Hi all, just wondering on people’s experience on partners that have been together, partner has then been cheating behind your back and has been for some time (so not a one off thing). Started the separation process and the ex has tried to bring the relationship back.

My ex has been cheating on me for the past 12 months without me knowing (only found out about all of this in the last week or two, quite extensively, separated for 2 months now). I heard from a local person that she was found crying in her car outside the kids school and I can only assume reasons why.

One thought is that the thrill of cheating ended when we separated, the thrill of being with other men has now faded and maybe reality is setting in?

We had our own house, two kids under 10, dog, cat, married, I’d do far more than my fair share, longer work hours so I’d earn way more (2x if not more her salary), I do almost all the house work, take the kids out and give her alone time, money to burn, but she never respected me, spend time with me, worked on our marriage, always spending all her time on a ton of local friends (but none will talk to her now as they know all the cheating shit she’s been up to and all the lies she spread about me when she decided to split from me and they now see what person she really is), we were in the end game of life and she’s thrown it all away for a bit of excitement it seems.

What’s your thoughts or exp with ex partners now regretting the decisions they made 2-6-12+ months later.

I do personally hope it’s her regretting everything as there is 0% chance of me ever taking her ass back now and I know her chances of finding someone long term is pretty slim.

Edit: she’s loosing pretty much everything. - 50% shared of the kids - house is being sold - dog is gone - she can have the cat lol - doesn’t have a new bf although fuck buddies seem to be keen - maybe struggling financially - every legal threat she’s thrown at me has come to nothing - I’ started loosing weight before the separation and now I’m down at least 20kgs so now getting super attractive and she heard from the kids how strong daddy is (hand stand push ups, daddy’s abs etc) - no one to rely on locally any more or a partner like me to help with things - no local friends any more - has been stood down at work at least one for performance issues (although this could have been because of the guy she was fucking at work and this was a don’t fuck at work punishment too) - no longer able to get a massive inheritance from my parents (2-3 million when they die) - I have the best mum in the world and she’s said it for years so that’s gone, her mum is actually the worse (her mum lived with us for 4 years in our house and she kicked her own mum out it was so bad LOL) - prob a ton of other shit but that’s enough for now
