thanks edgar_alan_bro. I'm not a fan of the cut after three tries idea. I'm not so emotionally invested in the invites that they "hurt" and the excuses are legit. With other options on the go this one feels like its got the makings of a slow burn (its not oneitis here). Like johndoevodka says below I can learn more by sticking it out at least until I get a "no and please never talk to me again" rather than giving up at three. Excellent. I like the sound of this advice. Like you, I'm not happy to cut after a three times (or whatever number really) ... Even if its not a romance a new friend would be welcome and from a pua perspective, the social proof, the wider social circle, there's no real benefit to cutting out. The build more rapport it a good idea though. Maybe stop with invitations and chat about cool mutual interests via Facebook.

agreed. Perhaps the wall of text didn't make it clear enough that I wasn't asking how to score with a married woman. Maybe I should have left that part of the story "out" as irrelevant or trimmed it down. I w trying to establish in "the set up" that I was doing pretty well in terms of having an "on" day.
