Being artistic doesn't necessarily mean becoming more feminine, and becoming more feminine doesn't mean that you can't pull girls and get respect from the masses. See Freddie mercury for an example of part 2. Authenticity is more attractive than imitation masculinity

I've done nine years of martial arts and this can be true. There are definitely guys and entire studios that are full of betta dudes with Napolean complexes that think they're lethal. There are also places that nail down the concept of hard work, integrity, respect, physical fitness and really try to teach people to self actualize. To anyone considering martial arts, my advice would be to shop around and find a place with the right culture. Almost any martial art is going to make you better than…

Can I message you about your experience as a photographer? It's something I've considered seriously pursuing.

I don't really have advice other than my own high school experience. I'm pretty similar (I play jazz drums, draw, and have considered pursuing architecture). Being an artistic type and dressing that way can sometimes have side effects, I've been told I dress like a lesbian, but I was also voted most fashionable guy at my school... Some people like the artistic archetype, some like to shit on it a bit. The key is not giving a fuck (easier said than done). I tried to blend in more for a while, but…

I've tried that (successfully at first) but then things got really messy. I'm no white night, and I can rebuff some character attacks but this hasn't worked out well in the past for me in terms of social status among my fellow classmates.

Thanks again for the advice! I think I'll avoid rushing anything, but keep working on myself just in case.

This is pretty lucid. I guess I have a truck that works great and I really like but I'm itching to drive every one else's sports cars. I'm not sure if that metaphor is perfect, but it is close. Thanks for the advice mate

Totally understood. I think why it works so well is due to her being somewhat significantly lower in smv. She has to try harder than I do generally. I just feel an urge to go hunt for some new girls event though the relationship itself is fine. I could always raise my smv more -we all could- but I feel like I'm in a good spot. Is there a long term benefit one way or another to staying/ chasing girls?

Good on you about the phone, and getting back outside! I love photography personally, but you can find your own activities that are -as an old instructor put it- "type 2 fun": fun that is sometimes hard and frustrating, where the satisfaction comes 8n the form of long term self satisfaction

Maybe look into some adventurous self-actualizatizing hobbies. A few of my favorites and their benefits are listed below. Climbing/ bouldering: improve your strength while having some adventures/ meeting new people/ overcoming fears Hiking: improve fitness and personal constitution while exploring Photography: build a practical artistic skill, create a more meaningful social media presence (if girls check your Instagram to find a bunch of really nice photographs of your activities, you become mo…

I have considered it a little actually. I think I could be happy with a more artistic trade such as blacksmithing or woodworking, but I don't have any experience with the prior, and very minimal practice with the latter.

And this is why I ask for advice. I really wasn't loving those options either, but it's something I thought about. Thanks for the help!

I suppose my post comes off as rather conceded. I'm not perfect in any respect, but in comparison, I'm better. I hope that makes some sense. I'm always looking to better myself, but sometimes things take a while, ya know? I've been a bit detached with her since I started to realize I may be fighting an up hill battle. I think for now, I'll try and win her over. Easier to say no to an opportunity than to never have it in the first place. Thank you for your help!

Hey, thank you so much for the input. I plan on moving for college, so I am well aware any relationship I get into has an expiry date. They're just nice, ya know? I do my best to keep my shit together. Here's to hoping my social skills and intelligence counterballence my adhd...

Hey man, Previous people, and most of the posts on this sub, are about how to interact with other people. You should find information on that, if you look for it. But, if you approach someone and have nothing to talk about, the fact to walked up to them means fuck-all. So... Get a hobbie. Something that interests you, and could be interesting to other people. Preferably, without a social stigma attached; playing music is a great idea, whereas collecting vintage star wars stamps is going to make …
