It's just another attempt to capitalize on our loneliness by billionaire tech bros. Almost everyone participating here lacks societal understanding and is so deep into consumerism they are unable to realize this.

Societal trends don’t move that fast Well just 15 years ago online dating sites were a social reject's last resort to meet with some below average obese person, which consisted the vast majority of the use. But see how normies appropriated this and now the original demographic gets ridiculed for shooting their short there.

Maybe if you're accustomed to misanthropy it would indeed seem accurate to you. To anyone else it seemed like ramblings of someone who potentially needs medical supervision.

I don't but those who think like you are currently a negligible part of the decaying society. You know kind of like you go to America and think oh everyone seems like a chill person here until you come to realize the vast majority voted from Trump and is pro-life.

because it's already a given they're talking about the hottest person. I'm unfortunately indirectly quoting other people, specifically women, I've encountered that have admitted to this. I agree it is harsh and shallow but otherwise a widespread notion. And it's not limited to any particular age group btw.

My point is, you don’t have to be the most attractive guy the woman has been with. If she finds you reasonably attractive it’s enough to work with. May be the case for normal people, I don't think zombies addicted to dating apps and social media have any hope of being remedied. But any form of interaction with them is probably a waste of time anyway. The problem is that this way of living spreads like a disease turning otherwise healthy individuals into emotionally dull validation addicted creat…

You almost had me until you said Objectively she’s probably an 8 and those party girls were 9 which effectively makes me believe that unless you're biased in your wife's rating, you didn't really end up with someone physically different compared to what you were after younger.

Women complaints are more about personality ...because it's already a given they're talking about the hottest person. They're repulsed by a say 6/10 with 8/10 personality than an 8/10 with a 3/10 one.

Yes. Just like almost everyone does to an extent, and in fact those that do it the most are the ones into the materialistic way of living which includes participating in redpill/blackpill and other subcultures.

They can keep doing so indeed but can also opt out of paying their taxes. It's not as uncommon as you might think depending on where you live but if it happens at an even larger scale than it is currently, stark social consequences concerning anyone are unavoidable. This is an economic fact regardless of whether those stopping to contribute are sexless or not.

It's completely weird to see how many of you relate to a totally appropriated and diluted definition of the blасkpill. Which makes it likely that you learned about it from some grifter YouTuber trying to sell you something. Otherwise you'd be aware the origins of blackpill are based on genetic determinism and relationships between genders lacking fundamental connection being everything and self-improvement being a pitfall those unable to comprehend its limited efficiency fall for. The less than 5% can opt out all they like but theyd still be participating by buying stuff. The 60% of men that is sexually unsuccesful are paying taxes beneficial to the rest 40% and the vast majority of women pairing up with the latter. Their contribution in that sense is way higher and less beneficial to them compared to consuming fundamental products to survive.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 02:02 PM
1

Yes I agree however I still believe many men would be more than content with a cohabitating relationship like that. Which supposedly woman also prefer but in reality find very unappealing.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:57 PM
1

Because it's a lot higher than that and can easily reach a percentage where social programs and living standards for the rest of the people deteriorate! The vast majority of them won't be able to cope with this reality and will opt out of contributing to the economy. The fact that they are non-existent in the dating market doesn't negate that they're part of the backbone that supports the economy with their labor.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:51 PM
1

The point is that they aren't actively searching to date. You didn't get it, that's exactly the idea I was challenging. Their standards are unrealistic and they're indeed searching to date if local high-in-demand women is all they're going after, hence the IG example.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:47 PM
3

I would say the majority of the men in this subreddit, niceguys, and the askmen subreddit all have similar standards. It's hard to feel any empathy for them though if that's the case. Or at least it's very hypocritical to shame women, who are as shallow as they are anyway, for acting the same.

