Okay, I created a new thread here: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/comments/f9brjd/a_common_thread_between_black_women_married_to_hvm/

There are a lot of black women who lurk here too. There was a recent post about a black woman who wanted to get surgery so she wasn't "the ugly black girl" anymore. I think women like that need to hear this. How would you prefer for me to word my post?

I also have a deep fear of sounding like a Karen. Don't! Karen is a lie!

Okay then conversion rates are playing a role here too. 1 USD = 1.33 CAD which means you make $21.80 USD per hour.

when you’re searching for love, you are just manifesting lovelessness That's definitely what it feels like. It was scary to step away from it for a second. Took some time to adjust but eventually I started to feel at peace with this new existence :)

Awesome, we'll be here to support you in any outcome :) It's all about learning and forums like this help us learn from each other easily.

I think people are just more critical here in general and for good reason of course! But clearly we don't have the full picture so it can be hard to judge. If you're up to snuff with most of what's written in the wiki and handbook and you feel good with him (not in the addict way but in the secure relationship way) then you're all good :)

This was unexpectedly educational. I think I grew up during the PEAK of "cool-girl" (2000s) and I may have been influenced by this unwritten misogyny towards the "girly girl" (including my own inner girly-girl).

It's more like the top 5% of black women (regardless of what features or skin tone they have) are attractive to many men while the top 20% of all other races are attractive. Of course we can be attractive but the standard for us is WAY higher. In addition, many men (regardless of how physically attractive they think we are) don't see us as full humans. We are stereotyped all the time and this makes it harder for people to truly SEE and appreciate us.

Once got an angry PM from a male feminist academic because I agreed that men should not call themselves feminists but rather allies. He flaunted his academic background as justification that my opinion is invalid and I should shut up.

Sounds like he wants to open up the relationship for obvious reasons. LDRs are hard. I don't think starting off a relationship LDR and non-monogamous would work out well long term if you want a marriage and kids and all that.

I agree, there are male-apologists of every creed but this woman's talking about having sex with men. A lesbian wouldn't be talking about that.

She's not a lesbian. Her profile says she's bisexual. It's fairly common for people in the LGB+ community to misuse the word gay. I used to do it too (as a bisexual person). The new LGB movement is working towards putting an end to that though. Let's leave the word "gay" to the homosexual men it belongs to.

I think the idea she was trying to get across is that being in a "monogamous" relationship with a partner who is constantly using porn is similar to being in a non-monogamous relationship. They're literally orgasming to the image of another woman. Check out r/PornFreeRelationships to learn more about this.

I hear the UK is where it's at. I'm in Canada. I think we're struggling with the same issues America is struggling with. Dating from black majority countries can also be good (they're already used to black women) but be careful that they're not just using you for a visa or take on too many bad habits from their cultures (e.g. many African cultures are very patriarchal).

I'm starting to think most people don't want "real" when looking for love. Most people are just looking for fantasy and being emotionally distant is part of that fantasy. I don't blame them. Reality is boring.

In what context do you mean by "bad men"? Mostly, in regards to how well they treat women.

So many regrets. I get what you mean! I recommend re-reading the comments in this post. A lot of great advice has been given here. Here's a section of one I found particularly helpful: Do a little research online on making lifestyle changes, the psychology of that process, and make each day’s goals your primary focus. Panning out and looking at everything that needs to change can be overwhelming. But broken down to everyday tasks, you can totally get it done.

Women are not a fantastical escape from men. Lesbian and bisexual women come with a lot of their own issues too especially due to the trauma of growing up in a homophobic, misogynist, and sexist world. I'd assume that on average, women would be less of a burden than men but to assume you're escaping the pain of love by dating women is a mistake. Given that, I recommend posting to r/truebisexuals for more insight on exploring your sexuality safely and respectfully.

Force attractive women (sometimes several) into marriage with ugly scrotes in exchange for financial security. I can see this happening but do you have any references? Has this been discussed in feminist academia or is it just a general speculation?

Mm hm, I noticed I get more matches when I don't list my sexuality, bisexual, on my dating profiles. A lot of lesbians aren't interested in dating bisexual women. Hell, even some bisexual women don't want to date bisexuals because they think they're the exception and most bisexuals aren't actually interested in women or otherwise find the "purity" of lesbians more appealing.

Can't always tell just how deep it runs from looks alone though. However, I can agree there is a correlation.

Sunscreen is important also because sun damage (even mild damage) speeds aging. Exercising tends to improve the look of skin.

I've hardly spent time here but the gist I got was: A low value man makes you feel low value A high value man makes you feel high value Money won't stop a man from treating you like you're worthless.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/01/20 05:15 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
