I'm so happy to hear that. Best of luck to you!

Yeah but if you keep acting like this, the next girl you attract is just gonna be another type of crazy. You should maybe look into therapy - especially if you have that I don't give a fuck attitude - it's a defensive attitude adopted by people with certain types of issues that makes their suffering worse over time. You can work on that, feel better about yourself in the long run, and become a stronger person.

Then let's be better than those kind of people.

It's because Reddit has become very toxic. People are increasingly judgemental. It's been like this since the 2016 US election, and Trump winning likely made it worse because he keeps acting like a jackass riling everyone up over and over.

Okay, let's say you're actually interested in finding accurate information - how would you go about that? I would: Look up the definition of "reputable" so I know what I'm actually looking for. Also find synonyms. Look up a list of reputable sites based off the list I just made and the information I gathered. Find the data integrity of said list by crossreferencing said datapoints of item 2 against each other. Cross reference that list with lists based off journalistic integrity across nations (…

See, this kind of debate is exactly why people don't like vegans. Thank you for proving my point.
/r/MensRights14/04/19 09:46 AM

Vegans care because you are hurting someone. Vegans care because they've chosen another definition for valuable life. In that regard they are no different than anti-abortionists - the common anti-abortion considers a fetus a child, the average person does not. What's enraging people is that is that vegans are saying meat eaters are hurting "someone", when most people don't consider an animal "someone". It's like being called a rapists for looking at someone wrong. Being accused of murder, or hur…

Probably a good thing. Might turn some of that tribalism into itself instead. Feminism right now consists of concepts and people that exclude each other.
/r/PussyPassDenied05/04/19 06:24 PM

Yeah, Feminism needs to split so that people can more readily identify radicals. Kind of like how Christianity split into Protestantism and Catholicism centuries ago. It would just help feminism so much if they switched name and distance themselves from one specific gender. Imagine the outcries if someone made a social rights movement and called masculinism.

Thanks for looking this up and forming an argument! We're both Swedish, and she's likely going down the "I don't care what happens in the US path" anyway. Currently working through the No true Scotsman fallacy with her, because her best defense right now is "those people aren't real feminists" when I point out wrongdoings of feminism. I've also been very clear on her that wanting equal rights doesn't necessarily mean that you're a feminist. Right now there's a saying in Sweden that "if you want …

Do you have source on the duluth model stuff? Me and my sister sometimes have debates about feminism - she thinks in blacks and whites, i think in grays, - and it's something I'd like to bring up.

If everyone just sucked it up and kept going there wouldn't be feminism or a mensrights movement. Breast cancer gets 620 million dollars, and prostate cancer gets 280 million dollars. Roughly 25% less men die from prostate cancer than women from breast cancer. Shouldn't prostate cancer just be funded by roughly 75% of breast cancer? How would you react if men got TWICE the amount of care the women got? Would you be whining if you pointed that out?

It's easier to rephrase and reformat problematic behavior than to confront ones own problems and force ones self to change - it questions past behavior and rhetoric and it can be harsh on an ego to view the past self as an antagonist or seeing that decisions were made on a flawed premises. Buddhism identified the ego problem ages ago. It's something we can see in all aspects of society. It's a shame that we haven't found an effective way to deal with it.

Yeah, I've been feeling this for a long time as well. Feminists are holding the left back by trying to replace the idea of class problems with with gender problems. I honestly think it's one of the bigger causes for why racism and the such are on the rise again: Men with little education and low social status who feel set back by society can't accept "leftist" ideology because feminists are making them out to be in power. Which they aren't. They're basically on lowest rung of society. They have …

Hey, it's nice to see a feminist in here! I love that a debate can open up, and I hope we can have a nice talk. I feel I must apologize in advance because I see most of your points irrelevant, but I'm hoping that we can find mutual grounds or a mutual way of expressing ourselves where meaningful progress can be made. 1) making a generalization about "women" without acknowledging it as such [...] My argument is based on statistics. Statistics are generalizations by implication, and we are unable …

Assuming job and wage equality the amount of men who earns more is halved, leaving women with less eligible men. At the same time, the women at the top of the society, see extremely less men, as there's noone above them in status to chase. It becomes a catch 22, where you get something to complain about if you have equal opportunity, and something to complain about if you don't. I'm all for equal wage and opportunity as it provides more freedom for everyone. However noone is discussing it's cons…

