Gf told me, " we used to be equal. Now I feel like your above me...I don't hate it." This stuff works wonders. Thanks for all the knowledge guys.

The main reason there are no fathers has more to do with laziness and lack of shame within the black community. A lot of my friends fathers were not in jail. They just couldn't be bothered.

I disagree it is about the families. He is right. I grew up in these neighbourhoods and there was never any fathers around. This lead to kids getting in gangs and getting into trouble. The drug problem is a symptom but the broken family is the illness.

I was talking with a group of friends over some beers. Lets call one of my friends sara. Sara- Relationships aren't complicated all you have to do is love your gf. Me - No you can't just love a women. If a man does do all the lovey dovey things that everyone says they should his g/f will lose respect for him and then its over. Sara- OK, that is so not true? Me- What happened with your ex? Sara- He was just too nice, and always doing things for me, so I broke up with him. me- .... The things he w…

I agree, to me the best part of this argument is that they both stuck to the issue. you don't see that much anymore.

I agree I would feel like there is nothing to lose at that point. Somebody would get hurt.

I hate all the excuses. Women are strong and independent, except when they fuck up. Then they are helpless damsels being taking advantage of.

GF is one thing but if I was married and there was an affair I would lose it. There is no way I am paying half of what I'm worth to someone who was unfaithful.

I have read how to win friends and influence people, and I am currentl y working on 48 rules of power. Itried to read the prince but I just could"t get into it. When does it start to pick up in your opinion?

That stat is true. I say that as a black man who was raised by a single mother. I might be college educated but I know I am an exception. Most young black man are fn up. The generalization is true. It annoys me that people pretend not to see obvious patterns in the world around us.

If I am going to marry someone I am going to make that decision on my own. Being on TRP has shown me that there are a lot of risk involved. However, I still would like to have a successful marriage if that day ever comes. I just want to do everything I can to start off on the right foot if/when I take that next step. Not everyone's goal is to spin as many plates as possible. Some of us have gotten our fill of spinning plates and are looking for ways to have a successful LTR. There are not many p…

My father wasn't married to my mother and bailed. Alot of my friends were in a similar position. I don't want to be like my father was. I want to be better. Maybe that is why I have a strong desire for the married life. You raised some good points and some great questions that I am going to ask to those men who I do look up to. By stability I mean consistency. You know your dad is going to be there it makes the kid happier. you knew what to expect. It eliminates the fear of when is dad leaving a…

That would make everything easier I know. But it is what I want. Some people took the red pill and want to be bachelors, and spin plates. I have always wanted to be a father and a husband. I've always wanted to have a successful marriage and family. I think the red pill is the best option for making that a reality.

Marriage adds more stability to a family. That is my main reason. I don't know if it will make me a better father per se, but all the men who I looked up to who were great fathers were married. That left a big impression on me. So I think if I am going to have a child I would like to be married first.

Thanks. I know I am not ready yet. Like I said in my edit I woudn't be popping the question anytime soon. But thanks for the good advice. Also not everyone is a natural alpha or dominant person, but this is a sub where people can come to learn. That's what I am trying to do and that is why I am asking what I should do and other people's opinion. I know we have some people on this sub who have all this hammered out and who don't need help. I'm not there yet but I am on my way.

It is personal preference. most people I know had kids out of wed lock and the kids suffered. On the other hand the kids who had parents that were married were better off in my opinion.(both parents there, more stable home life etc.) My parents were also never married and me and my siblings had a horrible up bringing. This is my reasoning. I know it is not scientific just my opinion from my personal experiences. SO I guess you can say I am seeking security, but not for me. For my future children…

Like you said most people use it as an excuse. So my train of thought is if there is something that private on your phone that I don't know about at this point then we should go our separate ways.

Haha touche. I should have worded that better. I'm not the best at writing my thoughts out. I want to be 100% confident that going into the next step that up to this point she has been true to me and to her word. Then I would be comfortable taking the next step. Also I will never trust a women completely because I know that if a man slips up every women has the potential to cheat or screw you over. There are no exceptions. So I think it is foolish to trust someone completely. I guess I want to v…

I want to be a good father. I want to raise children. I think the best way to do that is through the institution of marriage. If I didn't want kids I would not get married. Also as I stated earlier, this isn't going to happen for a while. I was just thinking about what i would do when that time comes.

Honestly if she said no, I would assume there was something to hide and I would break up with her. I would like to be married and have a family one day, but I also want to minimize my risk if possible. But thanks for your reply. You gave me some things to think about.

If I am going to make that big of a commitment is it not wise to check everything out before I do. Especially after learning what I have after taking the red pill. Also I am not planning on proposing anytime soon. I was just wanted people's opinion about this if/when the time comes.

I know most people will not come clean. But I ask b/c it is a habit I picked up from my parents growing up. They always used to ask us this before a big discussion, or if they thought we were hiding something. The part I am asking about more is the checking the phone. Also I have a problem trusting women. Doesn't matter who she is. People can lie to your face, and we here all know women are especially good at it. So I do think she has become more trustworthy but I would like to verify.

In my mind decent is good. After learning what I have about how women are wired, this is as high as my evaluation criteria goes. Also I don't trust women, but I have always wanted to be a father. How would you deal with those two opposite opinions.

Okay so what would you do differently? If you were interested in marriage even after swallowing the red pill?

That is the thing I don't trust anyone completely. I was already jaded before taking the red pill now that I have I will never trust any women again completely. She has the highest amount of trust I am willing to give to any woman. Also I am not planning on proposing soon. After rereading I realized I didn't make that very clear.

I used to be an idiot and accepted this kind of behaviour from my gf. I Assumed she was just naive and didn't get it. Then I asked her if given the chance would her friend hook up with her. She replied, "of course." That was when I finally put my foot down and told her if she wants to be with me then no one on one hanging out with any guys. I don't care how long you've been friends. Can't believe I was so blind for so long.

The reason men are seen as bad in relationships is because we are. We are the captains. Therefore it is are job to lead at all times. Therefore anything a woman does she only does it because you allow her to. If you are a strong leader then the chances of having a successful relationship increase dramatically. One analogy I like is dating is like a basketball team. As a man we are supposed to lead so we are the coach. Just like basketball coaches, when things are going great we are heroes. When …

There is no need to dig through the subreddit. There are examples on this page that have already been listed. If you are really serious about understanding what we are talking about, I invite you to read the rest of the comments on this page. Quick side note, the way you write comes off a bit condescending. If you really are here to just learn new perspectives I doubt that is the vibe you are trying to send. So I wanted to give you a heads up so we can keep a respectful dialogue going.

I'm not trying to judge you. I only asked the question so I could know what angle to respond from. We men didn't just make up this shared experience out of thin air. It was made from personal experience. Me and a fellow redditor gave our own anecdotes above on why opening up is a bad idea. So by asking if there is a, "believable or plausible scenario," you are belittling the personal experiences of not only me but many other men on the web. The truth is this happens quite often. Sometimes it is …

If you don't mind me asking, are you male or female?
/r/TheRedPill29/05/13 01:35 PM

Nope, there really isn't a bright side to this issue. When women say they want you to open up what they are saying is, "tell me how you feel about me. Oh and it better be that I am the most amazing girl ever." Anything else they really don't want to hear.

Yeah man it sucks. I was abandon by both parents as a kid. We have a relationship now but they missed out on most of my child hood. I had a lot of anger towards them but I say I am over 70% of it. One day she asked me to tell her why I was feeling off. I told her about my feelings towards my parents and she got really combative. She kept telling me they're in my life now so just forget about. It got me really frustrated and eventually I just got off the phone. She later told me that when they ha…
