Working on moving back to NYC after living in Vermont for the last 22 years. 22 years and 2 divorces 😬 Excited to start fresh back where I belong.

Have done 50-50 tha past 10 years. Initially it was hard but eventually you just accept it and it is what it is. Honestly now that my kids are bigger it’s kind of nice; helps that I get along well with my ex.

Hey man. All I can say is learn from your mistakes and try not to make them in your next relationship. I know its hard not to lash out in anger, but trust me in a year from now if you play it cool and dont fly off the handle, you'll look back and be proud that you were able to move on like an adult. Good luck man. My favorite uncle was in the air force, so Ive always had a soft spot for you guys. it gets better. hold your head up bud.

yes it goes away. Same thing happened to me (5 years ago this august, left me on my birthday!) I got through it, it fucking sucked and I thought I was going to die. We have 50/50 (my kids mean everything to me) and my ex and I get along great now. I think back to when we were married and shudder. Time man, everything takes time (sorry i know thats not what you want to hear)

Its just temporary relief (like booze, weed, etc...) and just prolongs the pain. As hard as it sounds try to keep your pecker dry ;-)

Good luck man, I hope it works out. You sound like a great Dad.

50/50 Dad checking in (from Vermont too!) It gets better. Will still hurt when they're not around but it makes the time you do have with them that much more special. Treat yourself, make yourself a priority and try to stay sober. Im 4 years out. Its still hard, but not as hard as it was. Good Luck.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
