I don't know, I can't speak for the movement but it's beyond me why any woman would want to interact with self-described incels or redpillers outside of pure boredom or a desire for internet conversation. Even as a man the misogyny wears down on me.

That's true, but I'd argue that it's tied directly to confidence too. I appeoach this topic from a different perspective because I'm a recovering stutterer, but just take my word on this - it's impossible to be confident while caught in a bad stutter. At least with me good, slow deep speech actually boosts my confidence.

It's very important. Voice is tied directly to confidence which is probably the single most important factor in attracting women, or atleast in making a good first impression. You often won't notice it until you lack it or notice a strong voice in others.... I'm a little hyper focused on voice and I'm surprised it doesn't receive more attention.

a 5'6" narrow-shouldered guy is muscular and with a six-pack vs a 5'6" narrow-shouldered guy who has never touched a weight in his life 5'6 here - I'm at a healthy BMI and I've been ripped but I honestly don't think it has much of an SMV impact. I think the 5'6 guy would be better off with a pair of shoes that give him an inch or two and some good fashion. Honestly, it doesn't make a ton of sense for the majority of us 5'6 guys to be playing the "I'm a beast" card. Sure, if a woman is into reall…

You're not understanding me. He basically wrote "masculinity is performance" and I took issue with that because the first thing I think of when I hear "performance" is actors in a play - basically something that's being acted out. Do you see my criticism here?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/17 12:37 AM

ok, we might be having a semantic difference here - when I think of performance I tend to think of showboating. If you just mean "action" then I'm fine with that.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/07/17 05:18 PM

There isn't a part of manhood that's not a performance. That's a very cynical view of it. I'm not arguing with you here - I'm not saying that you're wrong, but if this is the case then masculinity is pretty shallow. Something like trust or the ability to sacrifice or bravery isn't performance... these would be real virtues that reside within the individual.

No one really wants to hear it in 'polite society' Nobody for the most part wants to hear it period past the age of like... 22. It's obnoxious when another man starts describing his sexual exploits to you unless there's some funny or unusual part to it. most men are unattractive, no one wants to hear about unattractive men's sexual exploits/non PC views. I don't want to hear Chad explain about that time he banged Stacy either. Honestly - and I'm sure I'm in league with a lot of men here - the "f…

well in that case of course you're against it. I wouldn't even engage anyone who believed that. I don't know, like I feel I'd be skeptical of it if I were just on a college campus and hearing it but being in the military has kind of brought it new meaning. I'm not saying the military is toxic, but you get glimpses of it.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/07/17 10:34 PM

I'd prefer toxic gender roles or negative gender roles. Something like that. This would include women though so I don't think feminists would be on board. I feel like we're just playing with words here. What exactly do you have against "toxic masculinity?" Nobody is saying that masculinity, in and of itself, is bad; toxic masculinity is a perversion of masculinity. It does not benefit men (or at least the vast majority of them) so I have no problem with the term. "Toxic masculinity" is very real…

There's something instinctively demeaning or at least annoying about it Sure, and I get what you're saying, and that's why IRL we rarely have good intellectual conversations. The ability to pick apart/clarify statements is hard work, but it's crucial for good intellectual discussion to ensure that people are on the same page. I get it - it's annoying when you're questioned on something so basic - especially IRL where respect is more of a factor - but that's basically the hard work necessary in o…

you can get like a model material trans woman for $400/hr, but it seems to me that the guys who dropping like 1k on a girl for an hour or two either just don't give a fuck about money or are getting ripped off.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/17 04:12 AM

I live in a fairly metropolitian area between Baltimore and DC and $200 is definitely enough to get you laid with something decent. $200 is literally the standard if you're going backpage trans (1 hour) and a totally standard price to shell out for an asian massage parlor.

I am talking about the ones that just want a fulfilling relationship and aren't blaming women. AS SAID IN THE ORIGINAL POST. Maybe some. But again, there WILL be at least 2 feminists or so using the word "entitled." I think women are naturally going to be more empathetic towards other women in this regard, and lets face it - it's mostly women who are giving the support. Women just need to lower their standards if they're having problems. lol, sure they could. I'm not a woman, but I personally wo…

Because being single is typically different for men and women. Mostly (though not always) women can get plenty of partners, its just a matter of finding someone that they click with. For men, it's too often "why won't these women bang me?" It's too often just a guy wanting to get off sexually, where a woman could get off sexually whenever it's just a different matter. Obviously I'm generalizing here though. If a guy approached it from a sincere, emotional backdrop absent the sexual component my …

Well, theoretically in such a simple society there would be agreements in place. It would just be terrible planning if there wasn't. Bluepillers, do you think Mike is being immoral? Absolutely - you're never entitled to someone else's body. It sucks for Mike and he's got my sympathy, but sexual blackmail is not the way to go.

