Yes, it could be posted as debate.

Repost what? This comment was from 6 months ago.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/24 12:45 AM

I don’t believe I was involved in any of the removals, but you can’t ask debate questions. You have to make an affirmative claim. That would have probably been the easiest path to getting your post approved.

Seems fine.

Because agreeing with debate posts as top level comments is against the rules.

If you want to train people on how to make their posts feel free, most posts get removed because of various formatting issues and the inability of the subreddit users to be able to read.

It’ll be on you then next time you are moderated for it.

Your posts probably did not follow the rules. The response indicated what you can do to fix it. If you are incapable of understanding it you can reach out in modmail.

I reviewed your posts, they were removed because you didn’t follow posting guidelines, the content was not the issue. If you can read the guidance on why it was removed you will understand how to fix it.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/11/24 06:38 PM

To the users who keeps reporting comments about mentioning other subreddits within the daily thread: please stop. Is it explicitly stated in the daily thread rules that we allow links to other subreddits here with limited context as conversation points (provided they are np links). We have a short list of subs that are not allowed to be mentioned or linked to and are explicitly moderated for, but you will not need to report those, you will likely never even see them. Thanks.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 05:02 PM

You can reply under the automod, or in response to other comments as long as you are not posting at the top level.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/24 04:52 PM
2

Yeah, and we don’t moderate any content related to what you are saying, we moderate content according to what we think is black pill and either irrelevant to sub or likely to get the sub banned if continued.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/24 04:29 PM

Add this as a comment to the survey thread please so it is archived, in a place where people will find it.

People who harass in DMs or outside of PPD can be blocked.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/24 02:10 PM
1

Yeah PPD isn’t a place where you only see what you like. We remove comments that violate the rules, not things that people may not like to see. That goes for any side of the debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/11/24 01:18 AM
1

So she was debating this user and now wants to block, this is explicitly against the rules. You can lawyer the rules all you want, they will still be enforced as needed to run a properly functioning debate subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 09:52 PM
1

It literally says do not block. What is not clear about that? It says don’t respond if you don’t want to. She is responding, so she should not be responding and not block, as the rule states.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 09:45 PM
1

This is not true. I would not listen to user interpretations of the rules.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/11/24 09:38 PM
1

If he’s replying the same thing and trying to relitigate the same argument over and over, that’s against the rules too. If he’s responding to each comment in its own right then that is allowed.

Alpha males doing better than average men is part of red pill. But the idea that AFC are entirely sexless or unable to get a sniff, or the inability to change that through various red pill improvements because of genetics or looks or some other nonsense is black pill.

I would actually recommend team sports over the gym, but a lot of the people are a bunch of autists with the personality of a plank of wood. Getting new PRs is easy for them and doesn’t require other people. Plus it helps to be fit before starting sports. Also, I imagine the message has changed due to the rise of black pill as well. Like I said, it doesn’t hurt to get fit, this never needed to be discussed so much. I would say the crazy jacked look is actually just losing the plot.

/r/PurplePillDebate26/10/24 12:12 AM

Gym and getting in shape was about physical capability first, as it was pro-masculinity. It’s also a metric of character. The looks stuff came after, and while it does help, I don’t think red pill or blue ever disagreed on doing things like that. The issue now is the black pill obsession. We do have a weekly looks thread as it is obviously an aspect of dating, but black pill tends to destroy any conversation about it, so if we can reduce that happening it will probably not continue to be relegat…

Nah, I’ve been here since the sub was created, incels flooded the sub when incels got banned from elsewhere and thought they could come here. It will no longer be an incel sub once they are removed.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 10:52 PM

I’ve seen many supposed black piller incels and they are normal, decent looking dudes who are just crazy and obsessed with looks. Maybe some truly are that hideous, but this isn’t the place to discuss it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 10:49 PM

There is some sort of issue here, I’ll look into it.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 10:40 PM

We literally do not care. No one believes you are more right by not being given a platform to be insane. If you choose to radicalize because of that, other people will deal with you elsewhere as they need to because you are not doing it here.

4 and 2 are the median, 11 and 8 something are the mean average. You can also look at the data and see what the distributions look like.

I think what it sounds like is black pillers think looks should matter more than they do. They actually have a looks morality. I mean even the obsession with looksmatch and comparing men and women in this regard is kind of an odd comparison. It’s starting with the assumption that looks are ultimately important just to end on it. But really it’s just ultimately important to them, so they dig deeper, but really it’s just their feels, not really an attachment to reality. I mean black pillers will s…

Idk, if she was getting pumped and dumped all the time and racked up a 100 n count instead of getting the ring. Also, the struggle could be current or past tense, like if you previously struggled, so this could check out. But yeah, idk, could be some outliers or people fibbing.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 08:27 PM
5

That tends to be the uninteresting and thought crushing portion of it. Once black pillers get into details it’s generally more insane.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 08:24 PM
2

Yeah, I don’t see that view. So I’m not sure what happened. Again, I don’t know what happened to your report, if you want to sort it out, then bring it up in modmail. If you want to speculate nonsense about it, I’m not interested in entertaining it.

If you are currently working, and not simply not working and never holding a job because you don’t like your job prospects then I imagine it would be allowed.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 07:39 PM

Feel free to report them. If it’s general attractiveness then it will be allowed, it’s the lookism that is banned.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 07:36 PM

Black pillers use blue pill, purple pill, red pill, and black pill to identify. I would suspect that most black pillers not tagging actually use purple pill.

I dont know what you are talking about regarding awaiting removal. If they break the rules they will be removed. I dont know if the filters will be updated. I don’t why they weren’t dealt with, that’s why I said to bring it up in modmail. I would still report comments that violate the rules though.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 07:25 PM

I agree, which is why they aren’t banned simply for being jobless. It’s the fact that they are jobless and want to promote joblessness or complain about joblessness and not something like working conditions, which would be on topic.

Sure, but there needs to be some experience otherwise it doesn’t really make sense. I’ll take your analogy, let’s say people wanted to discuss working and that sort of thing. People with bad jobs and good jobs would both have experience and can talk about it. What has happened is that a bunch of people who have never had a job want to come in and talk about what working is like. Not only that but they are insane and belligerent and they say they don’t even want to work. And the all the people wh…

I don’t know how many of the total are actually active. Probably a lot of dead reddit accounts. I mean I know it’s only a fraction, but it’s probably a decent representation of the active portion.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 06:29 PM

Because the filters aren’t universal, and it’s automated. Some things will get through and get taken down later.

