1: Why do you think men are disadvantaged or lack any real power in society? It is a fact that men posses most of the wealth therefore they have the power to influence and shape other peoples behavior (You work for money) From what i've seen, women generally seem to have a sense of identity as a woman, and relate to other women easily. i've never seen the same with men. Men don't identify as a group the way it appears to me that women often do. Even if men do control most of the wealth and power…

i agree with you. Being targeted towards girls rather than both boys and girls (there really aren't many shows just targeted at boys) definitely implants some low-level sexism in there. i don't think it's particularly harmful as long as serious issues (like the domestic abuse episode) are handled well. The same way i wouldn't have a problem with a show for boys doing a similar thing (although they really don't exist, which is mildly troubling in its own right. :/ )

So even if it was voluntary but thousands of irresponsible adults did not and that effected the whole you would still argue against it being mandatory? Yes. Absolutely. Things should not be forced on individuals. Period. Even though this leaves them vulnerable to others for others to make that choice for them and put them into indentured servitude? Yes. Absolutely. What should happen is that women should not be allowed to force children on men who do not want to be fathers, similar to the way wo…

"Forcing things on people" is the definition of evil. Sex is great, but take away consent and it turns into a horrible crime. Military service is admirable, but forced conscription ruins (and ends) lives. If you want to be circumcised, then go for it, but you have no right to do it to someone else. Any issue of human rights (men's or women's or gay rights or anybody) can be boiled down to this. To answer your question in the most succinct way i can: People own their own bodies. You have no right…

Thought i'd weigh in here... The show is definitely female-centric, and they do shit all over Spike a lot (which is aggravating,) but i don't think the show is anti-male at all. The female ponies don't have any sense of entitlement, and taking responsibility for their actions is part of what the show tries to teach. It's a far cry from what we see coming from the feminazis. Also, take the season 2 finale for example: (spoiler alert?) they depict an abusive relationship in which the man is the vi…

Just wanted to say good story, and i think it's incredibly sad that you would avoid sex because you were ashamed of your normal penis (i avoid sex because i'm ashamed of the fact that i was circumcised.) It's great to hear that you've gotten over your insecurities, and you and your father both sound like great men.

If in some countries you had your sex organs sliced up and sometimes sewn shut? My sex organs WERE sliced up. Were yours?

You know what else prevents the spread of STDs? Condoms. And not sleeping around. But hey, let's not educate children, let's just mutilate their genitals and take away their rights to their own bodies instead! Saves the parents some awkward conversations later, yes? /s Parents circumcising their children at birth is wrong. Full-stop. End of story. And if the boy doesn't listen when his parents tell him to use condoms and not sleep around, then that's HIS decision, and not something that the pare…

i posted here a while ago about my own circumcision, and i would like to weigh in here. The discussion here keeps referring to the decision to circumcise as the decision of the mother, or father, or both parents together. Although this might be consistent with the current law in most places, it is ABSOLUTELY WRONG morally. People should be able to make choices regarding themselves by themselves, and no one should be able to impose their will on anyone else. Why talk about the right of any parent…

Thanks for the great reply. i don't have time to respond to all of it now, but it's all good advice. I would show my parents and girlfriend the Bullshit circumcision episode i've been planning on doing this when i get a chance.

I don't hate my parents for doing it to me, because they didn't have any bad intentions. i underatand your position and agree with you. i'm going to try to focus on getting my parents to understand that what they did was wrong, but not hate them or shame them for it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