Sure, I get the inextricable link between sex and reproduction, but human sexuality is so much wider than just PIV.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 12:42 AM

Sex is an inherently reproductive action, whether you think it is or not. I get what you're saying here, I just think you're taking too narrow a view of it. If sex was just PIV I'd be more prone to agree with you, but OP mentioned "sexual preferences" which is wider.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/17 12:40 AM

nearly all sexual drives and desires, or the people we want to attract stem from a desire for genetic fitness, the capability of being able to pass on more offspring. You're linking sex and reproduction here... You can link these two, but plenty of people - myself included, don't do this typically when it comes to sex unless we're talking about sex specifically aimed at procreation. I think what you're doing is you're taking procreation and putting it front and center when that's just not how a …

I'll agree with the idea of women having inherent reproductive value (at least for the ones that can reproduce) but this is different from sexual value. The whole purpose of sex, until semi recently, was to procreate. If you're saying this as a historical claim it's not really true. The history of mankind isn't Puritanism. But yes, the quality and quantity of those other people that want to bang you also determines your value. Yes, this is sexual value. It is determined by other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/17 11:04 AM
1

I don't think it is. There have been societies where the situation was reversed and there's way many more women than men and it's the men who were in high demand. The whole idea of intrinsic sexual value doesn't even make sense to me. Apparently, you get "sexual value" because other people want to bang you.... that's not the same thing as being born with it or always having it. There are also some very unattractive women out there.

the gender they are supposedly attracted to. lol. For heterosexual men, however, it wouldn't work. I know, but it's still misleading to say "women have it easier when it comes to casual sex" - you should be saying "anyone who wants to have casual sex with men has it easy when it comes to casual sex." Also, that's only if you want casual sex which plenty of women don't. It's easy to explain why too - for men a bad fcuk is still fun, even though it might not be mind-blowing. It's still always fun …

Eh, I just see dating as a male vs dating as a female as different without one being "easier" than the other. A lot of guys lack social skills, so having to deal with that as a woman could get pretty annoying. Plenty of guys also have no intention to commit, which is generally what women are looking for. There's also a greater physical risk for women. It's just different. It's just a much bigger investment for a woman - she needs to worry whether the guy is gonna pump and dump - it's more about …

b) a guy in his late 30s is married with a couple of young kids whom he loves. Doing well at work. The only problem is his wife does not seem to be sexually attracted to him much anymore and they have what is approaching a dead bedroom. Yeah, definitely. I guess it just becomes a little more complicated when you add something like mental illness or a history of trauma - is her behavior because of that or is it the "real" her? I don't know, I guess people go around loving "themselves for themselves" and then get angry when women don't want to fuck them. I've never had that kind of ego.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/17 04:43 PM

I'm honestly not entirely sure what "loving me for me" would even mean. I don't know - like with a girl I might like her blonde hair, her smile, and the way she looks at me but I don't know what it would mean to love "her for her." I love the way she makes me feel. Does that mean I love like a woman?

I'm BP but I honestly don't disagree with what I think is the core TRP message - women generally like confidence/dominance in men. That's been my experience too, but I'm BP because I reject an RP relationship. It's just not something that I want. I don't want to feel like I constantly need to manage my SO. I don't want the RP relationship where she's just this push over submissive with no thoughts of her own.

Higher status might be the wrong way to put it, but I wouldn't expect a girl to stay with me if Elon Musk or Mark Zuckerberg offered. Maybe I just believe the watered down, inoffensive version of hypergamy - women just want the best guy.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/17 02:04 PM

I've never had my heart broken. I've been rejected but I don't get angry about it, at least not anymore. I think I actually accept that women are largely hypergamous in that they'll just try to get with the highest status guy they can find....I never expected a woman to love "me for me" in the first place, so there's not this disillusionment.

A straight guy might want a bj from a gay guy because he's drunk, curious, horny or a combo of all 3. IMO it comes down to whether the guy is turned on and mentally into it... like in college I got a bj from a gay guy because I was drunk horny and curious but I didn't get hard and wasn't into it mentally. It felt fine physically... I don't care what people think but I don't think that it "made me gay." I identify as straight.

Your account is interesting, but I don't get the conclusion that you're drawing from it (okay I'm a little drunk.) Even still, nothing about American men loving hookers means that the sex ratio is terrible for straight men. Plenty of married men and men in relationships go to hookers. Just because they're seeing this hooker doesn't mean they aren't getting laid elsewhere. A huge advantage of a hooker is that your time is limited so you only see her at her best. It's a completely different ballpa…

I'd like to see more personal freedom. I don't really have some grand vision in regard to gender politics; I'd just like people to be able to work out what works best for them. Of course masculinity still has a place, but some people take it way too far. I remember on facebook seeing a picture of this jungle gym from 1900 and the floor was concrete and it was super dangerous and people were like "yeah, men were actually men back then" and it's just stupid. People will just fall and crack their h…

no, the point is trp is to establish dominance and essentially to control/manipulate others to help you in the sexual marketplace by establishing yourself as masculine and a good fuck. if you really just want someone to collar you and be their 'good boy' then it's a different ball game, sorry. there was a thread on trp about this.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/17 10:15 PM

TRP has nothing to offer male submissives, and it even starts to fall apart when the male wants to switch. The behavior and lifestyle advice advocated is to designed to get men laid, establish dominance, and maintain that dominance in the long run. I've spoked with RPers about this and that seems to be the consensus.