Red pill provided demographics that weren’t struggling for quite some time. In the past, they may have been AFC but in coming here they usually had experience to back up their beliefs. The red vs blue debate was always two different groups of people who were successful but saw things differently. Those that are unsuccessful and detached from reality have destroyed much of that however.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 06:09 PM
3

I’ll add it at some point if no one else wants to chew on the data. It’s definitely going to be more than red pill. Historically, blue pill has been a heavily bi crowd.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 06:04 PM
14

Subreddits that discuss that sort of stuff eventually get banned from reddit, there is a graveyard of subs banned in this way. In this sub in particular, it’s also outside of the scope, which is to discuss red pill or challenge it. Red pill and blue pill are two different groups with strategies for success, black pill is just whining and insanity generally. Black pill tends to be uninteresting and thought crushing in rhetoric. The people who believe it also are the most detached from reality, so…

We’ve wanted to curb this trend for years, nothing changes in that regard. The survey is hardly a justification. People just want to see the results and demographic trends.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 05:52 PM

We don’t need any more justification to ban black pill/incel content. Just trying to help people out looking to steer clear of it.

/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/24 12:25 AM

This is not correct, as it encourages circlejerking and stifles debate. If you want to do this, go to another subreddit, you will be moderated for doing it here.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/24 06:53 PM

If you just ask a question and don’t provide background for why it’s being asked and the context in which answers should be given then it will likely get removed for being low effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/24 06:11 PM
1

Most posts have to manually approved, over two thirds of posts don’t make it through for various reasons. Yours specifically were all removed for being low effort, this was already detailed to you in every post that was removed. If you aren’t willing to change them, then they are better suited for the daily thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/24 03:25 PM

We could add some LSAT questions to the survey lol.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 01:05 PM

It will be another weekly thread like this one.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 01:02 PM

Many people make the claim that black pill is most closely aligned with blue pill regardless of the fact that it’s not red pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 07:34 PM
2

I’ve seen some high alleged numbers in the past IRL, but on the survey people put numbers that are physically impossible. Putting a limit might encourage people to troll that number, it becomes pretty apparent who is just messing up the survey. If you are not even in triple digits then there is no issue, triple digits is easily physically possible even if unlikely.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 07:32 PM
2

I would say by participation here you are put in the box, the purpose of the subreddit is debate pills. You essentially choose to either accept or reject red pill. It would be like going to an MBTI subreddit and claiming not to have a type. Just don’t participate there if you do not believe in it. The last option is essentially for those who only participate here and don’t believe in any of the other personality categorizations, so it has the same effect as if it was worded differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 03:01 PM
4

That would make them blue pill by definition, it’s axiomatic in that sense by participating here. Otherwise, you would just debate in other gender wars places, not here.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:32 PM
1

Pill categorization is the entire point, and the pill options are an exhaustive set of beliefs. A bunch of people saying they aren’t a pill or don’t know what they are would defeat the point of the survey with regard to the subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:27 PM
2

It’s probably fine. There is a difference between a high number and integer overflows.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:24 PM
1

Requiring an answer is by design, and forcing a pill classification is the largest point. By definition blue pill is not red pill and therefore there is an exhaustive set of choices for the discourse on this subreddit. Pill discussion is the point of this subreddit. As for the other personality types, if you don’t know what they are, you probably don’t subscribe. You don’t need to look them up unless you plan to become interested.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:22 PM
1

We aren’t trying to make explicit classifications where people have to read dissertations on what everything means in this instance. I think ballparking it based on peers and how that confers to your dating scene suffices for the purposes of this survey.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:19 PM
1

They are agnostic to country and parties and more just political science/theory, but being moderate is fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:16 PM
2

I would say that’s plate spinning and already included, I agree something is missing for blue pill and will be added for next time.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 02:15 PM
3

Not enough to meaninglessly dilute the answers. If you don’t have a relationship with someone, I.e. boyfriend/girlfriend at minimum, then you are single. Maybe you are going on dates and still single, that’s fine too, then put single. As for whether UK people will mess up the poll, I don’t think US people will even get it right. I could link a dissertation that explains the convention, and then people will be annoyed at reading 100 pages to understand what class means in this instance. Nothing i…

Haha, it is anonymous and we can’t tie it back to anyone. People are generally about as angry as you expect, with a few compliments.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 01:13 PM

Then don’t pick upper middle or lower middle if it doesn’t exist for you. BF/GF is boyfriend/girlfriend, I.e. who you are dating. If you don’t have that, then single.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 12:38 PM

Yeah, we always do. If there is any specific filtering or sorting you want to see, let me know.

We don’t really need to make a spectrum for casual sex, we already have an n count question. It previously said “degeneracy is awesome” and “Islam is right about women”. This is just a non-trolly way of defining it.

Class is based on whatever it is in your locale, I would say it’s not strictly income in America either. Political spectrum is based on your locale also. It would only make sense to include it for another location if you are exclusively dating in some foreign area. Dating is included in relationship status.

N count is the number of sexual partners you’ve had, in mainstream this is referred to as “body count”, but PPD has discussed it well before and has always called it n-count. Freedom units are imperial units, like what is used in the USA, the units are explicitly called out in the survey.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 09:53 PM

Simply, if you are not red pill, you are blue pill, so it is an exhaustive set of options. However, some people don't fully disagree with red pill so there are options that people in the pill communities understand to align with their views more specifically.

Did we ask that last time? I don't remember it, however, it sounds like a good idea. I will add it for next time.

Depends on the type of feminist you are probably. I've seen more radfem types claim pink pill, and libfem types claim blue pill, ultimately it's however you identify though.

They are our specific subreddit rules so they are a thing, and we do allow blocking in instances, just not the way 99% of users tend to do it on this subreddit. Additionally, the user you are talking about was banned by reddit entirely.

