Yeah that happened, castrations happened, and murders happened. All so the men at the top could keep their place at the top. Their society was dwindling and struggling because of it. Enforced monogamy was their only hope to turn things around.

Similar thing when you look piligamist sects. The men in power push out, put down, and even kill rival males. This is the number 1 reason why the Mormon church gave up polygamy. They claim it was the government or inspired by God, but the records show the leaders knew polygamy was unsustainable and would be the end of their religion and society. The government pressure was just the cover they needed to make the change.

As an individual man your only move left is not to play the game. As a collective men could wage war and take it back as has been done throughout history, but that won't happen until a higher percentage of men are losing in the current system. Once that happens it's over for life as we know it. When will that happen? Who knows, but history tells us it will happen at some point. All empires fall eventually.

With modern laws and social norms pushed by the feminist agenda their isn't much that can be done.

I agree with you, but I think your outcome of women addicted to social media and men addicted to porn is just a symptom not the actual problem. IMO the problem is men are not becoming the type of men women want and women are not becoming the type of women men want. It starts with obesity. Everyone is fat, and most people aren't attracted to fat people. Second all the me too, social justice, political correctness, etc of our society has driven people to be neurotic and fearful of social backlash …

There is some truth to that as well.

Grew up both religious and conservative. Your points are true, but the difference compared with the past is these religious girls are no different from the non-religious. They just put up a front to attract a religious man. Divorce among my religious peers is just as high as my non-religious peers. Most of the religious girls I dated were not virgins, but they sure would act like it around everyone.

I agree. If women are judged for their pasts then so should men.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 03:13 PM

If you have to purchase love and sex then might as well be up front about it. Marrying a women that wants cash and prizes in exchange for sex and love is a great way to find yourself divorced and giving her half your stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 03:11 PM

That only works for a small percentage of men. The rest are left with scraps, leftovers or nothing no matter how hard they try.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 03:07 PM

Because instinctively women feel like they should be getting something in exchange for sex. When it is a pump and dump it feels like she got robbed.

Aka some get it for who they are while others pay for it with money, gifts, etc. If you can't get it for who you are why would you ever want to pay for it with marriage? You are just setting yourself up to be used and discarded whenever she chooses. Your better off just paying for it with cash and walking away on your own terms.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/20 04:45 AM
12

And some men are forced to pay while a small few get it for free. Of course the men who are forced to pay are going to be upset when they learn they clearly paid for something others got for free.

Have you read the posts on this very subreddit? Women all over the place are stating men have to bring more than just sex. Just the other day on here a women said sex for women requires more than just sex from men. It requires money, time or gifts and that is just the way it is. If women are going to put a price on sex for some men and not others of course the men who are forced to pay the price are going to feel cheated when they find out other men got it for free.

Yes some are mad. Most get over it and stop being mad. Some will always just be mad and that is their right.. Feminist complained as well. People dismissed them originally as well, but look where we are now.

The pendulum has swung so far away from any control or power for the average man today. His only option to oppose things is just not to participate. That doesn't mean he can't be angry, upset, hurt, or even blame women. So yes many men are choosing to opt out in one way or another, but many aren't happy about it. It is their only move left.

The issue is under current laws and social norms men can't win. The only option men have left is don't play the game, hence MGTOW popularity growing.

Exactly and many guys raised like I was are not made aware of all the risks and true nature of women. They make decisions based on what religious leaders tell them and then wonder why their lives are miserable.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 06:06 PM

I understand there is a "transaction" and women want more than just sex in that transaction, at least from some guys. I'm just pointing out to the younger guys on this sub that sex is never just sex for women. They are biologically programed to expect more than just sex. It is part of their nature and just the way women are built. With that information in hand realize that you are paying for sex with a woman in one way or the other. You then decide how much you are willing to pay for that sex. K…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/12/20 02:00 PM

Did you not read the OP? She broke it down to a transaction not me. She said it wasn't worth the effort or potential downsides without some form of compensation. If that is how most women feel, based on the posts score I assume many do, then who is treating who as an object in her post? Who is treating the person they "love" as a means to get what they want? If women agree with this comment then sex and love is a commodity to them and I should be treating it the same.

