexibility. Who knows what the coming months hold, but I'm keeping up business relationships with people I trust, and not burning bridges that don't need to be burned. I'm also keeping an eye to my industry for any companies hiring, so if I need to or if one of my guys need to, that's an option. Even if I need to burn several months worth of savings, it won't bother me. Soon, the dream of true financial freedom will be mine, one day.
