I agree. I wouldn't say "corny" either, and I'm particularly wary of "corny" lines. I'd use this.

Atta' baby. This is the right attitude. And now, you have a whole community to hold you accountable of changing your life. Take the first step, get out there. Make mistakes. Get blown out. Learn. Live. And eventually make sweet sweet passionate love. Share your field reports. Great way to hold yourself accountable :D Go get'em tiger!

To add to this, if you are in a club/bar/nightlife setting, just have a good time. Building social proof through interactions with others, whether they be the friends you came with, or the other pretty girl hello9 mentioned, will act as a DHV, because hey, who doesn't like a fun maker? Also, if you are in conversation with another girl (social proof), and are in proximity of target girl (who is mid-convo herself), you have more liberty to interrupt her conversation if you ask her for her opinion…

Dear OP, I too have come to much confusion about the proper use of chivalry. Reading the posts here so far, and reading the girlschase.com article as well about the boyfriend dilemma, i wonder if it is still effective. I agree that girls like chivalry, but still feel that it puts you in a class as a potential boyfriend. But even if done "right," (i.e. owning the situation, being alpha still, etc.) doesn't that put you in a boyfriend category? The point of the girlschase.com article was if you wa…

This. Now i'm NOT saying that you two will never work out, but right now is not the time. If there is a romantic inside of you, leave it up to destiny/fate/God/Cthulhu/whatever. In the mean time, staying attractive to her means you succeeding in as many aspects of your life as you can. So go out there, have fun, establish a career, hook up with beautiful women, and enjoy life! That way, if your paths are destined to cross again, the you she re-encounters will be in a place to swoop her off of he…

From my understanding, you are at risk for the boyfriend dilemma, especially if the woman is asking you out or paying for you. Those are indicators that women are very into you, and if they are not accompanying those notions with sexytime, then they are definitely attempting to present themselves in a very high-class (read: not easy to sexytime with) fashion. Thus, the boyfriend dilemma. The advice given in the aforementioned post is to avoid her holding sexytime hostage in favor of hooking you …

i was going to ask the same question for the same reasons... and give the same advice. why would you hang out with people you clearly don't like?

agreed. get her to invest something personal into the conversation, and you give her more reason to see her investment through. also, the chicken line sounds really... out of place (read: unnatural). i'm all for neg'ing a girl, just pick a different (situational?) neg.

I don't think the last FR was fake, I don't think this FR is fake. You are entitled to your opinion, but I don't see what makes this sound fake. Just saying.

I can totally relate to this, and have been trying to find a good middle ground. A good friend of mine told me to be confident and proud of my achievements, but humble in my discussion of them. EDIT: Grammar

I wouldn't get too flustered about this buddy. The key here is to remember the principle of abundance! Remember, you were already going out for your friend's bday regardless of if you met this chick or not. If she comes, great you'll have an awesome time. If not? You are a great guy with tons of options. Being free to go flirt and mingle with all the women you meet, the world is your playpen. So, no I wouldn't text her back today or even tomorrow afternoon. Pretend like you forgot you even invit…

as an avid weightlifter/body builder i can say that going to the gym is ery beneficial to one's inner game. but more generally, it is just taking care of oneself in whatever way one desires. whatever each person's individual goals and values are (within or outside the realm of fitness) it is highly beneficial to feed those goals because achieving makes everyone feel like a boss. this is whether your goals are muscle strength, aesthetics and definition, or weight loss. the point is to make a choi…