Referring to other people as having "market value" that supposedly declines with age in women and with no resource providing capabilities in men isn't enough evidence for you? Or that women are supposed to offer sex in exchange for resources? You've probably become so accustomed to these notions that you aren't able to realize how derogatory they sound to those unfamiliar. /r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 01:02 PM

You're displaying you lack fundamental understanding wide-scale sociological impacts, reducing this to how this individually affects you only. The world's not revolving around you I'm afraid to inform. If they can live without working sure go for it. That's the issue, they will continue doing so and tax evading so now the REST of those not into the same plight will have no access to most of their welfare.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 12:41 PM

It's not anyone elses problem in the sense that they don't have to date them or provide them solutions to get sex. Everyone is having their individual and social benefits jeopardized if "LVMs" are opting out out of sustaining the economic system.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 12:32 PM

Man idk what to tell you, I knew a bunch of guys like the ones you talked about and they claimed the exact same I'm done with chasing women. I think you've changed the subject a bit? Yes it's a very good idea to focus on non-romantic relationships instead. This isn't much the point here. I was discussing how the definition of giving up on the opposite sex differs for men and women. Unless you bring it up to support that women who give up on dating aren't as affected as men because they have better support systems. That's true but as I said before it is not the reason, not the only one at least, they aren't collapsing. They just don't…

Your advice would be very relevant if people hadn't become terminally online materialistic zombies. For all those men who have crazy perceptions about what most women look like, there's also the same amount of women being disgusted at the sight of anyone who they're not sexually attracted to. Young people and those deep into OLD are so broken.

Not even a goal of a loving fulfilling relationship where you see that person as an equal to you, but just to have sex with. I've thought this many times but even if one were to look for a woman that would simply live together with, taking care of each other without having to sleep together necessarily, they'd fail miserably to find any willing candidates.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/25 04:45 AM

This supposedly concerns only a tiny fraction of people so supposedly things should turn out alright? All that remains is largely ethical issues about paying your taxes for the vast majority when they're the ones going to bring to the world their psychologically defective offsprings.

Nothing was destroyed indeed but pretending people, both men and women, aren't getting in their most shallow phase historically is preposterous. It would be the case if they were vetting both for more physically attractive partners and emotionally mature ones. It's still making it a problematic definition of giving up on the opposite sex. This is what I've written a few comments back I propose that a man is being more honest than a woman when they say that they're done with pursuing a love life. As much as I agree with your second sentence, I always find the next one to be problematic since it's effectively suggesting the person adopts an individualistic and materialistic lifestyle. Of course that doesn't mean focusing on career and doing activities you're into is bad, but I'd prefer if there was a component of cultivating social relationships outside sexual involvement. Well that's until you realize the bottom of the totem pole is also a big part of why many tax paying systems aren't collapsing around economies in the world yet. Bаsеd pоst. So many male users in the sub are deprived dogs unablе to come to terms with the reality that they'll never be surrounded by harems of what is largely trаshy materialistic wоmеn. And that those same women will make their lives miserable if they have the misfortune of ending up marrying to some of them. The next step is to circumvent funding the bastard dysgenic products of the creatures involved in this rat race dating environment.

Biologically, yes we are. Biologically, women are driven to want bigger, taller, stronger males to provide the best possible offspring. It is what it is. I really need to make a thread to present some examples of why the evolutionary psychology research often quoted by redpill is of extremely poor quality. For the sake of brevity: they've been consistently ignoring mammal studies and neuroscience research that have failed to validate any of their hypotheses about all sorts of behaviors in humans…

why bother being good when it’s your fault anyway. you were born with original sin. Let's temporarily agree on the absurdity of this statement. That means that being bad enough could easily lead you end up with legal trouble. If you really are around these types of people you shouldn't even bother with sleeping with anyone at all. You're risking way too much for nothing.

Are you seriously saying most guys regardless of appearance have better chances, whether for something short or long term, with way above average women than with average ones?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/25 04:06 PM

Why should similarly broken women be expected to do anything else other than that? Because that means you should be ok when that happens as well, right?

Also both genders are supposed to just "spread their genes" as much as possible so there's no time for vanilla/boring shit like romance, being good friends, having common …

Flowers are a very personal gift, typically reflecting what you think they would like and that you thought of her in that moment, and a monthly subscription to it indicates that you did not select these flowers for her. Not only that, it's also considered an act of spontaneity by most so reducing it to something regular, especially with getting a subscription and not just ensuring you bring them flowers more often, completely kills the romantic vibe.

