Feeling safe is not the way to think about. It's about avoiding unneeded stress and mantaining trust. I have had issues where women I meet professionally want to pursue me and my girlfriend finds out. This causes me unneeded stress, especially since I am out without her a lot. With these rules in place she trusts me. These rules also prevent women I meet from pursuing me and causing an uncomfortable situation. And for her it goes the same way. Last week some guy sent her flowers. He must have st…

This is my experience. I travel a lot. My girlfriend prioritizes coming with me over girls trips. She is jealous if I am gone and she isn't with me to see who i am talking to. She also feels like she is missing out. When either of us go out alone we have simple rules. Don't touch others while flirting, don't dance with others, don't kiss others, and introduce yourself as being in a relationship. I have to take extra care to say that i am in a happy relationship and talk about her. We both have i…

OYS #2 I am 42, 5'9", 195 lbs, bench 250, squat 280, deadlift 325. My goal weight is 190 lbs and 1000 across all 3 lifts. Last week I discussed having too many goals and not enough time to focus on all of them. My action was to figure out what to focus on and what to automate. What to focus on: 1) Learning my executive role at work and meeting the targets. Action: it will take 1 to 2 years to automate this by training a team of directors. What to automate or delay: 1) Repairing and building part…

That is the answer that I did not want but it is the answer that I need

Look, there is something toxic inside me. I am looking for internal self growth advice. I am not looking for external value advice like lifting, how you dress, or making more money. Do you have any experience with my situation?

Work life integration is great. I did that early in my career and it worked brilliantly. The issue I have now is transitioning to be partner at a firm. The year before and the year after are difficult and time sinks. I want it though.

That is easy to answer. I want to live a life where I never stop growing. I want new challenges that bring fear into my belly. I want more money to do these things. I want fitness to continue this into old age. And I want to share it all with a beautiful woman. Figuring out how to go to the next level with her involves me figuring out if she is the one. I am just doing my thing and we are at a crossroads where I either choose her or let her go. If I choose her then I have a lot of up front work …

This is good advice. I wish I could do it all at once. This week I am going to put the goals on the spectrum from automated to attention and see what I can define as reasonable and maintainable.

OYS #1 (I have miss-starts) I am 42, 5'9", 203 lbs, bench 250, squat 280, deadlift 325. My goal weight is 190 lbs and 1000 across all 3 lifts. I find myself succeeding in multiple aspects of life but generally without a plan. Even with my mistakes I find that my luck has been greater. This has led to success and the option to coast and slow down. Lately, I have been blessed with an option to accelerate my success even more. This option requires rebuilding who I am, how I act, and how I am with o…

Thanks for this. Yes I lift and have hit the 1000 lbs in the big 3 but found that it isn't sustainable when grinding other parts of my life. I think this forum overindexes on lifting to become attractive to women rather then understanding personal reasons to maintain fitness. I have been searching for a sustainable program that works when I travel twice a month. Right now my program is upper then lower, 2 to 4 times a week. Run on the off days. This program is working but stress eating is causin…

OYS #1 Age 41, Ht 5'9", Wt 195 lbs. Happy with my life and situation. Realizing that there is more opportunity to grow then I ever understood, it isn't easy though. Although I have a long term girlfriend, I do enjoy this community for the purpose of becoming a better man. My goals this year follow along those lines. - Promotion: starting the 6 month process next month, this is the main focus of energy. - Fitness: Goal 185 lbs, did not change weight last month and often drank twice a week. Coming…

Do you bring her to places where there are other women to compete with? Are you bringing her to Dennys or a hot place where there are hot women to compete for your attention and a cool vibe to get her going.

I went through and am partially in the same situation. You may just need to let it out of your system. I gave myself permission to do a lot of crazy shit until I settled down and starting working on myself. I still enjoy some of the crazy shit but am moderating better. Bottom line... give yourself permission to get it out of your system. Once that is done work on yourself.

Dude.... men, and especially white men, have a natural advantage. Of course every other group wants to vocalize their desire to have an advantage. In order for us to maintain our advantage, power, wealth, etc... we need to keep quiet about ourselves and support everyone else. That is the only way to stay at the top.

I waited two months. This gave me enough time to try out other women. I preffered the ex so gave her a shot. I do not know if I am doing it right but she is changing for the better every week. She knows that I am willing to burn it down.

LTR one of them and then burn the relationship after a year.

Something similar happened to me. I told her to go date the other guys. After weeks of thinking she told me that there is something about them that she doesn't want. She kept talking about it and I told her that this topic bores the f out of me and her behavior is equivalent to her dating a gay man. She's doesn't want to be perceived as that so the behavior stopped and sex is better then ever.

I saved one and now I am 40 starting again. I wish I had a chance to have your decision and make it differently.

Look at the positive. She taught you a lot and you can teach others. Pay it forward.

I have a similar situation which ended in us getting back together. The second time around I choose to show the concepts not talk about them. She is also hard mode like your ex. Best training situation that I have ever had. Improving faster in a few months then I did in two decades.

Too many times to count. I went through a period oblivious to MRP and Rambo'd a lot. I am still trying to shake the Stallone out if me.

Physical Started GZCL last week. There are some things about GZCL that I like and some that are ... different. I like the pyramid structure, and additional volume at lower weights. The first week has left me quite sore and I think it's because I'm using some smaller muscles that we never fully exercised previously. Are you changing programs? I've found that never works for me and is driven to compensate for something else in my life. Long term consistency is best.

OYS #2 40m, divorced 3 years, newly moved to florida, 5'9" and rotate between 175 and 185 lbs. I worked my ass off in my 20s and 30s and I want a house on the water, a boat, and time to surf and wakesurf. Physical: The battery in my scale went dead last week and I have avoided it. As I wrote this post I bought a new scale that auto connects to my phone so I can keep a history. Otherwise I had to buy a new bathing suit and I lost an inch in the waist without dieting or losing weight. I have been …

OYS #1 40m, divorced 3 years, just broke up with a beautiful woman. 5'9" and rotate between 175 and 185 lbs. I am looking to find a woman to settle down with and raise a family. Physical: Been running PHUL for 11 months now with issues relating to injuries so I have been pushing myself less the past couple of months and have been making better progress. I also run 25 to 40 miles a week depending on how much I eat and drink. I enjoy eating and partying and running keeps me in balance with weight …
