This man comes back, accuses me of being a “cat fish”, accuses me of faking/stealing my identity, tells me my body is fake, my job is fake, my past is fake, my face is fake, The only thing fake about you is your "boyfriend". Block and delete. For real. For life. He had his 2nd and 3rd chances and blew them. It's time you stop giving out chances like handout.

Just... run now. Save your plans for later. It really is time to run, run, run. If he's jealous and somehow knows what you're up to on reddit, chances are he had your phone/computer bugged. I'm no expert, but I've heard there are various apps that make it possible for him to literally check everything without you knowing. Worst case: He knows that you want to leave. He knows why. He tries to win you over - or will lash out when it doesn't work. Thus, run. Things can be replaced, your peace of mi…

I think he checks my Reddit somehow(he doesn’t use Reddit) because his behavior today has done a 180. Very interesting. If you are reading this. Let’s have a chat then. That's highly concerning if he does. Run, lady, run!

AFTER A DAY OR SO of her asking him to take her there. Instead of wondering if he was in the wrong, he should be wondering why he still has a girlfriend. She deserves so much better.

The mere fact that he knows he "could be a monster to women", but "practices so much restraint" instead, makes it obvious that he thinks of all the bad things he could do. Worse, it also shows that it's hard for him to not do them - eg keep on the mask. Seriously, his post deserves a red background indicative of where he's coming from: Red flag county!

Nope. Get packing first while he's out - maybe only the smaller things that he won't notice easily. Don't pack cheap stuff like your toothbrush, that can easily be replaced. And maybe also not your lingerie, or he'll think you're cheating. You can also try to let the laundry (only his stuff with the occasional piece of clothing you own) to mask that you're packing. Just a few ideas, though. I still prefer the "I need space during the current project, I'll be over at my mom's" approach, though.

A break-up now is also the more kind thing for him, as opposed to a bitter divorce a few years from now. Especially now that OP makes twice of what he makes. I mean, she'd probably even have to pay alimony if they divorced. So, if she actually marries that man, it'll be either "give me free labor for life", or "pay for life". Nah, sis. u/Aphor1st, you've seen and recognized the writing on the wall. Now you need to act on it. While it's your choice whether to be direct and end things now or be in…

If you still have "the ick", then you're obviously not ready to date another man yet. Or maybe you just need to look in a different direction. Who knows? But I think you need to be in a place - mentally, physically, emotionally and financially - where you are happy with yourself, and only then can you add a partner to the mix.

Every single time a man does something evil like rape or violence he ALWAYS blames it on “mental health issues” when it’s clearly just male entitlement In case you wondered, male entitlement is a "mental health issue" in and of itself. Or a symptom thereof. Unfortunately, this issue is a serious pandemic, and has been for ages.

Keep three lists: possible red flags (even if it's only something that made you raise your eyebrows - maybe there's a deeper pattern, who knows?), green flags and yellow flags. And I mean yellow flags as in "things to find out ASA"P - by talking to his ex/parents/siblings/friends, by meeting those people in the first place, googling him, looking at his social media and so on. Also, the predatory men will be more likely to go for younger women in their twenties... So, yes, for us older women, they take themselves out. Note: No, I'm not happy this happens to younger women. Not at all. But it is a point in favor of us 40+ types, and deserves to be mentioned. And, yes, standards. You know, this post deeply resonated with me - but it also reminded me of one of my favorite songs. F***ing Perfect It may or may not be meant to apply to everyone, but it seems that it might be more woman-centered than I originally thought. I mean, especially the 2nd stanza applies to only two types of people: People with anxiety or women who have been brainwashed to believe the worst about themselves if they aren't the happy little wifeys mommy McBang maids (to be).

