That's what I want: to spend $500-$1000 so that I can install a hacked up version of android on my phone, which I use for banking, email, and other sensitive things. Sure.

Mac is overpriced crap. Overpriced, yes, but it's not crap. And it is less overpriced than it is perceived to be since it's very well supported. It's like buying an android phone...2 years updates compared to 4 or 5. Overpriced?...maybe not that much.

Paying for porn in 2020 is the most pathetic thing I've ever heard. Pornhub was gifting its premium service...not worth it even free.

I'm cutting reddit out. I'll do it completely when they finally ban this subreddit. There is so much censorship going on in reddit right now. It's a shadow of what the site used to be.

The Witcher is pretty good. They still have Mad men. But it's slim pickings.

Depends on where you live.

It's based on compound interest and average stock market return. You'd need to invest it in the an index fund and leave it. In reality, you probably wouldn't get a mill(you'd pay taxes at the end, and average stock market return is probably not going to be as good going forward). And in 50 years a million would be worth less, but you'd still have a large networth. http://www.moneychimp.com/calculator/compound_interest_calculator.htm

If I had started in my 20s instead of 30s, I wouldn't have to wait until 50s, but 50, 50-some isn't terrible, particularly compared to most chumps. My own place, enough money to live comfortably, and travel for a couple of months in a year. And if it doesn't work out...at least I gave it a good shot.

The truth is self evident, and most men only figure out it through pain anyway. Tough I'll miss the funny stories, it shouldn't derail any free man from the path.

You don't want to invest as the prices are falling because during a collapse they can go to zero and you're fucked. If you invest in index funds you'll be protected against everything other than a total collapse. If there is total collapse, it wouldn't make a difference if you have money in stock or the money market, because inflation would render it useless. Only material assets would matter(if the state doesn't take it).

Pretty much. Although I do need my watch, and sometimes(but not often), the phone. Paying and searching for the keys takes seconds, not minutes.

This is why I hate the relationship help nonsense that has been here of late. I don't care about your current, past or future relationship. Or men who come here because they are momentarily single...that's not mgtow, that's just being a single guy still looking. Mgtow philosophy disavows relationships.

Is r/mgtow the place for relationship advice? Isn't the whole point that we don't want to put with the issues. Wtf is this shit?

It's a choice. I'd say you're dumb if you don't plan financially ahead, but you don't have to live like a monk. Having 10+ years worth of resources to live on if things go bad is a pretty sweet thing to have.

With 7 billion people in the world, it's not a conundrum at all. We're overcrowded as is.

Market share in US has gone from 71% to 58%. Not that optimistic.

It may buy more than it does today. After the Great Depression, the markets took a long time to recover in nominal terms, but because the economy suffered deflation, money actually increased in value, and the recover in reality didn't take nearly that long. Not to mention the economy always recovers. People will continue to need things. If anything an economic crisis skims from the unproductive top.

With that amount of money you can allow most of your investments to compound over decades, so the amount of taxes you pay wouldn't damage your earnings much.

At 3.5% return(conservative estimate), you could extract $16,000 a month for 60 years, and you'd still have 1.4mil at the end of your life So yes...you could retire at 30...or at 20. You could live your whole life sustained with that money.

At this point, I could go over a decade without a salary, and before 50 I should achieve financial independence. Then, I'll live a very simple, but very free life. I'll keep working, but on my terms. Inactivity is not good for the mind.

I only sign up when they offer me a month. Then I end up paying another just to finish the shows I began. This time Dark was well worth it. Phenomenal show. I'm also watching Stranger Things, but it's not nearly as great.

Personally, being impolite would be caring too much(about anyone). I'm never impolite. It's too much work. I can be terse and cold. But I never bother with being actively impolite.

From Paris: London, Netherlands, Frankfurt are all a few hours driving away. Central Europe everything is squished tight. People talk about the Nazis surprising the French in WWII, but it wasn't like Hannibal going through the Alps. It was a very short route through Belgium.

Not at all. She does provide some insight when she first arrives at Chernobyl, but mostly she does some investigation talking to the people who worked at the plant. The main focus is on the two men who were actually in charge. It's a great series. This is definitely not poisoned by gender politics. They fictionalized some things, because there's a lot we don't know about what happened there. They do a good job at capturing the government interferences(and KGB's endless pressure), administrative …

The first reply on Neymar's twitter post is a woman calling him a sicko for publishing the girl's nudes(he actually slides through the whole conversation to provide full disclosure). Fortunately, people love their footballers, and the public opinion is strongly on his side.