Mods do check each other, but everyone has some biases. Generally, mods only remove things that don’t follow rules. It’s rare that things are moderated beyond what the rules of the subreddit are because they don’t like it. Most often what happens is that moderators with a bias may allow something that should be removed according to the guidelines of the subreddit to stay up although we try not to. As users, you can still report these things so that other moderators see them if you feel they viol…

Technically everyone conforms to a pill whether they like it or not. Red pill is a set of beliefs, if you are not red pill or do not agree with any of red pill, you are blue pill. If you agree with some of red pill and not others, you are purple. Even black pill and pink pill would technically be forms of purple as they have aspects of both. So you need to conform to a pill to exist as a poster here despite how you may identify, moderation would categorize any candidate for moderation to preserv…

Yes, I meant it more based on what that individual candidate believes and what is meant by pink pill to them.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/24 11:11 AM

No, it’s a debate. Label it as such or it will be removed. If you continue to violate the rules, you will receive increased moderation.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/24 11:09 AM

This exists but is not advertised. For example, we would allow a non-passport bro to ask passport bros a critical question or something of that nature.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/06/24 11:07 AM

If the pink pill is a form of female black pill/femcel/woe-is-me then no. If it’s not that, I guess it depends on what it is.

You can use it as long as it’s not a rebuttal, or if it’s in a rebuttal and isn’t the only part of the reply it may be ok. But it has potential to be uncivil or invalidating as well.

We do ban users who agree and circlejerk with OP in debate posts, that’s why posts with challengable content need to be flaired debate. Wanting to label it discussion because of your feelings is not an excuse.

If you keep spreading misinformation, you will be moderated further.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 02:56 AM

Discussion would be for something like I mentioned in another comment that are essentially questions for all, such as “what do you like to do for a first date?” Or “what experiences lead you to your pill?” Or “how did you meet your partner?”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 12:21 AM
2

If you are posting data or a study that proves a point, flair it as debate. Be prepared to respond to people who challenge it. The End. It’s that simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 12:15 AM
3

Questions about people’s preferences aren’t. You should think of Discussion as Q4All with even more restrictions, because people still debate in Q4<group>.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 12:11 AM
4

It should have been flaired a debate if it was centered around the facts.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 12:07 AM

That’s not a discussion, it’s a debate. You can continue to be wrong, and you will continue to be moderated for it, or you can learn to be correct flair your posts correctly, not circlejerk, and not have them taken down. I’m getting the sense that you don’t want that, you want to be incorrect and a victim. We can indulge you on this too if that’s what you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 12:00 AM

The mods are consistent, the users interpretations are not.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 11:58 PM

Wouldn’t the easiest thing to do simply be to just copy and paste the same post and just flare it for debate and it will stay up? It would be, but these people are too attached to being wrong and can’t read good. I suppose we wouldn’t have a subreddit if they could.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 11:53 PM

This whole thread is you trying to prove a point, you want to do an experiment to prove this point. It would be a challengable topic, therefore it is debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 11:22 PM
2

If by open ended debate topics, you mean making posts with debate topics but labeling them discussion then no. You can make debate posts with debate flair where all of the top level commenters challenge the OP. If the OP is not a challengable type of post I.e. actually a neutral discussion question, then it can be labeled discussion. This post was challengable, therefore it is debate.

Since I’m taking some of my time out of the day to address this thread: Sometimes with comments things are minor enough that we while we don’t want to allow it, we also don’t want to essentially leave a mark on the record of the user. Or sometimes, it’s just easier to clear the queue that way on older comments. With posts we usually try and explain why the post was taken down so it can be fixed and put back up.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 10:01 PM
-1

When I found it, it was a post with reports violating the rules. I know very much that many of you would love to circlejerk to your hearts content, but we don’t allow that here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 09:56 PM
7

Actually I can address this too since you all are so insistent on being wrong. Reddits app sucks shit, and sometimes it doesn’t complete the removal process with the rationale, after getting pinged for it, I saw that was the case and added it.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 09:45 PM

They might have just moderated a single or few comments that were in the queue and not read the post. Or it might have been reported later.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/24 09:41 PM

If it wasn’t flaired correctly, it would have been removed regardless of content. The only content that is removed regardless is black pill nonsense. It wasn’t removed quickly because mods have lives, the same reason there are posts waiting to be approved for days now.

If it’s not related to the debate flair we will often just do that. However, if you change “discussion” to “debate” it opens up a lot of commenters to being unfairly moderated due to fault of the OP. So those will just be removed and OP will have to repost.

If people aren’t going to read things except titles, then having the daily thread title be the rule that needs to be read makes sense. There are no qualms with confusing people about the daily thread, it is not the main point of the subreddit. Even if there was, it doesn’t seem to really affect the daily thread activity. The only time there is a marked difference is when automod messes up and doesn’t sticky it correctly.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 11:18 AM

The weekly thread is about separate topics, the daily thread is not about any topic.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/05/24 11:12 AM

I guess I will explain why it is the way it is, not that I think will make much difference. The largest systemic issue to prevent on this subreddit is people coming here to preach the gospel of their side of the debate to adoring followers who will continue to just add on and upvote and promote this view while shutting out the other side. If you disagree with this, you are wrong, it is fundamental to the continuation of the subreddit to disallow this. So how do we control this? We divide posts i…

I do not think this is hard nor is it a job. I probably waste less time moderating this place than most do posting here. Many users would choose to make the task of moderating this place more difficult, fortunately, they do not get a say in the matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 03:42 PM

“People” don’t need to agree, mods need to agree. I’m not sure where subreddit users are getting the false impression that this place is run by referendum.

