It depends on your region and state, but either EMR or EMT-B and firefighter-1 (some volly depts require it, others don't, depends). Definitely have at least a cpr card. If you want to work volunteer ems in a 911 system find pepp/pals and phtls or itls courses and take FEMAs self study ICS cert classes.