-- it is impossible for men and women to discuss intersexual issues in any real, meaningful way such that each can really, truly see and understand the other's viewpoints. On all the rest of your points I atleast kind of agreed, but here I think this is only true if you're not mixing up your sex life. As soon as you start placing the man in the more vulnerable position he does gain an understanding of where women are coming from. It doesn't even have to be pegging, it can be bondage, breath play…

The choice is always "do you want to enter into a relationship with her?" not "do you want to enter into a LTR with her." I would give it a go - the children are inevitably going to become an issue, but I'll take that as it comes. I can see it being the cause of the relationship's demise I have no intention of becoming a replacement father. Also, are finances an issue here? In other words, is the woman capable of supporting her kids and sending them to college or is she expecting my help?

most aspects of femininity are just considered traits of a weak personality. sure, maybe in today's world - but I wonder whether that's a dim reading of it. I hear "femininity" and I often think "soft power." In other words, power through influence, social finesse, and intuition - skills which plenty of men sorely lack. I'm not a woman, but I get the sense that femininity is associated with coping with vulnerability and also being more or less the reactive force. I would flat out disagree if som…

Peterson's view seems all right to me, and it's been a fairly common theme that I've seen in femdom and elsewhere - the idea of bringing "wild" men back to civilization, back to under a woman's control, basically. You can't point to a low SMV male and tell him that he was never "meant" to reproduce. Nature doesn't intend things. There have also been societies and circumstances where there were many more women than men which flipped the script.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/03/17 12:19 AM

I think it's unhelpful and confusing to ask whether something is "real" in the context that you're asking about. I don't set definitions. Definitions are set by social context and they're liable to change over time. All else being equal, I favor definitions that don't marginalize people and promote acceptance.

We don't really need to go porn actresses for this - they've got polls on the matter. RP paints women as being solely sexually submissive but the evidence doesn't really bare this out. About half of women fantasize about dominating a partner and there's even a substantial interest in spanking or whipping a partner to receive pleasure among women.

Somebody with a higher SMV is not "above" me. Someone gains my respect or loses it based on their character - how they deal with the cards that they were dealt (e.g. social class, race, physical stature, etc.) rather than how lucky or unlucky someone is at birth. This implies that you respect people with disabilities less. If someone has a disability, all else being equal, it lowers their SMV. This is a little sad to hear and it's definitely not how a decent person judges respect.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/17 01:49 AM

No, I'm not. I don't respect someone just for being born into a rich family and having good genetics. It's completely ridiculous to do so. We're all humans - you don't immediately gain my respect for getting lucky.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/03/17 01:39 AM

We respect people for their value This is the RP sperginess that you always hear about - it's way out of line with how a neurotypical person thinks. Us neurotypicals wouldn't just immediately respect, say, Kim Kardashian or Gwyneth Palthrow just because they're good looking and high SMV. If someone told me so IRL I'd just think that they were joking.

What do you think of this as (one piece of) evidence for men's attitudes to their partner's pleasure during sex? IME a lot of TRPers don't care about their partner's pleasure or at least pretend not to. Once you step outside that it's fairly normal for a man to be concerned with that. Thanks for the insightful response. Are you dominant or submissive? I've played both roles. I really only enjoy being submissive to a certain type of older woman - not typically to women my age (26) or younger. I've never really developed "the feels" just from dominating someone or topping, but a good submissive experience is a completely different story and I find myself wanting that intimacy afterwards. I'll agree to an extent - but not if that fear is about yourself. Personally, I need intimacy for a very happy life. I can't for the life of me see how TRP is compatible with that. Maybe I should have asked about intimacy within TRP.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/17 02:56 AM

By all means be abundant. I don't think that I've ever used fear or ego as tools to achieve a goal. If I want to achieve a goal I really try to be logical about it. Anger is short-lived as a motivator and tends to give way to reflection over time.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/17 02:56 AM

I feel like this is just a roundabout way of saying "TRP is just the facts." But I could take those facts and go a different way - I could go MGTOW, or I could seek out the, I don't know, 1% of women who don't go for Chads. Facts don't force actions. They can certainly cause fear.

I wasn't going to reply to this initially since I've really learned to dislike morality debates - but I've got some time now and I've had some time to clarify my position. To answer your question, no I don't have a specific system of ethics and looking back on my college studies it seems patently bizarre to, say, hold a debate on whether "objective" morality exists or not. It's immaterial. Systems like kantianism or utilitarianism can also lead to some really bizarre consequences and any discuss…

I do care about men's issues, though. If you have a concern with me or what I've done/said, I'd be happy to hear it. Any reasonable feminist should be concerned with men's issues too. If, for instance, male prison rape was becoming an epidemic (is it?) it's not "anti-feminist" to point that out and stick up for the guys getting raped. Obviously you can define feminism multiple ways, and I definitely can't explain the details of all of them - but the way it's always been explained to me is just b…

/r/PurplePillDebate16/02/17 04:11 AM

It would actually tell me more if a woman specifically said that she wasn't a feminist. A lot of women claim to be feminists, and it can mean a lot of things - but shunning the label entirely (at least where I am in an urban, coastal area) tells me much more. I'd expect feminist women to be more independent, educated, and maybe a little more willing to switch roles in bed.

