It sounds like you and your wife are lucky to have had no experience with this particular issue, based on your comment!

This is cute, thank you for the idea and the perspective!

He was supportive of me trying to find a job in my field! I knew he didn’t love the idea of me stripping but never understood it to be an issue as he met me there and knew it was temporary. I’ll try to be more direct so I can understand better!

I used to be! Sorry for the confusion. Do you think it is still negative to wear similar outfits in a committed relationship?

in a previous relationship, i felt absolutely destroyed after looking at pictures of his exes. at the time i was so sure that they were so much more attractive and desirable and i was confused about how he could like me. looking back on those pictures a few years later, and pictures of myself….i was a beautiful girl who couldn’t see it at all. those other girls were beautiful, too, in their own ways. understand that your self-view is warped, but it can get better.

Thank you so much for your response. Unfortunately I do have rather significant trust issues stemming from my family upbringing. I’ve journaled, gone to therapy- I think I need to start actively trying to trust no matter how scary. I do think that he is a good person and should be trustworthy. I think my weak points are that I’ve taken so long to graduate (6 years) and I’m afraid that I won’t be able to find a good job in our field because of that. I want to stay home in the future if we have ch…

i’ve had short hair for a while and really struggled with feeling feminine- this sounds silly but little butterfly clips to hold back my side bangs look & feel super cute, and i’ve gotten a lot of compliments!

Thank you! I should have included in the post that I brought up exclusivity, and he agreed to it, but I’m hesitant to bring up further commitment before he does, if that makes sense.

Oh gosh I would really like that to be true!! I just feel like because I was the one who brought up exclusivity it might not be so certain? I do feel a bit anxious when he’s at work and we can’t talk much, that’s a good point! I do have really good friends but they mostly live far away since I moved to this city for school.

it’s great that you’re so involved in your faith- what other hobbies do you have? maybe take up something like yoga, or a barre class, (on campus?) to help you feel more graceful and confident.

i just want to say that, in the places i have personally occupied, i have ALWAYS been grateful for men that have offered or come to my aid. i can think of several times off the top of my head (flat tire, spilled coffee on myself, lost by myself in the city) that men were EXTREMELY helpful to me, without any expectations.

see if you can get a zofran prescription from your healthcare provider for persistent nausea, and drink teas with lower amounts of caffeine (green tea, yerba mate). if you’re on any medications, that could be a factor to discuss with your prescriber

this is something i’m struggling with too, OP. i don’t find marijuana use to be against my beliefs (i feel like it’s the same as G-D telling us to drink wine and be merry) but a lot of traditional men do view it as problematic. i’d also quit before becoming pregnant and while breastfeeding, as there is limited research on its effects during pregnancy. it’s not something i need to do all the time, but giving it up forever feels a bit much to me. i have met traditional men who didn’t view it as a …

check in with your local library/community center/nature center and see about events/classes/groups for you and baby. go on long stroller walks/ drive to a park or nice area with sidewalks near you and bring stroller and snacks. look up recipes for natural face & hair masks and make them with or without kiddos. take a milk bath. get yoga or home workout videos from the library if gyms are expensive.

there’s a broad difference between weaponizing sex to get what you want in an emotional situation and just not feeling up to it once in a while. if your husband isn’t taking the time to get you fully aroused, then it’s absolutely fine to ask him to spend more time taking care of you in that way! it’s also totally okay to take your time discovering what works for both of you. it’s new to you! i think women’s rp mainly emphasizes that your sexual intimacy should always be a priority.

no offense at all but if your anxiety is impacting your life so extensively, i think that should be your first priority and that you should only date when you feel better with regards to your mental health. once you feel comfortable, look into classes, free lectures, festivals, even shops, that cater to your interests. if you are religious, do some exploring at several local places of worship; they may have groups and events where you have the opportunity to connect further. volunteer at local c…

medication does the first step of allowing you to separate your disapproval of reality from your emotional state; from there, therapy can help teach you further.

nowhere on women’s rp will you find posts referring to men by derogatory names. popular posts in men’s rp refer to women as sluts, bitches, and other terms which are generally frowned upon.

i’m so glad it’s been helpful! i find even taking a shower after work or school helps me get into a better, more relaxed mindset. and i never feel like meditating lol but it helps! hope you find what works for you (:

do you feel anxious when you cry? or temporarily devastated? i’d take some time to journal about your repeated feelings and identify steps to calm yourself in the moment. for general emotional well-being i might suggest meditation.

i really do wish there were more modest, classy clubs with old fashioned music and dancing. i really like dancing, and being dressed up, and maybe your friends don’t know how to enjoy being out without clubbing. which imo there are many valid reasons to dislike or be uncomfortable with. it’s wrong for them to be making you feel bad in this way. i’d suggest setting a boundary and offering other activities to engage in together- or even making new friends who want to do the same things you do.