Queen shit, that's what this is. And it surely made his mask slip. There's one thing I don't quite understand, though: While she would go on maternity leave for 6 months and would only get half her salary, she expects him to compensate her for all of it instead of going the usual route of 50-50. I'm not saying she's wrong, I just noticed that. However, apart from that detail, I think the woman in this story got things right. What is racist about claiming that various official sources - people in positions to look into it - say that what is shown on social media is not be what's happening? A while back, here in Germany, there were many reports on social media about a certain group (don't remember which, but some kind of "muslim immigrants") having gang-raped a young girl to death - or gang-raped and later killed her? I'm fuzzy on the details. What I do remember, though, is that there was an outrage. "Why doesn't anybody punish the culprits? Why don't the state-controlled media report on it at all?" It later came to light that it was all a lie orchestrated by Russia - or was it the…

From what I'm hearing, that's a false rumor, though. However, it's hard to tell what's true and what isn't in this situation. As long as he doesn't pressure you about doing anal, I honestly don't see the issue. What if, instead of anal, the thing you didn't want to do was "doggy style", and your partner told you it wasn't better or worse, just different? Or ask yourself if gay men can be HVM because they (most likely) do anal, too. From an evolutionary standpoint, male lives actually are more expendable. Why? If there's a fight (or whatever) decimating a population, and in the end you have 1000 adults left... If you have 100 men and 900 women left, they can have (almost) as many children as 900 men with 900 women. I say almost, because men might still be needed for some things to help raise said children, but if push comes to shove, women can do it on their own. If, however, you have 900 men and 100 women left, they cann o…

The thing is, while this decision might cost them their (scrote) son, it will sure as heck make sure they don't lose their grandson. Did that son really think he could just mistreat his wife, impregnate her and then cheat on her and leave her penniless, and could just go on his merry way with no consequence? I can feel attraction, but it's tied to romantic attraction as well, so it starts as really subtle and becomes nonexistent if I didn't like someone's personality, that's why I didn't believe I could feel it. I think there is a translation problem. Where "Wunde" (German) has a slightly different definition than wound (English), although that's the normal translation. In German, any kind of opening of the skin that shouldn't be there - be it an ulcer, a burn, frostbite, a chemical burn or from a biologically natural cause (like, you know, giving birth - where the placenta was attached to the uterus, that's also something we'd call a "Wunde", but apparently, it's not a wound despite tissue being open a…

If there weren't a wound in the uterus (or several smaller ones), there wouldn't be period blood. If the endometrium was shed like, you know, old skin (epidermis), then there wouldn't be blood involved. Just because you cannot see it because it's inside your body doesn't mean it isn't there. That's like saying you don't believe in viruses because you cannot see them.

I don't think this is merely a hormonal thing, although it may or may not be contributing to the issue. Add to that that it's actually a re-run of his trip one year ago - yeah, right. Apparently, women are super replaceable to him. Sounds like a keeper. /s

It's hard to tell. Look at that gradient here and tell me where yellow ends and orange starts. Then tell me where orange ends and red starts. It's hard, isn't it? If you don't believe it's hard, do it now and mark the exact line where one color starts and the other ends. Then save and do the very same exercise one day later. I doubt the lines will be in the exact same spot. However, there's one thing yellow, orange and red flags most assuredly are not, and that's green flags.

There's "empowerment" vs male objectification of women. Do you really think that women showing their nipples will change anything? Men will still stare at them (and probably masturbate to pics thereof). Women will still be shamed for breastfeeding in public. Maybe in a different way ("Can't you take the baby off your nipple so I get a better view?"), but still shamed. Now, next question: Who benefits from the free nipples? Women? Well, if a woman isn't on the pill she claims to be, she at least won't spread STDs to a partner believing himself protected... If a pregnancy happens (in either case), it's the woman's body that has to deal with it. Not the man's. Same for the psyche. (This applies for all possible outcomes - from termination to actually having the baby.) These are the two main points where "lying about being on the pill'" and "secretly removing a condom during intercourse" differ.

It's not necessary to be super sleepy after a seizure (been there, done that and felt great a couple of minutes afterwards), but it's quite common to be out of it and sleepy afterwards. You're right about the dental hygiene. In many people it just sucks. And, yes, many (most?) of them are male. And why should they care? Society doesn't expect it from them. Women will still kiss them - or maybe they don't want to be kissed in the first place, and that's their go-to defense? One my never know... Toothaches aren't a very fast-acting consequence, but something that "may" come way, way later - thus, to the lazy, it's of no consequence in the moment. Same goes for dental surgeries.

It's not like I'm feeling sorry or depressed about that. But I'm not quite there yet. And maybe I'll never be. We'll see. I'm not set on the goal of having a relationship any more, and haven't been for a long while. And that's okay, too. Besides, I'm developing a radar I previously lacked. I think I want to work more on that one, too.