So when does the lying stop? If everyone is lying no one can be trusted.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/19 10:42 PM

If women are going to lie about things that matter to men then women shouldn't be surprised when men lie to women about things that matter to them. This goes on long enough and eventually men don't trust women and women don't trust men. I would argue we are already headed that way and the result is fewer and fewer marriages.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/19 10:18 PM

Just don't lie about or hide the slut/wild phase when it comes time to find a husband. The issue for many men is they are disgusted by that behavior, but women lie about it until the man is trapped in a marriage.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/19 07:41 PM

Men and society in general have given women the green light to behave in this way. Just because a specific guy is unhappy about it doesn't mean the woman takes any legal or social consequences for her actions. Society has already said her behavior is acceptable.

Fat people is the cause for young men being impotent. The women are fat and so are the men. This makes physical attraction less, health problems go up, testosterone levels suffer. Then add in all the metoo movement and other social changes in the wake and you have a large group of fat, unhealthy and dysfunctional men.

This is a big part no doubt, but there is more to it. Men have lost most of their power in dating and relationships. The only real power men have left is walking away. As a result the risks for relationships have gone up, rewards have gone down, and men have little power. So is it any surprise men are checking out and instead are doing other things with their lives?

Agreed. The government shouldn't get involved, but then I believe the government should stay out of all relationships, including marriage. So for me if they are going to interject themselves into one part of relationships why not other parts?

Life long monogamy has equal constraints on men and women, but serial monogamy, which is what we have today, is a preferred female sexual strategy.

It's really simple. Male and female sexual strategies are different and opposed to one another. Societal changes have freed most women from many of the traditional constraints placed on their sexual strategy. Society has not done the same for most men. In fact in many ways society has increased the constraints on the male sexual strategy. With many of these being the consequences from freeing women of their constraints. So of course we understand why women do what they do, but they are doing it …

It's more than just reproduction for women because even if they didn't reproduce they needed security from "bad men" . This security is now just a default provided by society with little or no direct cost to the woman.

My response in another tread. The problem we have in society is there are really very few restraints on female nature and sexual strategy whereas historically women were a lot more reliant on the men in their lives. Biology enslaved men to women with sex drives and biology enslaved women to men for security and support. Society has changed and women are provided support and security for little or no cost to them, but men have not been given the same benefits by society, sex is still expensive an…

Men are raised from an early age to believe their role in life is to sacrifice for their wives and children. We are brought up being told if it comes to it we are expected to die for them, work ourselves into an early grave for them, and sacrifice our own happiness for them. This is the message we get from a very early age. It's a lot like brainwashing or grooming. It takes a lot of time, effort and pain to reprogram from that.

I have had a few younger ones offer sex, but not that fast. Usually months or years into working together. The older ones though are very forward with the flirting. Things like sitting on your desk, touching you, bumping into you in the hall. Then a few are crazy forward like inviting you to drinks, sending explicit emails/texts, or in your example offering sex.

Most men can't get reliable access to sex without a relationship. I entered my LTRs because that was what was expected of me. It starts out as a short term thing, but the woman just keeps asking for more and more commitment and some even give ultimatums. In the past society required both men and women to sacrifice their biological imperatives for the betterment of society. You can have all the standards you want. That is not the issue. The issue is human biology and how do we craft a society around that biology that gives the most good to the most amount of people. For many men the societal changes are making the reward for winning so little and the consequences of failure so great that the game is no longer worth playing. Many of these men could be winners, but the cost benefit analysis of the whole thing is greatly in the red.

The male and female imperatives are at odds. Today women have won, and it has come at the cost of the male imperative. This is why so many men are starting to walk away from all the traditional gender roles, aka masculinity. The reward for taking on all those masculine responsibilities has been greatly reduced or eliminated. If men in mass start taking control again you can bet it will be at the expense of the female imperative.

I'm not advocating women have sex when they don't want to. I doubt many men can relate to the female experience, but I doubt many females can relate to the male experience either. That is my point. If your title was "Porn and the myth of female sexual availability to the average man" I would have agreed with you. Some men have abundance of female sexuality, but most men do not.

Mgtow is very basic. The ROI on ltr and marriage no longer pencils so avoid them at all cost.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/19 02:51 AM

It is definitely part of it, but society also pushes men to take these chances and risks, and if you don't take these chances in life you are going to fail. Men are taught from a young age to "man up" "big boys don't cry" "fear is for the weak" etc. Women are not pushed in these same ways culturally. So yes there is biological difference, but there are also differences in societal expectations.

Nothing wrong with hypergamy. The problem is feminism has fought to remove as many checks and balances that once existed in society. We are now left with a society that basically says women and anything they want is good, men and anything they want that does not appease the female strategy is bad.

