Ok thank you, I am seeing her at work today so I will ask for clarification on the comment of being 'scary'. Again I've never been angry towards her, I simply have to raise my voice to ensure safety for the team and or to ensure discipline, and my raised voice is what scares her, I do have differing levels of that raised voice but my loudest seems to be what scares her.

I'd like to achieve the protector role you mentioned, any thoughts there? I believe that may be my best option for 'scary' to be a positive. In the past I was in the armed forces, so I know how to be a protector, but civilian life is always a little different.

I won't say my pectoral muscles or any muscles are huge hahaha but she knows I'm pretty serious into fitness. I do tend to be a little philosophical, and I'm also 4 years older (we are both of legal age), so I did hope that, that may be the case. And that it was just 'scary' to think of being with me. I am a little odd, but my professional mask covers that a fair bit so I don't think she's had a chance to experience that yet.

You have a valid point about being 'scary', but she's also asked for good morning texts recently. Which is why this has me confused, both these things were talked about in the same conversation.

Interesting I'll keep that in mind then. You have to admit scary has a very negative connotation. I don't mind the serious part but when put together it's much more alarming.

It depends really. Rock climbing, market shopping, night out, night in with friends could be any of these so long as you find it fun and you actually enjoy it. It's basically what you're saying about your personality. Like what the activities I just listed show me, in order; Adrenaline junkie, Prefers unique things, Party person, Intimate person.

Travel pics. Bikini/workout pics or elegant dressed up pics. Doing fun activity pics. Don't post pictures of yourself with the same guy too many times. For me a combination of those four elements make me wanna date a girl. Travel pics make me thing she's independent and lived as best she could. Bikini/work out pics because it means she's confident, confident in her body or at least working towards it which means she's driven. Dressed up pics means she's a little classier and is positive about he…

"Hey do you wanna hang out after break" seems pretty good to me might wanna open up with something funny though just to ease her into it Thanksgiving anecdote is always good, as for not having gotten to know her that's a good thing in my book you don't wanna get to know her over text you wanna do that kinda thing in person.

It is. I've only pulled it off once where she giggled.

You like who you like man. That or you've got super high standards. If so please listen to Bo Burnham's "if you want love" on YT. Another option is seeing a psychologist?

A few counter points to that: -going in for the hug and you get rejected or she does a one arm hug makes the atmosphere for the start of the date awkward. Hence a handshake to test the waters, you give a firm handshake, not too strong you crush her and not so weak you're like spaghetti. And when you do the handshake use your thumb and rub the back of her hand softly just once or twice, but not exceeding more than a few seconds of contact. I find doing this with a half smirk while looking at her …

Don't sit across from them during coffee, try to sit at an adjacent angle if it's a square table or next to them if it's a long table. A table in between is like a wall, and sometimes your date or you just doesn't want to stare straight at the other person the whole time, so the "angle" or "next to" gives you both some leeway to look away. Add some jokes to your repertoire, nothing mean just some ice breakers or funny anecdotes. Don't be afraid to disagree with some of the things she says, e.g i…