The kind that wants true equality in all areas - from wages to monetary contributions to household chores and everything else. Sounds quite radical, doesn't it? Wanting the same money for the same work. Wanting to share household chores equally. Wanting to be able to go to a park in the dark without fear of being dragged into the bushes - or gonig to a club without the need to not only supervise your drinks, but also watch out for creepy guys with needles.

Of course he is confused. He clearly communicated his disappointment and pretty much threatened to end the relationship so you'd latch on all the harder, and "make it up to him" somehow. He was going to "get some" - and then some more - if only he could make you feel bad enough about everything. Instead, he got blocked. Something... didn't go according to plan. Correct. I had that talk early on with my daughter - around the age of 11 or 12, I think. "Never post a picture online or send it to someone if you wouldn't plaster it all over your school." That's literally what I told her, explaining to her that, with stuff sent to someone or stuff uploaded, there's literally no privacy, and things could literally end up plastered all over her school. Of course you didn't offend. I've had self-image issues pretty much since before puberty (mine hit rather late...), so I get it. But, eventually, you have to realize that, no matter how beautiful you are, there will always be someone more beautiful. And, for those of us less blessed, we can always choose to look our best - or not. Most of the time, I'm definitely too lazy to go the extra mile for my best look, and that's okay, too.

Trust me, even we European women don't all look like that, and would need plastic surgery to match that standard. And in some cases, even that isn't possible. Small eyes (like mine) are small. Dirty talk doesn't necessarily equal demeaning language... Although way too many people tend to think it does. Dirty talk can mean that your partner tells you in great detail how much he enjoys your reaction while using language that is anything but demeaning. Or a number of other good things. That kind of dirty talk is okay in my book. Being demeaned, however, is an instant "nope, I'm out".

a man can show abusive tendencies much later and mask his true self for a long time I don't think he showed that tendency - or the will to do the face-cake-smash only after the wedding, or the lady wouldn't have felt the need to make it a hard rule that it was not to happen.

That would surely get her into legal trouble. Would it work if she went to the police, told them how she got hold of the watch and left it there (and got a signature stating that she left it there)? Chances are the watch will disappear anyway, but hopefully she would be in the clear...

But it did not matter to them. They just wanted to fuck me. That's the heart of the matter. You being rude just translated into a bigger challenge to them - and, if they'd gotten to fuck you eventually, it would have been more of an accomplishment to them. So, in other words, you seemed "hard to get", thus "more of a prize" and thus more attractive to them due to bragging rights and all that. It's disgusting as heck, but still true.

As someone who doesn't want any more kids (I have a young adult daughter), I agree that my choice is selfish. I don't think I agree with your very premise. There are way too many examples where male "friends" turned lovers/BFs only showed their truly colors when they reached their relationship goal. Also, men usually don't accept that they should not try to get into a female friend's pants. Instead, they lie in wait in order to get there when the opportunity presents itself.

For me, it depends. When I have to start my day early (as in "anytime before noon"), I usually have the choice between 15 more minutes in bed or some basic makeup. 15 minutes in bed always win. You really have no idea. Children - especially if their parents refuse to use bodily punishments - have a lot of power. The power to scream-cry at the top of their lungs for hours on end. I tend to use I-statements when I realize that colleages don't do something (non-crucial) that they should. "I think it's better to do that, and always offer" creates less of a problem than "Colleage should do that, too. It's the correct way to do it." And next thing I know, various colleages hate me for throwing them to the lions.

There's so much dating advice out there on how to argue, and its all bullshit. Trying to figure out your arguing style, doing this or that, using "I" statements. This, so much. I-statements are simply weak and open the door to you getting blamed. Thanks, but no thanks. Say it how it is (unless it's crucial you don't - like when trying to talk your way out of a dangerous situation, or you have to be professional).

If the person you chose not to block is someone you know IRL and have to see pretty much every day (at school/college/work, for example), then I can understand the approach to not block. Because if they cannot blow up your phone, they'll get to you in person. And messages are easier to ignore than someone literally getting in your face.