Many women have this same attitude. That is why these gender arguments tend to go no where. Too many men will give women everything they want with little in return. As a result you either become one of the shitty men and get what you want or you walk away. Not a lot of room for middle ground.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/19 08:24 AM

You don't even have to swear off women to be mgtow. Many of the mgtow men still engage in sex and short term relationships with women. There are no rules to the mgtow movement. It means doing what makes you happy and avoiding the society obligations and gender roles placed on men.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/19 07:14 AM
3

That is just a means for like-minded individuals to talk about their experiences. If that is your definition of a group then fine. The biggest reason the online forums get so much attention is a lot of men are in the anger phase, many men are dealing with the legal system, and let's face it men think with their dicks and want a reminder of why they went mgtow in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/19 05:55 AM

It's more than being a "confirmed bachelor" it's ignoring all the pressures society puts on men to conform to a gender role. It's actually very similar to feminist movement for women. Women wanted to break free of their gender role and now men are doing the same.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/19 01:22 AM

What many people miss about mgtow is that it's different for every guy. There are no guidelines or rules. The premise is do what truly makes you happy and forget all the responsibilities and restrictions society wants you to freely take on. For many men this means avoiding women completely. For others that might mean sex is fine, but just not marriage. The point is to do what makes you happy. Many of the older mgtow men do warn about women and the current legal climate to make sure men are aware…

/r/PurplePillDebate19/01/19 08:50 PM

This is exactly why men and women can't relate to one another. The lived experiences of the two are just so wildly different that we can't relate. To most men you complaining about dating be hard with that laundry list of requirements is like a rich person complaining that car shopping is hard because they can't decide between the BMW or the Mercedes-Benz.

/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/19 01:36 AM

I see it daily at work. The few women we have are young, single and good looking. They are constantly flirting with all the men up to age 40-45. They get them to do favors like carry things, clean things, etc all the time. On occasion it gets bigger than that and it's asking for lunch, drive them places, borrow money, or even to do their jobs.

There is no going back not without major pain. What's more likely to happen IMO is population declines and economic slowing. This could lead to an all out economic collapse, but more than likely my guess is the economy will just grind slower and slower increasing our inequality and/or a major war.

Yes this is human nature, but if we want a functioning society we have to make some of these natural outcomes less unfair. If we fail this for enough people they see no benefit to society and at best disengage or worse fight to destroy it. Now that doesn't mean we have to cater to everyone's wishes, but society needs to provide some tangible benefit for most people or we risk individual self-interest destroying society.

This is why most traditional societies and religions have men as providers, leaders, etc. It sets men up in a favorable way to attract women which then creates stable families. Agree almost entirely with what you have said. There is very little room for men to escape their gender role if they want a woman to find them sexually attractive and the male gender role is tough to maintain 100% of the time without a support system of friends, elders, etc.

The day the genders can compromise is the day humans cease to exist. I don't agree with this. We have always had compromise and will always have compromise. You can't get rid of female hypergamy or male polygamy, these are hard wired into us as humans. What society can do is punish/reward for specific behavior. Society used to have a lot of rules around dating, marriage, and families. If you broke those rules society punished you accordingly. We have started to remove many of those rules. Mgtow is a response to the current political, social, and legal climate of today. Many men after finding the red pill learn that the deck is stacked against them. As a result they play the game on there own terms which for many means avoiding relationships with women, others just won't get involved long term with a woman. How that plays out is different for every man.

Women and men sacrifice different things. Women sacrifice all the might have been things you list. Men typically sacrifice money, time, and flexibility. Which one is worse depends on your point of view.

Those of us raised in strict religions didn't have those experiences and if we did we were guilted, shamed, and punished for them.

This right here is a perfect example. Men and women have certain biological advantages and disadvantages. Women have fought for society to equalize them with men and in some cases give them an artificial advantage. Men are starting to call for the same societal changes to equalize them with women.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/18 06:29 PM

Never for most men. Society/religion wanted to control people. The best way to do this with men was through sex. This leads to society/religion controlling women so the majority of men get access to more sex if they meet the demands of society/religion. This keeps both men and women in check.

Most of the men aren't extremely fit. They could stand to lose 20-30 pounds, but most of the women are 40+ pounds overweight. I think demographic and location makes a big difference. Most couples I know are 35+, the women have had 3+ kids, and the men are usually active outdoors.

Femism hasn't changed a woman's ability to make stupid choices. It has removed a lot of the consequences. The last part is what men get upset about. Women today seem to want their cake and eat it too. Men are just waking up to the raw deal they are getting which means more complaining.