Pretty sure I do realize when it happens. Anyway, enjoy your male friendships centered on asserting dominance over each other. Sounds really fun.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/17 02:16 AM

It's fine if you're kind of a dick, but if you're trying to assert dominance over me then I'm going to be creeped out and I'm going to suspect that you want to fuck me. Save it for the women or gay men who are into that type of thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/02/17 12:16 AM

If another guy acted mean and dominant towards me, I wouldn't respect him - I'd feel immediately creeped out and just avoid him. do you honestly believe that it's good advice to act mean and dominant towards other men (presuming you don't want to have sex with them?) If I were to act dominant towards anyone it would be women that I'm sexually interested in, but that's not really my style.

I guess this is something straight guys just can't wrap their minds around. Sex, even good sex with someone you're attracted to and/or love, is always invasive on some level to the one being penetrated. The ones who have been penetrated get it. Maybe more straight guys just need to get penetrated.

Let me tell you why. A woman will date a 5'5" baby face cry baby and a 6'5" well built stoic man. But the moment the 5'5" even so much as imply something "offensive" she's gone whereas the 6'5" can be many times an asshole and she'll still tolerate him. If we're gonna go down this path, we can also point out the other side: sure, the 6'5 guy can act like an asshole but he can't act un-manly or show weakness, whereas the 5'5 guy gets a little more leeway there. i'm just saying it goes both ways.

If this is the case, then a men's power rests on how women respond to him - in other words, it's ultimately women who determine his power - not him. A real man doesn't need others to validate him. A guy could spit killer game and not close just because he's unlucky or due to bad circumstances, while a less skilled guy could put out half the effort and game and still score - there's no reason why the second guy is more "powerful" or superior to the first. In any case, a man whose happiness rests …

Men can have sex pretty easily if they just want to bang other men. It's nothing about being male or female, it's about the unlimited sexual morass that is the male gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/17 01:11 AM

Then there is the broad middle. These men are getting some sex, sometimes. If your entire concern is just with sex then just get rich and bang hookers every day or weekend whatever. I think you might just be better off opting out of sexual marketplace and just making money instead if your only concern is sex and you don't really enjoy the company of women. It's sad but it's true, and I don't know why more RP men don't do this. Honestly, a lot of RP it seems just don't like women - in other words…

Trixie Tang from Fairly Oddparents. I remember this one episode where Timmy turns into a girl or something and becomes Trixie's best friend, and Trixie confides in him that she just want a boy who can admit to liking girl stuff, and then Timmy turns back into a male and does that and it goes really poorly. Some early red pill right there. Trixie Tang - AWALT.

Great, then we're on the same page. I will say that I view the "real self" as somewhat bare though compared to the self that experience has given me. Problem is that creepiness is literally a social construct, whether something is creepy or not changes with culture, time and location. It's funny that you're going with cultural relativism on this one - something that is often used by BP. With that said, creepy men have been sniffing or following women home since the beginning of time. I think you need to re-think your defense here.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/01/17 10:49 PM

yep - no substitute for a lack of social skills. I'd say that it's the single most important thing that a man can have.

I personally find overly stoic men to be a bit boring, but that's personal taste. typical BP hamstering - if this is the case then why do the top 20% of stoic men get 80% of women? young, submissive, fertile women love stoic seed, it's just science.

Chad is used a few ways - sometimes its a stereotypical fun-loving jock, other times its just any tall, good looking high value man who women love.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/17 11:42 PM

Sure, the drunk chicks in the club scene will gravitate towards Chad but if Chad also has his pick of the lot why would he go for some slutty 6 as opposed to the 8s and 9s?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/17 11:39 PM
4

This. A blue pill woman could still be attracted to Chads. It's a matter of what you believe regarding gender roles and issues of consent and communication that I've found to be the biggest divides. You don't control what you're attracted to.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/17 11:25 PM
7

Well, if you want to build a family it might help if you could attract a woman. Good luck with the slut shaming and 'men build civilization' lines.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/01/17 10:26 PM

There's no reason that your average, employed mid 20s man with half decent social skills shouldn't be able to hook up with a slut. Sure, it's no guarantee and he may fail but there's no reason that sluts are inaccessible for your average non-pathetic man. Your average man isn't an shut in. Either way slut shaming indicates some combination of judgmentalism and insecurity - neither of which are attractive.

Sex is determined by chromosomes. So before the 1880s when chromosomes were discovered humans did not really know what sex they were? I guess I should tell people that I am "probably male" given that I've never had my cells under a microscope. But I get it - it can determine which biological sex you were born into, but why does this have to be the same thing as the sex that you really are? We aren't just victims of our own biology.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 07:52 PM
1

Ok, but couldn't a female have a "male brain?" What is the exact determiner whether someone is male or female?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 06:57 PM
1

What makes a man? A dick and a pair of balls? Simply XY chromosomes? A certain courage or strength of will? Is being a man something that needs to be earned or grown into? Sure, someone can fit the current biological definition of male - but what if they live their life as a woman? Are they "really" a man? Understand that we use the term "masculine" or "male" outside of a strictly biological sense all the time. Nobody is disputing that biology of it, but the biology is not all-encompassing.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 06:37 PM
1

I'd imagine that its annoying because they've been fighting against it their entire life. I don't know what it's like. I don't have gender dysphoria and I've never questioned my gender identity, but I do know that as a male I'd have been extremely uncomfortable had I been born into a female body. It would not have worked with my brain.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 02:07 AM

