The website is terrible. I love FDS and hate that it’s come to this.

Same. I’m not going to website. It’s sad that they decided to do this because I for one learned a lot from FDS after I divorced my abusive ex husband and Reddit is accesible. I hope they change their minds.

Whenever I bring a concern to my partner, he’s all ears, never gets defensive and is willing to admit he needs to work on certain things. I love that about him.

She’s also way hotter than him. I don’t know what she’s talking about.

Playing the cool girl gets you the opposite of what you want. I am ridiculously firm on my boundaries now and things have really been working for me in this relationship. When I was the “cool girl” I got zero respect.

Yes! Me too. I left my abusive husband 4 years ago. I stayed single for a couple of years, did some inner work and found FDS. I’m now engaged to a kind and educated man who has not once disrespected me.

I think they’re real. My mom is a massive pick me and gets flirty whenever I bring my partner. It’s gross.

This year I want to focus on simplifying my life and having a set weekly chore schedule. I’m saying no to everything that doesn’t add to my life. My credit score has gone up, and I want to apply to grad school. I would like to be a bit more structured with my free time and get on an “adult” schedule even when I don’t have to work. But my main goal is being kind to myself. I don’t know why but I feel a little defeated and that’s scary to me. I hope to improve that.

I’m sorry you’ve also experienced that. I’m glad you’ve found a safe space and a voice to denounce what’s wrong. It makes me mad that we’ve been conditioned to accept violent and abusive behavior. But I’m so thankful for this community. Together we can heal, level up and pave a better future for little girls everywhere! It gives me hope.

My ex husband is the most vile person I have ever met. I wasn't equipped to spot the red flags like I am now. He just does not respect boundaries and has a fragile ego. My experience with him tarnished how I view men. Luckily, I'm currently with a guy who has proven that not all men are sexually depraved. He respects my boundaries, knows when to stop, communicates in bed, does not make a move if I'm drunk and he's not. One of the first times we were intimate, I winced and he immediately stopped …

I went to therapy with my abuser and he put on a clinic! Started crying talking about how bad his childhood was and that he knew that he’d failed me. He was sobbing and everything and I was shocked and fuming! He tried to hold my hand but I was so mad I recoiled from him, to which our male therapist said: “He needs comfort from you.” I was so pissed I never set foot in that place again and will never ever see a male therapist again.

My ex husband did this to me and it worked. I voluntarily isolated myself from everyone and avoided other men at all costs. Terrible.

All I have to say is please work on not carrying that shame. It is not yours to carry. We have been taught and told that our bodies are not beautiful enough and that our worth is based on our beauty and how attractive we are. You were just doing what you could with what you knew. Forgive yourself. You are not the girl you used to be. You should be proud of yourself. Sending a big hug your way, beautiful!

This is not true. The men who believe this are not adept at making their partners orgasm. My current boyfriend ALWAYS makes me orgasm and (probably TMI) he's done it with his penis, fingers and tongue. He's truly gifted.

I am this way and I’m IN a relationship. I don’t know if it’s wrong of me but I don’t care. I enjoy the relationship for what it is and am proud of myself for putting myself and goals first. I’m not “entangled” we are not “one”. It’s better this way.

I don’t like cats. Does that mean I’m a narcissist?
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy16/10/21 07:02 AM

This is true, however, I’m weary of being with anyone that makes me feel as if I’ve been struck by lightning. The only partner that made me feel on cloud 9 and like we were super compatible/meant to be was a narcissist who did not treat me right. Women should not settle for fine! But I’m prioritizing choosing someone who meets my standards and is respectful. I don’t think I’m ever going to feel like I’m struck by lightning again. Also I fucking love Ted Lasso.

I enjoy it and love it! But as others have said, it depends on the partner I’m with. I’m very attracted to my partner. He is the best sexual partner I’ve ever had. He pleases me and is very generous in bed, always makes sure I cum. Because of that I love returning the favor. When I was in an unhappy/unsafe relationship, I would never give him one. So I think it depends on the dynamic of the relationship. Also, I only do it when I’m in the mood, not because i have to. My current partner is very r…

Yes on the low effort posts ban! I’m so glad y’all took the time to regroup. I think the low effort/no strategy misery porn was the only thing that was “ruining” the sub for me. I’m a DV survivor and I KNOW how awful men can be. But being constantly paranoid won’t help me. This sub helped me pick myself up when I was at lowest/greatest: after I left my ex husband and took myself and my kids to the shelter. It helped me understand my value and how to recognize it in men. We need this sub! Thank y…

