Only made it 4 years 8 months & 19 days without having a second major surgery from the first one. I’m angry at myself for letting myself get into the state of needing a second surgery. I have a fear of getting a third surgery. I have a desire to not have a surgery in the next 10 years. And I have the chance to rebuild myself after the second surgery to be in the physical health (primarily) that I want to be at. Started a Tony Robbins book and it’s given me insights on achieving my goals better. …

It was a step away from going out and trying to meet someone. I don't go to bars really, the few times I have were as DD. I have focused more on my hobbies, passions, health, and relationships to friends & family. I don't care if someone drinks as long as they don't over indulge or become sloppy. I meet women other ways at libraries, campus, gym, etc. Liquid courage is nice to have but fragile. I like myself more without it. If someone brings up drinking I say, "I stopped drinking to focus on my…

Had a date, girl enjoyed. I was visibly excited, cloud nine, very affectionate. Girl called to talk yesterday, not sure if we should date, thought I wasn't sincere with affection, moved too fast. I have a date in two weekends with her. 45-120 minutes. I want the girl and I'll succeed but not sure what to do for a date. Tips?

I want to believe in the best , I want society to still be able to change. However, I don't see it happening realistically. The flip side of your proposal is that it could potentially be used to lock down a couple that should not be together. For instance, two people who do not love each other or a high value mate to a low value mate. It wouldn't raise the value of betas. It would be used to increase the rate of divorce if betas would take action to finding they've been duped, or permanently bra…

I have a book back home that discusses this, and I can edit my post once I find it. The womb views a male fetus as a parasite, after birth of the first son, the womb has more hormones to discourage another male using the mother's resources. Female fetuses do not change the hormone count at any point. The chance of gayness increases by a 1/3 after each subsequent son due to the womb environment. This chance of gayness may be present, but gayness is not entirely a nature nor nurture condition. I h…

Sex is an expense for guys. If you want to have sex, then you have to pay out. For us that means a personality, looks, money, power, etc. you can call in Hoover have a friend pick you up pay for a motel or call a taxi or if you live in the area your apartment.

What do you have to benefit? Is the chick even worth it? From the post, sure you may get some sex, but beyond that there is nothing to gain. In comparison to the new guy, who fulfills a fantasy of cuckoldry and has sex. I don't know anything about you, I'm not going to look, I'm not going to ask. You can do better. My $0.02 is to not waste your time.

To add to the reply by /u/le_king_falcon , honor should be a concept that should only be given by you to someone else that deserves the recognition. The ideas of honor and integrity for men have been around for a while because we created civilization. When we agreed to form a tribe and not kill each other over some woman, we created trust, from holding trust in each other we created integrity, and by continually showing trust and integrity we become honorable. When a man was/is recognized as hon…

What about the advantages to marriage? I am playing devil's advocate here. I find that some of the advantages of marriage include: having offspring (Legacy through Blood), a confidante in your partner (for at least a time), social acceptance for the norm. The last case is beneficial in the instances of running for political office (ie there has only ever been one bachelor US president) and possibly in business if your partner is able to benefit you in social events from work.

I would say that yes it would. Women talk, and they would here about you from gossip that you have low smv. You can counter gossip by holding frame and amused mastery. As long as you show that it doesn't get to you then you'll be alright pony boy. It's a crutch as long as you let it be one to you. I have dealt with chronic illness, depression, and (albeit minor) fine tremors in the hands. When I didn't own it, I was either receiving pity or the butt of jokes. Own it, state it isn't a big deal to you and you don't accept pity for it.

The girls you are bringing back aren't going to be high value for the most part, correct? I would suggest the game blitz instead. If you are close to a few different major cities, you can have each city be a plate to your game blitz, rent at different hotels, visit different clubs/bars, and prevent becoming a regular anywhere for a longer time duration.

I have a LTR that dated and had sex with a guy in their social group. This was a short term fling ~2 months. I was not in the picture at all then. Do you have more than one plate? If so, do stuff with that one. If not, work on yourself such as meditation, the gym, build up an old skill, learn a new skill, pull off a project at work, have fun with your mates, enjoy a hobby. That is true. However, both MLK and Ghandi had the power of change in their movements, women. They may have stood alone early on, but over time they found like minded individuals of both sexes to help their movements. The women that joined brought in more men. This small cycle built up the movements until their ideas were accepted/heard by the governing party. Yes, individually these two men may have been quite successful, but they used the strategy feminism now uses of having enough females in …

It was a mixture of things: depression, Parkinson's, alimony, and who knows what else. A sad thing for me to say is that one of my childhood stars let his fate consume him. Robin was by far a comedian and actor of caliber. I feel that his later years he became more sedentary. This slow apathy would have choked his options down to a few. The phrase, "You either die a hero or live long enough to be the villain." Comes to mind (May have altered it). You know you in a further wholeness then she does, as do your friends. One of the ways of dealing with women mentioned on the subreddit is to treat women like children. Her reaction to their stories of you was the equivalent of taking the kiddie gloves off or being the villain. This goes against her perception of you as the hero. Let me know if that makes sense.