It would be really insulting to call a transwoman a man or to tell her that she's "not really a woman." It's not like you're necessarily wrong in creating your own little category for her, but in a real life situation you'd be an asshole. The way I see it is that if someone essentially since birth has had a strong disposition towards the other gender and a consistent, on-going sense of gender dysphoria who are we to say that they're wrong? In many cases there is a long history.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/01/17 12:50 AM
2

Your argument is probably going over my head. I think of dominance in terms of being able to issue commands/orders and to be able to get them followed through on. It's being able to command influence, and it can be won whether there's respect or not. For instance, an attractive woman can dominate a man through her sexual appeal - that doesn't require respect, only influence. I'd say that there's an element of fear to genuine domination though.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 11:58 PM

Well I'm in the military so that's where my perspective comes from. You know, lead all you want and take those extra responsibilities. Just don't be complaining when you find out you've got no free time and you're working hours after your co-workers have gone home. You gotta be a man, right?

I take it you've never worked for the government. You can "lead" all you want - just know that there's no real extra reward (and certainly no pay bump) and if something goes wrong it's on your shoulders and there'll be consequences. But go ahead - be the leader. Work those 14 hour shifts.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 11:17 PM
2

Well isn't TRP basically saying that as a male you should be the one in the dominant position?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 09:39 PM
3

Look, it's ultimately about the type of relationship that you want. It comes down to the individuals. Plenty of women are on board with a more traditional captain/first mate dynamic, and that's a totally fine dynamic - but the idea that simply on behalf of being male I have some biological mandate to dominate women is kind of psychotic.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 09:02 PM
5

Now, there is clearly a question of which gender is best suited to dominance. In real life we're dealing with people, not really genders. The male may have some serious psychological baggage; he may not want to be a leader. The woman just might be better suited for role - lets say she's an executive or something. It's always a question of the dynamic between the individuals, never the gender. This is where TRP falls apart.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/01/17 07:43 PM

*Men bond with a woman via his perception of her sexuality. I think you could say the same for women here. You can't separate a man's sexuality from him - sexuality permeates everything we do. Furthermore, I think the men who think that women get attached via sex are chicken/egging it. Fair enough, I'm not a woman so I can't really comment on this.

IME men bond emotionally through sex seemingly more intensely than women. So much so they project this onto women. This is not my experience. I've never bonded with a ONS via sex. I've banged a lot of hookers and again - no bond. Not even once. "Bonding" requires intimacy/vulnerability. So, communication and a genuine expression of who one is and what one wants. I think a real man doesn't really give a fuck if others see him as a "real man." Additionally, a real man doesn't even use the term "real man." I've never even heard this phrase IRL - definitely not among the guys I hang out with. So yeah, bro culture hyper-masculinity is fragile - but I don't consider this real masculinity. I think true masculinity is embodied through behaviors and character rather than appearance.

Not a woman here, but I suspect that this is the case on average. Men, in general, are just more likely to talk about things like sports and trucks and shit as opposed to women who tend to be more relationship-centered. I hate to be pulling evo-psych "TRP" here, but it was really important for women to learn to read body language to recognize the needs of their children and infants. Of course a man can be good at this too and vice-versa.

Be honest and upfront about it. It's like if you were talking with a native Russian speaker and he screwed up his grammar you wouldn't judge him in the same way as if you were talking to someone who you thought was a native English speaker who just did the same thing. That kind of honesty and being upfront about your condition gives you a buffer. I think you need to also learn to love yourself, and that includes accepting your autism.

I'd be willing to date that person, but I think the open-ness would hinder the depth of the relationship on my behalf at least. I would tend to consider it more casual. I'd be a little more guarded, and less invested emotionally... nothing against open relationships though and they can definitely work for some people. EDIT: I would still date someone who insisted on being open if I liked them because I still see value in the relationship even if it's not my ideal.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/11/16 03:03 PM

The original MGTOW is not a movement or something, it's simply the decision to put the focus on yourself, become the best possible version off you you can imagine and do not grant women and sex to take a big place in your daily life. I like this explanation as a pro-MGTOW blue piller. MGTOW isn't misogynistic anymore than a straight woman who doesn't want to date is misandrist. I like it because at it's core it's about self-ownership, setting your own standards, and freeing yourself from social …

Now you're just throwing names at me. You can't give group A a test, and then if, say, group B scores higher than them go along and claim that group B is inherently more intellectually gifted than group A. It's not even a matter of racism or sexism, it's just lazy thinking. What about other forms of intelligence like social or emotional intelligence? What about the social backgrounds of the test takers? What about the language used on the test and how that lines up with the backgrounds of the te…

no, an iq test is just a standardized test which attempts to measure some conception of intelligence. I remember reading that Jews actually scored very low on it when they were tested around the time of WWI and the 1920s. how certain groups score on it is subject to change over time and obviously education.

No, but people routinely draw really bad conclusions from facts. For instance using IQ scores to make claims about natural intelligence or something like that.

Sure, intuitive moral reasoning can lead to all kinds of problems but so can "reason based" thinking which values rules and methods above human cost. One of Kants famous maxims was that you should never lie - this rule was based on reason - but when you're hiding Jews in your attic and a neighbor gets suspicious is this really the place to get truthful?