I've recently had the same epiphany. There just...aren't many. In most superhero stories, there's this love triangle of superhero persona - female love interest - superhero's civilian identity which, naturally, involves all the lies and quite often a lot of stalking. u/Mcccy Yes, this includes Superman, too. I used to be a big fan of the 90's series "Lois and Clark - the New Adventures of Superman". Trust me, it's all there, too.

I also think you need to learn to be an invaluable presence in other people's lives before you can be one for a lover. I think this sentence here is a bit problematic. Because we women have been raised to equal being "an invaluable presence in other people's lives" with doing things for them - be it chores, sex, giving gifts or rides or whatever else they can come up with.

I think that, in most cases, the "fell asleep" excuse mostly happens in the following scenarios: He was chatting to other people at the same time. And eventually forgot about you because one of the other chats proved more... engaging. His wife/girlfriend came home very unexpectedly, and he had to shut everything down in a hurry. Neither scenario is one you want to be dealing with.

I love this simile, it's great. Also keep in mind that - with both plants and mushrooms - there are often sets of twins - one being edible and even delicious, the other being deadly. Like lily-of-the-valley and allium ursinum (wild garlic). Like champignons (agaricus mushrooms) and death cap/cup (amanita phalloides). And sometimes, there are "twins" where one is delicious and the other not - but not poisonous, either. Like strawberries and the fruit of strawberry cinquefoil.

If you seriously want to wait until he's proven guilty, chances are he proves himself guilty on you. So, especially at first, approach them as potential predators. After you consider the vetting to be sufficient and you've seen enough green flags (and no red ones), you can go with the approach of "trust, but verify". Once the verification process has shown you more green flags (and not a single red), you can eventually start to trust them to be innocent. However, trust cannot be freely given, tr…

Sex tourism as well as "the guy next door" just "visiting the local brothel" exist. Sexual coercion exists. I must admit, during school "discussions" where everyone was of the same opinion, I sometimes played the devil's advocate to make things less boring. I mean, a "discussion" where everyone agrees from the first minute and everyone starts rehashing the same arguments is, at the very least, not a discussion and at worst boring indoctrination. Sometimes, it also helped to view things in a different light and shed light on the things that would have been ignored without opposition.

She called a nurse, and a male nurse (or nursing student?) appeared to tell her she'd have to wait until after the ward round. Most women around the globe grew up in this environment. Most women grew up surrounded by LVMs and this is our "normal", hence why we can't see the blatant lies and glaring red flags. We didn't see enough truthful men to have a frame of reference. We are desensitized and often unintentionally ignore red flags because it is "normal" to us. Even if you're a spontaneous person, you need to do at least a leetle bit of planning. Plan on bringing an umbrella if you want to go on a walk and it might rain. Plan on when to go to the cinema to catch the movie you want to see. Plan to bring enough money to pay for whatever you're going to do, how to get there and back, when to leave to be punctual... You get the idea. What he told you with his answer is literally that he doesn't intend to put in any effort at all. Guy's a keeper, definitely…

All his health issues are, in truth, only one: He's a hypochondriac. And he always has "issues" that are very hard, if not impossible to prove or disprove. I think it's less gaslighting - making her think she's in the wrong - and more invalidating her needs, wants and grievances. If you have to do everything nice for yourself by yourself, and also do everything around the house yourself, what do you need a BF/husband for? Exactly. They make their own existence in their own home unnecessary. Which is probably part of why divorces are always on the rise.

I must admit, I did try shaving everything down there in my late teens (outside of a relationship, just for me). It does have some small benefits because, well, the skin under all that hair is really sensitive, and everything you normally feel, you feel at least 100% enhanced. However, eventually that effect wears off. Plus, the hair comes back - which is an itchy process.

I must admit, I've given this (for me hypothetical) scenario more thought than I should. And come up with the following solution: 1) First of all, I don't shave everything down there. It's horribly itchy when it grows back, and if I shave it again, I'm full of even itchier little pimples. The thing about autists is that they're much more logical than neurotpyical people. And what they can't do with logic, they do with routines they have established over the course of their life. LVM/NVM tend to ignore the actual criticism. They won't improve, no matter how often you tell them what they're doing wrong. Or they "try" and willfully fail, using learned helplessness/incompetence. Like mopping most of the floor, but not the corners/stairs...