Men need to stand up against the bullies and take back the society we built, single handedly. We need to share things equally. The problem is defining equality, and the feminists response to it is ranging from fairly equal to full out SJW "No, it's our turn to be on top now" like it's some kind of idiotic zero sum game, all the while trying to prevent any debate which doesn't display feminist virtue signalling.
/r/MensRights30/09/17 12:42 PM

That's great, but you're not exactly making that opinion apparent when you write things like: if men were simply more selective your kind would see our society crumble etc. Perhaps you could choose your words in a way that more closely respond what your views are. Let's talk about this: You simply have a victim complex My mom tried to take sole custody of me despite my dad being a great guy. He continuously got fought back by the court, he had to repeatedly move closer to my mom who kept moving …

/r/MensRights28/09/17 03:29 PM

Indeed, let's. But, again, if men were simply more selective in choosing partners You mean like how women need to just stop dating abusive men? Stop pretending that making bad decisions around your partner is a gender specific issue.

People only try to delegitimatize MRA's because they think that by not being feminists we're supposed to oppose equality, which is ridiculous. Tried arguing with people about it here on reddit a few days ago, and sometimes it just feels like its slowly eating up my faith in humanity.

Leftists don’t debate issues. That would be a liberal thing to do. Instead they seek to affirm a consensus. You can see republicans do this exact same thing as well! Tribalism isn't unique to any particular group or politic, it's unique to fanatics who only look to their own for confirmation, completely disregarding facts or science. Listen - I'm not american - my take on your "leftists" and "rightists" is fundamentally different - but virtue signalling takes place in pretty much every political…

I really hate how Americans equate liberalism with the left. Tell an American something is liberal or conservative and it's like they see a red flag and just become disagreeable about anything. If you go across the pond to Europe, the economically conservative sometimes call themselves liberals, while being opposed by leftists. It's become such a weird doublethink. Ideas and criterias need to stand on their own merit, not be bogged down by rhetorical side-taking. Men's rights should be incorpora…

Next time point out the no true scotsmans fallacy if this pops up in a conversation. Basically: Person A: "No Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge." Person B: "But my uncle Angus likes sugar with his porridge." Person A: "Ah yes, but no true Scotsman puts sugar on his porridge." Feminists do this shit all the time. Bigots do this shit all the time.

Cyber bullying literally is bullying done through the internet. It is possible to be bullied on the internet and outside of the internet at the same time, by the same people. They're not mutually exclusive. The damage whether through the internet or through real life, is still done. Nah thats not why, in old african and medieval society being fat was attractive, it signalled you had money or a well off family. That's why all those old african statues we keep digging up look like a walmart fatty. Same thing goes for tans with white people. People who work indoors get paler and the people who go on trips get tanned. Boom, people start going to tanning beds. In poor societys (like india) its often the reverse.

Indeed. The faux-nationalist propaganda being spread in the US is chilling, and it's damaging the very words and meanings in their language. But then /u/RavelordNito would be correct about both cases being a 'true scotsman' fallacy, as we can't infer a group a certain behaviour without specifying them more closely than "feminists". Feminists think a lot of things. Not all feminists would agree that physical abuse vs a man doesn't exist, even though some of them certainly do.

No, we have an actual definition of Duluth / Orthodox extremist feminist. But the use of the word 'feminist' in the rest of the context could certainly be misinterpreted as any feminist, not just the extremist type, and that's a bit inflammatory.

People didnt smile in old photos because they considered it 'low class', or for entertainers, and if they were lucky maybe 2-3 pictures were taken of them during their entire lifetime. So that wouldve been a waste of a photo. Didnt help that their teeth were often rotting out. You can see the same thing going on in modern Russia. It's basically telling you to act beta in the bedroom. This will work fine with aggressive girls (when you're already to the point that youre quite clearly making out and such), but this kind of thinking doesn't mesh with the Alpha mindset. That's actually even better. Women above 30 with children are desperate for men. Exercise, go outside, do stuff. Try online dating, the girl im dating right now is from OkCupid.