"Healthy"? Tell me how "healthy" it is for people to self accept themselves into extreme obesity and anonymous sex with thousands of strangers because that looks like what the self esteem movement has moved into these days. Self-acceptance and total complacency are not the same thing. You need to separate these two. Here's the deal - if you don't have a baseline level of self-acceptance or self-love, then whatever you accomplish is meaningless because the accomplishments are going to someone who…

You can continue to self-improve - which is a very healthy habit and still accept yourself. The two aren't in conflict - you can like yourself, while at the same time think about ways that you can improve. Liking yourself isn't the same thing as being perfect. I rehearse the ways I've fucked up socially during the day like a hardcore Christian at confession. I don't think this is healthy.

All right, lets say a woman is a powerful CEO who just by the nature of her jobs needs to tell people what to do and demand respect. Under your point, assuming I'm understanding you correctly, this is contrary to her real need to be submissive to a man. I'm first going to respond that just because she's a woman doesn't mean that her "true nature" is to be submissive. I don't think anyone is in a position to tell anyone else what their "true self" is. Even if she is submissive, she's submissive t…

However, sex is the largest, and most prominent (ultimate) source of validation for men. It is the truest, purest form of a man being validated for his masculinity and attractiveness. Nothing matches a girl getting naked for you and wanting you to have sex with her. We need to separate the act of sex and sexual desire. I know a friend of a friend who gets prostitutes weekly - he's in a position where he can afford it... so that's 52 women a year and I'd assume his n-count is pretty high. But did…

I'm not going to keep arguing with you on this. Ultimately, you choose your mindset. You can either think to yourself "well, women don't really want men and I'm not a top 10% man so fuck it I got dealt a bad hand" or you could throw away that toxicity and work on yourself and your charisma and view people as individuals with unique backgrounds instead of defining them by their gender.

Afterwards is proven by the break-up rates being skewed, and you can't blame the break-ups on men because lesbian relationships have the highest, and gays have the lowest. That just means that they might not want that particular person, they're not rejecting the gender. And male suicide rate after break-ups being 10 times higher than the female suicide rate. women tend to have better social networks and healthier ways of dealing.

while men are attracted to most women. I'd say that proves that men want women more than women want men. No one is disputing that men want to fuck women, but how about afterwards? Who's more liable to catch feels after 1 night stands? Who's more likely to bring up marriage and long term commitment and babies? You're comparing apples to oranges.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/16 07:10 PM

A woman breaking up with a man isn't a proof that women don't want men, or that men want women more than women want men. She often wants a different man. Honestly, who wants who more would be really difficult to prove and would probably vary based on the day. How much do you want a woman after you blow a load? Exactly. Depending on where a woman is in her cycle changes her sex drive.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/11/16 06:53 PM

Okay but women don't want men as much as men want women This isn't the healthiest mindset and ultimately there's no way to prove whether it's true so I'd just ditch it as a belief. There's no doubt men want immediate casual sex more than women, but I think more women crave emotional intimacy so in terms of who really wants the other sex more... it's difficult to tell.

I like it when a woman has less body hair. I don't think there's anything sexist about that, it's just a personal preference. I'm not naturally hairy and I shave or trim a lot of what does come in so a woman who doesn't shave could be hairier than me. I like maintaining a certain aesthetic and if I get the sense that my partner isn't really concerned with upkeep it's not attractive to me. I don't know if I would deny sex for it though I've never slept with a very hairy woman.

I'm not saying you need to sub, but if you're going to say "this is how sex should be" it might be nice to consider your partner. Or you might really just be saying "I'm a dom and this version of bdsm/sex best suits me" and that's entirely fine.. we'd just be having different conversations.

Yeah, if you're doing some cliched fireman or plumber role play I can see why you'd think it's a little lame. We're on the same page. I like to go into a role play with a goal. Generally that's to try to explore one specific side of me with the psychological distancing helping me to do that. Sure, I'd play the fireman if an SO wanted it but it's not a role that really rings true to me. I can definitely see how it could be dangerous to a relationship though.

I don't know what to say in regard to the "realness." I will say that I cannot escape my dominatrix's binds. I've made a concerted effort. If she wanted to castrate me last session she could have done so. Even though I was physically powerless I'll admit it still didn't seem "real" to me, and just like play, but had she walked up with a scalpel and put it next to my balls it certainly would have felt a bit more "real." That would have been horrifying... if that's "real" then I don't want it.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/16 08:23 PM

ok, you're saying things should be as spontaneous and unplanned as possible but you're not imaging what that's like for the sub who's going to bear the brunt of the shit if something goes wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/16 08:13 PM
1

Ideally things would be as spontaneous as possible but if you're giving up control to someone then you need to communicate limits to them. Imagine if you were subbing to a bodybuilding amazon who could overpower you... would you really just want to write her a blank cheque to your body?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/16 07:40 PM
2

I can see why you would say that, and I'm not going to get into a discussion about what's "real" and what's not, but I will say that often when people get into a role via a roleplay it can be a little easier to get them to open up via psychological distancing (i.e. it's no longer "you" who is doing it.) I find role plays and the acting involves allows me more freedom to explore different sides of myself without judgment.