My last ex clearly exhibited your #1 and #4 issues. Also some covert #3 whenever he was expected to do something, like *gasp* being a parent to our daughter. I'm not sure about #2, but he sure partook in their (shitty) investments - or at least followed their example. However, he grew up as the (single) child of married parents. And, yes, the parents were married until death parted them. I think these issues are much more prominent in families with a narc mother, where everything has to be just …

If you're living with my alternative - debilitating cramps every month that often are debilitating even with a double dose pain killers - then giving birth is not that bad. And I tore all around, one tear definitely went to the outskirts of my clit, too... Another one through my right inner labia - and with that one, the stitches couldn't keep it together. But even a split labia doesn't really bother me at all. Saying birth isn't that bad (with proper medical care) is like saying traffic isn't a…

I'd probably have given him the money in change. $0.01 to $0.05. Have fun counting - and counting right! That would have taken some time - and if he hadn't been able to count right, he'd have shown his idiocy (apart from being an ass) on national television, as well.

Uhm, tell that to someone who tore in every direction but that one. Yeah, when the midwife realized, she made the "cut" (I know it has a fancy-ass name, but forgot it...), but I still needed to be stitched up in two or three other directions as well... Still, this stuff heals. It was itchy for quite a while, but even that passed. Eventually. Honestly, I couldn't care less about "diamond" or not. But buying something that'll lose most of it value as soon as you bought it is just a bad investment. Instead of a ring that costs x thousand dollars when bought (and can be sold for 2x hundred dollars if you're lucky), I'd rather take a great honeymoon, (the basis for) a down payment for a house/apartment or the like.

While it's probably true that many people with older view don't accept being childfree as a valid life choice (in contrast to "bad luck", a medical issue or whatever), there are also too many women whose life for literally decades revolved about nothing (much) but their job (which, in the case of your coworkers, is the same as yours), their husband and their child(ren). They literally don't have anything else to talk about, and the job is an old hat to you anyway - or so they might figure.

If you work 40 hour weeks and we estimate that a month has 4 weeks, she'll even get to 1600 there - plus free food, free health insurance and other benefits. (I just looked it up for the US, just to be clear.) She can shower there, thereby reducing her own cost of living (for hot water, some of her food...) Never have PIV sex with anyone before he gave you an orgasm. Because, if you didn't get one before, you'll most likely not get one during. Best case scenario (if you don't heed that rule of thumb), you'll get the orgasm after - when you take matters into your own hands.

At my age (early 40s), I don't want to start a family (already have an adult daughter), so I don't really see a benefit in marriage for myself at the moment. Then again, I'm not considering other arrangements, either, so take this with a grain of salt. But let's be honest: If you are self-sufficient (especially financially), you don't need to get married - and might even get screwed over by having to pay alimony if you get divorced. Yes, there are some tax benefits, but I only know about those i…

That is, if she even makes it. I dare say that the boat is not within a mile of solid land when they start getting handsy and worse. Try swimming that. Maybe even in the dark. Good luck.

It doesn't really suprise me. For women, rushing into these new roles was rushing into equality and, yes, freedom. For men, filling these new roles is often associated with being emasculated (at least by their peers), being less than their fathers and grandfathers (because it's women's work, dammit) and being paid less (because traditionally female jobs have traditionally lesser pay as a rule). Of course they don't like it.

Well, considering how toxic some of the male leads in romcoms are, I wouldn't dare say romcoms are healthy, either... But unfortunatley, both porn and romcoms work to men's benefit and women's detriment.

You know, try to get your mother to use OLD, if only to see what happens. (If she's in a relationship, tell her it's not to actually date someone, but to see what's out there.) How many dick pics she gets, how many guys begging for nudes, and so on. Maybe she'll lay off you then.

Not to mention that anal carries greater risk of transferring STDs - or, rather, getting them transferred. Yes, this includes HIV. It's because anal sex is more likely to cause minor wounds (microscopic?), so germs have an easier time getting into your body. Just something to keep in mind.

There's a saying in my native language that can be translated as "don't throw good money after bad one", meaning that if you invested in someone or something and it didn't pan out, you shouldn't invest even more money in the same thing/person. I think the same can be said about time. Don't waste more time on someone if the last X years already were a waste of time in the first place. It doesn't get better.