I used to visit this sub daily when it focused on strategy, leveling up, Queen energy, boundaries, etc. My ex was an abusive narc, I get it. But being with him was enough for me to almost lose my hope in men. It’s not healthy to be bombarded with how depraved men are. I am one of the women who’s consistently triggered. That’s why I avoid FDS. I think we should talk about and do something about the depravity of men, and how abusive they are. But not on this sub. I’ve already lived that abuse and …

Ok so I’ve been dating someone for about 5 months. We live different lives and I’m struggling with that. I have children and coparent with my ex. He has no kids. He’s pretty tame, but is very social. For example. On a weeknight I go to bed after bedtime and he’ll hang out with his downstairs neighbors and smoke weed until late at night. Sometimes his neighbors have friends over. He lives in a big city in a trendy apartment. When we talk he says that he would never hangout alone with a woman out …

Same! As soon as I revealed some of my insecurities (I’m only human, I’m allowed to be flawed) all of the sudden he felt we weren’t ready to be in a relationship. In a way I agreed with him, but ultimately I know it was because I became “real” and he didn’t want that. I do want something real though. So it’s better off this way.

Me too! My ex husband was a narc who derailed my life BUT I learned so much from the relationship. Mainly, that I can be happier single than with a committed partner. I’m going to therapy and honestly from now on will try to really pay attention to my instincts. I don’t know if I should take some time before I date again or just date for fun? I would honestly leave without him knowing. Block and delete. You have to go no contact in order to move on. I was married to a man like that and it was very hard for me to leave him despite him being abusive. Don’t give him an ultimatum. Most NVM tell you what you want to hear. He won’t change. Can confirm. I am a college educated professional queen. Ex husband had a high school diploma. I told myself: “he’s smart and it would be elitist of me to expect my partner to have a degree”. Mr. no college degree strangled me until I blacked out. I divorced his ass. I will never again date down or give any man that does not meet my standards the benefit of the doubt.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy30/07/21 08:23 PM

My ex husband was awful/abusive too. (Had I known about FDS I would not have been with him- he was a walking red flag). For the sake of my kids, I won’t speak ill of him. When they are over 18, if they ask me why we divorced, I’ll let them know. My ex is such a POS, I know I won’t even have to say anything and they’ll understand why we’re better off divorced in due time. But having been on the receiving end of my parents talking badly about each other, I’d rather die than do that to them.

Thank you for this. I’ve always struggled with depression, but that doesn’t mean I’m not worthy of love and respect. I get that when it’s untreated or when I’m a in a really bad bout of depression it would be unfair to my partner if it affected him in any way, but yeah. Kinda stings to see it in FDS memes all the time.

Thank you for responding! I think what I’m struggling with is twofold. On the one hand I worry about precisely what you’re saying: “I don’t feel the spark, or butterflies, maybe this isn’t love”. But on the other hand I’m beginning to think that I don’t necessarily believe in “the one” anymore or “romantic” love for that matter. I want a stable, loving, supportive love. And my current partner does that while also doing other things I only ever dreamed of. I think it’s not that he’s not the one, …

I love that you’ve been able to experience that kind of love! I think it’s not that I’m not satisfied but more that I’m afraid of making the same mistakes. I trust that FDS will help me along the way, as it’s already shifted the way I view myself and relationships for me... I guess I’m really detached from the process because I don’t want to let my heart “spark/butterfly/feeling” make such an important decision especially now that I have kids.

I think you’re right. This is the first time in my dating life that I don’t feel like I’m an incomplete half looking for my other half. I feel powerful, but now I’m questioning whether or not I’m in love... when I write this down I realize how silly this is. I am fully in my power. It is not a bad thing to feel in control while dating, I’m just not used to it.

7

Absolutely. I am going to therapy because of this. I was neglected and abused as a child. And while not all of my relationships have been abusive or have followed that pattern, I think I’m suspicious of good/kind behavior because (with the exception of my first boyfriend) I’ve never known what it’s like to be with someone who is consistently good to me and unconditionally loves me. This man does make me feel things, I’m just not head over heels. I think it has to do with the fact that I’m not fa…

I love School of Life! Thank you for the recommendation. I watched the entire thing last night, and he expresses very eloquently, what I’m trying to say. I no longer think it’s a great idea to decide whether or not to be with someone based on instinct or the “feeling” of butterflies. I stayed at a Domestic Violence shelter. We bonded over our love of True Crime. We watched serial killer documentaries. A lot of us escaped death. I think women specifically listen to True Crime to learn how to protect ourselves, but also (as someone who had a near death experience at the hands of my ex husband) to honor the women who didn't survive.