At the same time, a good romantic relationship can cover both the friendly (through mental connection with a partner) level of communication and also the need for romance and family. I mean, this is completely out of touch with the subreddit's base and hypocritical considering most men here admit to wanting nothing to do with women other than having sex with them. dw too much, the american-centric brainwashed audience here finds it hard to believe there are tons of physically appealing women past 30/35/40.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 07:21 PM

All I know is that it used to be the height equivalent in terms of attraction of TRP about two decades ago, and many grifter gurus back then vehemently denied the importance of appearance/height. Today I suppose it still can be used to invite a not particularly appealing audience if someone's into the more lash lifestyle.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 06:59 PM

How is saying that Most men are at a point where no matter how appealing their behavior is, they won't be able to elicit attraction, at least from a very broad audience. It's clear that the physical traits women find attractive in men are not common A 5 or a 4 or lower can still be attractive to someone. not contradictory? Unless you meant that the 4/5 can be "attractive" in terms of resource providing. And what's exactly that you're not agreeing with them about?
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 06:56 PM

Yeah so what you're saying is completely contradictory to your initial statement: A 5 or a 4 or lower can still be attractive to someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 06:42 PM

Psychologists themselves have stated that isolation is twice as harmful as obesity, and increases the risk of premature death as much as being a chain smoker. That's not up for debate. It's not up for debate, but it isn't explicitly stated that isolation and celibacy are interchangeable. I feel the consensus might be towards complete lack of social relationships, whether that includes romance or not (family/friends).
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 04:20 AM

It's so funny, only a few years back before the dilution of brainrot content into the masses, it used to refer to more invasive approaches like surgery, skin treatments etc. I always find statements like the one made by the ambitious person before about bare minimums like: losing fat, fixing sleep schedule being some part of a sophisticated ritual that will help thrive their sexual life.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 04:03 AM

What do you mean by this? Crudely put, sub8 or death is a very common sentiment here I feel, and it doesn't simply intend to mean the abudance but rather the chance of ever finding someone. Its commonly said on here that a good personality can make an ugly guy hotter to women. I'm not saying that you are 2 or 8 or whatever. What I'm saying is that if someone's attractive cut off for a relationship is 4+, if they see you as a 3- then you don't even get considered. You are automatically filtered out as a potential partner before anything can or could develop. I think the vast majority of people operate that way and there's nothing particularly problematic about it. Everyone wants to be with someone they are physically attracted to. No one would deny that and it would be absurd to do so, but your phrasing is making it sound as it is reserved for only those belonging in the very top percentiles of attractiveness. Which btw have become obsolete, considering the modern dating environment, and with the emergence of better methods for evaluating revealed preferences through speed dating experiments, are actually inaccurate, as you'll realise that both genders' priorities importance converge, even if the surveyed women 50 years ago stated otherwise. Its irrelevance is also apparent from the fact that you stated If your…

I can't find the source but I'm certain in one of the "foundational" evopsych readings TRP appropriates, it was stated that women are primarily are attracted to display of resources and status. Without one needing to endorse or condemn this, it would seem self-sabbotaging for someone subscribing to TRP to challenge one of its core beliefs.

Can you blame them when US is the world's No. 1 mass subculture exporter?

I really think this is an American cultural problem with roots in American consumerism which has unfortunately spread into romantic relationships. It shouldn't come as a surprise that the foundational TRP theories regarding evolutionary psychology are of 100% American origin. I know this doesn't sound right but each year my empathy for the people living there and consuming all this media is getting frailer.

Funny thing is the advice of prominent Evolutionary Psychology researchers, that actually are some whose ideas have been heavily appropriated by TRP philosophy, is that there are things you can more easily change to improve your chances (??). That includes developing positive personality traits (humor, ambition) and physical fitness (upper body training). Kind of amusing that the very same people think publicly admitting that they consider men to be insemination machines and women eugenicist gol…

It would be more accurate to say it's better for short-term pairing.