I did the same thing in October. I stayed stone faced and never talked to her again. This burns the bridge beyond imagination and crushes her. Find a new hobby, I recommend epistemology, coking, boxing, or racquetball. If you want to go back, figure out why effort wasn't 50:50, communicate every detail of you as clearly as possible and ask every possible question that you have before you get back together. Rebuilding trust can take a bit of time but if it's worth it then good luck.

Your descriptions fit, but I still struggle to see the advantages of PUA over any time period of dedication. I know that I've been on trp for a few month and still a fledgling but what are some (if any) permanent advantages from PUA into any other realm of a man's life? With trp you already show finding your own interests, building your health/fitness, and developing your own person.

I am only 21, so I may not say it perfectly for a son. Girls are different from guys. They react over every little thing. They value different things and play with very different rules. You do not play by their rules, you play with your own because your rules are clear things. Such as if someone wrongs me then I either forgive them (for a simple misdeed) or walk away from them (for a large misdeed). I hold myself to checking my phone maybe every hour and a half. If it is a phone call, then I will check it immediately to see of it is medically related or a family member. I find that technology has crippled the younger generation (my generation) by SMS text rather then face to face talking. I have just started talking to a cute girl or two if they are just texting. You do not have to tell them anything. If they directly ask if you are in a monogamous relationship with them would be when you explain what you are doing and want. @Meglomaniac is right to say to her that she has to earn an exclusive relationship. A good rule to follow is that if you give out money to anyone (including family and friends) that you should not expect to get it back, ever. As for your friends, if you know that they'd die for you or at least do the things you've done for them already, then you should help them out. However, you should nearly never give out money to anyone. You're friends seem to be using you more than being friends at this point, which I'm sorry for but you need to hear it.

I'd think that tanning is fine, I would however focus on natural tanning instead of tanning beds if it's possible in your area. I'd still be careful about tanning. Everyone has a limit to how much and well they can tan. I definitely relate to your curiosity about trimming. I keep my privates clean shaven, and I trim the rest of the body hair. For me at least, it isn't really possible to be bare skin with the amount of skin I have.

As a college student, the idea of a vasectomy still terrifies me. I don't know how you were able to go through it, but I understand it as one of (if not) the best form of birth control. But don't you want your own genes to continue on though? I'm not looking for the alpha/beta answer but this is the ultimate decision over a part of your life. I want to see your POV or at least how one's thinking gets closer to yours.

I had listened to the actual song a few weeks ago because of the commercials it came on. It's a great song and I like it for the way it isn't in your face pump up music. It's smooth.

First fr. Last week was first week of spring semester at my university. I ran into a few guy friends and exchanged numbers, raising social capital by being a Goto guy. I received two girls numbers, a taken girl (more in a bit), and one girl I plan swap numbers with tomorrow. The taken girl I met in my morning lab on Thursday. At lunch, she's waiting ahead in line and sees me, she waves and I smile back. Get closer in line and listening to what she puts on her burrito (it's like a moe's). I say, …

There's two ways of disagreeing with a truth. Deep down there's some part of you that you can't admit is right. You are so closed off to other possibly better opinions that you refuse to hear them.

Thank you for the link, I'll listen through it and try to find my knowledge, my diamond in the rough. If I can find a closer source to the origin, then I'll post it here so other may find it.

Thank you for the opinions guys (or gals)! I do realize that none of them are ready to be unplugged, and it pains me. I see these guys deal with relationship issues that TRP can explain why they occur and ways to deal with them. I have refrained from using as much RP language as possible but have sprinkled a few words in when we talk. I know that I will be wasting my efforts with my group of friends by trying to get them to accept reality, but I want to believe if I can at least make a crack in …

I will remember that line for future use, at this point he's closed off the situation and has apologized without groveling. I know I hate being called out on my shit, but I still appreciate knowing a better answer.

That's what I told him to do. I didn't plead, but I told him to trust me and not text first. He listened, for a bit. But at some point between then and now, he had chosen to send a few more text and eventually caved into apologizing. Now, I'm hearing them say don't tell a women when they're wrong. That one I think is a no-no. If you're wrong, you should have it pointed out to you.