I can tell you from my experience, I experienced abuse. My ex love bombed me in the beginning by telling me all the things I’d never heard before: that I was beautiful, hot, sexy. That I was smart. He was very kind and attentive in the beginning. He was quick to ask me to be his girlfriend. So I thought he was a good man. This happened to my mom. Her looks and her lack of self confidence or standards made her life difficult. She had a ridiculously curvy (beautiful) body. Big boobs and huge butt. However, her HVM radar is non-existent. She’s had three LTRs. First one (my dad), physically abused her to the point of knocking her teeth out. Second one cheated on her while she was pregnant. If I could give you an award I would. I am middle class, but live in one of the "worst neighborhoods" in my city. I HAVE NEVER FELT SAFER. My neighbors say hi, there is a sense of community, they help each other out. There's always big birthday party happening and the kids are playing outside. I see a lot of love in here. Wholeheartedly agree. I grew up in poverty and was raised by a single mother. And while I do understand where OP is coming from, just like you, I wouldn't be able to "date down" and also being wealthy/upper class does not equal being high value. Escaping poverty and a mindset of scarcity is hard work and that is something that her ex should have dealt with before getting into a relationship. Hello! I love the podcast! I would really love some advice on how to navigate FDS as a single/coparenting parent. More specifically how to vet them not only for you in terms of dating but also for your kids. For example I have two young (under 5) children. As a single mom I’ve read time and again that predators/pedophiles seek out single mothers so they can get close to their kids. Now I know absolutely no one knows how to spot a pedophile. But I was wondering if other FDS Queens had strategies …

Where’s the lie? Edit- just wanted to add that my hardworking lower class grandmother quietly stashed away 10k. My grandfather caught wind of this and slowly spent it all without her knowledge. She just wanted to be able to enjoy her last years. She wanted to be able to go to restaurants, etc. She lost her shit (with good reason) But when their children learned about it they were mad at her for getting mad at my grandfather. I was livid.

My ex was an “alpha male”. Loud and aggressive and presented a very masculine and intimidating persona. Turns out he was compensating for having a very small penis. Current man I’m dating is very well mannered. He is quietly confident. Polite, knows he’s smart and is not constantly trying to prove himself. He just is. HIS DICK IS LONG AND GIRTHY. I believe he has what people refer to as big dick energy lol.

I realized the bar was low for men when after my ex impregnated me, he shared he had an STD. When I brought it up at the OBGYN citing concerns over the transmission of the STD to my unborn child, the nurse downplayed my ex’s (irresponsible) sexual history by commenting: “Aww, don’t give him a hard time, he just knows how to have a little fun!”.

I’m also a fan of Bo and yeah. To me they’re both dead and she probably believes in heaven and wants her mom to say hi to him for her. That’s my interpretation. Edit: a word

Bo is a feminist. His female fans get his comedy, I think half of the men don’t. I wasn’t a fan of his until I saw Eighth Grade, then Promising Young Woman, and last but not least Inside. He’s an ally. I think most people laugh at “White Woman’s Instagram” for the wrong reasons. I really do think it’s genius. He’s poking fun at social media/aesthetic tropes of “basic” white women and then flips it on its head by humanizing the white woman. I was so impressed. Also, (not a white woman) but it pis…

Thank you for this! I love coming here for the HV strategies and it’s always uplifting to see confident women talk about their standards. I’m dating a HVM and all the outrage posting was making me feel horrible. I was starting to feel very pessimistic about my future even though the man I’m dating has been nothing but great so far! Glad to see these rules are going to be enforced.

To add to your point. The focus of the podcast has not been on dating? I’m confused. And I mean no shade by that, I love the podcast. But they are unapologetically feminist and most of the episodes have dealt with how low value and abusive men are. I don’t know a single woman who has not had a bad experience with NV and LV men. My attitude towards dating is living my best life without actively trying to seek anyone. Dating is not a priority. Especially when you see left and right the horrors of …

When I was agreeable and at my lowest weight guess what I attracted? Garbage men just like OP. Now that I’m a little overweight (Covid 19 y’all), a divorced single parent and unapologetically feminist, I attracted a HVM. Why? Because I actually love myself. This is why I truly believe FDS is saving lives. The patriarchy grooms women to fall straight into the arms of predatory men like OP. FDS lifts the veil and reminds us that everything we need, we already have. We don’t need men and we especia…

The one regret I have is that I spent most of my 20s agonizing, analyzing and overthinking everything in relationships. I had two long term relationship from when I was 19 until I was 27. If I could back I would choose myself first and remain single. I lost time, energy and now I’m tied down to a city (I’m learning to love) because I married and had children with a NVM. Because of this, I believe I am on the spectrum and am going to seek a professional diagnosis. When I was a pickme and married to a scrote with a very small penis, I would say “size doesn’t matter”. I WAS WRONG. I am currently dating a man that has a long (8”) and very girthy penis and it feels so fucking good. He made me cum twice in one round. It’s also not a good idea if the abuser is a narcissistic sociopath. My ex husband put on a show and made it seem like I was the “bad guy”. He started crying and playing the victim. I was shocked and didn’t want to comfort him because I knew he was playing games. In the end the counselor treated me like I was a cold hearted bitch.