Discussing specific races tends to not bring the kind of content that is allowed on Reddit, or that we want on the sub in the case of black pill. I agree personally that this obfuscates a lot of discussion specifically in dealing with differences in culture, but concessions have to be made.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 08:59 PM

The daily thread is for off topic discussions, or the genre of styles banned from their own posts. The weekly threads are for specific topics that are relegated. For instance, if you want to talk about something completely off topic, like dinosaurs it goes in the daily thread, if you want to discuss the news (not related to dating) it goes in the daily thread. If you want to talk about your personal life or want personal advice it goes in the daily thread, if you want to meme it goes in the dail…

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 09:38 PM

It’s automated, we just make a comment on this week if it’s an ad hoc topic. If someone erroneously posts a bear thread on its own, it’s not a warning/moderator strike though.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 09:30 PM
2

Or we could just not let 10,000 versions of the same post clutter the front page of the subreddit and put it into the same thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 09:14 PM
2

If we wanted to ban it, we would just ban it. It’s not a personal preference, the subreddit just had a million posts about it and it’s only tangentially related to the subreddit topic. So it’s relegated for now.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 07:03 PM

It’s not prevented, you can do it here.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 06:34 PM

Let’s make this thread man vs bear discussion. No more new posts on that.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 04:27 PM

That’s your opinion on the matter, and your opinion does not run this subreddit. If you see comments that violate the rules report them or you can bring it up in modmail.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 07:00 PM

If it’s in a negative light and it gets reported, it’s likely to be a rule violation. So you should be comfortable with people you name drop if that’s something you wish to do.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 05:25 PM

This sub is about sex and gender issues relating to the blue pill and the red pill. We have opened it up to be a bit more general and discuss dating and relationships (minus the banned content). We only allow posts about feminism as they relate to sex and dating. General feminism posts aren’t relevant to the sub, however they are sometimes tangentially related so we have a weekly thread for it.

No, that sounds perfectly fine, and the reason for the sub. Witch hunting is something that falls in between incivility, circlejerking, and trolling. Unless you do something particularly egregious we don’t usually ban right away, you would get a warning first.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/04/24 02:18 AM
2

Witch hunting is a range things relating to calling out other users or insulting them without directly talking to them, telling a user not to engage with or warning them about specific users, following users around and commenting on every comment they make trying to bring sort of attention to them. Things like that.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/24 12:11 AM

FWIW not really, mods will vote on things when users appeal bans. Users are just usually in the wrong. We have rules against uncivility, and moderation happens because of that or circlejerking most of the time. We don’t have rules that say you need to like every group of people, because frankly that’s what a lot of the debate here is and we would have to ban the entire subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/04/24 07:40 PM

The rules have been the rules for years regarding content, or things being relegating because they are overdone. It’s been decided that that content is not for this subreddit, if people want to come and discuss it, that’s on them. We used to yes, however many posts were getting removed based on style and content, however in order to allow them and prevent circlejerking we have to ensure things are flaired correctly and moderate top level comments that violate it. If we simply changed the flair of the post, many commenters would be entrapped into rule violations, and it’s not fair to them, it was the OP who didn’t follow the rules. Many take any opportunity to circlejerk. Getting flair right should be a simple thing to do,…

The circlejerking posts simply need to be flaired correctly, 95% of them could be resubmitted with the proper flair and it would be fine. People just don’t read the rules. Looks discussions are allowed, just only on the looks thread. Personal advice posting can go in the daily thread. Incel content is banned, that’s the one thing that’s actually not allowed.

In Latin it means for this, but the general meaning is “as necessary”, the intent here is to leave room for a topic like paternity testing or self improvement, things we may want to dedicate a thread to for a week and prevent new threads on, but not part of the regular cycle. If we don’t have a specific topic, then you can discuss any of the 3 normally relegated topics.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 05:30 PM

Your ATTN at the top is incorrect. Top level comments must be from women and if they are not they will automatically be removed, mods do not need to show up to do this. Men can reply to top level comments made by women in these threads as well as automod, which is where they would make their “top level comment” replies.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/02/24 05:27 PM

Ah ok, thanks for the info. Is it normally delayed like that? Seems like this post had several hundred comments before reddit removed it.

Also if you messaged modmail, I’m not seeing that either. It’s weird that this would happen and you aren’t actually banned or shadowbanned either. I can only assume Reddit/admins have messed something up. Sorry I can’t help more.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 06:33 PM

So it looks like your post was removed, although no one on the mod team removed it which is weird. I’m not quite sure what is going on, maybe reddit removed it?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/02/24 06:18 PM
2

Ok I understand what you are saying. So the issue here was the flair of the post, which was labeled “discussion” while the title of the post has an affirmative stance on a topic, if a title has an affirmative stance or the post body supports an affirmative stance, the post must be labeled “debate”. I disagree with you that this is vague, this is a very straightforward understanding of the rule. Further, incorrect posts must be shut down as agreeing with OP on a debate post must be moderated. If …

Obviously the moderators.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 10:49 PM
1

I’m not sure I understand your second point, can you elaborate? The removal of non-neutral title rule was to allow people who clearly have a stance to make that claim and argue it. Posts can still be neutral as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 07:15 PM

It would depend on the quality of your argument in the post. If you just made that title, and had nothing in your post it might be removed for low effort anyway. A lot of people make terrible titles, but they may have decent arguments and debates we don’t want to just shut down. It’s only if it’s truly crafted to circlejerk.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 07:11 PM

A rant is complaining without an argument, describing things you don’t like, circlejerking is just adding contentless rhetoric or asking things in a way designed to get people who agree with you to respond.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/24 04:10 PM
3

Yes, for further clarification: Top level comment must challenge OP in a debate, agreement + effort must go under automod, or you will be moderated. For comment chain, you can agree with the previous comment, however, your new comment should not be contentless e.g. “This, I agree 💯🔥🔥”. Something like that would be moderated as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 10:02 PM
2

If your post isn’t a rant or circlejerking, it may be fine. You will probably do more harm to people who agree with you and “answer the question” as they will get moderated for not challenging your view.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 09:59 PM
1

I disagree that you have to, it was the case for a long time that no one even felt the need to. It’s an expansion of the topic that we do not want to include in the discussion on this subreddit. I would say to find or make your own space to do so if that’s what what you want, although my additional advice at this time would be to look outside of reddit if that’s what you want.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 09:46 PM
6

I find that unlikely, since if it can’t be achieved then it goes immediately into woe-is-me and plight of a group.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 03:26 AM
8

If someone is discussing gender dynamics and not just woe is me or complaining about the plight of groups, then it’s likely fine, who cares what you call it. Black pill tends not to do that.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 01:44 AM
9

Ok, this is not a red pill subreddit. This is a place to debate it. Go find or make another place if that’s what you want. Like I said, it’s not our problem that you can’t circlejerk.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 01:38 AM
17

Doesn’t mean we allow it here, in that regard your feelings are wrong. Like I said, if you have an issue you can link to, it can be addressed, but I am not here to validate your feelings on the matter.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:19 AM
13

I have removed many female circlejerks personally, I have seen other moderators do it as well. If you see it, report it, if it’s not reported, a lot less likely something will be done.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:14 AM
14

It was already explained, what is unclear about the explanation given or the description in the rules?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:09 AM
13

It’s not. Of the active moderators, there is more red pill than blue pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:07 AM
8

Yes, what is unclear about that?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:05 AM
11

Do you have an example of this? Please link to it so it can be handled, not just a nebulous “that’s what I’ve seen”. Also, be aware that vitriol is not the only reason for a ban. I’d say most bans happen for reasons other than insults.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/24 12:04 AM

We ban all genders and non-genders who don’t follow the rules after repeated warnings. There are more men here than anything else, so they get banned the most.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 11:25 PM

If you want to discuss the red pill with other red pillers, I would try r/TheRedPill or any of its offshoots. We do not care where you do it specifically as long as you do not do it here, nor is it our problem.

