I agree with what you're trying to say, which is that it's all about delivery. That said, you do realize that KTTVIP and Mystery's show, and all other TV shows, no matter how real they seem, are edited, scripted, and set up to sell advertisements. Nothing else. You cannot trust your television for accurate information on anything. at. all. Also, being enthusiastic will not make you not creepy. It will just make you enthusiastically creepy.

It doesn't really work that way. Any relationship, friendships included, is based on a agreement of some kind. Sometimes they are overt, most of the time not. When you change your behavior, even if its for the better for you, you change your end of the bargain from the perspective of your friend. They might not even be able to put their finger on what changed, but you drift apart. That's just life. Has nothing to do with superficiality, really.

Totally agree. If things aren't going my way, I try to plow if I think I can, but I'm perfectly happy to eject. I think guys get into a sunk costs fallacy situation sometimes. I call it the eye game. If you're like me, you lock eyes with a couple of people during the course of your day. If they look away first, they lose. Just start playing the eye game wherever you go. Sounds like a comfort/rapport issue to me. If you're drilling the attraction you will get drunken makeouts but no day 2 because she has no idea who you are as a person. You're just a flashy show that she got caught up in while she was drunk, and later she has buyer's remorse. I had the same issue.

I never liked the "Oh I'll go out with someone else" line because it feels to much like "Well I'm taking my toys and GOING HOME!"