I mentioned nothing about good or bad. I only stated that once you introduce restrictions you no longer have a free market. At that point the question becomes what restrictions do we want and what would make it as fair as possible to all everyone.

Yes it does. The definition from google says "an economic system in which prices are determined by unrestricted competition between privately owned businesses." The moment you introduce any regulation you have introduced a restriction which by definition makes it no longer a free market.

I agree with your general theme, but we are also trying to build and maintain a society. We regulate and punish certain sexual strategy behaviors and not others. If people start feeling like the systems no longer benefit them they reduce or stop participating in those systems. Enough people do this and the system becomes unstable and eventually collapses. We see signs of this already with people not working, not getting married, not having kids, not buying houses, etc. Is it bad right now? Proba…
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/18 02:30 PM

The system has to be stable, benefit people in ways they value, and incentivise people to build and contribute. You remove any one of these and the system starts to fall apart. Today many of the traditional benefits and incentives have been reduced if not completely removed. As a result people participate less or take more than they give, which results in less stability. Things continue long enough without a correction and the systems fail.

Polygamy was outlawed because it destabilizes society. Sure it is the ultimate male sexual strategy, but it disenfranchises a large portion of the male population. This is not what you want to have happen if you want those males to be productive in society. I doubt we will see it ever return. If you want to see more of the problems with a polygamous society read Mormon history.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/03/18 05:28 AM

Didn't say that, but the environment we evolved in is much different from our current environment. If we want a stable and productive society we should encourage behavior that leads to a stable and productive society and discourage/punish behavior that doesn't.

Society lies to men so he will continue to fill his role. There is a vested interest in keeping men "productive" in society. Without that lie and carrot we would see men just check out. Look at millennial me, many of them are "failing to launch." See the issue isn't about the impregnation. The issue is about supporting the child if/when it comes. We can't change biology. Women and men have certain biological certainties and we can't change those. What we can change is society and the "rules" for supporting with the child. If we want to talk about only biological then a man can just walk away from a woman he impregnates. Society has taken that biological right away from him though. So the discussion is not about biology. The discussion is…

The problem with this analogy is what if find she is being molested, but the dad isn't the one doing it? He would be suspect number 1 based on the testimony and circumstances of the discovery. He could then also end up wrongfully convicted, lose his job, forced to register as a sexual offender, etc. Paternity is a clear yes/no test that doesn't result in anyone possibly being arrested, losing jobs, etc.

You want men to take on the burden of wife and children providing for both? Incetivise him to do so. Every relationship is transnational, this is not a gender thing. Women complain all the time that men just don't do "enough" in relationships. In my experience this usually boils down to how each person values their individual contributions. Men and women tend to value contributions differently hence many of these arguments. That doesn't change the fact that relationships are all transnational and if you are getting a perceived bad deal you will leave that relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/02/18 08:29 AM

Sure women are waiting for a man to "come along and make them his." The problem is for many men the cost to make her yours is going up and the reward is going down. Not a good investment and not a good deal.

Maybe the societal changes that have taken place no longer incentivize men for marriage. Marriage has traditionally been a burden placed on men to support women to create families. Historically men were given certain advantages and considerations for taking on that burden. Many of those advantages and considerations have been removed. The cost benefit analysis is in the red for most men. Sure many of them are upset about this, but individually they can't change society. They can also do the cost…

Society puts restrictions on males biological advantages, but doesn't do the same for females. As a result men in general are at a disadvantage vs women in modern society. Society can choose to give men advantges to try and even the playing field or they can choose not to do so, but either way we evolved in an environment that was nothing like our current environment.

/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 07:22 AM

Yeah women fought so they no longer have to settle, but now men have to settle. Like I said in another comment it is nothing more than a power play by women and they are winning. The only option men have left is don't play the game. The rules are not in your favor.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 06:58 AM
1

The problem men face is sex drives. Our drive is so strong especially when we are teens and early 20s. They call it thinking with the wrong head for a reason. Men have a HUGE desire for sex that women don't have this puts them at a major disadvantage. Until they can control that desire they are slaves to what ever women want and expect. Again this is why MGTOW and other such movements are growing.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 06:54 AM
2

The only reason she is able to get that now without fulfilling her own gender role is women/feminists have forced a change. Men were not so lucky however and that same push by women/feminists has only reinforced the male gender roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/02/18 06:49 AM
11

If they want a woman they are forced into those roles. In the dating and marriage realm women hold most the power. If men want a chance they have to conform to what women want. You women say it every day on this sub, you would rather be alone and have no sex then be with a man that doesn't meat your expectations. This is why things like MGTOW are gaining steam. The only real power men have left is just don't play the game.