It's not like you can just meet someone at work like you used to; now that's against company policy or considered harassment. You won't meet someone at church, because people aren't religious anymore. At school or university, maybe, but that ends eventually, and it could easily be considered harassment under campus regulations. Everyone reading this keep in mind that this is a very US-centric POV.

I can tell you that as a 6'0" man, I was once regarded as tall, I have been told that I am short. You may have been described as shorter cause of height inflation but one can assure, unless you moved to a place were the average height was significantly higher than the one you were regarded as tall, the perception hasn't changed. This is the joke about 6'2 being the new 6'0. In fact 6'0 is probably the height with the largest frauding density. Also, I trust your claim as indeed 183 cm is regarded…

Pointless question as stated vs revealed preferences diverge. I'm not even sure people are aware of their true height. At least in the US those assuring that they're average height frequently turn out to be up to three inches shorter than their claim when measured properly. You probably subconsciously exclude those who may not care because they aren't desirable to you.

Why would anyone keep in contact with ex hookups when they’re in a monogamous relationship? You'd be unpleasantly surprised how common is this in many marriages today, I've seen it happen a lot but it's not with people I'm close friends with. And how the concerned partner, man or woman, is instantly dismissed as insecure when they point out they're not okay with it. And what almost always happens is that they get cheated on. I’m talking about women who fucked around a bit when they were in their…

Honestly I wouldn't even count you as having experienced hookup culture, if anything I'm impressed you haven't felt any type of FOMO. But anyway interesting to hear that two encounters were enough to make you feel it's not worth it, especially having been a virgin at this age where one could argue you'd need to "make up for lost time". yet at the same time you are all obsessed with porn whores and want hookups. This is exactly where the problem lies, lol. Wanting to have as many as possible inex…

Also, you goddman hypocrite, you're looking for casual. Why aren't you a useless piece of shit for sleeping around? If these are the users that make those bold claims about women's body counts being detrimental, they indeed show remarkable levels of non-existent self-awareness.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 01:22 PM

My friends who rode the merrygo round This needs clarification, honestly. In this sub there are users who think anything more than one body count is promiscuity which is completely absurd ofc. But otoh, I don't think you're really talking about people, whether that is men or women, who had like three different sexual partners for every season of the year spanning their entire young adulthood and still keep regular contact with them during their (monogamous) relationships, are you?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 01:01 PM

Yeah I pointed that to them that they used the wrong word for that. It's simply disrespectful and gender agnostic IMO.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 07:18 AM

It's worse than heroin truly. But I'd like to clarify when I'm talking about validation driven people I mean those who legit have had sex with tons of others, not those who had the occasional vacation flings during their younger years.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 07:17 AM

Again, it's illogical to think that because someone has sex while single that they will cheat. Having had some occasional vacation sex when young and single, no of course not, it's part of exploring your sexuality actually. But if you have to spend a considerable amount of time listing the people you've had sex with, it's almost guaranteed you'll have a very hard time having your validation needs (cause that's what it's all about when someone has slept around way too much) met from it. There's n…

Zero to do with masculinity and everything to do with respect to your partner. I'd find a promiscuous man introducing his woman, who hasn't agreed to an open relationships, to his (supposedly) former side chicks equally appaling. And no, that doesn't mean you need some virgin with negative social IQ. But let's say that keeping contact with many former FWBs who also happen to be single isn't the most respectful thing to do in a monogamous relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 06:59 AM

I agree 100% with the first part of your reply. You can definitely be loyal in relationships and not only is being a virgin not a necessity, it's more likely to backfire as fomo at a certain point. I find it very restrictive for the sexuality of a person to tell them that they should only explore it with one person for a lifetime. And it's pointless to expect something like that anyway when the overconsumption culture has taken over dating. Of course that is entirely different from being a perso…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/12/24 06:47 AM

If you even read the studies indicating past sexual history is the number one predictor of infidelity you clearly missed the part that men are not exempt from the consequences of having casual sex. You also become a bad bet yourself for being faithful in a relationship. Yes, thank you. There are some previous comments saying that promiscuous people end up getting married, but that is not the point at all. How are their relationships going to end up is the million dollar question. Most of the tim…