It’s not the topic of this subreddit, which is blue pill vs red pill, it does not have a seat at the table. Black pillers tend to get their subreddits banned as well, not something we are interested in. From an argument standpoint, blue pill and red pill both consist of people with life experience and ideologies informed by this and how that generates their success. Black pill and incel content is generally just a lack of success and their arguments are more just unhinged complaints informed by …

Looks discussion is allowed, there is a weekly thread for it. No new posts on looks are allowed. I would not say looks is central to red pill though it is a part of it (which is why there is a thread for it), looks is central to black pill which is banned. It also tends to be why looks topics are ground to dust and fruitless. Looks posts may be allowed again, when the threads have new ideas and don’t quickly devolve into black pill circlejerking. As far as internal discussion, if you want to go …
/r/PurplePillDebate12/02/24 09:32 PM

Depends on how active moderators are, and what their tolerance is for neutrality. I tend to agree with your assessment here, loaded questions should generally be flaired as debate. However, these are older posts now. I only found this comment by going through the mod log, which is backed up at the moment.

It’s unfortunate that Reddit changed the functionality. The old feature simply stopped giving you notifications from them which was not great to do but ultimately fine to allow. The new functionality essentially ruins debate subreddits.

The first time a user harasses it may just be comment removal and a warning, after that moderation increases. If this has been consistent behavior, bring it up in modmail please, so it can be rereviewed.

Harassing comments should be reported so the user can be moderated. Harassment is likely going to result in comment removal and a ban for the offending user.

Yes, PPD does not allow blocking as it prevents other users not part of the original exchange from discussing the points with a now blocked user. Further, this encourages circlejerking, which is not allowed on PPD. If people break the rules, you can report them. If they do not break the rules but you do not wish to engage you do not have to (except if you are OP of a debate post). Simply being annoyed does not warrant a block and if that is how you feel, perhaps PPD is not the subreddit for you.…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 05:45 PM

Yes, that change will be made.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 03:07 PM

Links to threads in other subreddits are allowed in the daily thread, as long as they are used for discussion and not promotion of other subreddits. This has been allowed for a while now so there is no need to report these comments. A minor update with this is that we are requiring all links to be np links. The automod will automatically remove non-np links. The daily thread rules will be updated to reflect this starting tomorrow.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/24 03:03 PM

Links to threads in other subreddits with minimal context are allowed in daily thread to promote discussion, as has been allowed for a while now (no need to report this). However, we are requiring all links to be np links. The automod will automatically remove non-np links now. This will be updated in the daily thread rules starting tomorrow.

It does, it’s just where all the topics go that we don’t allow individual threads for.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/01/24 01:15 PM

There are a few doing it, myself included, it’s too tedious not to at this point, and Reddit’s app is garbage. It’s not that I’m scared, it’s just that you aren’t worth it. If it makes you feel better you can just assume it’s me every time.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/24 02:50 PM

Reasons for post removal should be stated, especially if it wasn’t previously filtered. If this happens to your post and you don’t understand, feel free to bring it to modmail.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/01/24 02:36 PM
1

If it’s off topic to PPD and in this thread then it’s fine.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/24 10:48 PM
1

I’d say 50% of post removal is just incorrect labeling, where they should label it debate. It’s an easy fix for them. 25% are relegated topics and can be posted there. 25% are various garbage posts that violate our rules. Most posts get caught in the shitpost filters anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 02:38 PM

Technically no, as long as it’s not being used to shoehorn in the content that we are not allowing on the subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 02:32 PM
1

I don’t know, depends on the context. Either it will be an innocuous comment or you will get banned for black pill. Non-black pillers can tell the difference, it’s not our problem if black pillers can’t.

It’s talking about not getting it.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 02:04 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 01:19 AM

They can talk about it if it’s the topic. The point of this subreddit is about sex and dating, not not sex and dating. Sexlessness/woe-is-me nonsense can be removed and have possible additional moderation up to and including bans.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 01:10 AM

Yes, that’s correct but not all statements are complaints.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/01/24 12:54 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 07:05 PM
1

Read my first comment again, it’s already been addressed. The rules are the rules, the mods make the rules, so we are correct in administering them to ensure our debate subreddit continues. We are not pushing an agenda, we are preventing you from spreading your nonsense, shitting up the place with it, and attracting more types we do not want here.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 06:46 PM

If the mods say something is black pill and is not allowed, then it is black pill and it is not allowed. Is that what you asking? Mods are ultimately correct about what is and is not allowed on the subreddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/01/24 05:40 PM
1

Thinking black pill is the truth is banned. That would not be debate. Everyone who isn’t black pill seems to very clearly understand what black pill is and has no problem steering clear. It’s only the black pillers who have a problem. Which is fine, because they will be banned.

It was removed for being an advice post. Ironically, advice posting would be allowed in the daily thread. But no one on the subreddit is capable of reading anyway. It explains the quality of debate.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/12/23 02:58 PM

The daily thread is for off-topic discussions, casual chit chat, memes, etc. Actual debate and discussion that is on topic to the subreddit will be moderated out of this thread. There is a lot of stuff here that would normally be moderated but we don’t since it is supposed to be more casual, however we aren’t going to allow people to bring the controversial content in here so moderation can be sidestepped.

It’s alright. It’s mostly just tedious, the mod queue fills quickly, and people who would actually help and not just get the subreddit banned don’t want to help. So we implement policy to make it easier and it pisses everyone off.