Marriage was always a burden put on men to support women in the effort to have a family. This used to gain men privileges and benefits in society, but those are going away if not completely gone. Why would a man chose to take on a burden that no longer has any advantages? Plain and simple marriage has little to no benefit to men these days.

Feminism's goal was/is to free women from their gender role. The only way they could do that is if they shamed men into maintaining their gender role to provide for the women and give them options. It's completely one side and no wonder a lot of men want nothing to do with it.

Your average American woman needs a dietician and a gym membership not any of the things you listed. All the things you listed are easy low hanging fruit. Not to mention many are hobbies women enjoy.

I have experienced this at work before. Women take criticism much differently then men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/18 08:13 AM

Have you seen the average married woman in America today? That's not putting in much effort. Now I agree the average man is probably no better, but the problem is that average woman isn't looking for an average man.

Yep women have plenty of easy options that can give them a solid boost.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/18 08:05 AM

What does this have to do with what I posted? If anything I take it you agree with me and short of getting rich men can't do much to change their sexual attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/18 08:03 AM

Exactly. Men don't have any easy options for increasing their attractiveness.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/01/18 07:53 AM

A man's only way to make big changes to his attractiveness is to get rich. Sure working out and clothes helps, but they can't change height and masculine features. Money on the other hand gives men a big boost.

This might be some of it, but for most of us it is finding out that society, religion, parents, etc lied to us. The pain and problems we endured could have been avoided or heavily mitigated had we been told the truth from the beginning.

You are selling more than your time. You are selling your energy, talents, skills, and in many professions your physical strength and endurance. In some professions many of us are selling are mental and physical health as well.

Most of us sell our ass in one form or another.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/01/18 05:22 AM

The issue for men is many of us have very strong sex drives. Women in general have a lower drive. Taking no other factors into the equation and men are left wanting sex more than women. Many men then find themselves trying to "barter" for sex. This dynamic puts men at a disadvantage from the beginning. Now we add in other factors like hypergamy, female attraction, etc and a large portion of men have nothing to offer women. This is partly why traditionally men made more money, got jobs first, etc…

This right here. MGTOW is different for every man. The whole point of the movement is to not fall into the trap of doing what society, religion, parents, etc told you to do, but instead make your own path, one that makes you happy.

That is the context that humans evolved in. Things have change and they aren't going back. That doesn't change the fact that this is not the same environment that men and women evolved, so yes things are a mess and will probably get worse before they get better.

This isn't the natural order. For most of history men have controlled women. Only recently has this changed. Both sexes evolved under systems where men controlled women. If anything our current system is the opposite of natural order, and that is why things are such a mess.

You honestly think only women can raise kids? Humans succeed by cooperating with each other. I agree with this but the OP was about if we actually went to war.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/18 01:42 PM

When it comes down to it, men don't control the most important thing of all. The birth of new humans. Women do. Which means men don't have the ultimate power. How do you figure this? We are talking no rules here, all out war. Men could just force women to have kids. There is nothing she can do to stop it. At most she could try to kill herself, but men could even prevent her from doing that if they wanted.

you know what's lonely? Being married to a woman that doesn't even like you anymore and refuses to have sex with you. You are so busy trying to make the relationship work that you have no friends and spend all your time trying to make the relationship work,. (aka keeping her happy)

I work in corporate America, and I have seen so many diversity hires it's crazy. Hiring women with no experience, giving all the day shifts to women because they have kids, requiring the men to do the heavy lifting, climbing, etc because women refuse to do it, all while paying everyone the same because they all have the same job title.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/01/18 03:07 AM

Women have certain biological advantages, especially when it comes to sex, children, and family. The one big advantage men have is physical strength, and society severly punishes men who use that power in inappropriate ways. If all out war started men would no longer be restrained and it would not be good for women.

