I was in a Thai place about a year ago and we were eating and this guy starts coming in and out 30s at a time for like 20 min straight to scream incoherently at the staff asking about why his take out order isn't ready yet. What makes these circumstances so exceptional? They seem more common everyday, especially with quarantine and the rise of work from home as a 1-2 punch. The key point is that there wasn't any real scarcity until perceived scarcity caused panic buying, which then caused real scarcity. In the late stage, yes the scarcity is real. But the cause is perception, and that is a very real part of the solution, if everyone would just stop panic buying.

The real claim here is that (by your analogy) women have become very picky eaters and refuse to consider fruit with any blemishes/bruises. Only the most delicious looking fruit ever gets touched, even if it's not that tasty (but that's a different conversation). So yes, a "berry" guy can do as well as a "citrus" guy but that doesn't mean they don't share a very specific and nearly exhaustive set of traits, as different as you may insist they seem.

I thought i was the only one this happened to lol. I have had a couple large social circles in school and nothing ever happened. Very few unattached women or chances to meet friends with 2 or 3 degrees of separation from the main group unless you're specifically hanging with party animals.

Before reading: understand that when i generalize about women in only talking about ~70-80%, certainly plenty of women don't perpetuate what i say here but it's still enough of an effect to make waves in the dating pool.
