So I've been talking to this girl at the place I work, and we've gotten to talking a lot recently some of it work and a fair bit personal, I've thrown in some passing flirting phrases, a couple cheesy lines, and found out she was single, got her socials and number. There has been some skin-ship contact nothing overwhelming; head on her shoulder after a rough day, or holding her hand while walking her through a crowd, but I recently found out that she thinks I'm serious and a little scary.

I thought I was making decent progress relationship wise but this revelation has really thrown me and now I just don't know. Any help here would be appreciated. She did say she thinks I have a sweet side, but don't know if that was meant to just soften the fall since she could pretty obviously tell I was shocked. The job does require me to be professional most of the time and know when to administer discipline for safety's sake when it's needed. Posting this before I sleep so may be a while before I can reply to anyone.