/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/23 09:48 PM
2

Referencing that person or linking to their comments would be against the rules of the sub already as that is incivility and/or witch-hunting. I guess I find it confusing that you are even referring to the “main sub” as if the daily thread is not a part of it and needs to be handled differently and where we would suspend the rules for the users here to circlejerk and be uncivil to other users on the subreddit. We recognize that maybe some non-PPD discussion and debate can happen on PPD, and with…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/23 09:46 PM
1

Yes, that is part of the point. If the intent of the daily thread was to just form some sort of club separate from the rest of the sub but still discuss the topics, there would be no point in its existence and we would just shut it down. The point of the daily thread is to pull nonsense out of other threads and still allow some lighthearted chat with people you may know on PPD.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/23 09:30 PM
-4

Things get reported now, we will just shut things down and can issue bans for continued infractions. Banned people don’t cause as many problems.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/23 07:11 PM

The daily thread is for off-topic discussions, casual chit chat, memes, etc. Actual debate and discussion that is on topic to the subreddit will be moderated out of this thread. Just to add on, you can still do CMV if you wish to, just include it in your title and flair it as debate. The previous rules from CMV that were removed were needing to ask open questions and to not promote your own view. These are not necessary in “Debate”, however the rest still apply and you will them listed if you flair for “Debate”.

/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 02:05 AM

It annoys me as well, but this subreddit can’t handle it. It’s not a you issue, it’s an insane black pillers who would seethe and respond issue, same reason looks is relegated and all the other nice things we can’t have. Maybe one day when they are all culled, things can open back up.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/23 02:01 AM

I’d say the only time mods will change opinions are probably on ban length. No one has time to deliberate over comment removal. If it gets removed, it gets removed. Justification doesn’t matter, I don’t understand why you aren’t getting that. Mods are Gods. Mods make the decisions, users do not. Right now, the mods could just decide to do a whole multitude of things and it would be how it is. You would be forced to abide by it to be correct, if you don’t, you would be incorrect and open to moder…

Yeah I would say this subreddit is about sex and dating and relationships, not not sex and dating. So all the not sex and dating is going to be black pill/incel and banned, also the looks/genetics stuff is black pill and banned/relegated.

Partner status is irrelevant to mod position. Not being black pill and having the kind of character that wouldn’t abuse the position are the two main criteria. If you are truly interested, then this is sufficient as an application. If you have any other questions that are more specific, let me know.

It was in the last mod post with the survey results. Moderating has gotten more annoying now that they banned third party apps which had good mod tools and we have to rely on their shit app. So if you are not on a computer it can get tedious. But the general gist is removing content that is banned, banning users that break rules too often or severely, making sure posts are not too low quality and conform to the rules (we are removing over 50% at moment), answering questions that are googleable, …

Lazy women don’t want to step up and help moderate. We’ve had a call out for female moderators for a while now.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/12/23 12:20 AM

Depending on the quality of the response this would be considered a form of contentless rhetoric and worthy of being moderated. However, I wouldn't go ahead and put a blanket ban on this as using yourself as a point of data technically opens yourself up to the debate if that is how you are choosing to argue and there are people that do LARP and make things up. Any point presented is open to being challenged, and there is no rule against being wrong and/or dumb.

Not sure actually, these come from our insights provided by reddit, so I'm sure you can look up how it's determined. It does get broken down by ios/android/web/mobile browser/new/old reddit. I would assume you would have to click into a post or the subreddit page for it to count. We do not advertise or anything, I can't imagine reddit wanting people to find out about this place lol.

Well in this case whatever the moderator interpretation of red is, is correct. You can ask them to explain it in more detail if you don’t understand but it wouldn’t become incorrect ever. Hell, if a mod tells you that blue is red, then for the purpose of this subreddit, that’s what it is.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/12/23 03:19 PM

I just looked at the comment, it’s still there. I don’t know what to tell you. If you want rule breaking comments removed, report them, don’t just whine mentioning mods.

/r/PurplePillDebate30/11/23 01:07 PM

Because when people ping the mods it shows up in the mod queue, so we get morons whining about the moderation in the mod queue but not the supposed comments themselves because they are idiots who haven’t reported them and just choose to whine instead.

This isn’t exactly rocket science, let’s follow the train of events: Someone makes a comment Someone reports a comment The mods make a determination on whether that comment broke the rules or did not If it broke the rules, it is removed and sometimes additional moderation may be warranted If it did not, it remains up If you disagree with this, 99.999% of times your feelings are wrong and you are incorrect (many such cases). I don’t care about studies, moderators are hand selected. Studies are useless. Again it is not an application of circular logic, you are wrong. Human decision is irrelevant to exhaustive possibilities, mathematically the comment can be removed or it can stay up. Depending on which outcome you preferred, your feelings may be wrong. It’s extremely relevant to the discussion. There could be other reasons hypothetically sure, but it’s just not the case in reality.

Yes, and I’m telling you that’s not an issue for people who are not black pillers. If there was something to starting spouting a bunch of black pill content and didn’t identify as black pill, we would want them banned all the same. We don’t have to host what it is here, people can look it up if they are that naive. Vague rules that are inhospitable to black pillers are again OK, it’s a feature not a problem.

I don’t understand what “more choices” would be? You ask for height, they put it a number, it all needs to be the same unit so they can be compared and statistically analyzed. There is no: some people do it in one unit, some people do it in another. If people truly want to know in their preferred units they can do it themselves after the fact.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/23 08:38 PM

Feet and inches, but sometimes just inches. Nobody says 5.87 feet, that's dumb. Anyway, there is no option for units, so I decided to use the best one: inches.

Well thats what the actual difference is on that part of the spectrum. Left and right wing is a nebulous catch all.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 07:36 PM

Well, that’s where it doesn’t make sense, libertarians can be left wing. They could believe in a public commons that no one owns, or in less strict senses tie it to use only. Right vs left wing would be meaningless there.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/23 07:29 PM

I don’t really care what Wikipedia says, people can answer the questions themselves and decide where they are. I’m giving examples. State controlled planned economy has been done, so it’s something people can point to.

The government can enforce all sorts of things whether it’s cultural or economic. Leftist libertarian would essentially be anarchist, where leftist authoritarian would be like state communism. I mean it could, no one knows what you said. If you said “sour cream is disgusting” then yes it fell from the sky, if you said “high n count women are disgusting and ran through” or “you would do/allow that for a hot chad” or “women always pick terrible men” then it makes sense.

