If you want to know what “Rape Culture” really looks like, just pay a visit to Islamic-State-held territory in Iraq and Syria. There is no rape culture at any USA college. It is no coincidence that most of the angry young women making these complaints are childless.Women in prison are subjected to rape culture as well. http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/02/us/troubles-at-womens-prison-test-alabama.html?_r=0 | /r/MensRights | 30/12/14 09:38 PM
Anyone watching SNL right now?I don't dispute that there are more men in prison. But that is proportionate to the crimes that are committed - most violent crimes are committed by men. We can argue that arrest rates reflect discrimination against man, but the truth of the matter is, even giving leeway for that, more men commit crimes than women. You still haven't given me data that men who are convicted of the same crimes as women are given harsher sentences, all other things being equal. I've in fact told you that that's not… | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 05:44 PM
Anyone watching SNL right now?I meant to point out that black women receive harsher penalties than black men for the same/similar crimes, particularly drug crimes but also homicides. I don't know that white women receive harsher penalties than white men, or whether they're given proportionate sentences. I would suspect that they're proportionate. So, you know, you can't really say that men receive harsher sentences for the same crime. Unless you have that data to show me? Even if on average men receive harsher sentence (whic… | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 04:26 PM
Anyone watching SNL right now?Men receive harsher sentences for the same crime Hey I don't think this is true, or, at least, not true for all crimes. The drug war has disproportionately affected black women in particular. See: http://www.correctionalassociation.org/resource/mandatory-injustice-case-histories-of-women-convicted-under-new-yorks-rockefeller-drug-laws Obviously, the statistics show that way more men are incarcerated and that is a huge problem that deserves advocates but I think saying that, on average, women rec… | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 02:45 PM
| -1 | Why ApproachAnxiety.com anti-nice posts are wrong and flawed.Using "woman" as a pejorative to defend your own ill-founded assertions. Charming. | /r/seduction | 22/01/11 04:50 AM |
Why ApproachAnxiety.com anti-nice posts are wrong and flawed.Okay, I concede that I should have read your post better. I was just turned off by the (likely hyperbolic) assertion that women who are "unimpressed, unphased, or expectant of door holding" are shallow, materialistic and lack class. I mean, what is the "right" response some one is supposed to have? Excitement? :P And when I think about, I do expect my SO to hold the door for me and to generally treat me with respect. I do the same for him. | /r/seduction | 22/01/11 02:00 AM
Why ApproachAnxiety.com anti-nice posts are wrong and flawed.Holding the door open for someone is polite. Finding politeness attractive is not shallow. Over-analyzing the metaphysics of door opening is unattractive. | /r/seduction | 21/01/11 08:11 PM
