I started publicly dancing like two years ago and now its awesome. im at the point where i can just go and dance and be in my own zone, and ive noticed people really pick up on my energy and want to dance with me (smiles, nods, etc... little acknowledgements that i am having a time). its easier to meet people because im recognizable as that guy that was having a stupid amount of fun by himself on the dancefloor (make sure to not be the guy that is trying way to hard though. this is for your own …

reading through this now. thank you for sharing this!! i am long overdue to start working towards a lot of the goals that this book attempts to help you accomplish. after just reading the intro, i can tell that this will be very helpful and insightful.

i get really caught up in the 'respect' thing as well. and still follow that philosophy. i think it is possible to find a balance in being more assertive and still coming off as respectful and not 'creepy'. its a fine line to walk, but it is possible.

i think its valid to point out that there is a different between being aggressive and assertive. in all of those stories, he never forced himself on any of the girls or came on in an extremely strong way. he just continued to escalate until he got a solid sign to stop (which he didnt).

good lord, i needed to read something like this so badly. thanks for sharing your personal experiences. i fall victim to that voice inside my head way too often, and am constantly kicking myself thinking of all the missed opportunities ive racked up over the years. an inspiring read.

alright, i see your point. californication and by the way are some of my go-to's (blood/sugar being the best), but im talking about when they were really good to SEE. frusciante stole the show live any time he was around, but the energy they had way back in the day (as a band) was and is unparalelled. these guys were impressive enough that they played at strip clubs and people would ACTUALLY STOP WATCHING THE STRIPPERS TO WATCH THEM. also, dont sell earlier albums short, mothers milk in particul…

right on man! take that travelling time to really put yourself out there. consider it an experiment. you have nothing to lose, and are in a totally different setting. see how far out of your comfort zone you can push yourself, and youll likely come back with even more confidence. just found seddit myself a week or so ago and have been doing a lot of reading and thinking about how much my anxious thoughts can dictate my actions. glad to see its been working out for others as well. next step is to…