They’re not equally troublemaking, it’s not my opinion. It’s facts, I have the information, you don’t. It’s your feelings that are wrong, and this is not a subreddit to validate black pill feelings, you will have to get over that or move on.

I literally just said the opposite. The men are more numerous, more wrong, and more trouble making. If men decided not to be those things, they wouldn’t have to be moderated more. It’s quite simple really.

Because you are insanely sensitive to take that personally and this might not be the place for you if you can’t handle that, there is 1000000x stuff said worse and more often about women, and we leave analogous stuff left up about women anyhow.

Yeah I get that it can be annoying, but there are hundreds of reports an hour. Automating some things takes some of the load off, and better able to address the bigger issues. Also, some posts just don’t generate quality discussion. How titles are phrased is important to categorizing the type of posts, because if something becomes Q4 or CMV then we can prohibit responses that are just circlejerking. If we didn’t prevent this, swarms of incels/black pillers with nothing better to do would just sp…

Very easy to complain when you don’t have to moderate. Just like it’s very easy to be free speech and open to ideas. The barbarians can be at the gate holding heads on spikes and people safely inside still want to academically discuss “maybe we should let them in? It’s not right to just leave them out there, they have some good ideas about how to use all parts of the human”.

Right, but looks threads aren’t a necessary form of engagement, they are tangentially related, overdone, often bad faith and problem causing.

Capitalization doesn't matter, you can represent either version of Red Pill if you choose to identify as red pill. Purple pill won't work as it is automated now and the bot can't mind read to know the type of purple. As an aside, if you are trying to include all keywords in your flair to be able to comment in any Q4 thread that would be considered flair abuse and get you a flair ban.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/10/23 03:32 PM

No, it searches the text, ascii only, “Man” would let you respond to Q4M, purple isn’t really relevant as there is only Q4BP or Q4RP.

The first couple purge weeks were awesome (they were actually just a couple days), after that they got taken over by black pill free range stupidity. It was originally created and done on Halloween and new years so mods could go out and not have to worry about the sub. At the time, it was just people flinging shit at each other, but now it’s kind of pointless since black pillers cause TOS concerns anyway.

I’m talking about the red pill sidebar, not whatever nonsense TGP wrote, he was in no way related to RP ideology. As far as breathing, yes and no. Breathing is necessary to exist, but that’s not what black pill says, extending it to the breathing analogy, it would be like black pill also starts saying “chads take up 90% of the oxygen” also “women don’t actually need to breathe as evidenced by this freediving documentary I saw once, they just choose to breathe because they are evil and want to pu…

I don’t believe I’ve seen the sidebar discuss face, height, and genetics. Red pill is about a pro-masculine identity, anything that realm would qualify as red pill, and doing anything that would improve your success in a pro-masculine sense would be considered improving your game. If black pillers started obnoxiously talking about needing to breathe and remembering to breathe so they don’t pass out then we would relegate that too, but for now looks/face/height/genetics is what is irrelevant and …

It’s not relevant to red pill regardless if they want to acknowledge it, it’s black pill and not allowed.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 08:26 PM

It’s not, you can reiterate it as much as you want, you will be wrong every time. That’s not going to change on this subreddit or in reality. When red pillers talk about attractiveness it is about being an “alpha male” which is a personality, not looks. Women do treat alphas differently, yes that is a red pill belief. You can debate that freely and leave looks out of it. There is leniency for red pillers and blue pillers and fallacies as they are allowed to debate here, black pill is not.

No you can’t, for instance, if I had a cooking club, that was for talking about recipes, and then a bunch of people who want to talk about dinosaurs come in and push out the cooking conversation, they’ve destroyed it, the dino conversation needs to be suppressed. This sub is about red vs blue, black pill has no place here.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 07:14 PM
1

It’s been defined already above how this subreddit is treating it. Height, face, genetics is black pill, things you can control such as style and fitness is what red pill actually focuses on with regard to looks, however I would call it “appearance” and it directly relates to character. Things that you say aren’t game are a part of character and lifestyle which really is part of game. Again, no problem with any of those.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 03:59 PM
3

There is a thread dedicated to looks where people can post about it as long as it’s not black pilled, for the people who want to engage with that type of thing. So again, they are free to do so there as long as it’s not black pill. More context can be asked for as well, as long as it’s about the topic at hand and not trying to shoehorn black pill looks rhetoric into it.

There is no argument with black pill, it is not allowed. It never had a seat at the table. The argument is between red pill and blue pill.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:57 PM
2

I counted all but one maybe. However if incels have swarmed red pill too, the number of posts don’t really matter. The sidebar that links to the theory is all fundamentally about game, that’s what red pill is.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:51 PM
3

I think it’s similar to the gun control in America argument. The incels are already here, numerous, and destructive, it will take larger measures. Again, looks discussion is allowed in the weekly thread. Nuanced discussion is allowed elsewhere in comments as debate conversation evolves as long as it isn’t shoehorned or doesn’t lead to black pill rhetoric.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:45 PM
5

Hyper blue pill isn’t against the subreddit rules, just like hyper red pill (within TOS) isn’t against the rules. Black pill rhetoric is against the subreddit rules. If someone responds to a well thought out argument with “go outside” or “AWALT” it could be reported for trolling however.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:39 PM
4

Black pill isn’t argued, it is religiously proselytized by crazed and delusional zealots who really just want to whine. This is not a subreddit to validate black pillers feelings. If you feel there is nuanced and interesting discussion to be had regarding looks, it can go in the looks weekly thread, that is its purpose.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:31 PM
5

Blue pill is not nor has ever been banned, same for red pill. Black pill rhetoric is banned.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:27 PM
3

That is technically more like pink pill I believe? It was discussed before this was all implemented, but for time being it is relegated. I’m trying to understand how your concern would be made in practice, if someone makes a post about what they prefer it will be deleted for being a personal advice thread or a rant.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 02:25 PM
2

It is mostly used as a black pill debate destroying argument, if it’s not, it wouldn’t be stated. Rather tautological. I mean on its face, it’s explicitly an ad hominem which is a fallacy, and not only that it’s an assumption about the other person they don’t know. We do get to decide what is nuanced, like we always have. Most posts are removed because they are not good, and this happens to all sides and all sides complain about it.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 01:54 PM