I left barefoot with one baby on each hip. I am alive today because of that! I was so afraid of being a single mother (because of the stigma) that I considered staying. I am so glad I got out. I did it for myself but also for my girls, I want to them to know they shouldn’t have to tolerate shit from anyone.

This mentality is so toxic! It is actually dangerous. I truly believed in this when I was a pickme and I almost got killed trying to save the “devil”. I also read about a girl that got shot by her boyfriend. Her family said they knew about the abuse but she always went back because she wanted to save him by loving him, as he had had a really rough childhood. That was me to a T. I survived, she didn’t. It breaks my heart.

My charity case had the nerve to tell me that he wasn’t sure about me at first because I was “chubby”. Chubby or not I still was out of his league. He was fugly but I liked his personality in the beginning. I have learned my lesson.

I’ve been getting ads for her and do not know why.

I believe women are women and trans women are trans women. Both women and trans women deserve respect and I would fight for them and their rights but I detest how much they attack women for using gendered language when talking about women. Trans women are trans women. They’ve had experiences that have shaped their identity that are inherently tied to them having gender dysphoria up until transitioning. I will never understand what that feels like just as they will never understand the pain of bl…

I think it’s because there’s a fundamental difference between Trans Men and Trans Women. Trans men were women, trans women were men. Men always insert themselves in places and take and assert their power. I think this is just another form of that.

My ex is a veteran. He seemed awesome at first. Slowly I discovered that while deployed he has lots of sex with prostitutes... months into our relationship he started being physically abusive. The relationship ended after he put me in a chokehold until I blacked out. He is a narcissistic sociopath. He is dangerous. He served our country. I don’t trust armed men (cops/veterans) because they are the people that have made me feel the most unsafe.

Sexism will exist everywhere. My mother was a police woman and she was sexually harassed and assaulted nonstop. I honestly think one of the reasons why I became a teacher is because it’s a female dominated career and I STILL GOT HARASSED BY STUDENTS. It’s our reality. We can’t let it stop us from achieving what we want.

I’m sorry. The line your sergeant said perfectly sums up my attitude with men in general. I don’t fraternize because they really only see me as a baby maker or a sexual object. It’s just a fact. Nice for what.

Yeah. My ex was in the military and after I brought this up he said he thought women shouldn’t join because they’re a (sexual) distraction. I ended up leaving him.

Especially not caring about the outcome. That lets women know that you are confident and that ultimately is a really desirable trait.

I’ve always had this question until recently. This worked for me, I hope it works for you. I drew a hot bath with moisturizing epsom salt and bubbles. I sat in the hot water for a while, probably ten minutes and then took my sweet time shaving. For the first time in my life (28 yrs) I didn’t get red bumps.

Yeah. I’m Puerto Rican. In real life I noticed a lot of attention from other Puerto Ricans or white men. I’m trying online dating and the diversity in the response I’m getting has been pretty cool!

Honest response: it’s subjective. All of my 4 best friends were strangers once. And I considered ALL OF THEM to be ridiculously pretty and more beautiful than me. After becoming friends it became clear that at first they also thought I was really pretty. So I learned not to be so hard on myself and to see the beauty in myself that others were noticing but I was too insecure to notice. In addition to this. Looks are not everything. They make a first impression but personality, values, sense of hu…

As a married woman: Before sex- little bit of conversation, ease our way into it & foreplay. During sex- It depends on the mood. But usually, eye contact, hands all over my body, start slow and finish rough. After sex- kisses, cuddling, showering together and then going to sleep.

I consider myself a feminist, and I’ve met a slew of less than noble men since I was a child. But after having been raised by a single mother, there is no way in hell that anyone could convince me that a child is better off without both parents. Unless the father is physically abusive, in my opinion 2 are better than one. When my daughters see me or my husband come home, their eyes light up and they’re ecstatic. It makes me happy that they get to feel like that twice everyday because it’s both M…