You make fair points. I've put forth my case and I'm not interested in further discussion on this. I'll just end with this - I don't think TRP (e.g. always thinking of women as something to managed or manipulated or gamed) would allow someone to fall in love. I don't think any rational human being would want a loveless life.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/16 08:58 PM
4

Have you ever been addicted to something? Did you hear about the south korean guy who gamed for like 3 days straight and died? Do you think he wanted to get off? For him making progress in that game was "winning" but he was killing himself. Also, who doesn't care about being healthy? It's fine to just agree to disagree here, but I think if you've dealt with addiction you'd see things differently.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/16 08:48 PM

Define 'winning'. I'm talking about a broader, more general well-being. As far as I can tell, winning means you get everything you want out of whatever you're doing/playing. What if I'm a crack addict and all I want is more crack? Am I really winning at life if I find a shitload of crack in a trashcan after my family disowned me for stealing their shit to pay for crack? You might say "yes" and that's fair.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/16 08:35 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/16 03:04 AM

Even if you get good at TRP game you never really win. If you're constantly treating women and romantic partners like children who need to be manipulated you are not "winning" at least not from any kind of mature, adult standpoint.

Because you can't tell a guy to be more dominant or manly in bed. It defeats the purpose. He either does it on his own or he doesn't. Well, could you tell a man to stop or ease up? Is it really your place as a woman to interfere with his "masculine energy." Of course you could. You're equal partners and adults. Communicate. To further illustrate: I have a sadistic side to me. Yes, and it works the same way for women. If a wife just keeps her mouth shut, doesn't assert yourself, and her life revolves around fulfilling her husbands needs in the kitchen and the bedroom she's asking to be exploited.

How you can/do deal with the weakness is part of how much weakness there is, don't you think? Yes...do you have a concrete example? it's perceived as a weakness. Typically, I would say "yes" but by discussing it instead it hiding it I can control the perception of it. But being able to deal with it means that overall that's less of a weakness than it otherwise would be. When I say "deal" I'm talking about it in a broader sense, i.e. living with it/coping with it. Not solving it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 04:33 PM

I think it's more about how you deal with the weakness than about what the weakness is specifically. As a person with a disability I think it's not right to act like it doesn't exist; I would rather talk openly about it and that allows me to frame it the way I want and can sometimes feel a sense of empowerment. It's not like "over X amount of weakness" is too much weakness. So much of it is about the way you handle it and the message you're giving off.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 02:41 PM

It's not the man that is despised but the weakness. Even this I don't go by. I have a friend who is overweight and out of shape. I do not despise that weakness. It's just a part of life and something that he's struggled with. I just see stuff like that as a part of life... I don't despise these types of things even in the abstract.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 02:18 PM

If a man asks for help, you can lend him a hand Yes, and do you despise him for it? if he continuously comes to you That is not weakness - that is pestering and laziness on his part. Everyone has some kind of weakness, how you deal with that weakness says a lot about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 01:54 PM
3

Fair enough, but I'd like to add that weakness and strength do feed off of each other. In other words, someone who has some issue (weakness) but handles it well could be very sexy. Weakness/vulnerability will always be there, its about how you handle it. Personally, I have a disability that I can't really hide particularly well so the TRP advice to "destroy/hide all weakness" just isn't doable for me. I don't really think it's particularly doable for many others as well.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 01:39 PM

Male weakness is universally despised Really? Are you a man who despises weakness in other men? If a buddy came to you with a problem would you despise him?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 11:42 AM

no...only to a certain extent. if you were totally entitled to her body you could bite her nipples off or something like that. there's obviously limits to what you can do these limits just aren't explicitly stated. i guess in simplest terms its access to her vagina, but you'd need to discuss butt stuff before hand because it shouldn't be taken for granted.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/16 01:12 AM

I'm glad I'm not the only one who lost their virginity to a prostitute. Mine was super judgmental though. After I lost my virginity to her she told me I was "obviously inexperienced." She later judged the fuck out of me for wanting to do butt stuff. Fun times.

That's not what I said. I was talking about poor social skills not being awkward on occasion. All I said was that in general a hot body won't overcome poor social skills when dealing with women. When I say "low value" I'm referring to the sexual marketplace. I'm not saying that he's low value as a human being or something like that.

Women, in general. You can still make those kind of statements while acknowledging that. There is such a thing as a generally unattractive trait and a general way that women weigh attractiveness.

This is just not true. Work on your voice, body language, and personality. That'll get you a hell of a lot farther than looks alone. Looks help, but even good-looking socially awkward men are still low value, make no mistake about it.

Absolutely not, the power balance in their relationship is way too one sided. It's a dead bedroom. This is a good question. I definitely think there's a place for that type of advice, but I don't know if I would phrase it in terms of "being a man." Strictly speaking, the fact that I have XY chromosomes doesn't entail that I must do something or act some way. It makes sense more to say "if you want to be more successful with women and in life you should do X, Y, and Z." No problem.

I can't think of any traumatic experience. I like their strength and confidence. I think you'd be surprised about the amount of men into dominant women. Pro dommes are like the Chad Thundercocks of the female world; a lot of these guys don't even want to bang them they just want to serve them. It's really quite common; I'm not at the point where I want to be someone's slave but plenty of men are. Can I ask, What made you become a "former" TRPer? I have every reason to be TRP at this point. I'm actually a former TRPer. I'm also quite traditionally masculine. That said, when I see another guy who's not I don't immediately think that this per…

I'm a guy who enjoys being dominated but it's not because I consider myself submissive. I love femininity (and you bet these pro dommes are attractive) and power. Imo trp guys who are afraid of or intimidated by female power are just insecure. Sure, I can dominate a petite chick and that's fun but a confident, strong, feminine woman in a corset and eye liner will get my head turning every time. I'm not intimidated by their power or confidence; I love it.