/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 04:29 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 02:06 AM

Because there are some women who will do it. I think it's remarkably stupid to sign up to be a "perma-girlfriend" and give up your best years to someone who could easily trade in for a younger model-- but there are women who do it. By this same logic wouldn't it be stupid for a man to marry a woman who has given her best years away to other men? And worse has children with other men?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 01:40 AM

It's more than that IMO. The responsibility that came along with marriage is gone. Men nor women are willing to stick it out and work through things anymore. Looking at my parents and grandparents generation and they got married young (grandma was 14, grandpa was 16, parents were very early 20s) and stuck it out with only very rare cases for leaving. Societal values have changed and this type of commitment is no longer something men or women want today. Everyone would rather party in their youth…

/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 12:58 AM

Women aren't giving him anything extra by marrying him. A typical marriage today puts more responsibility on a man, but doesn't do the same for a woman
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 12:57 AM

This is pretty much how I see. Marriage has very few if any upsides for men these days.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 12:54 AM
5

Women have no binding commitment to men these days either. The moment she meets someone better she can leave at anytime. This is the state of marriage these days. That is why I feel the government should just stay out of the marriage business entirely. Let marriage exist for religious reasons only. Any other agreement individuals want to legally entertain should be done under legal contracts with duties and responsibilities spelled out clearly for both parties.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/01/18 12:50 AM

The endgoal is monogamy for women. How does this explain poly women then?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/18 01:16 PM

I completely disagree. Women sometimes just want sex with no commitment.

Yeah i doubt many women know what sexual frustration as a teenage boy feels like either. So you might be frustrated trying to figure out your sexuality there are a large number of boys so sexually frustrated they can't think straight. Who has it worse? It's BS women like casual sex just as much as men. The difference is men can have casual sex with a woman that is 3-4 notches below him and still enjoy it. Most women can't. They shoot for hot 8+ guys because they have the best chance at enjoying the sex with those guys.

Personally I don't think women do it maliciously. They are just looking for someone to support them and once the commit happens she loses sexual desire. She didn't plan for it to happen, but it did. She was just following her own sexual imperative at the time. Having said that the man is still the one being hurt by this. He held up his end of the bargain, but finds himself trapped in this situation where the woman can't uphold her end. It's a raw deal for man. Yes some women maliciously trick me…

My sexual imperative is to have no sex until marriage when I start trying to have children with the man I'm 100% sure will be the father of my children. Do you think society caters to my sexual imperative? yes it does. I grew up in a religion that all but forced this on everyone. You men get all the sex you want from knowing a person for as little as a few weeks and you still find ways to complain. Unbelievable. You can literally leave a woman when you like and get a new one. You make this sound…

Women use and trick me all the time. How many women have tons of sex with men then after the wedding it all dries up? We have entire subreddits dedicated to that topic alone. How many women use men to get pregnant without telling him? Women control their imperatives much better than men already. I call BS on this. Society right now caters to everything a woman could want including her sexual imperative, social status, and security. Society doesn't do the same for men.

Why don't we shame women who "use" or "trick" men in relationships? Instead society tells men it was your fault you let her use you or trick you.

Just like there are multiple levels and subtly to these harassment allegations there are multiple levels and subtly to women's use of sex. Wearing a low cut top, wearing a short skirt, flirting, leading men on, etc are all things women do to get what they want to gain advancement. Women are not all out being prostitutes and sugar babies, but that doesn't mean a lot if not most women aren't using sex and sex appeal to get ahead.

You realize that under your way he could rape a girl and then be like “whelp she never got me to sign anything I’m off the hook” if she’s anti abortion? He should be going to jail and she can give the child up for adoption. The whole point is voluntary consent, and it’s best this happens PRIOR to the problem existing in the first place. I agree, but in the case where it doesn't happen the default should not be consent is given.

Do men with these concerns care about options for consenting to legal parenthood that they don’t have now or do they care about making her abort or keep a baby if they want? Different men want different things. Give him an “opt out” option and that is what is fair to both parties. You haven’t made a good case for why the sole consequences of sex should fall on women. The power I'm talking about is whether a fetus lives or dies. That is 100% a woman's power. Her ability to get an abortion is irrelevant to whether he can consent to legal parenthood under the idea I proposed. See I'm saying the 2 are linked. Because the man has no power over the abortion he should not by default consent to legal parenthood. If he consents to sex that is all he has consented to. If she wants him to consent to legal parenthood then she should be the one who is responsible for get…

Your solution doesn't give him power. My solution doesn't give him power either. Unless we start giving men a say in whether a fetus lives or not then men have no power. In both our hypothetical solutions we are talking about responsibility not power. Who bears the responsibility for supporting the child. My opinion is the party who has no power in the decision should not by default be responsible for the outcome.

if men are so interested in having more "reproductive rights" perhaps they should not be so adamant that the entire responsibility fall on women The problem is biologically women have all the power. Unless the government starts giving men a say on whether women can have an abortion men are at the mercy of women. The person with all the power should have all the responsibility. If the man commits to support her he has plenty of consequences should she get pregnant. If he commits to support her and she accepts this agreement she by default has agreed to give him parental rights. Should he not commit to support her and she gets pregnant then everything would be up to her including whether he gets any rights at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 02:57 AM

She has the entirety of the choice on whether a child is born or not so she should have the entirety of the responsibility to make sure the person she is having sex with will support her or not.

