YES!!! thank you! And the pain of being dumped or cheated on is a million times worse than the "pain" of being single.

Fair point, but a career and a job are two different things. A job can up and walk away from you, but not necessarily a career in the same way. But I get what you mean, an industry/career can collapse so you need to make sure you can survive if you ended up with absolutely nothing.

Ugh, I've had this quote in mind for nearly a decade since she first said it, but recently decided to follow a man because we were together for four years and I never thought he would wake up and tell me he didn't love me anymore, but surprise surprise, he did. Now, I'm following my dreams and never ever ever ever putting a man first. This quote is so damn true, ladies. Even if you don't think he would ever stop loving you, that's just not fucking true. Never put a man before yourself and your d…

What do you mean? I don't know anything about him other than he's a famous football player. Do you mean he's an HVM? Why?

Someone had replied to this post recommending a book or an audiobook called "breaking the grip of past lovers", I think that poster deleted their comment unfortunately, but I wanted to thank you whoever you are! I was meaning to respond to your comment, but I've just been sleeping off my sadness and letting myself be a potato for a few days before picking myself back up. Thank you so much for that recommendation, I'm really going to check that out because it sounds like exactly what I need. ❤️

Ooh, thank you so much for this recommendation! I saw the movie a while back and I remember really liking it, but I've got nothing but time on my hands now, so I'll definitely read the book next ! Thank you so much. ❤️

This is such a good recommendation, thank you! I've seen parts of the show before, but now thinking of it in that FDS way, I'm definitely going to plunge into it again ! I love Amy poehler and I'm all about supporting women-led shows too, thank you!

Oh wow, thank you so much for the recommendation! I've been meaning to check out that show, but wasn't sure what it was about, I'll check it out for sure, thank you ! And I find Milo Ventimiglia so darn attractive, so if he's a good man in the show, then he'll be even more fun to watch ! 😍

Left behind a very well paying and prestigious full time job offer in NYC, where I was already living, to move with (aka follow 🙄) my ex to bumfuck nowhere in California. I gave up everything. I broke up with him one month ago exactly, am currently still living in bumfuck nowhere with his mom, and am moving back to live with family before going back to NYC to start over. I fucked myself over so badly because I thought he was such a HVM and I doubted my ability to find anyone as seemingly HV as h…

I'm going through a LTR break-up right now and this is so damn true. It kind of makes me feel good that he's (LVM - never again!) not handling it well, because I was a fucking messy wreck at first and now I feel better than ever before, but he was so nonchalant about it at first. I learned my lesson ladies, thank you for all of y'all's wisdom here. I'm never compromising myself or my dreams ever again, now nothing is more important to me than myself and building the life that I want.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