Wouldn't it be much easier just to pay for a sex worker? For what? Only sex? Absolutely. Sex is cheap if you've got a decent paying job and some savings. But most men want more. This is an unfortunate view of sexual value. give me a decent looking woman with a nice voice and a dirty mind that matches mine and I'm set. It's about how she gets me going on the here and now. Height is such a stupid topic; you aren't going to change it so why talk about? Whatever your height is you need to embrace it and stop wishing you were taller. I'm 5'6/5'7 and I love my height. I agree that without the goal the knowledge is useless - tell that to your peers who haven't got the message. You were good until you oversimplified by "...but if you don't want to attract women, there is blue pill, or mgtow subs." Think more in terms of the type of relationship you're going for (i.e. captain/first mate) you could still be interested in women and not want that type of relationship, thus you hold back on the dominance. Blue pill says "just be yourself"; Red Pill says "be the best you that you can be", but the caveat is that it is a hard and painful task to do that. This can't be RP - RP tells you how to be a dominant man, which may or may not be "you." You are ultimately the authority on who the best you is. In other words TRP says "be this" which is not the same thing as an all-encapsulating "be the best you."

I guess the way I wrote it up sounds a bit too sexy and vanilla. Let's say he slammed her head against a wall and broke her nose because he gets off to the sight of blood and injured, vulnerable women. We're just talking about establishing some hard limits. I don't see what's so controversial.

I agree, but they might. Dominant men have all kinds of tastes including quite violent ones. Rough sex is a pretty common sexual fantasy for men, but who needs communication? Not like a 200 lb man might take that play a little too far with his 110 lb wife. Edit - I didn't see the last two stanzas of your response because I'm on mobile.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/16 09:56 PM

I don't understand; dominant men just do what they do - their way or the highway. What's wrong with him violently throwing you up against a wall? Plenty of people are into that kind of thing sexually.

Would you like it if your husband came home from work, grabbed you by your shirt, hurled you against a wall and fucked you? I don't know, do you just want a gorilla who imposed his will on you and doesn't really care whether you're into or not because it's what he wants?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/09/16 09:34 PM

The bdsm community actually has very healthy sexual attitudes that just wouldn't vibe with trp. Consent and communication are huge, and anyone discussing how to bypass last minute resistance would be shunned immediately. The community is sex positive whereas trp is wary of female promiscuity and generally hates the idea of female dominance. But I guess in a way young terpers are just being taught to be shitty doms.

Like how some women enjoy it. It's cool that you enjoy that, I enjoy it too given the right circumstances but you can see how it can get out of hand... If you just let her sexually objectify you 24/7 you'd basically be her bitch. For instance she might want you strip naked and be her chair or toilet. I don't know, maybe you'd be into that but you can see why a lot of guys wouldn't be.

Would you like it if an attractive woman started ordering you around in the bedroom to fulfill her own desires? I think that's sexual objectification at its core. Like if she wasn't really concerned about what you were into, but she was still using you sexually.

Rational people avoid at all costs sowing the seeds of their own destruction. Ideally we could avoid this sowing, but life sometimes just places us into competition with people. If you're vying for an executive position you'll be competing against your co-workers and could cause some resentment if you get it. It's really just a matter of how aggressively you're going to pursue it.

By all means, take preventative measures against rape, just know that you're not wrong for not taking them. The fault of the rape is entirely on the rapist whether the victim took preventative measures (e.g. traveling with a group, carrying mace, etc.) or not.

Rationally speaking. There might be a reason behind robbery, none behind rape whatsoever.

Because they revolve around showing something an opportunist wants (like money), by wearing expensive clothes or a rolex watch in a dangerous part of town. Analogies that compare rape to robbery are shitty because the two crimes are very different. Rape is always completely unnecessary, whereas robbery might make some sense to the perpetrator - maybe he'd be homeless without it or his wife needs expensive medication. Rape is much more horrific than an alley robbery and makes much less sense.

I'm not arguing here - the prostate orgasm is amazing and male body is capable of enormous amounts of sexual pleasure, it's just that a lot of guys don't really venture there. your typical male orgasm is really fleeting and women can maintain arousal all day and their orgasms, at least from my perspective seem a hell of a lot better than your typical male one.

TBP as a whole is a group that dislikes incels. I happen to also dislike incels. Why does someone's sexual history (or lack thereof) matter to you or TBP? What about men struggling with their sexuality who are afraid to put themselves out there and don't pursue women? Anyway, I'd say around C2 is where things are getting pretty dire. This is really dependent on the situation. Being approached by a stranger is generally just uncomfortable regardless of whether you're male or female. Yeah, sometimes people (not just women; I've been approached by gay men) are unnecessarily harsh on the approacher because the situation was just uncomfortable for them despite the approacher being polite. Other times the approacher just acted creepy and make the situation more awkward by lacking game. You can be good-looking and still creepy.