You haven't convinced me it is more fair. If 2 people agree to sex they haven't agreed to be parents. If she wants him to agree to be a parent then she should get that agreement up front.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/12/17 02:01 AM

I like your first option just with one change. The default is no support. The man has to opt in for support before he can legally be forced to support the pregnancy.

Then let them make that choice.

Nothing can be done unless you want to go back to a system that gives men power over women. Biologically women have less desire for men. Which gives them more power. In order to balance this out and give men a reason to contribute to society, men were given power over women financially, politically, and spiritually, but were supposed to take care of and protect women. This has all changed and men no longer have that power over women, but society still takes care of women and protects them. This …

Systemically all the things a man would traditionally offer a woman have been removed or she can now provide for herself. So short of companionship, love/sex, and kids there isn't much a man can offer a woman these days, and even those things she can easily get without any kind of commitment.

but the issue is there is nothing stopping women from using divorce to facility hypergamy. She chooses to leave and pursue someone she perceives to be higher status and there is nothing the husband can do about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 11:18 PM

Divorce is not hypergamy. I never said divorce was hypergamy. What I said was divorce can facility hypergamy. The option to leave is not the same as hypergamy, women aren't trading up after divorce. Therefore this is not hypergamy. The option to leave at any time means women are free to trade up at any time if the option presents itself. Just because a better option never presents itself or she chooses an option that in the end isn't better, that doesn't change the fact that the option was alway…
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 10:55 PM

What's it matter why she left? I'm just talking about the option to leave or trade up. With current marriage as it is women always have the option so when you say women sacrifice hypergamy for marriage that just isn't correct.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 10:03 PM
2

None of that has any impact on her ability to leave at anytime. Hypergamy can backfire and the woman can find herself in a worse situation, but that doesn't change the fact that she always had the option to make a trade.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 09:29 PM

With current marriage laws how are women sacrificing hypergamy? They can trade up down or across at any time with relative easy.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 08:36 PM

Perfectly said. This is why we say men are paying for sex. Most women will not exchange sex for sex, at least not long term. Men then have to offer more than just sex if they want women to stick around
/r/PurplePillDebate22/11/17 01:21 AM

Women invest much less into marriage then men. That is why they can just walk away once it no longer benefits them. Plus most women have a backup guy or know they can have a rebound in no time so again they can invest less into marriage.

This right here is what most men hate about the current smp/rmp. Women are free to spend their 20s shooting for that 1 in 100 shot with Chad. Meanwhile men spend most of their 20s with infrequent if any sex. Then late 20s early 30s these women are finalinly willing to settle for one of those average guys, but he better have a good job, nice car, and bonus points for a house.

Reminds me of a post I saw before talking about romance. Women love romance because for them things just magically happen and she is the center of attention. For men, romance feels more like a job because they are the ones doing all the work. Dating around is the same. Women just have to show up. Men are the ones doing most of the work. This is why as men age they want to settle down. They get tired of the chase and all the work that it requires.

The problem with monogamy is traditionally people who wanted monogamy got married and marriage wasn't something you could just toss aside at a whim. Today however monogamy and marriage suits the female sexual strategy almost perfectly. They make no real sacrifice. Today's monogamy and marriage still doesn't suit the male sexual strategy perfectly so they are making a sacrifice to get monogamy that women are not making. It's no longer a fair trade.

I don't completely disagree with you, but the biggest change is women are no longer reliant on men. Feminism has been systemetically removing male advantages where possible and pushing for the government to provide things that males typically provided in the past. Sadly though men are slaves to their sex drives which makes them reliant on women. The balance of power has completely shifted in favor of women.

No one says they are bad people. They are just not a good investment of your time or resources. There is no doubt that some are diamonds in the rough, but who wants to sort through all the bad ones? Not worth your time. It's a simple sorting algorithm that removes a lot of potential problems from the beginning. The whole societal single mother "problem" is complex, but the basics of it are women are being supported by the government and society when in the past they had to rely on a man to suppo…
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/17 06:22 AM

This has very little to do with the problem. The main issue is, what is good for society is not good for the individual. Women started feminism to push back on and change society because they weren't happy with the expectations put on them. Men are now just starting to do the same thing. As a result society either changes or collapses and something new comes out of the rubble. My money is on collapse, but I think it is still too early to tell.