Black pill was never part of the debate between red pill and blue pill, similar to how feminism is not part of it either and is banned entirely. Black pill/incel content is banned entirely as well. There is acknowledgement that some looks discussions could be outside of this area, however, it is generally not handled well, so we allow it but relegated, similar to n-count. I would say the problem is similar to “cope”, or it’s at least now like how “cope” was before it was dealt with.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 01:04 PM

Again, looks aren’t red pill arguments. Again, looks conversations can happen elsewhere if they are quality and nuanced and not black pill debate destroying tactics. There just will not be posts about them.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/10/23 12:52 PM
7

The issue is with black pillers dragging the topic back in needlessly and using it to destroy debate. If the fact that there are so many that cannot figure this out, shows how bad the problem is. It is still handled case by case, so if there is quality and nuanced discussion on looks it will continue.

Moderation doesn’t believe that type engagement is necessary, we remove plenty of posts that this sub would run away with. The people who discuss looks aren’t really interested in debating, you can see how they act on other subs, and it’s a nightmare to moderate it here. But if we can take measures to cut it down, it can become easier in the future. It also improves the quality of debate because it attracts others who don’t want to discuss it who are tired of it and have been pushed away.

They tend to overrun any discussion and shutdown conversation with nonsense, so we try and minimize it on this subreddit. Well then if you are in Stanford, the Phillipines wouldn’t matter. I don’t have to label you, you labeled you. This seems more like some kind of Fe reaction, which is what a survey needs to prevent. Otherwise, you are just doing a find and replace on the back end for people who don’t like the color words, regardless of the fact that are blue, or maybe purple is even a better description of what they believe, but at least it wasn’t wasted now.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 12:11 PM

But saying you don’t subscribe to pills is a subscription to blue pill. Other people and their labeling doesn’t matter either. No ones labeling matters. I am not even labeling you here, logic is. The only thing that matters is logic of the categorization. Just like I could type “I am not typing a comment on reddit right now.” I would still be typing it. Even if 100 morons said “he’s not typing comments” as they read my comments which I have typed, I have still typed comments on reddit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/07/21 12:30 AM
1

None of that is relevant still. It doesn’t matter if you desire it or not, you’ve got a label objectively. Just like if your sibling has a child, you are an aunt. Ontologically you are, it doesn’t matter whether you like it or even know the child.

It is blue, nothing you said disproves that. It’s not an axiom of interpersonal nature, it has nothing to do with dating dynamics. It’s simply an exhaustive set. The only reality that is meaningful here would be one that contains the laws of logic. For instance, if I asked you: “Do you believe in god?” And you said “I don’t know” or “I don’t care” it wouldn’t make you an atheist, but it would make you a non-theist. In this case, non-theist is blue pill. It is everything that is not red pill, inc…

Not subscribing is a pill, it’s blue. The categorization is exhaustive and the concept is axiomatic. They don’t need to conflate income level, and the definitions are more consistent than income as a value. So this is the better option in regard to income. Picking specific definitions for this is overly specified. It would be like giving a strict definition of what conservative and liberal mean. All of that seems outside the purview of the subreddit though. The pill definitions would be a part o…

> There needs to be a “no pill” option for the pill question. If you need to think that there is a "no pill", that is by definition blue pill, as red pill believes in pills and that red pill is a worthwhile set of beliefs, so if blue pill is "not red pill", and you disagree with red pill's belief that pills are a categorization, you are blue pill. So you couldn't select "no pill", without becoming blue in doing so, regardless if you are aware or not. The definitions are included in the jargon/wi…

There are very few gay people in this sub as it mostly discusses heterosexual dynamics, but it could probably help to cover it implicitly. For the next survey, we can add a question like “which sex do you pursue? Men, women, multi select option”

We can go even deeper. Weekly actives who have real engagement with the sub (upvotes, post views, commenters). We could, but we don’t have that either. I am positive admins have these stats. But we will never see them. As for "skipping" the survey post you can use (roughy) view impressions. It's how ad views are also tracked, with percentage pixel content on screen for a minimum number or seconds. That's not a good way to predict the number. What you really need is access to subreddit traffic stats where you use the number of uniques per week. Unfortunately, this doesn't exist and you have to create a trendline from the average hourly, daily, and monthly stats. Then from that you can estimate the percentage to see who skipped over it. Also I disagree with using class. I think surveys are better suited when the questions are objective rather than subjective. The problem is that not everyone is US based, and it makes the income meaningless without accounting for locale. I think the point of income to try and point to class level as an understanding of how they view relationships/sex/dating. Interesting, do you remember how you stumbled onto it? I’m surprised when I see people who join and have no idea about the pill stuff. I believe it does say in the wiki that is how RPers tend to view BP, but not how BPers themselves view it. If you are BP and want to identify BP, then put down BP. I mean this is just a survey. We have a whole subreddit where that idea can be debated if you want to try and change RPers minds about what BP is.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/21 02:22 AM

Why/how are you on this sub is my question? I've linked to the subreddit definitions in another comment already.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/21 02:18 AM

I'm not sure it matters, I'm not sure how many would identify as that? But I guess we can consider adding a question on the next survey asking if people think they are themselves doormats.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/21 02:16 AM
2

RP is agrees with RP, BP is disagrees with RP, and Purple Pill is somewhere in the middle. it's an exhaustive set, so you should be able to find a response.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/21 02:11 AM

We can add additional questions in again next time. There is no specific question set that is really necessary, other than sex and pill color. Although tangential interests are useful as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/01/21 01:26 AM
2

It's safe to assume blue pill here means "rejects RP", so if you think you identify BP: To BPers, "blue pill" is basically disagreeing with TRP, usually with it's stance on women, relationships, and/or science. Generally by agreeing with societies mainstream view of these matters (hence, the blue pill). There's no set philosophy or goal other than disagreeing with RPers Then you would mark BP. This is again, defined in the jargon. If you identify as delusionally subservient to women, then you al…

Well this is an anonymous survey, so it won't help with debates with individuals. There isn't really a way to address that, county of origin will mostly be meaningless since there are so many. It could maybe be divided by continent, but that will still range on what it actually tells you.