You can bring a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. It'd be great if you could just dump info into his brain, but he may either not be ready for it emotionally or maturity wise. You can show him some things she did that you heard of from him that are examples of hamstering or some other trait that made the girl not worthwhile. You can show him Briffault's Law, sociosexual ladders of men vs women, show how there are more women that are just like her that he could have dated (show that w…

Ignore it, and if she tells other people you can do these two things (that I've seen): ignore it/not your business; if it's anything legal, the proper authorities/people/group/person is handling it.

I like Keirsey's explanation of Meyers-Briggs the most. keirsey.com/4temps/champion.asp Mine is ENFP, The Champion. I find that I act it out pretty easily and it fits my way of thinking. As for helping them, I'm not too sure if it is plausible or wise to do so. Because the people that take the tests and identify with their results, it becomes a sort of proof for the persons as to who they are. To try to tell them that it is society's fault that they are who they are, would definitely incite emot…

Here is my way of viewing it. It may be wrong, or right. But just with other social sciences and interactions, welcome to gray. Each of the qualities are on a spectrum. First Imagine yourself as a video game character. Instead of the traditional stats such as: strength, dexterity, charisma, intelligence, wisdom, constitution; you have the following instead: alpha, beta, omega, delta, sigma, lambda, gamma. Second Now each of these is on a sliding scale and not a number value. Everyday, your align…

I feel like the value if men and women are two different graphs. Women are more like a bell curve where they hit a max point then eventually hit a stable point not dropping below value x. Men can be akin to either exponential or polynomial graphs (depending on their life choices). The age range of 25/27-27/29 seems a fair age range where the value of partners is about equal. It's a bit harder for guys to compete at the peak ages of women's values because guys are yet to have their full value or …

From your post, I take it that you currently are in college/university. I am at the same age about as you. When I see Asian guys around campus, I see two types: very quiet and a small close group of friends (mostly make friends); the other is the social butterfly, loud, funny, and enjoys himself. I think that if you want to be more appeasing to women then you should start expanding your social circle. Not only by talking to more women, but by building your social capital to the point where you h…

I do things that I like, and I do them regardless if she likes them or not. When I was younger in Boy Scouts (got my Eagle, and it helped me for the better), I would go camping and hiking almost every weekend. I'm trying to get back into that now because I miss it and it is a way for me to relax. Racquetball is something that I've picked up and college and I continue to do after my classwork. Everyone loves a challenge. We all want something we can't get. By being disinterested in your lady friends, they aren't receiving the attention that they normally expect from someone that they are spending time with. They want your attention, and so they start trying to get your attention by whatever means that they think of using. I'm still transitioning into TRP mindset, but that seems to be an underlying strategy that isn't normally expressed. If someone with more theory and/or understanding…

You're appearance makes me instantly think of James Franco. idk if you have heard this before or not but it comes with good intent. You can look at what he has done for style that has helped him be successful. Or you could go to sites like the art of manliness, I am alpha M, or Real Men Real Style. A lot of these sites' contents are focused on style in general but they may be able to lead you to noticing a way for you to stick out. It could be a simple change in style to make you pop out in a cr…

Over the weekend, found out a female friend was having issues with her boyfriend. He's always been extremely beta since whole relationship (4 years or so), but they both got what they wanted from the relationship and so it worked. He's moved from Atlanta, GA to Gainesville, FL for school. Since his switch of education he has not invested anytime into her and they've only been arguing. I gave her my opinion of what to do and ended up talking about a lot of RP information with her. She seemed to u…

Read through the sidebar, it's the best place to start. The tenet I do my best to follow is to improve yourself to become a better version of yourself then you were previously. IE, just picking up flossing and keeping up with it is a step towards making yourself a better person.

1&5. If you want to get over approach anxiety, this is what I've been doing in general. I try to approach at least two strangers a day and make conversation for a minute. I am at a university so it isn't too hard to find people. I either talk about something like: are you excited for the bowl match up? ; I give them a compliment/question such as, "Where'd you get that jacket/hair cut/etc?" or "I like your shoes." (When she was walking around in a neon green and neon orange sock instead). When I …

I'll have to think about it. I know at this point I've been conditioned to use a point system, so that is why I had looked for the Heartiste scale. With the binary, I know I would keep adding qualifiers until it was either 0 or somewhat positive. So I am hesitant to say the least to use binary over a larger point scale.
/r/askTRP

Here is the link. It was by Heartiste. The scale is actually a range from -83 to 64, but being an alpha female is 30 or more points. there is a male version I will list after the female version. http://heartiste.wordpress.com/dating-market-value-test-for-women/ http://heartiste.wordpress.com/dating-market-value-test-for-men/
