Actually I think there are not just extremes. I guess it is natural to feel that way because extremist views get thrown around in the (social)media for profit and a reaction is easier to get noticed if it is extreme in its own way. I think you don't have an objective view on the show. In most episodes the B storyline was about the failing marriage of Jerry and Beth. So the other characters weren't really in the background. I like that they fleshed out Summer a bit so she is a more rounded character. And it really is just in a few episodes where she gets a bigger part. Did you by chance see any of the episodes after Rickmancing the Stone?