The reason people avoid being fathers is not because they don't want to be fathers. They avoid it because the cost is too great. Many of us men do realize we can't be single fathers and be successful, but we also realize that marriage is a bad deal for us. Many of us would love to be fathers, but realize the system is not their for our best interests and marriage is a raw deal so we are left with no options and thus opt out.

So me stating that marriage has always been transactional means i have a skewed opinion of the world? Read articles on psychology.com they have plenty of articles talking about the transactional nature of marriage and articles talking about the history of marriage and how it was a business transaction.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/17 05:24 PM

But they aren't. If you have the expectation that your husband will be faithful you would leave if he cheated. The transaction is an exchage of both parties agree to be faithful. If you and your husband agreed he would work and you stay home with the kids, but he loses his job and refuses to get a new one. You again would leave. Relationships are and have always been transactional.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/17 05:10 PM

Marriage has historically always been transactional. Even the Bible contains expectations of both a husband and a wife. Marriage counselors are going to advise couples to talk about expectations and life goals. This is essentially negotiating the terms of the transaction.

Men are forced to play in the female imperative. Men want sex more than women. Ever here the phrase "he who care less has the power" well women care less so they have the power. Now in the last 20-30 years women have the government and legal system on their side as well. Your average man can't win this game. He has biology, government, and the legal system working against him. Good luck with those odds.

The lie I'm referring to is not that civilizations are bad. The lie I'm referring to is the one that tells men to hold up their end of the bargain and women will hold up their end. On average yes it is easier for men to get laid, but if you look at men in smaller groups you will find that most of the men benefiting are at the top of the curve. For the men in the middle it is probably about the same as it has always been, and for the men at the bottom it is worse.

MGTOW to for me is about understanding societal expectations, why they exist, and how they truly impact me. Rather then listen to a religion, political party, etc on what I should do and how I should live my life, I can look at things rationally and decide what I want to participate in and what I want to avoid.

I don't understand how anyone can look at nature and the world around them and not come to a very similar conclusion. Every living thing is in constant competition with every other living thing. That is just how things work. Sure there can be cooperation and mutual benefit at times, but every living thing is looking out for their own self interest first. Too think otherwise is just naive or delusional.

Yes most men will live their lives in some varied state of sexual frustration. It is one of the biggest things young men have to learn how to control. For a man the most ideal situation would be a wife for that deeper emotional connection, and a few rotating women for casual dating and sex. Women aren't going to agree to this arrangement for most men so most men have to settle for what they can get. Since men typically desire sex more than women, women typically dictate what the man will get sex…

Same can be said for men trying to maintain a harem. My comments are aimed more at social and legal consequences for persuing unrestrained male or female nature.

Been shamed for both sides of this. Being too aggressive and not being aggressive enough. IME being shamed for not being aggressive was worse. Women can be pretty brutal when they feel you aren't "masculine enough."

An average man is not having sex with any of those women. On the 1-10 scale those women are all 7+ and are not having casual sex with a man who is a 5.

For me the costs of dates, gifts, etc can add up if you are seeing new people all the time, because women always expect the man to pay in the beginning, but those were always manageable. The big expenses come once the relationship gets more serious. It's the oh we need a new car, we need a new house, now we need new furniture for that house, etc. It's all those expenses that really add up.

I agree with you 100%, but that doesn't mean women aren't selecting men who have the best chance of producing future money and/or status. My guess would be many women are doing it subconsciously without even knowing it.

My sister is the type of woman that drives men to being MGTOW. She doesn't want to work. She wants to be a stay at home mom, but refuses to cook, clean or do much of anything around the house. She is divorced now. She has kids, is overweight and works an entry level job in her mid 30s. She refused to go to school of any kind or learn a trade. She thinks she deserves a man who will "take care of her." I have tried to talk reason into her, but she doesn't want to hear it. She has had a lot of BFs …

You are right they want you to marry another mormon, but they will take any marriage over being single.

Grew up mormon. They want you married for a few reasons. 1) Sex outside of marriage is sin. Get married as soon as you can before you sin. They don't say that in any publications, but I had more than one leader tell me this. The church uses sex to control people, especially men. If they can make you feel like a constant sinner (aka loser) they can use that to break you down and brain wash you. 2) Marriage straps you with responsibilities. You can't go about questioning things or deeply examining…
