In my experience, every woman I've encountered who wants someone "emotionally intelligent" is massively lacking in this space themselves, you need it because THEY lack it, and its requirement for the relationship to have any chance to even start.

Yes, I earn 118k she was 45k ish 2 kids Insurance? Not in the us so don’t pay for healthcare. She also volunteered to give up her job and go on a government benefit which is why the support payments jumped

lol 😂 I worked 40 hours with 20 additional being travel to and from the office so 60 pw She did 30 hours and travelled 5 mins down the road She was on 30 per hour, I’m on 50. I did ALL the house work every week / every weekend for the last couple of years, paid almost all the bills and managed them, did all the supermarket shopping too. Had near 0 free time to play games or w/e relaxing once all that shit was done. Saw an anonymous Facebook post a female friend shared the other night and 99% cer…

Oh you need to stop with all the logic 🤣 sadly many aren’t as fortunate as I’ll hopefully end up being. The wheels to correct this will start Monday so hopefully that will motivate her to pull her weight. Gotta make an example of these women for the rest of them to learn.

I’m in the same boat 50/50 care but yet have to pay her now 530 per month due to income difference and in the new financial year it goes up to 780 per month so far, because she’s lost her job. Seeking capacity for employment or what ever it’s called since that’s available in my country which should bring that payment down nicely.

Currently 90 something days sober, I’ve gone years off and on without drinking so it’s a non issue for me, ex wife would drink on weekends as early as 8:30am and drink everyday so trying to limit things like that

My current thinking would be limiting it to me and her and not allowing the kids to be around excessive drinking as I don’t think that’s healthy

I have for the most part, just trying to ensure there is limits for bad behaviours eg my ex wife and both kids currently all sleep in the same bed, that’s not good. (Kids are 6 and 8) Edit: another reason for some things is to prevent kids moving school and distance between where my ex and I live and moving out of the area

Lawyer to write up the contract of all the things, if you wrote it no it won’t hold up in court.

If you can’t afford a lawyer now then you really can’t afford to not have it in black and white for later on

Today is day 78 for me so I’m only just ahead of you. Yea I feel a lot of the same feelings. I’m slowly rebuilding things (finances and getting kids schedule organised finally (50 / 50) I’d suggest trying to put some sort of budget together and see where money is going, this will help fill in time, something free to do, can be done from home and will help you plan things both short and long term and provides the ability for you to see when you could spend some cash on your self. It will depend o…

Just remember it doesn’t matter how much pain your in, your kids will hurt more if you kill yourself and they’d never forgive you. I feel your pain as I’m in a similar boat as I wake up every day not wanting what life has become and wanting to turn the clock back 2 years and redo life or even just enjoy it a bit more before it ended. Stay around for your kids, their happiness overrides yours. You will heal and could find some one else, they lll never have another you as you can’t be replaced

I’m not in the same boat as mine is not amicable at all, but you need a clean cut I’d recommend not engaging with any sex as it will muddy feelings etc.

I’ve had a lot of those days recently, try keep busy any way possible, gym, walks on the street, talk to family or friends, life sucks can you can make it suck a little less doing something rather than nothing. It will come and go in waves, but that’s the hard life we are all living, we know you pain we’ve all been through it or currently going through it. Keep a log of something eg keep record of your gym gains or weight loss, get a schedule of things going that also helps

Totally understand the emotional side of it all, you gave her most of your life and now it’s all for nothing. Keep strong, focus on the future, keep an open mind and try do things to make you happy even if you feel down in the slumps. Be alone, spend time with friends or just going out and waking. You’ll feel better in time and who knows what the future will bring.

Yea I just know that all the hurt, lies, cheating disrespect was just her, it’s not how every person is, yes there are a lot of cheaters and hurtful people out there but I know there will be people like me who can be honest, loving and faithful. Defo not what I wanted thats for sure, I wanted to be with someone to have a family and eventually die with but it seems it wasn’t her and that sucks but it’s ok. I don’t see another path than just moving forward, she wasn’t my person so I will find some…

I’ll likely never find out if she regrets her choices unless there is direct communication to me from her saying so, my daughter was in the car when the person saw her crying so I asked her why mummy was upset and she said mummy wasn’t crying. So a bit unsure if mummy has said to my daughter don’t tell daddy anything or if she was crying in the first place but I do know the ex wife has had total attitude change recently with her messages etc and almost seemed friendly when she dropped off some m…

Thanks ! Just need to mentally process it all so the sting is gone then can continue moving forward just one of those things that suck but just need time to get over the hurt of it all.

Am happily letting her sleep it in, I want to sell the house asap so that would mean pretty much 0 contact with her but she wants to sell in a few months, hopefully I can argue that successfully and get it listed sooner than that

At least 4 that I know of which I only found out recently, likely higher. But then there was 3 affairs while we were together even if one of them was just emotional which I don’t believe it was, so that was 6, then post separation who really knows. 3 knowingly together 4 more secret ones I found out later and who knows how many post separation

Thank you, I am trying to reach that place too and until a few days ago I felt like I was really getting there, but things are still a mess, house needs tidying and selling, kid’s schedules changing and she is still trying to come at me for anything and everything. Hopefully 6 months from now once it’s all sorted she’ll fuck off for good

I don’t feel I’m holding onto anger as I’m happier and back to where I was mentally and physically before her, if she’s regretting things then it’s just an added bonus I feel. My kids are reaping the benefits of me being less stressed and mentally maxed out as we spend more time than ever playing together and doing things. Edit: what’s ap?

I would never go back, not once all this info about her secretly cheating for almost a full year and so many men behind my back. I’m happier these days and people won’t stop commenting so ! I just really do hope she’s now facing the consequences of her actions and I hope it hurts deep. Our kids have had so much pain from it and that kills me so much more but I know if I did go back it wouldn’t last a year before the same happens again, plus eeew no not after she’s had a train of guys go through …

Just process it as best as you can really, keep busy, do gym, see friends etc. My boats a bit different we separated over 2 months ago but I’ve found out she’s been going out and fucking guys behind my back, anywhere really, in my house, at work, at their houses etc. Just need to give it time, sort out your mental state, keep busy and move on from her. It’s going to suck and there’s no real cure at least that I’ve found. You’ll eventually find someone new yourself and you’ll be mentally ok as th…