Nah, he's not working the bare minimum to have more time for you. He's working the bare minimum because he's lazy. And, just as an aside, you probably cannot get a job like his because you don't have parents like his who're willing to subsidize you. Last but not least, he wasn't sacrificing for you (plural) in any way, he was just being his lazy and entitled self. You did the right thing.

Amen to that! OurMother, who art on earth, hallowed be thy name; thy queendom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily dose of confidence; and forgive us our self-doubts, as we forgive those who criticize us ; and distract us not from our values with LVM, but help them truly become HVM for us and our descendants. Amen.

Just read your title, and the answer is: He's trying to get sympathy points as well as project intimacy. At the same time, he lets you know he's a work in progress and needs all your help and understanding. Stay away. And, no, I wouldn't say this if you had known each other for a while. But on the second date? Nah, sis.

The 100% best way to not be taken advantage of by older men is to stay away from them. Seriously. When you're less than 30 and look young, men will flock to you because of it. And try to get you to have sex with them. This gets less over time. However, you're still young and - believe it or not - you can pretty easily be influenced because "you're keeping an open mind" and "you're not set in your ways" yet. Older men like younger women partly because of that, too. Because this way, they have an …

That's what happened to me. Was raised with pretty little faith, but loosely based on Christian values. Had religious education (first protestant, later catholic - I changed courses once I was allowed to due to the teacher being hopeless), tried to discover faith in other places (various churches) - and then started to read the old testament. Which made me realize once and for all that Christianity is not for me.

Eeeewwww. Just eeewww. I hate it when old people decide to have (more) children. I mean, the guy is 61. By the time his youngest child will start university, he'll be around 80 - if he's still alive by then. Which is a big if. A woman's biological clock may be more obvious (due to menopause), but men shouldn't have babies at that age, either.

Then a scrote asks me about my family on OLD. I decide to lie: my family supports me and we have a great, loving relationship. He proceeded to NAG THE FUCK OUT OF ME for not having daddy issues. "I usually do not get along well with people like this" So, he doesn't usually get along with women who have a great relationship with their family. He literally told you that he's a creep who wants a helpless she-victim he can terrorize to his heart's content because she has nowhere else to go. Edited t…

No personal experience with that, either. But I'd be so, so tempted to nitpick every little thing that's more or less wrong with the dick in the pic. Too small, too slender, too much/little curve... and is that dirt I see there? Dude, get some soap and water - and a washcloth...

Sometimes, you also only need to hear (or read, as the case may be) that what you're feeling/thinking is something other people agree with. That you're not going nuts with "crazy demands" or "being hysteric/unreasonable". And sometimes, you know that something is wrong, but just can't put it into words adequately.

The thing is this: When a woman doesn't orgasm from PIV, the man will always claim that she's frigid - or, in manspeak, "a cold bitch", and that she should be lucky to have (had) him. However, this is far from the truth. First, the majority of women cannot orgasm from mere PIV. That's probably why we all know there's more to sex than PIV. Second, most men are just unable to satisfy a woman and blame it all on her. "But every other woman I've ever been with actually came." No, she didn't. But wom…

Totally. When my daughter entered an age where early dating was a possibility, I told her (to her embarrassment) that no guy who cannot give her an orgasm beforehand should ever get to go all the way. I still stand by that advice. No orgasm, no PIV. (And, no, no anal, no head, no whatever else they fantasize about...)

When I was barely out of my teens, the mother of my then boyfriend of one year seemed to see me as "DIL material" and proceeded to explain to me how her darling son likes his breakfast and lunch (for work) prepared. I was... totally weirded out. Relationship didn't last much longer, but for different reasons. (Because, no, "do as I say now, or we're over" is not an argument for compliance. It's an argument for a break-up.)

Avoid men that are at a later stage in life than you. They know life better, and have learned to manipulate younger women. They also prey on younger women because older women know to avoid their type. If you're interested in a guy, always make sure you also like his mother and her values. Because his values will eventually turn out to be just like hers. She's the one doing all the household chores? Well, that will be expected to be your job in a relationship with her son. Never ever give up your…
