Hello Ladies of r/AskFDS

I have for some time now been considering starting to date, never been in a relationship before and therefore turn to the ladies here to give me some advice.

So, some info first. I am a 22-year-old guy and just recently entered the Job marked. I am a Trade school educated and have a job within the field I got educated in, I also have a second job that is part-time to make some extra money. Most of my money that does not go into bills and necessities goes into saving, as I plan to move out of my dad’s house and get an apartment of my own. I would have moved out already, but Covid-19 came along and messed that up.

I have since the start of 2020 done the new year new me thing. I have started to exercise by going to the gym (now home workouts) and tried different hobbies, I find woodworking quite fun and have done plenty of that during the quarantine. I have also begun to listen to audiobooks and read books, will read anything really, but I have raided my dad’s history book collection after finding that interesting.

Also, I have managed to recruit my grandmother into teaching me how to cook, so I got that box checked as well. As I have been lurking here for a little while I have seen some of the advice you have given before and have taken them to heart. Porn is no longer a part of my life, I have been sober for almost a month now… I read some of the links that have been given out here before and to be honest I feel disgusted by myself, like why did I not learn this in school?

I am also considering going to therapy for some issues that I have, mainly I have night terrors from my childhood that come once in a while and I need to get that stuff squared away before I start dating.

I also have started to eat healthier as well now, and with learning how to cook I have been given some chores in the kitchen when its time to make dinner… I am only allowed at the moments to chop up the vegetables though ☹

Work-wise not much has happened since the quarantine started, but I can work somewhat from home, the part-time job is on hold until something changes with the rules here in Norway about the quarantine

But I turn to you Ladies to give me some advice to what I can do further myself to be a better human being…. I do not just want to seem like a better human being…. I want to be one to the best of my abilities.

Sorry if my English is bad.... Its a work in progress.

Edit.

Sorry for taking so long to respond, real-life problems got in the way...
