You could be right about it not being feminists who spread this lie, but fortunately it's not the only piece of evidence of certain feminists spreading lies. I'm not commenting on the intention behind planting this story. I'm just saying that when MRA's make claims that some feminists have been successfully tarnishing men's image for the sake of their own agenda, and their claims are written off, this Lovelace story provides evidence that certain unethical feminists do in fact have the ability to spread false knowledge. It's relevant in truly understanding (and acknowledging the existence of) the power, effort, and success of certain subgroups of feminists to spread false information. When MRA's mention how men's image is often falsely tarnished by certain subgroups of feminists, they are usually disregarded. It is usually implied that a group of women, by nature of women's less privileged status, could not possibly be pulling any sort of bs like this successfully. Removing gender would just release people from the expectations to act a certain way and to take on certain roles. Even if there are some differences between the behaviour of boys and girls that are ingrained, this doesn't change anything. Those difference will still manifest, but there will be no social bs telling them that they should act this way or should act that way.

I don't think so. I think you can continue doing typical man things without defining them as man things. If you and your wife want to have a relationship where you earn money and she raises the kids, you can do that, without it being a broader social expectation for men and women. It seems like she was talking about getting rid of the categories, not people with white skin and people who have penises. She's basically advocating post-genderism, which I don't personally disagree with too much. Her idea that gender categories were created solely to exploit women seems inaccurate though.
